I’m the head of marketing in the company.

What business challenge were you trying to address with Promodo?

We had a SEO project with them and they also were managing our paid search in Google. Both those projects were quite successful.

Originally, the job was for organic SEO and when we saw that the results were good for that project, we also added more capital for paid search.

How did you come to work with Promodo?

We had a combination of criteria that we monitored and that included case studies from other clients. Some of the references that we got from their clients, along with other criteria we wanted, drove us to select Promodo. Initially I found them by searching Google and monitoring various references to the company.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

We are working on a monthly retainer. Annually the cost is around $10,000 to $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We have several projects with them. At the moment the work is ongoing. Parts of the project have been completed. We have to have ongoing work on our website to be better positioned in Google search.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

They improved the presence of our website in organic search and improved the traffic and leads we get from our organic search. All in all, we are happy with the results we received from Promodo and would recommend them. We took their advice on improvements and enhancements. Promodo has made recommendations to help us maintain our position over time ever since we improved our website and made it more appealing for potential visitors.

I don’t have specific metrics, but from what I remember, we grew our organic traffic and leads from organic search 200%.

They are quite competent and organized. They understood how to work with enterprise clients and smaller ones.

What distinguishes Promodo from other providers?

I want to add that they’re a great team to work with and they support us with all the requests we have. I would definitely recommend them to any other company, at least to a business similar to ours.

Is there anything Promodo could have improved or done differently?

No. Our interactions have been smooth. I can’t find anything negative about them.

We are a fantasy football company. We run a website called 4for4 Fantasy Football, and we're mostly a subscription-based site. We publish statistics and articles, and we have tools and tips available to our subscribers.

What business challenge were you trying to address with Promodo?

I just wanted someone to do an SEO [search engine optimization] analysis of the site. We were doing a website redesign and upgrade with another company that was also from Eastern Europe. I wanted someone to write a document of all the recommended changes and actions so we'd have a guide to look at as we're making decisions on the next project.

They did an audit. It was a three-part audit. The first part was analysis of redirects, advice for Google Webmaster tool setup, Google analytics tracking goals, and then recommendations on thank you pages or exit pages.

They gave us a 10-page PDF with many different suggestions for best practice practices as far as URL-based duplicate content, some things we were supposed to change in our HTAccess files. They gave us some examples. The document was good.

We usually don't receive documents that are as detailed and professional from our vendors, but Promodo stood out. It was professional with lots of screen shots specifically about things we should do and recommendations for setting up Google products.

The second part of the audit was looking at our current traffic and conversion rates, our current site performance, and browser vs. mobile vs. desktop. There was an analysis of our current traffic.

They then looked at our primary indicators so the number of index pages in Google, search engine credibility, and back links. They were giving an overview of what we have currently.

The third analysis was about page rank factors and accessibility of our site. We examined usability, and they had suggestions. Promodo also sent a large analysis of keywords that we weren't targeting and then other keywords that would be better to target.

How did you come to work with Promodo?

They were recommended by the web development company that I'm working with. I'm not sure if they have a long-standing relationship. The pricing was $1,000. Many other firms wanted a 12-month commitment with a minimum of "X" spend per month. I wasn't looking to jump in that deep at that point in time.

It was $1,000 total for the three-part audit.

What is the status of this engagement?

It was a one-time project that has ended. They did follow up to see if we needed anything else. We decided to hire a digital marketing person who knows many of the strategies that they were bringing to the table. I would definitely recommend them if someone needed the services they provide. They did a good job, and I was happy with the price for sure.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

It's been a continual process for the last three years of improvement. It's hard to say exactly what they directly contributed to. I know we took many of their suggestions on board when we were building out the new site, but we've also taken on suggestions from employees here and the developers that were building the site.

I think the data they provided was good. We've seen an increase in traffic. We had 4 million hits last month, which was the first time we've ever done that. I wasn't only working with these Promodo on SEO work, so it's hard to say that their exact contribution.

I know we are trending well in terms of traffic and just in all growth metrics. We're doing well. They were definitely a part of that. Our subscriber base is up 75 percent this year, which is strong. Our revenue is going to double this year, which is awesome.

Promodo was great. It was a small project, but they delivered more than expected.

What distinguishes Promodo from other providers?

My contact spoke very fluent English. Some companies abroad communicate perfectly and some of them cannot. It's definitely nice not to have a language problem. We did everything via email and Skype and that's definitely the way I prefer to work.

Is there anything Promodo could have improved or done differently?

Not really. I was happy with the results.

We are a small company with 20 to 30 employees, based in Hungary. We sell packaging containers online in the European Union with our web shop, works in 15 different languages.

I searched in Google. I also checked the SEO rankings on various top websites and blogs. I saw them a lot on the top sites. I also subscribed to their blog and webinars. I contacted only a few companies, and found them trustable so I asked for the cost of various approaches.

We spend between $1,000 and $2,000 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our engagement almost two years ago. It started with an onsite audit of our website, in the English language. Then, we continued with monthly activities: blog article writing, link building, and cooperation with other websites to earn more visitors.

We boosted our presence in Google for English searches in the U.K. We started from 100 to 150 visitors a day to getting now 500 to 600 visitors per day. I am satisfied with the results. We also have a bunch of tasks in our to-do list, tasks that Promodo found for our developers. Promodo works faster than we can solve the issues.

What distinguishes Promodo from other providers?

I don't really have a comparison, but their project management seems strong. I enjoy working with Promodo mostly because of their project management. They don't need to be pushed. They are conscientious and enthusiastic. It's easy to log in to their system to download the files and check reports.

In hindsight, are there areas in which they could improve, or things you might do differently?

Maybe a little bit more teaching and explanation could help us. I am the in-house SEO lead, so when they recommend something I would like to know why – deeply explained.

Our primary goal for hiring Promodo was to have them handle all the technical SEO aspects on the site we designed and then drive the brand's organic search traffic. Basically, we made the site look great and easy to use, and they made sure search engines could find it and rank it well.

Organic traffic is really taking off. Our client has seen a significant boost in visitors coming directly from search engines.

So, we've got some solid numbers that really show how well Promodo's work paid off for the project:

• More people are finding our client’s website through Google: We saw a big jump in organic traffic right in the first few months. That just means way more potential customers are landing on the site directly from search engines, which is awesome.
• Our client's website is stronger online: Promodo's link-building really boosted our website's Domain Authority score. Think of this as our site getting more "street cred" or "clout" with search engines, making it more trustworthy and likely to rank higher.

Honestly, their project management was really smooth. They were very organized and communicative throughout the whole process. We and our client got all the technical SEO implementations and reports exactly when they said we would. That really helped keep our overall project timeline on track, which is super important when you're coordinating design with SEO.

Whenever we had questions about technical aspects or needed to adjust something based on our design, they were quick to respond and implement changes.

They were really solid partners.
