We decided to upgrade our entire technology stack and develop a new Android mobile app to provide even greater value to our clients. To complement our internal team's capabilities, we chose to partner with Peerbits as an offshore company to help us realize our vision.
We began our collaboration with a UI/UX designer who supported the initial app mockups. Upon completing that phase, we started working with a dedicated remote developer who integrates seamlessly with our team.
Additionally, Peerbits provides a project manager and conducts quality assurance tests before our own validations.

client over the phone. Below is an edited

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an IT manager at Hunter Express Ltd; we’re a transportation and logistics company. We have a fleet of 2,000 trailers and 500 trucks and provide transportation services to the automotive industry from Canada to Mexico.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Peerbits?
We wanted to create a mobile application to collect information from dispatchers, drivers, and our back office. Our team was making too many phone calls and we wanted to streamline the communication process and increase efficiency. Initially, we tried to build the application internally, but we didn’t have the necessary technical skills so we engaged Peerbits.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Peerbits has provided us with software development services for our mobile application. First, we met with their sales team and project manager to communicate our goals. The Peerbits team gathered the requirements and documented the features we wanted to include. Then, they reviewed the requirements internally and returned to us to confirm the budget.
After meeting with the team and learning more about their services, we chose to utilize their dedicated developer model. Peerbits organized a two-week developer trial where we ensured that our dedicated developer had the necessary skills to fulfill our requirements. We built a strong relationship with our developer in the first week; they understood our technical requirements and confidently executed tasks.
Our dedicated developer has custom-built a React Native mobile application for iOS and Android, which we’ve been live-testing. Aside from building the mobile application, Peerbits has also helped us develop a web application using AngularJS.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with about seven team members from Peerbits, including, Kunal (Business Development Manager), Faizan (.NET Developer), and Amit (DevOps Engineer). We’ve also worked with a React Native developer, Project Manager, Customer Success Manager, and two other developers.
How did you come to work with Peerbits?
We put out a note on LinkedIn and Peerbits contacted us and said they could help with the project. Then, we had an introductory meeting and moved forward with the project.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested about $18,000 in the partnership with Peerbits.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Peerbits in January 2022 and the partnership is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Peerbits has delivered great quality work, and we’ve been particularly pleased with their quick turnaround time. They delivered our first screen design within just one week of receiving the requirements.
How did Peerbits perform from a project management standpoint?
We’ve been pleased with Peerbits’ reasonable pricing, quality of work, and clear communication. We’ve used an agile approach to development, and the team has consistently accomplished tasks on time. The team has emailed us daily progress reports, and we’ve used Skype to communicate and GitHub to manage tasks.
Midway through the project, our developer moved on to another role. Peerbits managed the knowledge transfer very well; our new developer was brought up to speed within a few days.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’ve been most impressed with Peerbits’ level of professionalism and expertise.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Since we speak the same language, this hasn’t been an issue, but I'd recommend that they improve their level of English communication.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’d advise you to engage Peerbits for your software development needs.

Peerbits provides web and mobile application development for both iOS and Android, using HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS as well as blockchain and security elements. They work on the UI/UX too.
The ongoing collaboration has provided some excellent results so far, with the team's apps receiving positive feedback from clients. They communicate well and manage the projects smoothly, particularly in terms of providing regular updates and maintaining good client relations.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I run an IT company with clients from the Asian region.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Peerbits?
We’re using Peerbits for support on app development projects. It was difficult to find app developers in our region at the time, so we started looking online and found them.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I didn’t know what proposal to make to our end-client, so I checked with their salesperson, who provided a detailed scope, including UI/UX design. They’ve also monitored the project for us.
They've developed 2–3 apps for us so far, including an e-shop and a medical appointment app, which were made for iOS, Android, and the web. The web app uses HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS. The apps feature security and blockchain elements.
For the medical app, Peerbits assigned a doctor with experience in these kinds of projects, who acted as project manager and provided assistance.
