Mira Commerce has built new websites for a long-range projectile manufacturer. The team has onboarded the client with BigCommerce multi-storefronts, customized layouts, and automated transactional emails.
Mira Commerce has helped the client organize their data, benefiting their website development and overall product portfolio. The team has an excellent project manager who holds the client accountable. They also learn about the client's business to identify and provide the most impactful solutions.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of marketing and business development at a manufacturing company. We manufacture high-accuracy, match-grade projectiles for long-range shooting.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Mira Commerce?
At the highest level, we wanted to grow our DTC business. More specifically, we wanted new websites with vastly improved UI and UX. We also wanted to automate some internal processes with our ERP system.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Mira Commerce built our new websites from scratch. They onboarded us with BigCommerce multi-storefronts. We now have new websites, custom filtering, improved layout, automated transactional emails, and custom layouts for PLPs and PDPs.
What is the team composition?
We have around five people supporting the new website building under me.
How did you come to work with Mira Commerce?
We found Mira Commerce through a referral. We had a report with Sergei (CEO), and we liked their portfolio. We liked every site they built and thought they understood what we were interested in the best.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in September 2024, and the project is still ongoing. We’re moving forward in multiple phases and are currently in phase two.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Mira Commerce has helped us lay out all of our data in a manner that not only helps us with our website development but also with our overall product portfolio. It was easily one of the best experiences with an outside service provider I've ever been a part of.
How did Mira Commerce perform from a project management standpoint?
We had very little internal motivation or data in a consolidated manner. Mira Commerce held us to task with an amazing project manager, Ash (Senior Project Manager), with dedicated timelines and action items. Communication is primarily through phone and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Mira Commerce knew nothing about our business but threw themselves into it to learn. They did this to help us identify what would be most important and impactful to our consumers.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing I can come up with.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the global marketing director at a manufacturing company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Mira Commerce?
We needed help with e-commerce and website design and development. We were recently acquired by another company, and we needed to be off our old parent company’s infrastructure within a set period of time. We had to create a brand-new site from scratch.
We wanted to enhance our presence on the internet. Our products are complicated; half of them are off-the-shelf products, and half of them are configured through configurators. We had to go through a lot of variables. Additionally, we needed a fast-paced project.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Mira Commerce has developed our e-commerce platform and has redesigned and developed our entire website. We’ve gone through some exercises with them, and their designers have come back with ideas and thoughts. They’ve helped us with the design and development of our website.
We’ve built the project using BigCommerce and Bloomreach for our CMS, search, and engagement tools. We also use a PIM system called Catsy. We’ve launched the site, but we’re continuing to make improvements. We’re relaunching phase two within the next two weeks. We plan to continue using Mira Commerce for maintenance and improvements.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with around six individuals from Mira Commerce. Sarah is our project manager, and we also work with John.
How did you come to work with Mira Commerce?
We found Mira Commerce through BigCommerce. They were one of the system integrators that they had on their site as a possible partner of ours. I reached out to Mira Commerce after seeing them on the BigCommerce partner portal.
We chose them because of their completeness and dedication to the process. They really understood our requirements and needs. They didn’t say they were going to charge us to give us a quote. They wanted to understand what they were getting into and what was going to happen. We appreciated that they tried to understand the project without trying to make money.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $400,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The quality of Mira Commerce's work has met our expectations. We haven’t seen an increase in sales because we’re not doing e-commerce right off the bat. The e-commerce that we’ve launched is for a select partner group. Sales are difficult to use as a metric, but our visits and exposure have increased. We’ve seen larger numbers than we’ve seen with our other website. Our keyword rankings have increased.
They’ve shown some capabilities that we didn’t even know they had when we first started. We have an outdated ERP system, and we were using another party to do middleware to bring information in and out of the system, and they failed. We didn’t realize that Mira Commerce had the resources in-house to do that. They’ve taken over part of that project as well.
How did Mira Commerce perform from a project management standpoint?
Sarah, the project manager, has been great. She understands our project and everything else, and it’s very easy to work with her. They’ve delivered on time and within budget. We use Jira and Confluence. We have weekly calls and emails. If I need to call Sarah or even John, I can just pick up the phone and call them.
The team started working on the platform in June 2024, and it was launched in January 2025, which is a record time. When we first redid our platforms with our former parent company, it took us about 18 months, and Mira Commerce has completed this project in six months.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’ve never heard the word “no” from them. They’ve said, “Let’s check into that and see what we can do.” It’s been a partnership. They’ve said, “Let’s see what we can do and what we can fit in.”
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they’ve been a great partner of ours.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Let them know exactly what you’re looking for so you get exactly what you need. Be open and honest with them about what you want.

