Saharok is a e-commerce Platform. There are Cart, Galley, Blog, Promotions, Admin Panel, Newsletter. Mifort team built all of them. Firstly all the hosting and publishing services were provided and Web Design was delivered.

After a year we opened the first offline store.

We worked with monthly planning and daily meetings. That way of working fit us the best and was the most effective.

Most impressive was the flexibility in terms of delivery timing. I changed requirements multiple times, but Mifort managed to keep deadlines nevertheless.

My company hired Mifort for creating a web application to schedule the TV programs with different data presentations (interactive charts, lists, tables). The aim was to make it user-friendly and facilitate the work of TV-shows rights holders.

What were your goals for this project?

To provide dynamic, interactive data visualizations for users of our application in order to make the user experience more enjoyable for TV-shows rights holders.

How did you select this vendor?

We started to look for a vendor in Belarus as we heard good reviews on Western Europe specialists. We googled Mifort and a few other companies. We scheduled a call and discussed all our mockups in detail.

Mifort’s developers were passionate for data visualization what was most important for our project. After additional comparison to other belarusian vendors, we’ve chosen Mifort to be our partner in work on the project

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Our application was built by developers in three main parts. The first was a Circle part. Developers created the Tree using D3 library’s Circle Packing chart and added functions like zoom up or up, edit, delete and exclude nodes of the general stream.

The second part was Demographic, VB, Telecast pages. It is a scheme of TV programs. Guys added the following features: add cards within two ways, cancel, filter, create events and etc. These pages are full of diagrams created by frontend developers.

And the last part was Promo Pie pages that shows statics with D3 library’s Sunburst chart. Project Manager manager was good at organising the work within deadlines, writing documentation for users and for us and conducting demos.

Level of Data visualization quality and it’s clearness has grown significantly thanks to the application developed by Mifort. We managed to attract new customers with the new Web app.

I’m satistificated with the work. Project manager was able to motivate the team, so team members was working as a team and therefore the work was very effective.

I was surprised that the Mifort developers are truly passionate about data visualization.

Hire more people with similar skills so they can replace each other when needed.

Mifort got our Mockups, but as these projects always go, we had several changes from our side. Mifort was always very good to handle these changes.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mifort?

We brought on Mifort to perform frontend development on a cloud-based web application that runs on Chrome or Firefox web browsers.

The application would help hardware companies streamline their process workflows and all the data that’s generated during product development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided an online JavaScript template with basic design elements (look and feel) as a starting point. Then, we added our own design input on top of the template to make it our own. Mifort used parts of that design, and they edited or created other characteristics.

The team performed frontend development in JavaScript on the cloud-based application. Their services included building an interface for managing products and the workflow. 

What is the team composition?

When we initially started working with them, we had a developer and a project engineer that performed project management functions.

How did you come to work with Mifort?

We uploaded a small evaluation project on Upwork, received 5–6 requests, and gave it to four development companies. Our bullet list of criteria included work ethic and expertise in JavaScript web-based enterprise applications. We also wanted them to be comfortable writing and speaking in English. We were looking for a vendor that had experience working with Kanban-style workflows. We found Mifort to be a good fit for our needs. 

How much have you invested with them?

Over the three years, we’ve invested between $10,000 and $50,000 with the team. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started engaging with them in July 2016, and it’s an ongoing relationship. Initially, we thought the project would be completed in a year, but we’ve continued adding new customers and new modules.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since we didn’t initially have a robust QA process, I don’t have a lot of metrics on how effective their work was. However, the accessibility of the testimonials on our website serves as a differentiator from our competitors. Also, we haven’t had many regression bugs in the last few years, so it’s clear that Mifort has been on top of their game.

How did Mifort perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very easy to work with, and they go out of their way to help us. We have good relations with their founder Alexey (Co-Founder & Tech Lead, Mifort). He’s a very nice guy. 

When we initially engaged with them, the founder was our project manager. Later, he disengaged and put another project manager in place, and she’s been really helpful. We have daily standup calls, she takes notes where necessary and puts the documentation in Jira.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate that they’re a voice of reason. They aren’t pushovers—they take ownership of the project. They don’t hesitate to offer input if my method isn’t the best way to accomplish something. Also, as we’re a bootstrap company, the team has been understanding about our resource limitations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would have been great if they provided backend development in house. It would make sense for us to consolidate the front-and backend development in one location. They’ve explored this, but I’d like for them to act on it.

Future clients should do their due diligence when choosing a development partner. Identifying a small evaluation project is a good way to do it. I have no hesitation in recommending Mifort, but development isn’t a one size fits all model.

Mifort team figured out everything our previous service provider messed up and got everything in a good spot.

Their project management process was more than perfect. I was able to speak with the project manager on a daily basis, or as often as I needed to.