How did you come to work with Peerbits?
I found them on Clutch and chose them because their website was informative and attractive, plus they responded quickly.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost of their work has been around $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in April 2018 and we have two ongoing projects.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I've received excellent feedback for their work. Shahid (Co-Founder and Director, Peerbits) is very nice; he came to our location to meet us. They’ve given us very informative things on how we should do business together, based on our local and offshore market. Peerbits will be our long-term partner.
How did Peerbits perform from a project management standpoint?
They have project management tools in place and we have update calls twice a week. They’ve always been on time. Their services are very good and they’re able to meet our schedules.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I personally like Shahid; he’s a nice person. We share the market with each other and we have updates every week, which is something many other vendors don't provide.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could’ve performed better on some blockchain projects. Peerbits is a good team, but investing in more blockchain developers would make them even better.

Peerbits built a mobile app for iOS and Android as a third-party developer. Features include SMS messaging and map navigation. The team has done bug fixes and testing, and will provide post-launch support.
They delivered a functional solution in an expedited timeline. The team is responsive and manages expectations in an effective manner. Clear communication and efficient development help create value for cost.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the general manager of a system integration and software development company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Peerbits?
We needed development services for a third-party mobile application.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our client is attempting to compete with major ridesharing apps. I wrote the system requirements and specifications in accordance with the client’s expressed preferences. This app has an administrative interface, offline booking via SMS, and shows drivers the users’ intended destination. The client’s team and ours then met Peerbits in person to explain our objectives. Currently, Peerbits is developing the app for iOS and Android, and plans to maintain it post-launch.
What is the team composition?
They assigned us a dedicated team of about nine people. Prior to that arrangement, we had worked with about three iOS developers, four Android developers, one PHP developer, one UX/UI designer, and a project manager.
How did you come to work with Peerbits?
I worked with Peerbits about three years ago on another app. Their performance made me confident in re-engaging them. Also, the team had recently built a taxi app with similar features to my client’s ridesharing tool. After speaking with the co-founder, we traveled to the Philippines for a presentation and landed the project.
How much have you invested with them?
The client has spent close to $1 million. Development cost about $400,000. The client is now paying $22,000 per month for the dedicated team.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Peerbits in January 2018 and the partnership is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app is still a work in progress after the client’s soft launch. There wasn’t much preparation done on the client’s side; most of the work was done by me and Peerbits. It could’ve gone better; they could’ve made a closed beta, but they didn’t. Instead, they made an open launch, and, just like any application, ours had bugs that were later resolved.
We haven’t seen any success stories yet, except for the fact that Peerbits expedited years of the client’s work in four and a half months. Successful transactions show the app works for Android. But we’ll only know what’s wrong when people start telling us that the app doesn’t work for a particular model. So far, we haven’t experienced this problem.
On the operations side, the client has found it difficult to find drivers. Doing this is crucial for an application like ours. When an end-client tests a particular app, they won’t keep it if they cannot book a ride because there are no drivers available. But this is more of an operational problem than an application one.
How did Peerbits perform from a project management standpoint?
The project lead is responsive and on top of his game. The client enjoys his approach to fielding queries and managing expectations. We have daily 15-20-minute standups that prioritize pressing issues at the top of each meeting. In addition to daily communication via Skype and WhatsApp, we use Peerbit’s internal project management platform. However, the client wasn’t used to this tool and has found the system cumbersome.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Due to the client’s tight timeline, I wasn’t expecting anything beyond a basic app, but Peerbits integrated components that could’ve for a later stage. That efficiency in development distinguished the team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Peerbits should feel comfortable telling clients not to rush development. Most clients don’t understand that development processes can’t be expedited by just adding more resources. The team tries their best and should learn to stand their ground. If it can’t be done, it can’t be done.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I advise potential clients to try Peerbits out. Whether it’s a simple or a complex project, they provide clear documentation and presentations. Clients will appreciate knowing what to expect before signing a contract.