Mira Commerce's work led to a drop in the site's traffic and a 50% drop in revenue, affecting the client's business. The team was unresponsive and refused to take responsibility for the issues. RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Launched a new website on V3 platform
Upgraded to new Cornerstone templates
Improve conversion rates and drive more sales As the project resulted in a 50% drop in both traffic and revenue, with no effective support or solutions provided despite repeated requests. The agency fulfilled the technical aspects of the contract but failed to take responsibility for the negative business impact, offering neither meaningful remediation nor accountability. I strongly caution other business owners, particularly small businesses, against engaging Mira Commerce, as they may not deliver on promised outcomes or provide adequate post-launch support.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Project management was good.
They mainly delivered on time.
We ran into lots of issues at go-live and they were unable to solve the issues in a timely fashion. They ultimately dropped me as a customer because they couldn't resolve the loss in traffic issues I was facing.
What was your primary form of communication with Mira Commerce?
Virtual Meeting
Email or Messaging App
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They win lots of awards and seem to have a great reputation. I was shocked they couldn't solve the issues I was faced with and left me to solve them on my own. While they may fulfill the technical scope of a contract, they do not take responsibility for business outcomes, and their unwillingness to address failures or help clients recover from setbacks is deeply concerning. Prospective clients should be aware that this agency does not always deliver on its promises and may leave you to deal with the consequences alone.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Mira Commerce could have done differently?
I engaged Mira Commerce to deliver a new website for my business, with the expectation of professional execution and measurable improvements in digital marketing performance. The engagement, which cost approximately $43,000 USD, included a migration from BigCommerce V2 to V3, technical and UX optimizations, and other implementation tasks. Unfortunately, the results of this project were deeply disappointing and had a lasting negative impact on my business.
Key Facts and Issues
After the new website launch, my site traffic and revenue both dropped by 50%. This decline was immediate and sustained, severely affecting my business’s financial health. Despite repeated requests for help, Mira Commerce was unable to identify the cause of these losses or provide a viable solution to restore performance. The agency completed the contracted work of delivering a new site but did not deliver any positive business outcomes. Their team acknowledged the technical work was performed as scoped but took no responsibility for the catastrophic business results, attributing them to factors outside their control or to my subsequent site management. Communication and support were inconsistent throughout the engagement. Key personnel were often unresponsive, causing delays and frustration when trying to address urgent issues. When it became clear that they didn’t know how to address the drop in traffic, Mira Commerce chose to end the relationship, leaving me to resolve the problems on my own. No meaningful remediation, refund, or strategic support was offered despite my requests.
Reasons for Displeasure and Caution to Others
Severe Business Impact: The project set my business back significantly, leaving me in debt and struggling to recover lost traffic and revenue. The agency’s inability to troubleshoot or fix the issues compounded the damage. Lack of Accountability: Mira Commerce delivered the contracted work but did not stand behind the business results. Their unwillingness to take responsibility or provide effective post-launch support was unacceptable. This is not what I expect from agency that likes to highlight the awards they win and how great of a BigCommerce partner they are. Poor Communication: Delays and lack of responsiveness from key team members made it difficult to address problems quickly and effectively, further harming my business. No Remediation or Refund: Despite the clear negative outcome and my requests for a partial refund or further support, the agency refused to offer any compensation or meaningful assistance.
Company Responses
The service provider responded on May 22, 2025.
We’re sorry to hear the client was dissatisfied with the outcome. Mira Commerce delivered all contracted work professionally, including a BigCommerce V2 to V3 migration, UX improvements, and SEO-related optimizations.
During this 2023 project, the client made independent decisions outside the scope of our engagement to minimize his spend on ecommerce infrastructure. This included replacing Algolia with a third-party search tool (Convermax) and removing standard category navigation. These changes had a substantial impact on traffic and site performance, implemented without full testing / SEO safeguards.
We provided additional guidance / support beyond the contracted scope, including troubleshooting, recommendations, and multiple working sessions at no extra cost. However, expectations continued to escalate into areas unrelated to the signed contract. These included demands for guaranteed business outcomes, full CRO strategy, and post-launch recovery support that were never part of the engagement.
We did not drop the client. After fulfilling our obligations and attempting to assist further, we recognized that the working relationship was no longer productive due to a fundamental misalignment between Mira’s scope of services and the client’s expectations.
We stand by the quality of the work delivered and our team’s effort to help this client succeed. Website performance depends on many factors, including site management, content strategy, third-party tools, and ongoing operations. These variables are not guaranteed by a technology implementation alone.
We wish the client continued success moving forward.

Mira Commerce has led the backend development of an aviation publishing company's website. The team has built the site on BigCommerce, integrated ERP systems, managed data, and worked on SEO.
