I’m the executive director of a grant-making nonprofit organization. We support nonprofits in our local community with funds.

What challenge were you trying to address with OneEach Technologies?

We needed to update our website and make it more user-friendly on the front and easier to manage on the backend. We also wanted to embed forms for funding applications, volunteer sign-ups, information, and more.

What was the scope of their involvement?

OneEach Technologies built our website using Drupal. They transferred some content we had on our previous site, but they developed the website from scratch. The team had 8–9 design templates, and we chose the layout from there. OneEach Technologies also embedded applications into the site.

The website could be used in many different ways. Users could read our newsletters, apply for funding, get information on our campaigns, sign up as volunteers, see various resources and tools for the community, see our partners, and log in to review their funding applications.

What is the team composition?

Kayla (Account Executive) was our sales representative. Christina (Account Manager), Jordan (Account Manager), and Sunceray (Project Manager) were the developers. Additionally, we worked with Marshall (Customer Support) for desk support.

How did you come to work with OneEach Technologies?

I found them through United Way Worldwide; they were mentioned in one of the blogs. We got in touch with a sales representative who evaluated our needs and provided a proposal. After looking at three bids from different companies, we decided OneEach Technologies was the best for us in terms of price and offer; the price was just the best by thousands of dollars. Then, we got transferred to our account managers to start the project.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $4,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in July 2022, and they completed the website in December 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve had 25 funding applications come through. We wanted to create the website for the funding cycle, and it’s been easy for agencies to apply for funding.

How did OneEach Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We typically communicated via email and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They really knew our product and how we operate. OneEach Technologies understood our needs and spoke our language.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as interactive as you can. They offer a lot of webinars on how to maximize the use of your site, so make the most of it.

I am the Executive Director of a free healthcare clinic. We provide healthcare to uninsured, indigent adults in our community.

We hired OneEach to design and host a website for our organization. We also retained them as tech support in specific arenas. They built our site and trained us on how to maintain the site on our own with their guidance and support.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The vendor was selected prior to my joining the organization. Based on knowledge of who chose them, I can intuit they were chosen for timeliness, effective communication, reasonable pricing and agility.

Members of our Board had conversations with OneEach about designs and ways the site needed to function, which included webforms and donation capability, among other things. My understanding is that everyone agreed upon a "look" for the site and from there it was built out utilizing pre-existing information from an old site.

I cannot provide much detail because it was mostly complete by the time I joined but I was there on the tail end and we had a few meetings to review the site, offering areas to tweak and then receiving final training.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There were at least three that I know of. One was our account manager, another was a tech support specialist and then the other title I am unsure of but she was somewhat of an overall guide.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The completion of this project allowed us to more officially and professionally present our organization to the public and move forward with seeking volunteers and donors. It provided us a face and legitimacy, which have been key in elevating our organization. The site has assisted us in strengthening our relationships with the community and other partners across the state.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow has been excellent. There has been next to no lag in communication time. When we've had something to fix we've received near immediate response and their team is excellent at communicating with ours. They have provided lots of knowledge and assistance when needed, pointed us in the right direction to solve problems or solved them for us on their end. It has been very helpful to us.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I've been impressed by the speed that they communicate and find solutions. Our Account Rep has been excellent working with me, a novice at website creation and maintenance. They are patient and thoughtful and provide great support and guidance to us. Though making updates to the site has been a slower learning process for me, I am very pleased that I can make these updates on my own in my time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don't think they could've done anything differently per se. My regret is that the process was started prior to my involvement and I'd have made different decisions on the overall design but that isn't anything other than personal preference.

What challenge were you trying to address with OneEach Technologies?

We had been hosting our website’s previous iteration with OneEach, and it came a time when they were migrating the support for their services to an updated version of the CMS and a more secure server. OneEach’s support changes required migrating our website into the new setup, so we took this opportunity also to upgrade its look and feel. Doing this would allow us not only to have a more secure system for our site with greater accessibility and formatting options but also a fresh new design.

What was the scope of their involvement?

OneEach helped us upgrade and redesign our existing website, after which they migrated it into their new server setup.

What is the team composition?

OneEach’s team for this project varied between 5–7 people, including designers, developers, Allyson (Account Manager & VP of Customer Relations), and Emily (Project Manager), who oversaw this particular project. Allyson and Emily were my two main points of contact.

How did you come to work with OneEach Technologies?