Peerbits created a web portal which functions as a financial trading simulation tool for a recruiting startup. In addition to building a custom CMS, they also provided design work.
Through constant feedback and cooperation, Peerbits crafted a professional site ready to compete against established trading rivals. Startup-friendly costs make them a reliable partner, and they go above and beyond to meet any expedited deadlines.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a startup called TraderDock, a recruitment portal for new financial traders.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Peerbits?
Upon launch, our business will rely on an online trading simulation that assesses users against our profit targets and risk promoters. If they have the skillset, users will be matched and funded for live trading. I reached out to Peerbits to develop our website and ensure the API-related trading software feeds into a dashboard where users can easily track their performance.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
First, they provided a project manager to help outline the project. They then went through an analysis stage with their HTML designers, API developers, and graphic design team to come up with a wireframe solution, which they sent to me for feedback.
After finalizing the outline, they developed the API backend and integrated the HTML design into our Amazon servers. They also configured a custom CMS.
We paid special attention to user experience, adding graphics to enhance the interface, and they provided marketing input in terms of logo design.
What is the team composition?
My first project manager was replaced midway through the project, but it was a seamless process, with everything passed over smoothly. These project leads communicated my scope requirements to their development team and designers.
How did you come to work with Peerbits?
As a startup, my biggest concern was cost, but I also wanted a vendor that was easily available during my working day and proficient in English. I considered a number of offshore companies around the world, but Peerbits gave me the most confidence. After looking at their portfolio and testimonials, I felt they would go the extra mile to create my product within my timeframe.
I also found that their project manager and sales representative had excellent communication skills, which put me at ease.
How much have you invested with them?
About €10,000 [$13,378 USD].
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2017 and the product was just given to me for final review. I've already asked them for a maintenance contract quote.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I don’t have any metrics available since the product hasn’t launched, but they completed the project within the timeframe and my investors are impressed with the end result. There have been minor bugs, as is expected with any development process, but they’ve been responsive to feedback and quickly corrected any issues.
Through effective communication, we were able to create a professional website that gives us the confidence to take on our competitors.
How did Peerbits perform from a project management standpoint?
We have an excellent project manager. He provides regular updates and is always available, responding promptly to any questions.
They provided me with a login for Teamwork, which we use to keep track of the project, as well as messaging. The project manager is also available through Skype.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I expected certain stages of the project to be completed very quickly so that I could give presentations to my investors. Peerbits respected those requests and worked extra hard to meet strict deadlines, which is not something you can always expect from developers, in my experience. My project manager had an impressive ability to rally his team if I needed something done quickly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
While they’re strong in all aspects, their graphic design side has some room for improvement.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Speak to a number of vendors and find one you’re really able to communicate with. I’ve had a very positive experience because I took time to find the right partner.

Peerbits designed and developed an app for Android that allows users to give real-time feedback on events and venues. The team also built an accompanying landing page and helped with icon design.
Peerbits’ communication and technical expertise were impressive. They provided timely and detailed updates, which helped alleviate concerns over unexpected technical obstacles. While their initial timeline estimate was off, the team’s responsiveness led to a successful launch.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the founder and CEO of Pop’n Or Not?, a social media app which is designed to give users real-time information about events and venues.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Peerbits?
Our goal was to create an app that not just lists events and venues but provides real-time information about them. The app should also allow users at those events to rate the experiences and display the ratings to others on the app.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
There was back-and-forth involved in getting from the beginning to where we are now. The process involved me outlining what I wanted to see within the application and how it would work. Peerbits provided technical options for doing it the best way possible.
Peerbits created our app from scratch, but we did use APIs from other platforms in order to curate the information. They developed the app in its entirety as well as the accompanying landing page and the backend admin area. They also provided icon design.
