Online Auction Portal With Real-time Auctions
This project was initially a project rescue from a different team of developers. We have successfully taken over the entire project and continue to develop and expand it.
Before we taken over the project, we agreed with the client on a short analysis of couple weeks, where we examined the technical status of the project, individual connections, architecture, API, storage of critical data and server settings.
Our analysis showed that although the project is functional and holds together, it will be necessary to work on many parts of the entire project in order to improve the already the quality and stabilization of the project.
As part of the analysis, the client received a specific individual steps from us, that we recommended to perform on the project in order to gradually get to the desired goal. The client also received the described roles and types of users, the entire backlog filled with individual User Stories with regard to where the project wants to go (ie "how it will work") and also BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) diagrams describing the entire project.
We are constantly working together with the client on new ideas, features and the overall development of the portal.

Portal For Searching and Booking of Wellness Stays
This project is a project rescue, where previous team of developers were not able to deliver promised results.
At the beginning of the cooperation, it was necessary to first analyze the status of the project. Our initial analysis resulted in steps that needed to be taken to gradually get to a state where the project will be commercially executable for future clients.
In first year of development, we fixed the most critical bugs and significantly sped up the entire site and all of it's pages. After that, we started to focus on most critical feature for the MVP. The whole project was rebranded together with completely new design, which we were part of.
We also transferred the project to Docker container technology and deployed it on Google Cloud for better future scalability, monitoring and management.
This client's project contains many advanced internal systems like:
- brand new complex pricing algorithm,

Streaming and Live Classes platform for creators

This project is very interesting both for its users and for us as software developers. It's packed with a lot of modern technology and complex and difficult obstacles to solve. That's exactly what we're looking for.
Whole project is running on couple of modern AWS services (i.e.: Amplify) paired with tools like Terraform, GraphQL etc. Main focus of this project is on Live Classes and streaming with possibility to create creative classes. User can use animations, timers and awesome music as a background. Every new features is added carefully based on feedback.
Backend is based on Node.js and TypeScript. Frontend is running on Angular.
The agreement with the client was that we would first develop an MVP with a suitable set of functionalities. After deploying the MVP, we started further development. We continue to extend, scale and add carefully selected features to the portal based on feedback.

Junglee receives monthly data on thousands of jobs and is not humanly able to process them manually.
We created a new information system from the ground up for the management of part-time jobs, employees, cash flows and their payments, statistics and more.

Company Website and Microsites
CENTRL is an international leader in providing a platform for managing safety regulations and risk management for companies.
We designed the company's website in close cooperation with the client, and together we also solved the technical design. The result is a company presentation based on a very fast, static and secure framework HUGO. We have also created several microsites for the main website.

Economia - Weather Web App
We have created a new web application 'Weather' for web portals of Economia company, which daily brings a detailed forecast with a 7 day view ahead.
Seasonal news are also part of the application - you can verify the occurrence of specific types of pollen or ski conditions in individual ski resorts in the Czech Republic and abroad.

New Modern Corporate and Ecommerce Web Platform
The client’s goal was to create a new modern website based on the WordPress with the ability to edit pages independently using Elementor page builder.
We used WooCommerce platform for the e-commerce part of the website and it’s also connected to the client’s internal systems for orders processing.

Dolní Vítkovice Website Redesign
Dolní Vítkovice is a world-unique industrial complex that is visited by over 1.6 million visitors a year.
There were three separate sites which we decided to concentrate all the information into a single site. It was necessary to design and create a completely new information architecture. For website administration we used Wordpress CMS. We focused on great responsive design and page load speed.

Portfolio of The Veolia Company Websites
Veolia manages more than 500 power networks around the world and supplies for more than 100 million inhabitants.
We created the main website and several other connected websites for the Czech division of Veolia Energy. We also implemented a system for announcing public contracts. We have cooperated in accordance with Veolia's strict security rules.

JLL is continuously investing in digital to keep our services on the top level. We’ve developed a new application, named Jet, with the goal to integrate all major workplace systems and bring the user an unified easy-to-use employee experience in the new hybrid environment.
Our platform integrates with 20+ systems from O365, Google Workspace to desk and meeting room reservation services. Having the platform that integrates all major services enables us to build one rich connected experience for the employees to leverage all resources and tools no matter where they work from.
Moravio has been a key partner in accelerating our development. The world has been changing fast and having a partner who is agile enough is one of the key factors for our success.

A colleague of mine recommended the company based on his previous working experience with Moravio. Moravio reacted fast on our inquires and they started small - with just 2 team members. The team grew naturally as our needs for capacities increased with no commitments needed, so the decision was easy, as there was almost no risk involved.