Mira Commerce has successfully upgraded the website, increasing traffic and sales for the client. The team has been responsive and communicative throughout the engagement, ensuring an effective workflow despite the project's slight delays. The team's competent and swift approach stands out.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing director for ASA2Fly, an aviation supplies and academics company. We’re primarily a publishing company, and we make books and software to train people who are on the track to becoming pilots. In fact, we provide books and pilot supplies for people on the track to be all kinds of pilots, from private to professional airline pilots.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Mira Commerce?
We have a B2B and a B2C platform, so we needed both of those capabilities available upon login. We also sell e-books and some digital products that require handoffs and some external systems to integrate. In truth, our website desperately needed an upgrade. Basically, we needed help with website development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We've worked with a few different partners, but Mira Commerce has been the leader on this project. They have helped us build our website.
At first, we told them what we wanted and looked at their recommendations. They did much of the backend programming, and we managed most of the frontend. We also had to work with systems that would talk to each other, so we utilized custom fields to ensure we could deliver the information we needed to the right places.
They have used BigCommerce for our e-commerce platform. In turn, we have used Acumatica for our ERP system and an older system called Able to manage some of our data. We also have apps and things that handle digital and physical products and calculate shipping based on whether a physical item has weight. Mira Commerce handles all the transactions we have to do with other services.
We’re also using one of their tools now. They have an SEO tool that I’ve been using to clean up our website and fix broken things. This way, we integrate keywords into our products at the ERP level, which then go into BigCommerce.
What is the team composition?
We've probably worked with 6–8 different people, including graphic designers, architects, project managers, and relations people, who have talked to us and our leadership team. We have also talked to their leaders.
How did you come to work with Mira Commerce?
We talked to Acumatica and BigCommerce about it, and they gave us recommendations. We looked at a couple of other companies, but we felt really confident with Mira Commerce.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in Q1 2021, and it’s ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our primary customers are select customers who have stayed the same. We primarily sell through distribution, so 5% of our sales are end user customers finding people online.
However, our website traffic and sales have definitely increased. Our website is so much easier to navigate now, and we’ve been able to do whatever we want to do. The website has crashed once or twice, but it has been resolved swiftly. The whole team has done a great job.
How did Mira Commerce perform from a project management standpoint?
The cost has been slightly higher than expected and has taken a bit longer. However, Mira Commerce has worked through it with us to the end. I knew it would take longer, so it’s not a complaint. We’re still happy in the end.
Besides, we’re an enterprise-level customer and do development throughout the year. So, we have been using Jira to submit tickets to them. I’m in contact with someone from their team at least every two weeks, if not weekly, regarding things we want further development on, issues we might have, or questions about further development. They have had really good communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have all done a great job doing what we asked them to do. Moreover, Mira Commerce has a great CEO leading them. I’ve talked to him and met him virtually. He does great things and is a very motivational person. He motivates his team and shows a lot of pride in that. I think that’s really key. We’re so confident in him, and his team is competent.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It’s been four years since we developed this website, but I can’t think of anything. We had to learn some of their systems, but that’s not a complaint. I don’t have a lot of things that were hard to work with them on because they have been very responsive. Mira Commerce has employees worldwide, so sometimes there have been time issues. Even then, things have been handled quickly and well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Do your research first and know what you’re trying to accomplish with your website. Let them know about it, and learn as much as possible about all the other systems you must integrate before you start talking with Mira Commerce.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
When I took over the marketing role at DM, we were mid-project on a recommendation feature and continued our contract to help with SEO/Bundling. The product recommendation feature on our site allows us to pair the perfect complementary product with whatever a customer is shopping for — improving the overall shopping experience while also raising our average cart value, all while properly recommending products the customer would still need to shop for. SEO/Bundling was the other major project. Although the bundling project fell through (due to BigCommerce, not Mira), the team stepped up to help with the SEO and AEO project in its place, and we've been happy with the progress and how hands-on the team has been.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We're outperforming last year overall — average cart value has increased, and we're now executing on the fundamentals (SEO/AEO basics) that weren't being addressed before.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Their project management has been strong — they consistently delivered items on time. We have a small team here at DM, and they were patient and accommodating, working on our timeline rather than forcing their own, especially during my transition into the role early on.
What was your primary form of communication with Mira Commerce?
Virtual Meeting
Email or Messaging App
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What's most impressive is how hands-on they are — they're willing to jump in and help even with problems outside their assigned scope. I also appreciate their patience and how easy it is to reach them whenever we need to.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Mira Commerce could have done differently?
The Jira board they operate on can be a bit confusing at first, though it becomes easier to navigate once you spend some time in it. That said, this may also be partly because I was thrown into the marketing role here rather suddenly, without much ramp-up time.
