Perpetual will research and design the user experience for our two-sided mobile marketplace. The app is intended to let clients request or schedule services at their location, while giving service providers tools to receive bookings, manage availability, track business performance, and access training. The proposal covers UX/UI research, product definition, interface design, validation, and a development handoff. It does not include building the app. 

Key deliverables include: Research findings: Stakeholder and user interview insights, survey results, a review of existing designs and feedback, and competitive analysis. 

Product definition: User personas, journey maps, user flows, a sitemap, information architecture, and prioritized requirements and recommendations. 
App designs: Low fidelity wireframes, a visual style guide and design system, and detailed interface designs for prioritized client and service provider workflows. 

Validated prototype: A clickable Figma prototype refined through stakeholder feedback and user testing. Development handoff: Inspectable Figma files, exportable assets, specifications for colors, typography, icons and spacing, plus development guidance where needed. The proposed engagement is 240 hours over six weeks, with designs delivered iteratively.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The key outcome is a validated, development ready app design that moved us from concept to a clear plan for the build. 

Success is measured by completion of the prioritized product requirements, user flows, design system, and clickable prototype for both the client and service provider experiences. The final Figma files and specifications gave the development team will define a starting point for implementation.

What impressed us most was how quickly Perpetual has turned our feedback into thoughtful, practical designs. 

The team listened closely to our needs, asked the right questions, and has kept the project moving on schedule. Their responsiveness made the process feel collaborative and gave us confidence that the final designs reflected what we are trying to build.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Perpetual could have done differently?

The experience was excellent overall. One small thing that could make an already smooth process even easier would be sharing a few visual examples of the materials they need from clients before kickoff. That would help clients come prepared and let the team get moving even faster.

We needed help with web design and development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Perpetual was heavily involved in the procurement phase of the project, helping us acquire the software we needed. The team helped us migrate our website from a different hosting software and created a demo site to help us get the sign-off for Webflow. We had a scoping session, and Perpetual went through the design and feedback with some of our clients and internal stakeholders. The team used Figma for the design and Webflow for the development.

We had brand guidelines, and I had an existing site that I needed to replicate. We had a limited amount of design that could be done, but we were open to suggestions. We requested a couple of mandatory features, including incorporating our single sign-on and embedding dashboards within the site. We also requested a design and UX that helped users navigate the site and interpret the data.

We worked with 2–3 web designers, 3–4 technical teammates, and Amish and Vishal to support project and account management.

Webflow recommended Perpetual to us. We met the team, and they were very knowledgeable about our company.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We received positive feedback from our customers regarding the login experience, and we had a follow-up piece with Perpetual to look into our single sign-on. Overall, Perpetual met our expectations.

How did Perpetual perform from a project management standpoint?

We had two website builds on the same SOW, and the project I was looking after didn’t get as much attention as it needed because the other project was more demanding. 

We communicated via virtual meetings and Microsoft Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Perpetual’s knowledge of Webflow, design ideas, and flexibility were impressive. The team was great to work with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Perpetual could have improved their project management. A critical piece of the build had to be delayed until after go-live. Some of the blame for the delay is on us because our internal processes are lengthy, but the communication with us about this issue wasn't direct enough.

Keep track of the budget and design and development hours to ensure you’re prioritizing the right things.

I’m the founder of OBG Access, a consulting company that helps medical device companies with their commercial plans in terms of bringing their products and medical devices to the market.

What challenge were you trying to address with Perpetual?

I wanted to build an online platform for my consulting clients to help them bring their medical devices to the US market.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Perpetual developed and designed our platform. The discovery phase involved understanding our business and what we wanted to achieve with the online form. We gave Perpetual's team ideas about what we wanted to develop, including a data set on US hospitals to show the highest birthing facilities in the US. We wanted to map out and build a platform that companies could use to identify which facilities to target. We also wanted to build an internal pipeline management system and a resources section where I could add educational content.

Perpetual gave feedback on how feasible some of those features would be to develop and what platforms they could use to develop the software. We narrowed down the three key features we needed. Perpetual set up user interviews with people who might use the platform to gather feedback on what features would be beneficial and what users might be looking for. Based on the feedback, we narrowed down the scope of the project before they started building it.

Perpetual designed and developed the platform using Softr, a low-code platform. They worked based on the initial discovery meetings and user interviews. They brought the datasets I had put together, including the hospital-level data, into Softr. They built all the features depending on what was possible within the Softr platform.

The platform had a US hospital directory, a directory of 100 hospitals within the US market listed by birthing volume. Users could click on the hospital, and it would pull out additional information about the key clinicians within that department and some of the key metrics related to that hospital. The directory also had a Google Maps feature at the bottom, so users could map out where those hospitals were located.

The second key feature was the pipeline tracker, where users could select hospitals and bring them into this pipeline, like a CRM tool. They could track all their activities and engagements with those specific hospitals. The third feature was the US conferences section, which mapped out and put in all the details of the US conferences a user might want to consider attending.