Moravio team communicates directly with our product manager as a separate feature team. Internal engineering team is involved in reviewing their design documents and occasionaly the code.
Their team is sprinting, demoing and deploying their work every 2 weeks. Their engineers mainly work on node.js / TypeScript backend micro-services.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Moravio had a team of 9 on different areas of the project, including a team lead, frontend and backend developers.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our internal teams were focused on improving the Jet platform and the calendar experience, meanwhile Moravio was able to autonomously develop desk booking Jet skills. They took real ownership of the feature and were able to drive the development independently.

Team lead of the team has a technical background as well as product thinking. He was able to come up with new ideas to streamline the design of features our product manager requested.

Employees as well as management of the company are really passionate about building great products and it shows. They take feedback seriously and they adapt fast.

During one time period, when they had a lot on their plates, they had a tendency to overcommit themselves. It took a few months for them to start pushing back enough to be able to prioritize better.

For what projects/services did your company hire Moravio, and what were your goals?
We hired Moravio to design and develop our company's new website. The goal was to create a website that will be well usable for our target groups and there will be clear and understandable call to action elements. We needed to cover information for all our target groups as potential employees, current employees and customers - print managers and publishing houses. The website was to be implemented in five language versions. The contract also included the design and development of a web application for the 3D presentation of a production line for trade fairs.
How did you select Moravio and what were the deciding factors?
We did a tender. We were looking for a partner for long-term cooperation, someone who comes up with suggestions and ideas, and who is able to guide our ideas in the right direction. Internal referral was also an important factor.

At the beginning, a project analysis took place across all involved departments in the company. We have defined requirements, expectations, goals and acceptance criteria. Then the design was done using a wireframe and the graphic design of the website was created. Finally, the site was developed and deployed. The Wordpress platform is used for web administration. All phases took place in an iterative way so we could see the progress of the project and we could provide feedback on an ongoing basis.

Communication was fast and efficient. The approach was very personal and committed. We used the Basecamp application and emails for all communication. We always had a good overview of the status of the project and we were involved in it. During the project, a demo took place several times. Each demo was used to present larger partial parts of the final result. The result was delivered on time.

The cooperation was very intensive and dynamic. The responses were really fast and all our requests were processed in a short time. We felt that Moravio perfectly understood our ideas and needs.

The team at Moravio helped us develop the project on time. Their resources were as efficient as if we hired someone in-house. It was a big advantage that they used to work with our technology before.
The onboarding was quite fast, and we didn’t have any problems with them. They were a good cultural fit. It was easy to cooperate with them on both the developers’ and business levels. The client perceives the team as a whole, and they were satisfied, relaying positive feedback.

The project was led by a project owner that worked in an agile approach. They deliver on time. For communication, we use Slack and Jira.

Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the exact numbers, but the website traffic was perfect. Since the launch, the site has also been promoted via social networks and the traffic has been satisfactory. The website at that time was very innovative and modern in terms of cultural concept and in comparison with other web presentations of other monuments in the Czech Republic.
This is also evidenced by receiving the Zlatý Erb award in 2018. Special Award of the Minister for Regional Development for the best tourist presentation on the website, Tourist Attraction Category, 1st place.

I have googled 3 vendors in our region with the inquiry. 2 of them replied in a reasonable time. After that I met with both agencies. The key factors were budget, delivery date and references.

We have met with project manager before we signed the contract. This meeting helped us to finish the details of assignment to meet our goals. Right after that we signed the contract and we set up regular weekly meetings/calls to follow the progress.
We discussed the target audiences and the basic structure of the website. After 2 weeks we recieved first wireframes. Moravio came with the first graphic design which we actually liked at the first sight. Then they started to write a brand new content. Once we approved the content and final graphic design they started programming new site. We tested and polished few details and went live on time.

I worked with project manager, UX and graphic designer, programmer, tester and copywriter.

The main goal was to move from an outdated and not fully functional system. That's why we approached Moravio, based on excellent references. One of the main tasks was to move to a user-friendly system that would be less demanding to operate. Another was to improve the UX.

At the very first meeting with the project manager we presented our expectations and agreed on the implementation process. Since we needed to deal with this promptly, the time that was set aside for the implementation was not very long.
Moravio managed this with great professionalism. At the next meeting we discussed the contract terms and then it went very quickly. The first visualization designs came, which we only lightly auctioned. After several meetings we agreed on go live with the possibility of additional changes within the production in the following month.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Project manager - He was always available whan we needed and he could answer all our answers to our questions about the project (time, problems, changes). Lead developer - when we were in need to understand some technical points or to discuse them he was able to help us. A bunch of developers who worked on our project. Testing was in our hands and the hands of project manager.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Feedback from our customers was very positive. The same reaction was by our administrators who spent less time on editing the site.

We had meetings as needed. In the start there was a time we had some regulary meetings. We used BaseCamp for communication.

The whole team had a great focus on the project. Their communication has been straight and transparent. They also came with their own ideas.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
You can always improve what you do, but in the case of Moravio it is not much needed.
