Computer was not booting properly. Jeff went through the error logs and identified some possible issues. We cleared the errors and restarted in the computer in an earlier version. This solved the problem and the computer started up properly

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I found Norad by doing a Google search. Jeff was very helpful and informative over the phone and when he came out to do his initial analysis of our office network.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

I called Jeff and informed him of he issues we were having with our network. He quickly came out to our property to take a look at the current set up. Within a day or so he provided his recommendations and a quote for his services. Once accepted, parts were ordered and the project was completed within a couple weeks. Jeff has checked in with us on multiple occasions to make sure everything is functioning properly and has been very helpful any time we have needed assistance since.

Our network now works seamlessly with no interruptions.

I appreciated how they explained everything in detail and provided documentation about what had been done. His tone was always helpful and never condescending, which is nice considering my technical knowledge is minimal.

I can't think of any area that could have been improved upon, we were satisfied with the level of service provided.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the founder and CEO of Virtical. We're a coaching service for senior living communities. We offer four services, one of which is one-to-one sales coaching via our proprietary micro-learning system.

For the last 20 years, I've worked with memory care environments in the assisted living sector, and that has really been my specialty. In the new service, we're also doing online messaging, comparative research, and helping clients assess their marketplace identity. Finally, we're doing life enrichment coaching, working with life enrichment or activity staff at senior living communities to infuse their existing programs with additional ideas or augment previous programs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Norad Services LLC?

Based on the organizational construct that we have put together, we decided it was time to get a website. Due to the complexities of our micro-learning format, I needed someone like Jeff (Owner) to help me out.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Norad Services LLC is building a full infrastructure and WordPress website from scratch. Jeff and the team have been working with our design agency to create graphics and logos for the website. We've used an iterative process to plan the website's format and outline how our links will interface with Facebook and other social media platforms. Norad Services LLC will be responsible for hosting the site and assisting us with various technical issues and maintenance.

The website will feature a homepage with a typical menu. When visitors click on the services tab, they'll be directed to a page that links to our four service offerings. From there, the linkage will eventually go to our intellectual property (IP) and other credible sources, such as videos, blogs, and podcasts. The team is developing the necessary technology to make the linkage process go smoothly.

We mostly work with Jeff and two other team members.

How did you come to work with Norad Services LLC?
I've worked in the senior living sector for well over 45 years, and Jeff and I were with the same company for a period of time. During that time, I got to know Jeff and greatly respected his abilities. Knowing about his past, gifts, and talent, I thought he was the perfect solution for our team. I contacted him after reviewing various potential service providers. I appreciated Jeff's willingness to work with my designer because other service providers wanted to handle the design component with their own people. Then, I spoke with my design agency about working with Jeff. ​​​​​

How much have you invested in them?

We've spent over $10,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in September 2022 and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our team is very appreciative of Jeff is doing for us. We wanted to find a partner who could dream the dream and be innovative; Norad Services LLC has delivered. They've talked us through various plans to develop the necessary technology to support our vision. Their level of experience and talent has enabled them to creatively infuse our website with a new approach that transcends the existing platform without reinventing the wheel. They've been transforming what was initially a problematic navigation experience into a smooth one. We've had very positive feedback.

How did Norad Services LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

Norad Services LLC is first-class concerning project management. When I email or text them, they get back to me within a very short time period. When I call, they answer immediately or get back to me quickly. They've been stellar when it comes to attentiveness. The one thing I appreciate in partnerships and collaborations with colleagues is that I don’t want it just to be my way. I want what we're doing to be effective in communicating with the markets that we're seeking to develop relationships with. Norad Services LLC has respected my ideas while being forthcoming about suggestions and advice for or against things.

Our solid ​​​​​collaboration has allowed us to work toward creating the best possible product. I appreciate that they've respected me while challenging me to think beyond my own limited knowledge in the area. For example, in our initial discussions with Jeff, our design team, and the advisory board, we were determined to implement a certain idea for the concept page. Jeff respectfully told us the idea was viable if we did various other tasks, which he listed. ​​​​​Although that could be seen as a bug, it facilitated a discussion that has led to a much better idea.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm most impressed by their openness and willingness to respect my wishes. Jeff takes a patient and respectful position when he either disagrees with me or has an alternative idea that would be more effective. I've worked with other service providers who've made the collaboration process frustrating because they saw themselves as experts. Norad Services LLC is different because they haven't forced their methods on us. Instead, they've acted as a true service provider and collaborative partner.

I have nothing they could improve on.

We contacted Norad Services to investigate a spoof email that was sent from an employee's email address. Jeff F. of Norad Services remotely accessed 3 staff computers and scanned them for viruses and malware. He installed a Malware Bytes program and provided us with helpful information on obtaining better virus and malware protection in the future.

Jeff set up a virtual environment to further investigate the spoof email and sent us a detailed summary of his findings. He also assisted us with troubleshooting an issue that occurred in the Outlook account that sent the spoof email.
