Our project manager worked with outcrowd to create a log, brand book an landing page that captures the essence of our company. Outcrowd produced moodboards, 3 logo options and worked with us through a few iterations until the goal was achieved. Outcrowd also focused on UX/UI and graphics design for our landing page. In the end we received a landing page, logo book and all logo files.

We hired Outcrowd to provide 3 key deliverables: 

1. Design for a print brochure - turnaround of <1 week for an upcoming event 
2. A brand book, including logo, colors, typography, and "identity elements" (social media icon, t-shirt, and sticker) - turnaround of approximately 1 week, with another 2-3 weeks of minor adjustments 
3. Wireframe / design for our primary marketing website - 2-week turnaround, including adjustments

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

1. Timeframes for completion - all deliverables were completed within required time frames, and in many cases faster than expected 
2. Satisfaction of myself and co-owner in the business, likelihood to recommend to friends or family (Net Promoter Score) - satisfaction was very high all around. NPS 9 or 10 out of 10. 
3. Qualitative responses from friends and family - 100% positive reactions from 10-15 individuals.

They delivered all items on time or earlier than expected. Project manager and designers were highly responsive, with clear lines of communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Strong communication skills, despite location in Ukraine. They provided a high willingness to collaborate and flexibility to adapt to our needs. High speed of turnaround. And, being in Ukraine, their professionalism and positivity despite the traumatic events occurring around them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Outcrowd could have done differently?

There was one instance of extended back-and-forth with the web designer where he could have been clearer about his reasons for making a particular choice much earlier in the process. That was the exception, however, not the rule.

We hired Outcrowd to help us layout our first set of brand guidelines as well as UI/UX designs for several core pages within our web application.

We decided to hire Outcrowd based on their portfolio of work and experience as well as their ability to understand our needs and layout a project scope and budget that seemed appropriate.

Our project kicked off with an intro call with a coordinator /business development representative from Outcrowd. She explained the team's experience and capabilities and we talked through our needs and what we were looking for in the project. We then prepared and submitted a company brief to Outcrowd that included a summary of our company, our team, our mission, who we're building for and why and what our current product looks like as well as what we wanted to accomplish in the current project.

Outcrowd assigned a project manager and produced a proposal for how they would approach the work along with a time and cost estimate. We approved the proposal and moved forward. At that point we were introduced to the team what would work on our project including a graphic designer and UI/UX designer.

We communicated with our Outcrowd team once or twice week, passing questions, requirements, likes and dislikes and fielding questions from Outcrowd. We had several reviews and iterations of each piece of work and agreed when items were in a good / finalized state and final assets were exchanged and passed from Outcrowd to our team.

In total we worked with 4 people overall. There was an initial business development representative that we had contact with and then a project manager and then designers - graphic designer and UI/UX designer who worked on our assignment.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The final products were a set of brand guidelines that layout our companies logo, font and typography, color palate, imagery and patterns as well as a set of redesigned screens for our application including a dashboard and several layouts for the main workflow view our users utilize.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication frequency and clarity were all very strong. We invited Outcrowd into our team's Slack channel and it worked very well to enable our teams to share ideas, links, feedback.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The Outcrowd team is very professional. They worked to scope the project very clearly at the outset, this included setting expectations when it came to timeline and cost and meet those targets. The Outcrowd team also communicates very well.

Good clarity and cadence of communication throughout the engagement. Lastly, the final work product was good quality. We enjoyed working with the team and liked their approach and designs and have engaged them for further work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

With each aspect of the project we brought very specific desires around each page that was re-designed and what colors we did and didn't want. Perhaps this helped in ensuring a final product we were happy or perhaps the Outcrowd team would have come up with a better solution without our input or requests, hard to say.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss goals and objectives. From there, the team delivered mock-ups and wireframes for our site using Figma. After a few iterations, Outcrowd designed and developed an informational WordPress site. They updated the content to reflect our company's services and created our logo.

A project manager was our main point of contact throughout the process. There were also developers and designers working behind the scene.

Our stakeholders and audience love the updated design, and they now better understand our business.

OutCrowd designed a professional site that's easy to update. Their communication and patience in teaching us how to use our new site were outstanding.

When we first launched, the contact form had some minor bugs. We let them know, and they were quick to fix the issues.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Outcrowd has a reputation for creating and delivering quality work, and we liked their design/style. From a cost perspective, they were also highly competitive.

Outcrowd uses Figma to design and deliver review work to their customers. This format works great as we can leave feedback and work faster. We also have a shared Slack channel where we can quickly fire way questions to one another. As for technologies, the marketing landing site is developed using Webflow, a no-code solution.

Mainly two people, the project manager and the business manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

As this is an ongoing effort, the following deliverables have been delivered so far.

1. Branding Guidelines
2. User Flows diagrams
3. Wireframes for the main frontend application

As a customer, we don't have a lot of insight into their project management style. But we touch base every week and communicate often. Outcrowd provides us with a daily update every morning. Slack, Figma, and email are the main communication tools.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Despite the geographical divide, we are in the U.S located, and they are located in Europe. The ability to work together has been smooth, and they often have great suggestions and insights incorporated into the product. We like working with a company that takes an interest in their customer's products and wants to see it excel.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think the communication aspect could be improved, not only for Outcrowd but also for us as a customer. A few times, the feedback we provided was forgotten or not applied in the manner we wanted. This led to frustration in both parties as time and effort were applied incorrectly.

We interviewed several companies but came back to the quality of the work and the affordability. The team was very proactive and helped us to accomplish our vision.

Designs were completed in figma and we left feedback there as well as through a dedicated slack channel along with regular check-ins. Once the design was complete, the site was uploaded to Webflow which made it easy for us to make small updates as needed.

We mainly worked with our project manager. She had a team of designers and coders who translated our ideas onto the page.

The landing pages really increased our visibility and helped bridge the gap between the documentation and our users. We've had steady traffic increases and new interest in our services thanks to the awesome sites!

It was great from our side, their team was fast and always ready to make updates once we had them. We wanted to add several features and they were happy to oblige. Deadlines were all met from their side.

I was really impressed with their speed and how quickly things moved from idea to design to code. They had several great recommendations for site features and unique ways to display information, and their design team is top notch.

No, any delays were due to our team, really their communication was excellent and the final products really helped to elevate our visibility.

Alexandra and Anna were very quick to come up with concepts, and they were also open to suggestions, ideas and sketches that they turned into the vector shapes. This eventually became the logo, and the client was very happy.