There was also a resources section where we could upload videos, documents, and educational tools. Additionally, there was a sales and distribution database where we populated potential sales and distribution partners that some of the platform users might want to consider bringing on to the team.

I worked with two teammates from Perpetual. One was the developer who did all the implementation and built the platform. The other teammate led the whole process and managed the project.

How did you come to work with Perpetual?

We searched ChatGPT to get suggestions of potential companies to help us. We were looking for companies that could help us build the platform. I'm in the UK but spend a lot of time in New York, so we focused on companies in New York that I could work with over the summer period. I spoke to 4–5 different companies to get a sense of their experience and how much the whole process might cost.

We met with the Perpetual team and had a really good feeling about them. We thought they'd be good to work with and were very experienced, so we chose them.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent around $20,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in August 2025, and the project was completed in November 2025. I plan to reach out to them for maintenance work based on the feedback I get from users.

Perpetual did a really good job building all the features we intended to build. The platform touched on all the key points for potential users. The team implemented changes and adjustments promptly and tweaked everything necessary throughout the project. Perpetual's work exceeded our expectations.

How did Perpetual perform from a project management standpoint?

Perpetual was very well organized in how they handled the project. They were very detailed in the user interviews, project timelines, and details behind the project. It was always clear to me what stage we were at.

Perpetual met deadlines and stayed on budget. We communicated via Google Meet, Slack, email, and in-person meetings. We also used Google Drive for documents.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Perpetual mapped out the project thoroughly, broke the schedule into relevant stages, and adhered to that timeline. The team took on any feedback from the users or me and implemented those changes very quickly.

They were very efficient and made all the necessary tweaks as we worked through the project. The user interviews they performed were very thorough. They documented and analyzed the data and user interviews to build the design for the features. The finished product looked very professional and well-made.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were a couple of small things that were limitations of the Softr platform. There were certain small things we couldn’t do, but that was a limitation of the software platform rather than Perpetual.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a clear idea of what you’re trying to develop. Have a good idea of the potential users you want to interview and find 5–10 people whom the team can interview. Perpetual has an excellent, impressive interview process, and it’s a valuable exercise to get a lot of information that benefits you as the user of the platform and benefits the developers in terms of how to design it.

Perpetual is very knowledgeable and experienced in building platforms. Use their guidance to determine the best software and platform to build whatever you’re trying to build.

Perpetual has helped us design and implement a website for one of our clients. We’ve come to them with a well-baked idea and design, so they haven’t been involved in much research; they’ve been more of a development partner.

For the first phase of the project, we’ve worked on the design implementation and coding. We’ve used Figma to collaborate on the design, and Perpetual has figured out how to code and implement it. 

Now, we’re moving on to the second phase, which is the frontend development. Perpetual will use Angular to build the website. Although we’ve already created the wireframes and basic design, we’ve run into a few design issues regarding user interaction. Perpetual has given us a few ideas on how to solve them, so it’s been a collaborative effort.

We’ve worked with two teammates from Perpetual, including Amish. They’ve been our main points of contact.

How did you come to work with Perpetual?

We found them in a database for similar services we were looking for. We chose them because they had done work in similar spaces to ours. Moreover, they were based in New York, which was great because the website was specifically designed for the New York health market.

We reviewed their website and previous work, which appeared to align with our needs at the time. Their work looked great, and we initially met with Amish. We felt really good about partnering with them based on some of the things he said.

The engagement started in March 2025, and it’s ongoing.

We utilized some offshore resources, while they were very accommodating, we could improve on communcations. However, I noticed there was already an improvement in communications over the year.

Perpetual was engaged by FairWorx / BWHI to build AI-driven tool that de-risks corporate language, policies, procedures, and public-facing media for bias as it relates to race, ethnicity, gender, gender-identify, age, and ability. 

Application delivery will include a functioning application running on a test server with
planned pages and functionality securely accessible for testing via a web browser.
Development delivery will include source code on Github or similar version control tools.
The application will be hosted on cloud based infrastructure, and a configured
functioning application on this cloud based environment is also to be included as part of
the deliverables.
Setup and integration of selected 3rd party tools will also be conducted in the course of
this phase of the project.
Design acceptance and QA of the features will be conducted during each sprint by the
Perpetual UX/Design and QA team. Builds will be shared with the Fairworx team for User
Acceptance Testing at the end of every sprint.

We needed help with design explorations and prototypes.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Perpetual helped me set up a Notion workspace where we collaborated with the team. I provided them with the requirements, and they clarified the specifications for the product experience I was seeking and the hypothesis I had. The team did early wireframing and three different kinds of explorations to zoom in on what might resonate with the product I was trying to build.

