I feel like attention to detail could be a little better. I had to give feedback about eliminating some bugs like it not working properly on mobile, the tables formatted weird, or small UI issues. Overall though it wasn't anything major.

RapidDev hit the mission-critical deadline for our app launch and delivered a function application in about 6 weeks. All the functionality worked, and we have been tweaking and making quality of life (QOL) improvements since then.

We were given a PM that was very communicative, and a large team of developers working overtime to achive an incredibly compressed timeline. We have found the team to be highly responsive, always ready to implement the features or correct bugs that have appeared.

Interacting with the PM, management, and developers is very easy, and you can tell how much they love delivering a quality product. Our company vision's for streamlined operations aligned seamlessly and both of our companies understand the value of replacing SAAS products with proprietary solutions using NoCode tools. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Rapid Dev could have done differently?

Very Minor things, largely exaserbated by our companies compressed timeline. When areas of improvement were mentioned to RapidDev staff, they were very quick to implement them.

All things considered, delivery was on time and very reasonable for the about of iterations needed for the site being developed.

Matt's engagement through the process and check in. Rapid Dev dedicated a lot of time to working with me through changes of scope and enhancements to make a quality product.

At times I felt there were some miscommunications. Unsure whether due to language barriers or just lack of attention to detail. This wasn't common, just pointing out as an area of improvement. Overall the experience has been great. Looking forward to completing some last items.

Rapid Dev conducted onboarding calls to identify the key features and functionalities to be developed.  They outlined the scope of work, but they also included many sketches along the way to be sure they were grasping the overview of the purpose and functions of the software. The key features of the software created were student scheduling, intervention tracking, enrichment program management, reporting, and an easy user interface for educators.

Improved scheduling efficiency with the use of software in comparison of schools currently using spreadsheets.

I was updated every week by Friday with an email which usually included a loom video to see the progress.  I was never wondering if work was taking place, because communication was so strong. A comprehensive project plan was developed, outlining milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.  I also approved every process and steps as well.

The most impressive aspect of Rapid Developers was their attention to detail which ensured every aspect of the software was carefully crafted and thoroughly tested.

No.  My experience with them was great.

We needed an expert in low-code and no-code environments. We wanted to expand our capabilities and increase the complexity and quality of our work.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rapid Dev provides ongoing development support and project work for our applications, which include everything from the usual simple maintenance activities and bug fixes to some complex integrations across the core platform of Bubble. They’ve also implemented code-based solutions that integrate into no-code environments.

What is the team composition?

We have anywhere from 2–4 teammates working on the project, including project managers, developers, designers, and business analysts.

How did you come to work with Rapid Dev?

We found them by searching for the best developers on Bubble and cloud-based environments. Rapid Dev was the right fit to achieve our goals.

We started working with them in January 2024, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Rapid Dev implemented a solution that had previously taken more than four months to solve, and they did it within two weeks. Moreover, their quality is excellent. If there’s a bug or an issue, which always appear in the development process, Rapid Dev rectifies it quickly, clearly, and efficiently.

How did Rapid Dev perform from a project management standpoint?

They contain the budgets and meet deadlines more effectively than other providers we’ve worked with in the industry. We communicate through Jira, video calls and meetings, and sometimes direct phone calls.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Yauheni (Project Manager) has been outstanding, and the business lead has provided fantastic support in solving complex and business-level issues. Overall, we send kudos to Matt (CEO) and Yauheni.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service is excellent, and they’ve provided excellent project management and development service across code and no-code environments. Rapid Dev goes above and beyond to understand our needs and execute regardless of geographical constraints. We’re based on the exact opposite side of the world, and we’ve still built an excellent working relationship.

No, I don’t have anything to say.

Be clear with your scope in both documentation and vision. Also, allow space and time for the experts to provide input back into your scope.

We wanted to implement a new custom CRM software for our specific needs within the business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rapid Dev has built a custom CRM that enables us to manage, automate, and streamline our business from beginning to end. The scope is pretty general, and they’ve helped us put it all together on Bubble. Overall, they’ve done all the UI/UX design and development for the CRM.

What is the team composition?

We’ve had about three project managers. Since we don’t communicate much with the development team in the backend, we speak with the project manager.

How did you come to work with Rapid Dev?

We initially submitted a request on the Bubble platform looking for a developer. Rapid Dev submitted a proposal along with many other developers. Ultimately, we liked them because they had expertise in what we were looking to build.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $50,000–$60,000 AUD (approximately $33,000–$40,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started doing business with them in May 2023 and are still working with them. We do updates and improvements.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of Rapid Dev’s work has been excellent. If there are issues, bugs, or teething problems, they’re quick to respond and fix them, so we’ve been really happy.

Moreover, the CRM has massively impacted our productivity. It enables us to automate and streamline our business to grow it without hiring additional people.

How did Rapid Dev perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve always been great with deadlines. Rapid Dev is honest and upfront about how long things will take. They also tend to the features and requests really quickly.

The team uses Jira to manage all of our projects.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Anna (COO) has been great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The way they quickly turn features around is impressive. Rapid Dev is quick to respond.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have much feedback regarding what they could do better; they’ve been great. Issues always pop up, but Rapid Dev has quickly responded to our queries.

I recommend being specific about the outcomes you’re looking for. Make sure they understand the scope of work you want them to perform; that’ll give you the best outcome.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rapid Dev?