OneEach was already hosting our website when I joined, so I don’t know how we originally found them. However, other branches of our organization also use OneEach, so our branch may have come to work with them through our global organization.

Still, when we were facing this transition, I compared OneEach with other service providers before continuing our service with them. I had several discussions with Allyson and provided her with some parameters regarding our expectations for a web hosting service and platform. They were very accommodating and helped us address the questions and requirements we had before deciding whether to continue working with them or not.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $2,300 in total, including website hosting, support, and upgrade management.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began discussions in January 2022. After we decided to continue working with OneEach, we started the upgrade process in April 2022 and launched the site in September 2022. Our only delays were on my end; we had to postpone the launch due to circumstances on my side.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

In addition to transitioning our website into a more secure server setup hosted by OneEach, we now have an upgraded website with greater functionality in its CMS. Thanks to its increased capabilities, we can do more things with our site more easily. Additionally, our new site looks great, so I’m excited to see how it can assist us in meeting our goals moving forward.

How did OneEach Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Allyson and Emily were very communicative, supportive, accommodating, and helpful throughout the entire process, and they kept us aware of the progress being made. We helped facilitate the upgrade process, so OneEach constantly communicated what they needed from us in order to achieve that progress.

They also assisted us with training for the handoff, and they were very understanding of the delays on my end. Overall, I had a great professional and personal experience working with them.

For the most part, OneEach stuck to the timeline. There was only one instance when they couldn’t stay within schedule because they needed to do some additional development work, which took a bit longer than planned. However, this instance didn’t represent a major delay.

As for collaboration tools, OneEach added our team to Basecamp, which helped provide oversight for all parties involved in the development process. Additionally, we mainly communicated via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

OneEach was very personable, which was noticeable. Other companies take a corporate approach to projects — they come in, get the job done, and get out. However, we never felt that approach with OneEach. They took the time to walk us through the process and answer our questions, and they were open and amicable in providing training and insight. Their personal approach made us feel comfortable and confident, making our overall experience even better.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing OneEach could have done on their end to improve their services. Sometimes, it was a little bit difficult to connect with Allyson. However, we knew that she also worked with many other companies, so she hasn’t always available, which was fine; we just had to be a little patient.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Ensure to be aware of the project’s progress so that you feel comfortable that the final product will address your needs.

Met with Allyson and we discussed our current needs, what we needed in addition to what we already had on our website. We then met on a regular basis to ensure everyone was still on the same page and on track.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Those who go to our site have a clearer understanding of who we are and what we do. I can see a difference in the traffic that is engaged with our site since we changed.

Allyson was a great communicator and teacher. She would video several complex things for us so that I could rewatch and learn. She always met deadlines and ensured we were happy with the progress.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I would say the willingness to truly listen and work with me to ensure we had a qualtiy finished product. Also I was impressed with Allyson's ability to teach and help me learn as this is not my skill set.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They were always quick to fix anything that was not quite what we expected.

OneEach Technologies has taken our non profit from a silent web presence to a high functioning, efficient tool. We have more than tripled our service intake via the user-friendly webforms since we launched just 2 months ago! We are able to onboard new volunteers seamlessly linking by completing their application to scheduling their orientations. As a result our program has streamlined many of our office functions which has increased our effectiveness in both serving our community as well as better utilizing staff hours.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched through several examples of similar businesses who had a thriving web presence. Many of those examples where already customers of OneEach Technologies. We were impressed by their clean web design as well as the flexibility OneEach offered to taylor our website to our specific needs. This prompted us to schedule a consultation.

We transitioned from a Drupal 7 platform to Drupal 9. We expressed that we did not want to piggy back off of the branding of a different organization and OneEach was FANTASTIC in incorporating parts of multiple site designs to perfectly represent our vision. We built new webforms, links for scheduling as well as reface all of our content.

I truly cannot think of a thing that could have been done better.

I am the Director of Marketing and Events at the United Way of Bemidji Area. The United Way raises funds that are invested in local non-profit agencies and programs that address the root-causes of the most serious human needs in our community and create real, lasting change in people’s lives.

I connected with our website manager Allyson James to improve the process of our annual agency grant application. Our goals were to create an easier process for agencies applying for funding, and to simplify the process for United Way staff.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

United Ways partner with OneEach Techonologies across the country. They provide website platforms that allow us all to adhere to brand guidelines.

I set up a few meetings with our website manager to determine the process of switching over our previous grant system to incorporate webforms and have everything submitted through our website.