After that, I took their feedback and explorations. Perpetual helped me find the right users and set up the usability study. I ran the user research study myself. I recruited my target customers and spoke to the users myself, but Perpetual guided me on the user research study itself. Based on the feedback, they gave me designs. I used those designs to do my user research study and take the product forward.

How did you come to work with Perpetual?

I was searching for freelancers online, but many of them turned out to be of low quality and unreliable. I interviewed several design and service providers. A friend who had worked with Perpetual before referred them to me. Perpetual’s team was very responsive in my first introductory call. The way they presented their work at the beginning of the call made me feel like they would understand the kind of product I was looking for. The people there seemed pretty talented.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Perpetual helped me save a lot of money and time overall. The designs they provided helped me validate the thesis. We understood how difficult it would be to get the desired option. The designs also helped me get the right conversations going with a few VCs, which was directionally very important for me. Perpetual helped me pivot in the right direction for the product. I haven’t launched yet, but the team worked efficiently and quickly.

How did Perpetual perform from a project management standpoint?

Perpetual delivered on time and within budget. They identified opportunities to reduce the cost. We used Slack, Notion, and Figma for collaboration and communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Perpetual was very good at balancing professionalism and collaboration in a friendly atmosphere. They were also responsive, and their communication was crisp and clear. I also appreciated how hands-on their CEO was.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish I had more money to access more services at a lower cost. I understand the cost overall, but it was worth it. I also wish they were in my time zone. They discussed assigning me a local teammate, but that was also mitigated.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be responsive to them. Perpetual is proactive and will engage with you and adapt to your tools. When they had questions or calls for me to engage, I was slow to respond. Engaging with them in a timely manner would make you more successful.

I’m a founding team member of an online marketplace. I focus on the data and engineering aspects of the business.

What challenge were you trying to address with Perpetual?

We needed help with website design and development. Our goal was to have an online presence and a member-facing portal. We had nothing, and we needed a partner to help us build the V0 of our member-facing marketplace application.

We had worked with a design firm before, and they did some initial things. However, the work wasn’t in the direction we wanted to go, which prompted the need to use a different company.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Perpetual has helped us with ideas and brainstorming. For instance, we’ve spent an entire day with the team discussing our business and conducting user interviews to improve our website design. 

We initially provided Perpetual with background on our company and our thoughts. Once we gave the team some background and initial designs, they built a quick proof of the overall design in Figma and worked with us to provide feedback. Perpetual has also done research around best practices from a design and app perspective. The team has been able to stand-up an MVP of the same app in a low-code tool so that we can get the feel for it.

We’ve built the V0 of the app, and there has been a significant change in how we want our member-facing product to be. We’ve quickly gone from the V0 to re-architecting the V1 with Perpetual. Additionally, the team has helped with user interviews and user testing. Perpetual has found some users online and walked them through the app. We’ve found some confusing parts, and that has made us redesign the V1.

Our current stack is Xano in the backend, and WeWeb is our frontend. We’ve started with Xano, Webflow, and a product called Wiz. After working with those tools and topping out their capabilities, the team helped us determine that we need to change our stack to Xano and WeWeb. 

What is the team composition?

Initially, the team was a bit heavier because we were going from zero to one. We’ve worked with an engineer-design hybrid role, which has been useful. We’ve also worked with two design teammates. The total FTEs have been around two, but we’ve split that time between some designers and the hybrid engineer-designer.

How did you come to work with Perpetual?

We found them through a Google search that led us to Clutch. We interviewed two other companies, and Perpetual felt the most pragmatic and well-thought-out. The team didn’t gloss over details and had a clear plan in mind. They were also the quickest to provide value and were based in New York, where we planned to have our headquarters.

We’ve spent between $200,000–$500,000.

We started working together in July 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.

We didn’t have a member-facing portal before. We’ve gone from zero to having many more eligible members working with our website. The quality of their work meets our expectations.

How did Perpetual perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver the work on time and on budget. We collaborate and manage our work using a combination of Slack, Figma, and Notion. We also use Google Meet a couple of times a week.

The workflow is that we build out a knowledge base and backlog in Notion. Those things get prioritized and built in Figma, where we have back-and-forth on some of the designs. Those things slowly get built out and moved to development and production as we prioritize our major features.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to have many high-functioning people who can do it all has been impressive. As the complexity of our project has grown, Perpetual has had more opportunities to bring on people who can help with that complexity. The team has the right people in the right spots and has shifted around.

If we need more design help, Perpetual can easily bring on a senior designer. If we need more engineering help, they can bring a senior engineer.

Are there any areas they could improve?

As our offering has matured, we’ve gone from having an MVP with some rough edges to iterating. The ability to take us from a V4 to a V5 has stretched their capabilities more. We’ve had to look elsewhere for very senior design help.

Treat them like a partner and be very clear about what you need. Perpetual has the right people in place to help you out; you just need to be clear about what you need and view it as a partnership.
