I am the co-founder of an eCommerce start-up focusing on general merchandise and online experiences.

For what projects/services did your company hire Nodo, and what were your goals?

We partnered with Nodo to develop our website. We were looking for a partner that could do rapid, mobile-responsive website development using widely available tools but with expertise and thought leadership to advise us on best technologies, design experiences.

Also we were looking to have a long-term relationship as we iterate on the business model as well as to maintain the day-to-day site.

How did you select Nodo and what were the deciding factors?

We selected Nodo due to:

1. The quality of the proposal and discussions with Zachary who would become our Product/Project Manager. He just clicked with us and understood the vision and challenges.
2. Rapid development by utilizing their team overseas who could turn around experiences overnight in many cases.
3. Overall value of partnering with top-quality, responsive team and the cost of their services.

We gave Nodo a very tight-timeline: 6 weeks from contract-signing to production. We spend a good amount of time storyboarding with Zachary who would then mock-up experiences and designs for us.

We selected WordPress and WooCommerce as platforms and required a series of customizations and configurations to develop the experience we wanted. Also, all the development had to be responsive in nature as we were not planning on developing an app at first.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had one Product/Project Manager (the Great Zachary!) who we interacted with directly. He was responsible for taking our requirements back to the Nodo development team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We launched an MVP as planned in 6 weeks and continued to iterate and learn from the experiences developed the by Nodo team. We continue to work with Nodo to maintain the site and improve the experiences.

Zachary and the team were EXTREMELY flexible, often times meeting with us and/or working on weekends to keep the project moving. We received period updates on status of different deliverables in addition to our calls.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Nodo is a true partner. Having worked with other tech and/or marketing vendors that just execute and don't challenge us, Zachary represented Nodo really well - a company that values customer service and "the product." They have been an invaluable partner to us.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not that I can think at all.

How did you select Nodo and what were the deciding factors?

I met Zachary and the Nodo team in December 2019. It was during a pivotal time for Sizigi as we just started our software company and we were having issues with our current technology vendor.

After vetting more than a hundred technology providers, Nodo was the easy choice. The deciding factor was the tremendous prior development work of the Nodo team

We worked seamlessly together to develop our MVP, Beta, and v1 within a handful of months. The Nodo team also built our entitlement and billing functionality as well as our website. Some of the technology used was React and Mongo DB.

I worked directly with Zachary as the Technology leader and Diogo as the project manager

The team built a cutting edge platform that already has 5,000 active users. The feedback from our users has been tremendous

The project management aspect was tremendous. We had great communication between the teams and the timelines were achieved.

What were your goals for this project?

Develop a modern, scalable, easy-to-handle and lightweight App to download. The project was on schedule, meeting the deadline

How did you select this vendor?

Nodo has successfully finished other projects for GrupoRBS. So, its high level of quality and delivery were already known. Therefore, we chose Nodo for for this project.

Nodo developed the app for both Android and IOS. They developed the project according to the guidelines developed by the our company. Nodo worked closely with the internal development team.

What was the team composition?

Project manager, QA, Android developers, IOS developers, and account manager.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project met the KPIs established at the beginning of the project. Which are:

• easy to read news 
• featured photos relevance
• a lightweight downloadable app
• fluid navigability
• state of the art technology

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Both Nodo and GrupoRBS teams were integrated to manage the project. An online tool was used to track activities and deliveries. Communication between the teams was clear and easily accessible

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed by their technical knowledge, timely delivery of artifacts and clear communication. Nodo is able to understand their customer's business model and exceed delivery expectations.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Agile methods were used for the app development. We pinpointed the potencial improvements during the development cycle, which were promptly implemented in the following cycle. This guaranteed continuous improvement throughout the project.

What were your goals for this project?

Develop a modular, scalable, standalone widgets-based design responsibly and absolutely smart. The project should be developed in a few weeks in an optimized manner and very oriented to the company's business model.

The project has all the positive KPIs, greater findability, speed and innovation in content management through a CMS fully developed by the company.

Associatively with my company, maintaining absolute control of the project and all its phases.

I was impressed by their refinement, effectiveness, professionalism, and punctuality. They have the ability to work in teams, taking responsibility for the project results, not just providing technological solutions.

We are a start-up offering immigration services. I am the product designer in charge of UX and UI so I am responsible for making decisions related to the look and function of our product. I have been communicating with Nodo on an almost daily basis since starting the project.

Our goals were to create a form builder and platform that is flexible enough to allow us to pivot in a variety of directions as our company grows.

We worked with a few other development companies before finding Nodo. Because of our experiences, we were very critical and looked for a company that valued transparent communication, creative problem solving and excitement about the product.

Nodo impressed us from the start by taking the time to fully scope, understand, and think through our needs. They considered multiple approaches and made conscious, well-informed decisions that they communicated to us before moving forward. I continue to be impressed by them on a daily basis because they have upheld all the expectations they set forth at the beginning of the project.

This project is our product and will be the basis of our company.

Initially, we spoke with a project manager who was more on the business side. The development project manager was brought in quickly and already had been informed about our project. We have mostly been working with the development project manager but both leaders are up to date on our project progress. They have a very effective management structure that has been easy to work with and gives me confidence that everyone is on the same page.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Nodo impressed us from the start by taking the time to fully scope, understand, and think through our needs. They considered multiple approaches and made conscious, well-informed decisions that they communicated to us before moving forward. I continue to be impressed by them on a daily basis because they have upheld all the expectations they set forth at the beginning of the project.

We hired Nodo to accelerate our product development at a time where I just arrived in Brasil not having any network or traction to build a team. Nodo gave me the necessary boost to achieve my goals.

What were your goals for this project?

To deliver v.1 for our Android app from scratch and help with improvements for our iOS.

We started the project with the starting point to build a great Android app that was being built from the base of our iOS experience. The Android app really surprised me in the speed and quality Nodo was able to deliver.

What was the team composition?

1 UI Designer, 1 Android Dev, 1 iOS Dev and 1 PO

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The Android App was developed in a 4month period and got featured meeting the Google Play standards after 3 weeks being live.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I found the flow very efficiency and considering that the work was remote it was surprisingly smooth. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The commitment of the team and leaders. The team was constantly pushing things forward and helping to achieve our goals.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Perhaps creating an opportunity to meet the team in person along the way. But besides of that, I believe Nodo is definitely a partner to count with.
