Our revenue had been steady for the past couple of years, and most of it was coming from website bookings. We thought a website redesign could capitalize on that trend.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mojo Media completely redeveloped our website. They analyzed our existing website and ran checks to identify the keywords that would bring us the most user traffic. After implementing that information into the website, they installed a live-chat tool so my team could interact more with our customers. Mojo Media also added a blog and an extra page of company information so customers can get to know more about my company and our team.

I have a close friend who works in web development who didn’t have the capacity to work on my website. So, he posted on an online web design group and got a few responses to the job posting. Mojo Media stood from their competitors, so he passed along their information. I looked into them, saw their reviews, checked their referrals, and decided to give them a try based on their presentation and offerings.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The new pages Mojo Media added to our website have made us stand out from our competitors. It has been about a week since we launched the refurbished website, and we’re getting more traction than before. We used to get 2–3 inquiries a day via the website, but we’re now up to seven, which hasn’t happened since we first owned the business. Mojo Media used the right keywords to capture our market. 

How did Mojo Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Sara was fantastic, and much better than the two companies I’d worked with previously. It was nice to work with a very hands-on business founder. We communicated via online chats and email. Sara was very flexible with scheduling; I could call her as late as 10 p.m., which was beneficial because I am busy running my company during regular business hours. 

Mojo Media was efficient, even when I was behind schedule. Sara worked seven days a week and was very resourceful. She conveyed deadlines for each aspect of the project well — Sara answered my questions quickly and wasn’t afraid to ask her own questions about what I wanted. Overall, she was a positive, professional individual.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Mojo Media was much more involved with my business than the other web designers I’ve worked with; they just wanted my money and gave me generic designs. Sara started the whole project from scratch and tailored everything to my business. If there were issues with the website, she’d address them within 24 hours. Before, it took three days to solve site issues, and we’d inevitably lose customers. 

She kept all of her promises — she stands out from the competition. It was a great experience working with Sara, and I plan to use Mojo Media in the future because they’ve proven they get things done and can communicate well.   

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything for Mojo Media to improve. They were accessible 24/7, did the work, met the timeline, and really thought outside the box to deliver for me. Mojo Media did everything other firms were unable to do. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’d advise customers to give Mojo Media a try! They aren’t as experienced, so we were initially hesitant to invest in their services, but now I’d definitely recommend them.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I worked with one of Mojo Media’s ad specialists, and they created a brand new landing page for me. I didn’t use my main website for that because it was done on Wix — it was easier for us to create landing pages on WordPress. The team handled all the written content and I provided the photographs. Then, they ran a Google Ads campaign for a few months to help me generate leads. 

At present, they follow up with me on our campaign performance. I’m booked up through 2021 so we’ve paused the campaigns, but we’ll start running ads again in mid-January 2022.

I mainly work with one ad specialist from their team.

I received an email of a voucher or coupon for a 20% discount on Mojo Media’s services, and we went from there.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our ad spend has worked out to just under $500 CAD per month, and the conversion rate for our Google Ads is around 17%–18%, which is quite high — I get new leads every other day. In terms of cost per acquisition, I book around 15–16 weddings for every $1,500 CAD spent on ads. 

Overall, I’m 100% satisfied with Mojo Media’s work. The ads have brought in a lot of business for me. They’ve exceeded my expectations, and the team does a great job. 

How did Mojo Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Mojo Media’s project management is great. Everything has been straightforward. Our touchpoints in terms of deliverables are always on time; there’s never any delay or lag in communication. The deadlines that we’ve set have also been met. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is truly straightforward — they don’t fluff. I’ve talked to other companies, and those companies always make outrageous promises. By contrast, Mojo Media goes straight to the point. They tell me what I’ll get and what I can expect. 

Moreover, I know Google Ads well; I just don’t have the time to manage everything. As a result, I know that the team is quite transparent. Given that, I haven’t had any hesitations or worries in terms of working with them. To communicate, we mainly use emails.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. I’ve compared their pricing to some of the quotes I’ve received, and their price is fair — I have no complaints about it and the results of their work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have everything prepared in terms of files, photos, videos, and everything else you need. Then, do your own research in terms of what Google Ads are, how the Mojo Media team works, and what kind of services they provide.

They check up on us throughout the process and whenever they finish a part of the project. Once we agree and say we’re happy, they move on. Now, they manage our web hosting, pay for everything on the renewals, and keep ongoing website management.

We’ve dealt with at least three people from Mojo Media. Two people are on the account doing the work, and they have someone as their intake person. We follow up consistently with them.

We receive inbound calls about our services. They can be from their SEO or word of mouth, but we can’t really tell. However, since 2020, there has been more inbound business and word of mouth. Overall, we’re pretty impressed with their level of service.

How did Mojo Media perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s been pretty good. Their turnaround time was pretty decent on the website, and they didn’t shy away after the work was done. They followed up with us afterward and asked us if we wanted to tweak things — even after we finished the contact, they delivered. Overall, it’s pretty sweet to deal with them.

Additionally, we have someone who follows up with us to see how things are going. We communicate through email, and if we need to do more, I jump on a call with the two developers. They pick my brain to see what we want, then deliver it. I’m not a tech person, but they make it really easy.

Their customer service and customer satisfaction are outstanding. We haven’t used the competition, so we can’t compare and give an honest answer, but our experience with Mojo Media has been excellent.

I’m not 100% sure what they could improve besides doing the work for free. They provide a good service, do the right work, and communicate well.

Contact an employee or a friend who knows the work and can communicate with the technology people on their end to explain your ideas better.

Our company already had an existing website when we took over, but it was not very well done. So, we decided to hire a company that could develop a new site for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mojo Media developed a simple, 5-page WordPress site for us. The site has a home page, which shows the history of our company, a page that shows information about our rates and services, a page for local attractions within the campsite, and a contact page.

We started the project by discussing what I was going for — I provided them with a rundown of our requirements as well as some examples of what I wanted to see on the site. After we established everything, they started building the site.

After they finished developing the site, they provided me with a tutorial to walk me through the steps on how we can manage and maintain it and make small changes on our own. Any changes to the site that I wanted to be made were executed immediately.

Mojo Media’s project management was incredibly efficient. Whenever I had any questions or whenever I needed to send her any relevant information, they would get back to me immediately.

Sara gave me her personal WhatsApp number, so I was able to reach her whenever I needed to and there was no constant back-and-forth through email wherever we needed to discuss something. After that, they came back with detailed ideas that we could integrate into our website, and we provided them with a few pictures from our photo gallery. They then designed our website, and their work involved providing pictures, videos, and content. They also set up our Google My Business page, and they now continue to maintain our website.

Mojo Media delivered a noticeably more modern and polished site that better reflects our firm. The structure and messaging are clearer, the UX is cleaner, and the overall presentation is a big step up from our old website. We also got a firm branding that we’re very happy with.We’ve received good occasional informal comments from those in the industry. Our firm is now perceived better by our customers and other firms we collaborate with in the M&A market. Before the redesign, we heard from some prospective clients that they didn’t go with us because the website looked so outdated. We haven’t heard that at all now since it looks so clean.