The app was made only for iOS, for starters. After we launch, we will start work on the Android version. Peerbits walked me through the submission process, making some changes before we were approved. I handled all marketing and strategy aspects myself.
What is the team dynamic?
I interacted with a project manager. Over the course of the collaboration, there were three project managers assigned to me. I also interacted with the technical people in charge of coding when there was a need for me to provide some direct feedback.
How did you come to work with Peerbits?
I was referred to them by a co-worker who was also involved with mobile app development. I am not sure if he’d actually done work with Peerbits or not. I reached out, got a quote, and liked the initial dialogue. Peerbits was familiar with what I was trying to do. They were competent, and I liked the price.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost of this particular project was around $11,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Peerbits around February 2017. The iOS version was completed in the beginning of August, so we’re done until I start development on the Android version.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re still working with marketing for the launch. Except for the few beta testers who’ve tried it, I don’t have stats or user feedback.
How did Peerbits perform from a project management standpoint?
They definitely stuck to the budget, even when the project extended past what we initially anticipated. The timeline was originally quoted as being three months, but it took fairly longer than that. I didn’t change the scope, but in Peerbits’ defense, we ran into hurdles that neither of us anticipated. The obstacles were related to integrating with other platforms. I don’t hold them fully responsible, but the project did take longer.
We had communication for the entire time, and there were no moments when I wondered what they were doing. There was always good back-and-forth dialogue throughout. Most of the communication was done either via email or using Teamwork. There were constant updates about how much time was being spent on the project, what was being worked on, and who was working on it. We had several conference calls as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The communication was always there, and they always kept me up-to-speed about the status of the project. Peerbits was receptive to my concerns and gave excellent suggestions for overcoming any challenge. They were responsive, and I didn’t have any complaints.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I could nitpick, but, overall, I would say no. Peerbits was solid.

After receiving designs, user stories, and wireframes, Peerbits developed and launched an iOS mobile application. Now, they are working on an Android version.
The iOS application has received positive feedback regarding its look and functionality. Peerbits is great at communicating and project management, allowing for a successful partnership. They also stuck to deadlines and cost-estimates, leading to a great value of service.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
My business is RoadCash, a brand new startup for injured workers that are receiving workers compensation benefits. There are a bunch of apps doing IRS tax deductions, but no one is doing medical reimbursement. We take the distance when someone goes to doctor's appointments, then we calculate that by the mileage rate, and then submit the reimbursement. We are taking everything that's paper and manual labor and we're making that digital now. I'm the founder of the company and I have a partner who invested with me.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Peerbits?
Initially, we had a few hundred thousand dollars for development. I spoke to a lot of companies before Peerbits. I wanted to keep it in the United States, preferably New York City where I am located, but I was willing to go to companies in California. We started working with the company Appster and then we moved on to Fueled, which is a huge company in New York City, and then we looked at moving to Fuzz. What I got out of these US development agencies is that they'll never give you a price quote. They're not bad, but they're really expensive.
I know what we needed; I'm pretty tech savvy. I don't know how to code, but I didn't think that it was that hard of an app to develop. I started searching around some more after we had the designs done. We had all the user stories done, which makes communication a lot easier since the whole idea is laid out. We also had the initial design. Peerbits needed to develop on top of those designs and use the same design structure.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
When I went to Peerbits, I told them we had all of the user stories and the wireframes. Then, I told them our budget; I wasn't looking to spend over $10,000. They came back to me with a price quote, how much I was to pay upfront, and information on different payment installments.
At first, I really wasn't sure what to expect. It was kind of a last-ditch effort to not pay a few hundred grand to get it done. After a month, I received demo one. Everything looked great and everything functioned properly. The biggest negative factor, I would say, is it takes a lot more work to make a change to what you already had because you have to really spell it out for them. You have to go over the grammar. It is a lot more work than working with a US agency.
