Our company hired Mobee Dick for a comprehensive and complex research
project to diagnose the cultural sector within the Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska
Metropolis (GZM).

Our company is producing dietary supplements. I'm a Product Owner of our e-commerce platform.

For what projects/services did your company hire Mobee Dick?

After we redesigned completely our e-commerce, we felt we need to get some qualitative feedback from real users. As we're still a relatively new company, growing fast, we wanted to focus on new users to check where are our potential wins and current losses. The goal was to have a seamless user experience and raise the conversion.

We knew Mobee Dick from different, previous projects. We felt Mobee is the right partner for the job.

We briefed Mobee on what's the context, what's the goal, who we want to talk to, and they took care of everything else. They recruited users, led the research and prepared a great summary report, with categorized bugs and users' suggestions.

I worked directly with Mobee's Project Manager and 2 researchers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This project showed us what is important for new users who don't know our brand. It allowed us to understand what changes we need to make on our platform in order to help new users make purchase decisions. I consider this project very valuable for the company. And as a result - we worked together with Mobee Dick again, on UX/UI of our website.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team was really flexible and creative. Mobee's Project Manager was marvelous. She made sure we get all the answers and was supporting us and both researchers along the way. I wouldn't be able to connect all the dots without the researchers I've worked with on this project. We discussed the scenario a couple of times and changed it on the go to get meaningful answers to work on in the future.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I really appreciate their openness and the fact that I was able to work with them like I do with my team - they challenged me and navigated to design the best research.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don't see any obvious areas of improvement, their work is of great quality. What I would appreciate in the future would be a quick, raw summary of the research right after it ends. Just a quick e-mail with top 3 ideas from the researchers. We discussed it on a call, briefly, but I had to wait for the report to get all the good stuff.

I'm the Head of UX Center of Expertise of BNP Paribas Bank Polska S.A., the 6th biggest bank in Poland. My team is one of the core teams of the Transformation Departament, my goal is strategic improvement of UX.

Since August 2019, Mobee Dick’s experts have been supporting us in creating a mature UX design team inside the bank that is responsible for delivering UX services in terms of research and design and transforming products to have a strong focus on user experience.

How did you select this vendor?

We knew that Mobee Dick had long-term cooperation with Diebold Nixdorf, with whom they were building a project team on the client's side. For many years Mobee Dick has been substantively cooperating with the SWPS University in the field of User Experience Design postgraduate studies. Having that in mind, we decided that they would be the right partner to develop principles for a new form of cooperation between the agency and the bank. We came with a need and by conducting partner talks we developed an idea tailored to BNP Paribas in terms of the form and method of work.

We have been working on different projects in terms of work scope. Our projects included: creative workshops, business workshops, concept research, ethnographic research, usability tests, expert design reviews (audits), wireframes, prototypes and graphic designs. Mobee Dick supported us in creating a Design System and the company's designers are part of the core team that provides UX services to strategic projects of the bank - including major internal systems and customer-facing apps, both for web and mobile.

There are regularly between 5 and 7 Mobee Dick UX Designers and researchers working with us - on mid and junior levels and we have a good relationship that allows us to ask for extra short-term support in more intensive times.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

During the cooperation that started in 2019, the Mobee Dick team, together with the UX Center of Expertise, as well as managers responsible for various products and services in BNP Paribas, accomplished over 20 projects that not only put the user in the center but also allowed us to optimize and automate the work environment. These included the main claims settlement system, new product concepts, redesign of many loan processes and designing major customer-facing apps.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Mobee Dick employees were part of my core team - so the communication was perfect and I did not differentiate between bank employees and the vendor. Our account manager is very supportive and with senior Mobee Dick designers did a tremendous job in recruitment and support of the team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The level and skills of the people recruited by Mobee Dick is very high - both for juniors and regulars. More than fifteen people rotated through the team - some recruited specially for us - and we had overwhelmingly positive experiences. Any issues that arose were communicated and we found solutions. This and many other experiences built a very high level of trust between our companies and I am very confident about leaving any task to Mobee Dick.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Most of the responsibility lies on our side - Mobee Dick employees are part of my core team so most arise and are resolved on the bank's side. We are very happy with our arrangement and we had two years to iron it out - there are little changes to be proposed for our current cooperation.

within 2 weeks of an audit we been positively shocked from the high level of delivery. we loved the communication with the people at Mobee Dick and the fact that all the insights has been delivered in a super organized and clear way with follow up calls to explain even deeper their findings and tips.

The work they have done in 2 weeks is just superior to anyone else we ever used before.

We have been communicating over zoom calls and on Slack, and they have been super responsive.

Their knowledge, quality of work, and the effort to know the product quickly are impressive. I don't think many other individuals out there would be able to provide.

I am a UX Writer at OLX Group, working for the OLX horizontal. OLX is a marketplace where anyone can buy or sell just about anything, from electronics to fashion items, furniture, household goods, cars, real estate, among others.

I am currently responsible for reviewing and defining the original messages and product copy on the very recently rebranded OLX platforms, as well as for managing localization in 8 different languages.

We hired Mobee Dick to help us with localising the original English product copy into Polish.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Mobee Dick had already been hired to help us on a previous project (Delivery). I had excellent feedback from my colleagues and we decided to ask for their help for the rebranding project.

Describe the project in detail and what their cost structure looked like.

