Mango IT was very organized and highly communicative. They do great work and they work quickly all the while keeping me informed of all progress done with detailed notes on what what they worked on each day. Any time I run into an issue with our website, they are always available to help fix it right away.

They are honest, dedicated to customer service, prompt, and highly capable in web development and custom programming. Their level of dedication to completing work and resolving issues is on another level. You won't find this level of dedication to customer satisfaction with other companies.

I can't think of any.

My company is a small business involved in the plastic card manufacturing industry.

We needed to make a user-friendly site where customers could create their own I.D. cards online by submitting them in a completed form to us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They designed the website and worked on backend development. They developed upload features for logos and they built in drag and drop features for the layout portion of the site. The site was set up as a self-service tool for our ID card line. They used PHP and HTML to program the site, and they used a MySQL database.

What is the team composition?

I worked with one designer and three developers on this project.

I performed a search using Upwork and found them.

We spent around $8,000-$10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working on this project in July 2014 and finished in November of that year. We still keep them on a retainer for bug fixes and other smaller projects.

I don’t have concrete metrics, but all the site functions seem to be working well. We are satisfied with the site internally.

Sometimes they worked past deadlines, but this didn’t happen extensively. Their communication was excellent. We communicated and coordinated through Upwork and Basecamp.

They are reliable. They were always available and were good with details. They went through every request and accomplished the necessary work.

They could be more transparent about the number of hours needed for requested tasks.

Be specific about the project and its details. They'll do exactly what you request, but you have to handle the creative thinking.

How did your relationship with your partner evolve?
Their developer has been more responsive and has been making use of Ai to troubleshoot to continue getting through complex technical hurdles, and showing more initiative in writing much improved communication emails to other parties that clearly outline what the problem is, and who is being waited on to do what.

In what ways can they improve?
It would be great to see a culture of constant Self-learning, drive and curiosity to do things faster cheaper better and more automated. A continuation of responsiveness, making use of Ai, doing whatever it takes to deliver time-critical projects, and platform ownership with regard to making financially sustainable, budget conscious technology decisions.

We had an MVP version of an application that had many issues and didn’t function properly. We needed a skilled partner who could take our MVP to production and help us QA test the product to ensure it would work for consumers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mango IT Solutions has reviewed and analyzed our MVP. They’ve provided a project plan and scope to address known issues, QA test, and complete aspects of the MVP that weren’t completed. Once the project is approved, Mango IT Solutions will help us release the app to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The team will also prepare the project server and provide ongoing maintenance. Mango IT Solutions will be our partner to work on future versions of the app.There were many bugs and poorly coded components that didn’t function as expected. At best, we had a shell or outline of an app. One specific example was that no consistent CSS or style was implemented throughout the app. Each page felt unique, with different images, fonts, and layout styles. Mango IT Solutions has provided a consistent CSS for the entire app.

We’ve had specific project phases with specific due dates and goals. If feedback is provided that has a significant impact on the project, we discuss it and ensure the project stays on task. Mango IT Solutions is awesome at addressing our needs and feedback without significantly impacting the overall project timeline.All our feedback has been addressed to our satisfaction. The app has gone from a useless concept to a functional tool, and we’re on the verge of release. Our core team of four and Mango IT Solutions’ team have provided user testing, and all bugs have been documented and fixed.

How did Mango IT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Mango IT Solutions’ project management is fantastic. They’re always on time. Any delays are on our part or due to third-party response time. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Historically, it’s been frustrating to work with developers. When it comes to acceptance testing, providing feedback or discussing when something doesn’t meet expectations would always cost us more time or money. With Mango IT Solutions, it feels like we have a true partner. We set clear expectations and ensure we’re all aligned — it’s refreshing. I’m excited to continue working with Mango IT Solutions on this and other projects!

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, we’re very happy. We plan to continue working with Mango IT Solutions and expand our level of collaboration with them. Our biggest challenge has been the time zone difference, but we’ve worked around it. Sometimes, video calls and audio have been difficult.
