Next, the project’s team was formed, including 2 recruiters, 1 sourcer, and the company’s recruitment department head.

After that, the team began to work. The team members regularly selected suitable candidates for us, submitted their CVs for consideration, conducted screening interviews, and gave us detailed analyses. As a result, 5 specialists were finally selected and successfully hired to the staff of our company.

Thanks to them, we have already hired a PPC specialist. At the moment, there is a process of searching for a Sales manager, a Team Lead, and a Sales manager B2B. At the introductory meeting, we discussed with the company’s management all the details and stages of our joint project. We were introduced to the members of the OnHires’ recruitment department who were assigned to work on the project.

Then the project team got to work, immediately after the meeting. The first candidates’ CVs were presented to us very quickly. The sourcer and the recruiter regularly conduct work interviews and give us detailed reviews of the interviews with the most promising candidates for further selection. The project is currently underway, out of the four specialists we need, at the moment, one has already been hired, and the active search for the rest is in process.

In 2022 I needed to hire a new Cloud Engineer into my team, with a very specific set of skills and attributes, almost "niche". The person had to be skilled with "cloud native" infrastructure technology (Kubernetes), as well as more "classic/lift-and-shift" scenarios (e.g. moving businesses from their own datacenter with VMWare into Cloud).

Besides technical skill, the person was required to have presales/consulting attitude, e.g. not just "pure" engineering profile. The person had to be located in a subset of cities/countries in Eastern Europe where my team has a presence (or to be ready to relocate into one). On top of all that - the person was required to be able to speak Russian and/or Ukrainian fluently.

We initially tried to find the right candidate using internal recruiting and direct outreach from colleagues in the team via LinkedIn, both via existing connections and "word of mouth" reposts. This attempt failed miserably - from the pipeline of around 10 candidates that we found like that none was able to pass all the interviews required.

At that point i've decided to engage OnHires to help me build the new pipeline, with a more in-depth search into the right candidate profile that my team needed.

OnHires has provided me with candidate search consulting. We had one intro call where I described the need on the profile, shown them some examples of the profile, explained the specific nuances that my team needs atm along with location/language/headcount constraints.

For each candidate that OnHires found they provided me with a well written brief (based on the candidate conversations they had) and a CV. For those candidates that I vetted positively - OnHires further handled intro call scheduling between me and the candidate, from which I could further decide whether to proceed with a specific one.

I worked primarily with Yulia - easily the best recruiter I ever had a chance to work with so far. She was super diligent and well structured, understood the task very well, and quickly reacted to feedback from me. She was also obviously caring a lot about overall results and everyone involved - the candidates, myself.

Whenever I was embarrassingly late for a few mins for a call with the candidate - Yulia would reach out to double-check if it's just me being late or something is wrong with the scheduling and needs to be changed. Top notch work ethic! In parallel we also kept in touch with Victoria who (I guess) was there in chats with us to oversee the whole thing. But given how well Yulia did her thing - the oversight was a nice thing but pretty optional, frankly :)

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

OnHires built a pipeline of around 10 candidates for the role, which was already a lot, given how complex the requirements were. Out of them 5 went into a full series of the interviews, 2 made it to the final, 1 got hired and started in his role already. So far so good :)

Extremely effective - well written briefs on the candidates, quick reaction to feedback, rapidly organized follow-ups. I don't have much time for calls, so we only did one introductory one and the rest was well managed via chat

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They helped me find 5 good candidates in the conditions where my team (incl. our internal recruiting colleagues) gave up and suggested I change the requirements. So that's quite an achievement if you ask me.

Can't name one. Communication was great, the outcome is in place, the quality of the candidate search was extremely good. So just keep doing what you're doing, and I wish you more good business and happy clients (you know how to make them such).