I worked directly with Allyson James, VP of Customer Relations.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching our grant to be completely through our website, we realized that the webforms combining everything into reports saved our team HOURS of uploading and preparation. We also had multiple partner agencies comment on the ease of being able to log into our website and handle all of the grant aspects there.

Allyson was a huge asset to our grant process this year. She was very helpful with any questions while building the grant, she helped record a tutorial video for our partner agencies using the website for the first time, and was fast to respond if there were any issues along the way.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I found Allyson's knowledge of the website's features most impressive. There seems to be a solution for any issue and creative ways to make our visions come to life.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No.

I’m the marketing director at United Way of Payne County. We’re a local affiliate of United Way Worldwide, and we support local nonprofit partner agencies through fundraising. All those agencies then help support and improve the health, education, and financial stability of every citizen in Payne County, Oklahoma.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with OneEach Technologies?

We hired them for website-hosting services. We also needed our platform to be stable and a solution for processing and collecting donations.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

OneEach is hosting our website, which houses all of our information on our partner agencies and who we are. They also manage the side of the website where people can donate online, which functions through a web application. 

They’ve developed a solution that allows us to process donations and create any donation form that we want, connected through Apple Pay and Stripe. We use Stripe to process all donated dollars, and we get email receipts when donations come in. 

Right now, we’re about to start our community investment program, where our 22 partner agencies apply for fundraising from us. OneEach has developed a web form for us. This form functions as an online application, where users can create an account, sign in, upload documents, and save their progress.  The backend lets us easily export the applications when they’re complete to review them in an easy-to-read and accessible way. 

OneEach also provides online support and maintenance for our website. We can submit support tickets whenever we need things updated or if we have issues. Additionally, OneEach provides us with an in-person representative with whom we can schedule training whenever we need more hands-on, intensive learning on how to use the website.

As for the backend, OneEach keeps it up to date to meet current web and browser standards, updating it every time a new version of Drupal comes out. 

What is the team composition?

Allyson (VP for Customer Relations) is our assigned rep that I schedule training with. At least 2–3 developers from OneEach have worked with us for email support tickets and their whole team has helped us as issues have come up because they each have their specialties.

How did you come to work with OneEach Technologies?

I wasn’t with the organization when OneEach became our partner. However, I believe we found and chose them because they administrate websites for many local United Ways organizations. Someone in our network let us know that OneEach liked to work with nonprofits and had standard processes across the board.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve invested around $7,000–$10,000. We pay annual fees that have ranged from $1,000–$1,300, and we sometimes pay one-time fees for major design changes or other additional services from them.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in September 2021, and the engagement is ongoing. 

However, OneEach has been my organization’s partner for at least five years.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since we’ve been using OneEach, our annual fundraising campaign has raised more and more dollars each year, with more donations coming in online year-over-year (YoY). These results are partly due to the way OneEach has set up our donation page.

We’d been trying to move towards online donations as much as possible. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated that shift, the easy functionality of the solution OneEach developed has also played a significant role in achieving this goal. 

Thanks to their efforts, we’re also getting more visibility as we move forward. We’ve not only seen more dollars come in, but we’ve also seen more people ask about volunteering and submitting questions about who we are, what we do, and our services. 

The OneEach team has also been very forward-thinking in preparing us for major updates to the site. Whenever we have a website interruption because of an update, they make sure the transition is as smooth as possible. 

How did OneEach Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve performed pretty well from a project management standpoint. The team is timely with support and very quick in responding to tickets. 

We mostly communicate via email. OneEach has a support page on their website where we submit support tickets, which sends them an email, and then they email us back when they start fixing the issues. 

We do our scheduled training sessions over Zoom to screen share. From time to time, I can call them and talk to someone on the phone whenever the need arises.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The best thing about working with OneEach is that when I need to talk to a real person, they make sure they give me the opportunity to do that. 

I appreciate having our representative Allyson, who’s really helpful and tries to make herself as available as she can with training. I’ve learned most of what I know about our website from Allyson. OneEach also makes it easy to schedule training; they have a calendar where I can book a time for an appointment. 

Additionally, the team is very knowledgeable about how our website works, how issues can get fixed, and where things are. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes, we don’t get as much of a heads up about price rises as we’d like. We’re a nonprofit, so we’re very mindful of our budget and expenses. OneEach has made gradual upgrades, reflected in higher fees and program costs. We understand that those updates and changes are necessary, though. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take advantage of the opportunity to have one-on-one training with your representative. Those sessions are when you’re going to learn the most about your website. 

