The scope of work is basically about developing an ERP. This includes:

• module for vendors invoices and the registration of their payments
• accounting module with the corresponding account ledgers
• module for donations and execution of budgets per each one.

Each transaction impacts various modules and allows us to both keep our accounting records and issue reports to donors with the expenses made with the money from donations.

Creating an ERP is not an easy task, especially when we are a NGO and need to have certain characteristics that other white label or generic systems do not have. We started working with the Loop team at a time of many changes for the organization that greatly impacted this common project and they knew how to be versatile and ready to help us.

The willingness and follow-up of the Loop3 team were vital in achieving our goal. It was truly a mutual learning process from which we obtained a tool that simplifies and organizes our daily work and on which we will surely be able to continue building.

The scope of work was divided into a few basic sections. 

• New Sections. This was probably the most time-consuming part of the job. This includes: 
  • creating landing pages for new products
  • sections for legal warnings
  • popups for warnings and customer guidance
  • forms
  • A top bar that spans across the top of the page. This required research on shopify’s internal code and customization service, which is complex without prior experience. New sections must be created by handwritten code to be used on the drag and drop editor. 
• Page Maintenance. This included optimizations in images and unused code, updating promotions and installing apps that help us configure the client store on an easier matter. 
• Apps Installing and configuring applications that help improve the store functionalities or makes customer’s experience better, including: 
  • An app that calculates shipping cost based on the customer’s location, 
  • New applications that let customers subscribe to a monthly delivery for certain products.

Our goal was to launch a big marketing campaign in a very short timeframe (1 month). The deliverables for this campaign included: Setting up a headless infrastructure using WordPress and React. Creating a custom map experience using Mapbox and Data365 to populate a map of California with posts from social media utilizing location and specific hashtags (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter).

Their methodology was extremely thorough and they were always on top of every small detail that came across the project. We had pretty much no involvement on the development of the project other than our weekly check-ins.This helped us greatly to use our time to focus on the marketing campaign as we found a super reliable partner for the development.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Extremely fast response times. You can absolutely tell that every single person on their team is a Senior partner and that they know that they're talking about. Their expertise and suggestions helped us go into the right direction as some things were not clear at the beginning of the project. Loop3 brought a lot of value to the table on that end. The project was delivered ahead of schedule which allowed us to use the website for a whole week to map for unforseen bugs. None were found.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Loop3 could have done differently?

In all honesty, nothing comes to mind. Our experience working with Loop3 was probably the smoothest we've had working with a development agency. Their process and methodology keep getting better and better and that's the main reason why we work so closely together nowadays.