The project consisted in localizing 10 different user flows (all user user journeys), Google Play and App Store description, and a couple of landing pages from English to Polish.

One of our biggest priorities was to make sure the new product copy reflected the new OLX brand's voice and tone. One UX Writer / Content Designer from Mobee Dick helped us with all of these translations.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

How would you describe/assess the quality of their work?

Bartek from Mobee Dick was incredible to work with. He was responsive, met deadlines, made very valid suggestions, and asked pertinent questions. We chatted weekly and I really appreciated the fact that he came to me whenever he had a question about the copy or the context behind a certain flow or screen.

It really proved to me how dedicated he was to this project and I knew I would have nothing to worry about. Even if we did have a very tight deadline for such a huge project, Bartek was always very friendly and very calm, which made working with him a breeze.

The translations were perfectly done with a week to spare, which also gave us the chance to test the copy and make any necessary adjustments.

What impressed you about their services?

What most impressed me was the dedication behind this project. Bartek from Mobee Dick did much more than simply translating - he made suggestions and asked questions.

He very clearly understands this new discipline of UX Writing and its intricacies, which is something that is still very rare to find, especially in languages other than English.

I was also very impressed and thankful with Bartek's willingness to brainstorm, to help out with occasional on-the-spot translations, and to clarify the many intricacies of the Polish language - he even offered us a document that explained the different noun declensions, which is now used by our developers.

Finally, it really impressed me how quickly and easily Bartek learned to use our localisation tool. The fact that he translated directly on this tool saved me so much time.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I would just suggest more frequent status updates, however I only felt this was an improvement to be made at the beginning of the project. As we started working together, we also got in touch more frequently (it really made a very positive difference to have Bartek on our company's Slack) and status updates became more frequent.

Natalia Bienias from Mobee Dick conducted an intense 2-day long training for our team in the field of usability and interface design trends. This instructor was a perfect mix of smart preparation and energetic attitude, top-level knowledge and design skills.

The training was full of insights and tips shared from a practical perspective. Many examples made it really easy to follow and understand the topic. We gained a lot of value and real ideas on how to improve our products.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We not only had acquired new knowledge and methods but also gained new insights that will benefit our everyday work. We can check the usability of our products and verify the services provided by agencies we cooperate with.

The instructor was great! Natalia worked very hard to give to the group the most opportunities and experiences she possibly could. We feel like we had as well-rounded education as we could have asked for given the short time period.

The curriculum was well-structured and well thought out which helped us to think through problems, and actually learn. Natalia encouraged discussion and pushed us to work on small solutions that could be the starting point for further work, beyond the training.

The training program was tailored to our needs. All discussed areas were connected to our products or specific elements of products and services from our portfolio.

Natalia explained, on clear examples from financial or related trade, every presented issue and it easier to transfer some ideas and solutions to our everyday work.

For 25 years, Wtórpol has been one of the biggest companies in the textile recycling, alternative fuel, and cleaning cloth manufacturing industries. What were your goals for this project?

We wanted new branding and fully functional websites.

How did you select this vendor?

Another company created a website that unfortunately didn't fulfill our expectations, so we decided to start the whole process from scratch. After finding other websites we liked, both functionally and visually, we chose them.

The most important and difficult stage was the beginning. After a long interview and detailed workshops, we worked out a new communication strategy and began work on the website. The new strategy showed what we needed and how the new website should look.

Later, everything went smoothly and quickly. They presented nearly perfect designs that required only a few corrections. They heard us accurately and came to the right conclusions. We worked on both websites almost simultaneously, and are still building creative online communication solutions.

There are several people on our team. The team manager supervises everyone, plans each individual stage of our projects, consults with teams, gathers comments, and submits them to our project manager. This cooperation conveniently streamlines our workflow and shortens our task relocation time.

Our website is modern, clear, and consistent with our overall communication strategy. Current and new customers still offer positive feedback about its usability, flow, and appearance. We gained new customers because of those improvements.

Our project manager was competent and organized. We mainly communicated through telephone calls and conferences. The manager guarded deadlines, supervised the flow of information, and implemented every detail of our feedback and expectations.

Mobee Dick was open, creative, and flexible, and their team had interesting and innovative ideas. This kind of cooperation was completely new for us, but they worked with commitment and precision. How did you select this vendor?

We went through a tender process that included Mobee Dick and five other vendors. Mobee Dick won because of their rich analysis, which was supported by mockups and extensive knowledge and experience. Their team seemed to be supportive and strong.

We studied worldwide UI trends and developed many mockups before finally settling on our design theme. Mobee Dick coordinated lab testing and helped us adjust our designs based on their results. We then started an agile development process where we accept newly demonstrated functionalities every two weeks. They handle both software integration and user acceptance testing for every sprint.

Mobee Dick provides a project manager, a UX designer, and a UI designer. We’re also utilizing their usual software development house.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is still in progress, but we believe it’ll be a competitive way for people to buy groceries in our market. We look forward to enhancing it with additional functionalities we’re already working on.

We communicate openly and directly, and both sides are open to the other's considerations and arguments. They turnaround changes quickly and deliver features promptly. While I’d like to have a list of functionalities that can reflect real-time changes, we only have a static Excel document.

Our relationship has benefitted workflow and productivity. The first app they delivered was completed on time and under a tight schedule to the praise of our stakeholders.