Additionally, don’t hesitate to use OneEach’s support tickets when things go wrong. Instead of trying to figure out how to use your website and the software that comes with it, lean on the experts and representatives at OneEach; they know what they’re doing and have the most knowledge. Their support is included in the cost, so take advantage of it when you can.

I am the Director of Marketing & Communications at United Way of Northeast Louisiana, a local nonprofit based in Monroe, Louisiana that serves 12 parishes of the state. We fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our region.

Our website was created several years ago and no longer up to brand standards and was not serving our client base as we needed it to. We wanted to create a user-friendly, engaging experience for our donors and visitors – a one-stop shop for all things United Way NELA.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our organization used OneEach many years ago, but switched to a local vendor about 7 years ago. While our experience has been okay with the local vendor, it has been exponentially better to switch back to OneEach. Their experience with other United Ways around the country makes them well-versed in our goals and aspirations as well as our brand standards. Additionally, their price was extremely competitive, and the services offered far exceeded those provided by our local vendor.

After selecting our website theme, OneEach project staff set to work on building the bare bones of our site. Once BaseCamp was open to me, I migrated content and had weekly trainings/check-in meetings with Jordan, my OneEach Account Rep. She helped me tremendously as I learned to navigate the back end of our new website. She made wonderful suggestions, provided examples from other United Ways, and even jumped in to correct problems or glitches along the way. She was patient and kind and wonderful to work with!

I corresponded with a total of three people from OneEach: Kayla, Sunceray, and Jordan, but worked most heavily with Jordan.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Still working on measurables – but we were successful in troubleshooting an initial Google Analytics account glitch, which has been very helpful!

Everything was well organized from start to finish, and all communications were clear and helpful. My messages were responded to very quickly (almost always same-day) and I was never left to navigate anything alone or "in the dark."

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The hands-on approach. For a company that never visited with me in person, they were so successful in making me feel like I was a valuable client and that my organization's needs were important. I got to know the staff through video and email communication and I never felt as if I was "just an account number."

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I see no areas for improvement. They provided excellent customer service and an all-around wonderful experience. We'll be sticking with OneEach for life!

We asked Christina to create a more robust landing page for our AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Page within our homepage.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We’ve been using OneEach Technologies for years now. I began working for the United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties in February 2020, so (luckily) I was already given access to this reliable, competent company (OneEach).

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Our project required Christina to turn a simple landing page within our website, to a more interactive, user friendly page for our RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) members. Elements included a job board of various volunteer opportunities (current and future through a Calendar), upload their hours, upload their mileage logs, and view all of the on-boarding documents that pertain to the program.

In total I worked with (1) person, Christina, Administrative Assistant.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are still in the launching phase of this project, but everything on our end is absolutely set-up for Success!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication with Christina was easy, quick and efficient. After our initial meeting, I believe we only went through one more round of revisions (which included us adding a few more new ideas to Christina’s project).

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Christina’s professionalism, patience (with what seemed like a changing vision of the landing page), proficiency made this project easy from idea to reality.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No. Christina was great to work with and I'm already dreaming up another project to ask for her help with!

We contracted with OneEach Technologies for website transition and design.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were already working with OneEach on our current website and we were happy with the customer service and the options provided. We also were pleased that they had such strong relationships with other United Ways and were familiar with the branding requirements and the brand overall.

We were given an overview of the process to transition to an updated website with a new look and feel. We set a timeline and a goal launch date and scheduled check ins leading up to the launch.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Our main point of contact was Jordan, account manager. She was extremely responsive and helpful. There were others on the team but they were not as responsive, even causing a delay in information being added into the timeline. When we needed a question answered we knew Jordan was the best to contact.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website transition was successful and on time.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our account manager Jordan was the best person to maintain workflow and communication. There were delays in heading back from others on the team but Jordan was always very prompt.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It was great that they had significant knowledge about United Way Worldwide and even provided examples of websites that helped us when creating our new pages.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When the information was transitioned it was simply copied and pasted from the old website- which lead to a number of font issues that required some code work on our end. Once Jordan became aware of it she personally fixed the pages, however I feel that that is something the programmers need to add into their process.

There also should be a "paste as plain text" option in the editor so that new information can be added within the correct fonts and styles so additional steps do not need to be added.
