I’m the sales and marketing director at Shopsys, a custom e-commerce development shop that builds large scale e-commerce sites. We offer our platform for other agencies, being the IT developers in the e-commerce world with our own platform.

The team provides two PHP developers to work with our team on backend development. They also assisted with build big e-commerce projects for major tech retailers, acting as part of our team.

We hired two PHP developers full-time.

Moravio was actually using our technology to build their own projects. A year ago, we needed extra resources for a project, and we asked them because they had experience with our technology. We knew they were a huge company that was from our same city. We’ve organized community events together, and our CEOs were also friends.

Our engagement started in December 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team at Moravio helped us develop the project on time. Their resources were as efficient as if we hired someone in-house. It was a big advantage that they used to work with our technology before.

The onboarding was quite fast, and we didn’t have any problems with them. They were a good cultural fit. It was easy to cooperate with them on both the developers’ and business levels. The client perceives the team as a whole, and they were satisfied, relaying positive feedback.

The project was led by a project owner that worked in an agile approach. They deliver on time. For communication, we use Slack and Jira.

They had the ability to become part of the team quickly. The fit was so good that they didn’t feel like an outsourced company.

I have no areas of improvement.

Make sure there’s a cultural fit. Because of that, our cooperation was good. I recommend working with them.

The New generation museum was a startup in the field of culture, arts and tourism. This is a unique project that combines IT technology, modern interpretation of classical history museum reference, such as exhibits. New generation museum was one of the pillars in the reconstruction and revitalization of the Zdar estate, which has the ambition to become a cultural and social centre for visitors and residents. Emphasis on modern communication using an online middle with international outreach.

For what projects/services did your company hire Moravio, and what were your goals?

The Moravio company was hired on the basis of recommendations for the development of new castle websites and mobile applications. It was a complex concept, we needed to cover many aspects and services that the castle grounds will offer. From commercial activities such as weddings, accommodation, tours, to a calendar of events and festivals. The mobile application was then to offer a virtual tour.

Moravio was recommended to us as a young, creative and innovative company that is able to meet our requirements and deliver on time.

The entire project was coordinated via the Base Camp application, which allowed us to communicate in real-time with the Moravio team and respond flexibly to questions and requests. The website was tailor-made for us using WordPress, incl. admin interface.

Not sure for now, a team of 3-5 people, including a project manager, programmers and developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the exact numbers, but the website traffic was perfect. Since the launch, the site has also been promoted via social networks and the traffic has been satisfactory. The website at that time was very innovative and modern in terms of cultural concept and in comparison with other web presentations of other monuments in the Czech Republic.

This is also evidenced by receiving the Zlatý Erb award in 2018. Special Award of the Minister for Regional Development for the best tourist presentation on the website, Tourist Attraction Category, 1st place.

The entire project was coordinated via the Base Camp application, which allowed us to communicate in real-time with the Moravio team and respond flexibly to questions and requests. The deadlines were met and the communication went well.

Very personal and pro-client approach, the effort to satisfy the customer, but also the tendency to advise and navigate the customer in the right direction.

To this day, a good impression prevails, but I am aware that it was possible to work more on care and detail.

First af all we started with series of workshops as a parts of analysis, because we are huge team with different requirements. We had to find our direction and goals.

We found them and Moravio took next step - construction of new website. We appreciate their high level of understanding. For us (as final users) was the most difficult part accept final version and part of whole project and we have to again appreciate patience of Moravio team.

• Overall new, fresh and modern look of the landing page. Higher traffic, CR and time spent on the page.

We were very happy with the whole cooperation with Moravio. Everything was very clear from the beginning. They followed our design rules / guidelines, listened our feedback on the mockups. The whole communication was very good managed by their project manager Šárka. There were always meeting notes sent with the action points.

The timeline was followed and the project was delivered on time. We are recommending Moravio and if we have the option we would pick Moravio and the whole team to another project again.

I´m the IT and sales specialist. We are dealers and a bit of a manufacturers of machine tool accessories and instruments.

For what projects/services did your company hire Moravio, and what were your goals?

We were using outdated e-shop platform which was not in our own possesion. Any (even small) upgrade done to our website was paid many times by increasing the base price / rent of the e-shop. Therefore we hired Moravio to create our new e-shop, finally free of flat fees.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Moravio was recommended to us by a good friend from university who worked with them on other projects. The most important factor for us was reliability and professionalism - which after 4 years turned out (and it still is) OK.

After the first meeting we soon recieved a simple description of how our e-shop should work, then the basic graphical sketches of our new website. The main issue was to implement all necessary steps to match our new e-shop with our IS, alongside with our new demands which would help us with daily work.

We were working from 2-4 people - project managers, programmers and graphic designer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Because the land pages of our new e-shop are different from the old one, there was an expected decrease of our sales, but after aprox. 6 months we are nearly at the same levels as before. Corona, war and general prices increase are all responsible for the sales decrease for sure, but we are happy where we are - with new functions and possibilities.

Most of the time we communicated with project manager. Emails at start, helpdesk later. Before every step completed, an estimate time for implementation was pre-determined, agreed, tested and then finally aplied.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Even after changing the project manager, the quality of service was still the same. They even learned how to use our Information System to be able to check and test the changes - among other things which were not completely connected to the new e-shop´s creation.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Maybe time. The development took more time than we anticipated, but it is not entirely their fault - we wanted the new e-shop to be perfect - with all the new functions and possibilities, even when the first plan was to launch the website as soon as it matches the old one in functionality. We were in no rush.
