I'm the president of SamaN, an interior wood stain and top coat manufacturer.

What challenge were you trying to address with ProMerit?

I purchased the company three years ago, and we were already doing business directly on Amazon. The company hired ProMerit to simplify and optimize the e-commerce channel.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

ProMerit provides us with e-commerce support; they set up and maintain our Amazon store, including our sales performance. The team created our Amazon store and handles all transactions, interactions with clients, and returns. The team also monitors other sellers to ensure we perform well with certain keywords.

ProMerit handles our delivery and order follow-ups and designs the content and images used in our Amazon store. A lot of Amazon content is moving from traditional photos to 3D rendering, and we were outdated on that front when I started working with ProMerit. The team has hired a designer who has redone all our listings to update our Amazon presence. Additionally, they invest a little bit in marketing services by advertising on Amazon.

What is the team composition?

On a strategic level, we work with one of ProMerit's owners. We also have a more operational contact who handles our delivery and order follow-ups. Additionally, ProMerit has an internal design team that creates the content from the listings. Overall, we usually interact with three teammates from ProMerit.

We've spent less than $10,000.

How did you come to work with ProMerit?

I purchased my company three years ago, and ProMerit was already collaborating with us.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since April 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our e-commerce channel has grown 25% every year. Regarding our online presence and the 3D renderings on Amazon, ProMerit didn't wait for us to ask; they created all the 3D renderings of our products and put them online to ensure our online presence is efficient and generates the positive results we're looking for. We're really appreciative of their proactiveness. Overall, they've been a turnkey solution for handling all our Amazon sales, so there's been very little involvement on our side.

How did ProMerit perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management has been consistent — it's simple but efficient. The teammates we've been working with have been tracking the project and sharing monthly KPIs. Although their management is simple, without anything over the top in terms of gadgets and tools, the team is very straightforward. They share a dashboard every month and have followed through with every project and initiative.

We get monthly email updates and hold quarterly Zoom or Microsoft Teams meetings to align with ProMerit.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Jonathan (Co-Founder & VP of Business Development) has done a great job

What did you find most impressive about them?

ProMerit's proximity and flexibility set them apart. The team is very customer-focused.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be a step more aware of the market and help flag what's performing well on Amazon. This could provide us with opportunities based on ProMerit's deep knowledge of how Amazon operates.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Don't be shy to ask for what you need and say what you want. ProMerit has been pretty flexible in adjusting, so you should express what you need and don't wait.

I looked on the internet and found them. I also interviewed other companies, but I felt that ProMerit was the best fit for our needs.

We don't pay them anything directly. We simply sell our products to them so they can resell them on Amazon.