They did complete 100% of the development and met all of the milestones. The app is in the iTunes store now. We still need to update some small features. They never up-charged me for anything I needed to change. If they did something wrong, they'd fix it the next day.
They have to use the shortest distance through Google Maps, and then they calculate that by mileage reimbursement. They used the Google Maps API in the app because you have to use the shortest distance through Google Maps to calculate the mileage reimbursement. And we have geolocator; whenever you are at a doctor's appointment, there's a GeoReminder. They'll send you notifications, which is something I had them build for me. There is also an attorney questionnaire and other small functionalities.
They've done everything for me. I write the app description, and then they upload the app to the Apple store and make any changes needed during that process. We developed the iOS version first and we're developing the Android version now. We already had the wireframes for the iOS app, so I wanted to see how they did on that. They did a really good job, so now we're doing the Android app, which should be released within a month from now.
How did you come to work with Peerbits?
I found the ratings on Clutch and that was a big decision-maker in why I hired Peerbits because they have previous reviews on Clutch and other review websites. I went to check out their website. I contacted about 5 to 10 agencies overseas and Peerbits got back to me really fast. I decided to go with Peerbits and to roll out the development. They gave me a great price quote. Fueled and Fuzz and all of the US agencies were quoting me about $ 400,000for what I got done with Peerbits for less than $10,000.
How much have you invested with them?
Originally, they quoted me less than $10,000. I did make one change, so it probably comes out to close to $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in April 2017 and the work is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
There are no statistics right now. We just released the iOS version and I will not be doing any marketing until the Android version is released.
I have shown the app to a lot of my friends. All of my friends say the design looks great and the functionality is great. Everyone likes the app and they say it's very modern and updated. I had my friend download the second demo, the Android version, and everyone she showed it to said it's really good.
The only negative is the address function. They're in India, so it works well there, but it's not exactly how I want it to be. Ultimately, it could be a little easier to input the address; they had some trouble implementing that. Otherwise, everyone says the design looks good and everything works perfectly.
How did Peerbits perform from a project management standpoint?
They're really good at project management. They email me every day. They use Teamwork, which is where they log all of their time. I can see exactly what they're working on and where they're at in the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The best thing is that I was going to spend over $200,000. I ended up getting exactly what I asked for, for one-twentieth of the cost. That's the best thing. Overall they've been a really good company. There is nothing negative. The best thing is their pricing.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I'm doing a lot of the quality assurance. When I worked US developers, that was not the case. And I didn’t have much feedback, but I did run quality assurance.

Peerbits designed and developed a cloud-based loyalty management platform, designed for iOS, Android, and wearable devices. The project includes the mobile applications, marketing website, and admin panel.
Assigned resources produced a working MVP within an aggressive time frame and made revisions quickly, all while working with limited funds. This sense of urgency sets them apart from the competition and makes Peerbits Solutions a great partner for startups.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of Loyal1, which is a loyalty management platform for small businesses.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Peerbits Solutions?
It was basically creating a backend that applies a certain algorithmic function to loyalty transactions. My background is in development, but I’m more of an IT strategy consultant. I worked for consulting companies for over ten years. I was looking to develop a cloud-based solution that runs on mobile phones and can be used by small businesses without needing to integrate with any point-of-sale systems.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
When I went to Peerbits initially, I didn’t have much of a budget. I needed to create an app that I could use to raise funds. The initial phase of the app just digitizes loyalty cards so that people don’t need to carry the cards themselves when they go to the shop. They can just display the smartphone at the point of sale. We launched that, and I managed to raise funds for the second phase, which I’ll be offering for small businesses.
Peerbits handles both the design and development aspects for the application. It’s on Android and iOS, and also works on iWatch and Android Wear. Peerbits has also developed a marketing website and an admin panel. They’re doing everything. I’ve got people locally who are doing activations and search engine optimization for me.
How did you come to work with Peerbits Solutions?
