Mango IT Solutions has been helping us modernize and rebuild the technology behind Archinect, a long-established online platform for the architecture community. Their work includes developing a new PHP/Laravel-based backend and content management system while progressively migrating and improving functionality from our legacy platform.

Key deliverables have included rebuilding core site features and administrative tools, modernizing the database and application architecture, improving performance and maintainability, integrating search and other supporting technologies, and developing new functionality across areas such as user accounts, profiles, jobs, editorial content, newsletters, and internal administration.

The work is ongoing and involves both major platform redevelopment and continuous maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and refinement as we transition additional parts of Archinect to the new system. Pritesh and Vivek work closely with us throughout the process, responding to detailed feedback and iterating on features as they move from development to staging and production. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

The project is still ongoing, so the full results have not yet been realized. However, Mango IT Solutions has already made substantial progress in rebuilding and modernizing Archinect’s underlying platform. Major sections of the site and administrative system have been successfully migrated to the new PHP/Laravel architecture, and we now have a significantly more modern and maintainable foundation for continued development.

The new system has also made it easier for us to improve existing functionality, introduce new features, address long-standing technical limitations, and manage development through a more structured staging and testing process. We continue to move additional functionality from the legacy platform into the new system, with measurable progress reflected in the growing portion of Archinect now operating on the rebuilt infrastructure.

Their project management has been strong throughout the engagement. We work directly with Pritesh and Vivek, and they provide regular development updates, make new work available for review in staging, and respond closely to the detailed feedback we provide.

Because this is a large, ongoing redevelopment rather than a project with a single fixed delivery date, the work is handled incrementally. Features are developed, reviewed, refined, and then moved forward as they are completed. They are responsive when priorities change, and they are generally quick to investigate bugs, clarify requirements, and make requested adjustments.

Communication has been consistent and collaborative, which has been especially important given the complexity of rebuilding a long-established platform while continuing to operate the existing site.

What has impressed us most is Mango IT Solutions’ reliability, the consistently high quality of their work, and their excellent communication throughout the project. Pritesh and Vivek have become trusted partners who understand both the technical requirements and the broader goals of the platform.

Another major strength is the depth of the wider Mango IT Solutions team. When we need expertise outside the immediate scope of our primary developers, they can bring in additional team members with the appropriate specialties. That gives us confidence that we can address a wide range of technical needs without having to look for separate vendors.

The main area for improvement has been scheduling our weekly Zoom meetings across the significant time difference between India and Los Angeles. Because the team is generally available for meetings only during their regular working hours, our calls need to take place late in the evening in Los Angeles, which can sometimes be difficult for me to accommodate.

Aside from this scheduling challenge, we have been very satisfied with their responsiveness, communication, and overall working relationship.

We have had to switch off Google Ads because our website cannot be used to make a booking because regression bugs have been introduced by the developer who does not seem to hold knowledge of shared components and deploys without any prior regression testing.

• Absence of basic release safeguards.We have previously and repeatedly raised the need for regression testing before deployments. There is currently no automated regression testing, no deployment guardrails, and no peer code review in place. This has directly caused regression bugs, including one currently live that has broken core browse functionality on our homepage, preventing customers from completing purchases through core functionality on our website. We alerted your team to this yesterday and have not yet received a response.
  
  No knowledge is held by their developer as to which are shared components on the website - introducing regression bugs and completely stopping our website from being able to generate revenue.

 Screenshots of customers saying they couldn;'t create a profile so they abandoned the website. This has wasted thousands of dollars of our money.

Are there any areas for improvement?
 I have provided a Release Deployment Regression Test Plan that must be run prior to every deployment. It outlines shared components as well which is the main cause of regression bugs. This another reason why it is critical for Business Owners to remain informed of what handovers and knowledge transfer has been done by previous developers to new developers to ensure that any knowledge gaps are filled. I have asked to video interview the developer several times, last time I tried, he said he didnt have a webcam on his laptop.

It would be great to see a culture of constant Self-learning, drive and curiosity to do things faster cheaper better and more automated. Mango IT Solutions developed a physician locator website with a map of surgeons around the world for patients to locate doctors in their area. They also developed a mechanism to deliver client websites, content driven by my main directory website, yet customizable in appearance and content. This mechanism allowed the admin to set up subscriptions, billing, sponsors, upload new images, and customize the appearance.Mango IT Solutions handled the design, backend development, and ongoing maintenance for these websites for more than a decade.

Mango IT Solutions has reviewed and analyzed our MVP. They’ve provided a project plan and scope to address known issues, QA test, and complete aspects of the MVP that weren’t completed. Once the project is approved, Mango IT Solutions will help us release the app to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The team will also prepare the project server and provide ongoing maintenance. Mango IT Solutions will be our partner to work on future versions of the app.There were many bugs and poorly coded components that didn’t function as expected. At best, we had a shell or outline of an app. One specific example was that no consistent CSS or style was implemented throughout the app. Each page felt unique, with different images, fonts, and layout styles. Mango IT Solutions has provided a consistent CSS for the entire app.