We already had an MVP in the market, so we wanted to take the feedback we had collected and build a more robust version of the product.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rapid Dev has developed the first iteration of our platform using Bubble. We have an in-house designer, and they’ve taken the responsibility of web development.

Initially, we provided them with all the business development requirements for the platform. We then walked them through the customer profile we built for the mock-up designs we had done internally. After we set the project scope and some projected timelines and goals, we started our first offering together.

The platform has two different perspectives. Rapid Dev has built a front-facing customer experience through booking and calendar management features. They’ve also developed some internal features through API connections and integrated webhooks that help us manage the customer experience internally. Overall, they’ve developed and rolled out front- and backend development work.

What is the team composition?

We started with one dedicated project manager. Through our relationship, we’ve increased to two project managers. One in particular supports and liaises with our design and development team for the project management sprints. The second project manager is the internal teammate who works with their internal development team.

Additionally, we have several dedicated developers, but I can’t recall how many there are.

How did you come to work with Rapid Dev?

We initially found them through a Google search.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $25,000–$35,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began our engagement in October 2022, and it’s still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve had great success since launching the platform in November 2023. In a few months, we’ve gained over 1,000 new active users. We’ve also secured several dozen bookings on the platform and seen about 70% new user month-over-month growth since the launch.

How did Rapid Dev perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is one of their strong suits. They’re great communicators. We have a weekly stand-up and use Google Docs as a tool. Additionally, we use a lot of asynchronous video calling through Loom, which is probably our primary form of communication, along with Google Docs.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I’d like to give a special shout-out to the project manager on their team. She’s been a fantastic support and project manager. Moreover, she’s been very nimble and able to adjust to changes in our company’s direction. She’s done an excellent job helping us to stay on track and make adjustments along the way.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Rapid Dev is an excellent developer for no-code and low-code solutions like Bubble.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Rapid Dev has a significant problem: they’re a growing development agency with limited bandwidth and a lot of customer demand. If they can continue hiring more staff members to add support, that’ll be great. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear on your business development requirements and target customer profile. Many times, founders and companies leveraging a tool or platform like Bubble are early in their journey and still gathering data and insights about their customers and the problems they’re solving. Coming equipped before engaging will help you save time and money.

Nonetheless, don’t be afraid to put a product on the market, even if it’s not perfect or how you want it to be. The power of Bubble, no-code, and working with Rapid Dev is that they can work quickly. Sometimes, the faster you put the product on the market, the more insight and feedback you can get.

We’re working with Rapid Dev to build a software platform that’s designed to help early-stage entrepreneurs build integrated, strategic, operational, and financial plans. The platform is to enable them to be confident in the best path forward for them, whether that's investor funding, bootstrapping or some other type of funding.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided them with a scope document that detailed our vision for the platform. We hadn’t really detailed, but it gave them a better idea of what we were trying to achieve. We’re using Bubble to develop the platform.  

What is the team composition?

I worked with Matt (CEO) and Julia (Project Manager).

How much have you invested with them?

We spent less than $50,000.

How did you come to work with Rapid Dev?

They were recommended to me by a traditional dev shop. We knew that we had a small budget and wanted to move relatively quickly. When we talked to traditional dev shops, they said the project would cost $150,000, or it could take a year, which didn’t feel like a good fit for us. We asked that dev shop for recommendations, and that’s how we came across Rapid Dev.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around November 2022, and our engagement is ongoing. We have finished the initial development, but we’re still working with them as we iterate on the platform.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since we did not have a platform before, the impact of their work has been very big. We now have a functional MVP that we are now testing with users, which is super helpful. It’s been even a little more than we expected from an MVP, which we’re really pleased with.  Working with Rapid Dev has been really good.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

Since our scoping wasn’t as clear as it should have been, we did run over time and a bit over budget during development. However, they were very good about communicating and working with us to make sure that we were in agreement around the fact that it was going to take longer. They were super transparent about the ways we resolved sort of the overages on budget.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review? 

I’d like to shout out both Matt and Julia, along with the whole dev team who did a lot of hard work. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The fact that Matt, as the leader of the company, is very accessible and involved in the process was impressive. As soon as we had questions, Matt would hop on the call rather than saying it was just the project manager’s job.
 
With that being said, I also think Julia is amazing. She has done so much more than what other project managers would do. She is not just executing on tasks; she really dove in and understands the platform we’re building. When there were specific questions about the platform, she had almost as much expertise as we did on how it would impact the project. The team is so dedicated and involved in what we're trying to accomplish, not just focused on completing tasks.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Although I think they did a really good job, being a little clearer on the scope of the project would've helped us. They were really focused on making sure they could deliver for us, but if they had started the conversation about the growing scope a bit earlier, it could have helped them out, since they may have invested more in the project than they were expecting. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Assuming that the client feels Rapid Dev understands their project and they like the team, they should definitely work with Rapid Dev. Though they may not be the right choice for massive development projects, they’re really good for smaller projects and companies like ours that are trying to build an MVP or prototype. I’d say they’d be in good hands as long as they’re clear about what they need.

Very organized and have a "can do" attitude. If the team isn't sure about how to do something, they will do whatever they can to figure it out and communicate along the way. They are also very organized and I feel confident that they won't let anything slip through the cracks.

No - Rapid Dev did a good job at adapting based off of our feedback. In the beginning, we had some feedback that we felt could improve our experience working together and the team responded to that feedback so quickly. Since then, working with the team has been so smooth and productive.