I started looking for developers on Upwork. Initially, it was too expensive for me to develop in South Africa. Through Upwork, I Peerbits’ profile. I googled them, visited their website, and contacted them directly. I’ve managed teams in the same area they’re based through a company I worked for as a technical lead. In that role, I had been looking after a team of developers based in India, so I was comfortable to go that route.
How much have you invested with Peerbits Solutions?
So far, the cost has been just under $40,000. We’re looking at probably $50,000–$80,000 in the next 12 months.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began the project in August of 2016, and the relationship is ongoing. We’re developing the system in stages, and we still have another 12–18 months before we can be really finished.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
Peerbits agreed to take me on, even though I needed a lot of functionality for a very small budget. Now, we are a business that’s launching in about two weeks, and customers are going to be paying us for a change. We’ve been meeting our targets so far, and I’ve been very happy with the quality of work. The way the app looks and operates is great, and our users like it. They’ve met all key metrics and expectations for the development work.
How did Peerbits Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve been very good. We use Teamwork as our project management software, and we have meetings and sessions at least every two days. They’re always available to take calls and for changes. I’ve been very happy with the system they use for managing the project because it’s actually integrated with my email.
What did you find most impressive about Peerbits Solutions?
They have a sense of urgency and an ability to get things together in a short period of time, so I am able to meet my deadlines. I’ve been bootstrapping this whole exercise. When investors needed something changed, I had to move fast to get something I could demo to them. Peerbits has been very good at getting the relevant skills on board in a short period of time, giving me functionality that wasn’t initially part of the scope but was going to secure funding.
Are there any areas Peerbits Solutions could improve?
The only thing I can think of is a few grammatical errors in messages and prompts here and there, as English is not their native language. It hasn’t been an issue in communicating with them. It’s just something that cropped up once in a blue moon in code, and it’s easy to fix. It’s never been an issue for me.

Peerbits developed an iOS application, including graphical user interface designs, from an initial concept and design. They continue to work on minor bug fixes.
The deliverables provided by Peerbits perform well and the user interface is top of the line. While there were a few minor project management concerns, Peerbits' communication was good throughout the engagement..
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a company called Leazzer.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Peerbits?
I worked with Peerbits to develop an iOS app for my business.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I conceived the idea for the app, came up with the design and testing of it, and gave that information to Peerbits. Peerbits designed the graphical user interface and did all of the development. The app allows users to build an income by renting out household items that are sitting around their home and garage. The items could be furniture, lawnmowers, canoes, bicycles, power tools, etc. To their credit, Peerbits did pretty well with the project.
How did you come to work with Peerbits?
I interviewed a couple of companies, but I liked Peerbits the best, so I hired them. They also were recommended to me. Peerbits was fairly aggressive in their pitch; they looked hungry for the work. The work I had seen them do previously was pretty good as well.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in August 2016, and the project went live in January. We’re doing bug fixes, so we still work together on and off.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
The app’s overall performance has been great.
How did Peerbits perform from a project management standpoint?
I had a few project management issues when working with Peerbits, but I expected that, so it was OK. There are going to be problems and limitations when working with any offshore team. Communication was not an issue. We did set deadlines, but I knew I had to treat them more like guideposts and milestones rather than hard deadlines. I understand that offshore workers are not going to be like your employees because they have other projects they’re working besides yours. Peerbits’ work has been pretty good, and I have a complete and robust product; it’s not your normal MVP [minimum viable product]. Overall the project management has been pretty good, and I’m happy with it.
What did you find most impressive about Peerbits?
Peerbits’ graphical user interface is top class. I love it.
Are there any areas Peerbits could improve?
There are always ways to improve. Setting expectations with the client could be better. I quickly realized I was not the only one in development with Peerbits. I knew what to expect regarding the quality of work coming from offshore companies because they obviously have to make profits. It’s up to you as an entrepreneur to make sure that you get what you want. If you don't know what you want, nobody can help you anyway.
