I found MarkiTech from my university alumni network. At the start we did some pilot projects together and it turned out to be a good experience. Since then we have collaborated on many projects together. The key deciding factor was their professionalism and transparency of what they can offer.

We had a HealthTech project where we were developing a platform to connect doctors with patients. That product grew and augmented into different offerings. We observed from our user data that Dementia is an area where we get a lot of queries from caregivers. We collaborated with Markitech to leverage their SenSights solution.

There were multiple of the project. First task was to integrate our system with them to collect data. Second part was to prepare a data pipeline which can process high volume of data. The last part was to extract useful information from the collected data suing their AI algorithms.

There were 4 engineers. In addition Director of Engineering was involved along with the CEO.

Using Sensights we were able to process a high volume of data sets, a number in millions. Thousands of patents and care givers used this service with a high percentage of satisfaction rate.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I liked how effective eve. We followed an agile approach. We planned for 2 weeks of deliverables and conducted standup on alternate days.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They had a thorough understanding of AI. They knew what are the right data params to record and what information to extract out of it.

Overall our experience with them was very good.

We are developing a great experience for our frontline staff enabled through a custom mobile application. This journey required partnership with external vendors to bring this vision to live. Goal for MarkiTech was to provide an experience frontend developer who can work with team to develop the user facing components of the application using React.

We reached out to MarkiTech using some prior connections and they brought forward great talent options for this role. The quality of the candidates for this role and professionalism in the approach was the main factor to go with MarkiTech for this project.

The application is built on React Native for Android. It was important for the developer to set up the right foundation. MarkiTech reached out to SHHC (Sandra's Home Health Care) in 2019 looking to pilot their new technology for seniors. They were highly educated in the tech world, but lacked the knowledge of home health care and what was most needed for seniors to stay in the comfort of their own homes safetly.

When the founder Nauman originally reached out to me, he explained his passion for originally developing this technology (A personal story about his son). I quickly realized we shared a similar passion for helping people and quickly agreed to work with MarkiTech on this exciting project.

When I was approached in 2019 about this project we started with an app that would alert a family member if their elderly parent wandered outside of the geofence area that we had set up.

From there, we integrated new technology that captures vitals with an accessory right to your phone. We realized that would be costly to the consumer to have to purchase all the different accessories so with new advancements you no longer need the accessories to capture basic vitals.

Our pilot project was scheduled to commence in March of 2020. Due to Covid-19, that delayed our pilot for 6 months. With the challenges of Covid we refocused and developed a safe to work app that we successfully piloted through the staff of SHHC. With Covid came many more challenges.

From the health care side, we started to see rapid decline in elderly from lack of exercise and stimulation. That prompted us to develop the entire package for seniors to stay safely in the comfort of their own home.

We are currently adding voice activation, exercises, med reminders, memory games, emergency call button, instant access to a doctor, fall detection and much more. the more we collaborated the more we realized seniors have many needs We wanted to create an all in 1 app for seniors.
