Please describe your company and your position there.

CardZap is a modern virtual business card management system for sharing contact details. It changes the existing landscape where sharing contacts used to be about giving somebody a physical card. With CardZap, you can share your details for business or socially in a modern, cheap, efficient, and secure way. I am the founder of CardZap. I am involved in pretty much every product, design, sales and key business decisions.

For what projects/services did your company hire Logicwind, and what were your goals?

We hired Logicwind from the inception of the idea, the identity branding, and logo designing. Since then I have also worked with their teams on the UX/UI designs for the product, the website and now also the development of the mobile app.

Having worked with Logicwind on another project and seeing the quality of their deliverables, deciding on partnering with them for CardZap’s designs was an easy and quick decision. Their willingness, skill, cost and existing relationship made it a no-brainer

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

It started with the need to brand the idea. I had developed the initial prototype but I needed a reliable partner to understand the thought process behind CardZap’s concept. I loved the logo, colors, styling that they reproduced and so we decided to go a level up from there and I asked them to design the UI/UX for my app and design a website. During this process, I decided to use the Logicwind team design and develop the mobile app for me.

We started with 1 person from Logicwind's team and at present, we have 5 people working on the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They helped give an identity to my idea through the branding and design. And I’m sure that when it is launched, the response is going to be really good.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

With weekly sync-up calls, using the Kanban-style of task management,. Google Meet, Google Chats, and Clickup were our mediums of choice for communication and coordination tools. We also used email communication a lot which solved many of the potential timezone issues. The group always made sure to deliver on schedule and meet deadlines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Albeit technical skills are their core strength, they understand the pulse of the brand and bring a certain uniqueness and creativity to bring the brand to life. What I like best about the team is that, while they complete the tasks according to our specifications, they are proactive in suggesting solutions that simplify the workflow and yet achieves the intended purpose.

They are transparent in their communication and have an open approach structure where I could deal directly with the relevant person working on cardzap be it for branding, UI or development.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I hadn’t worked extensively with a remote team before and it took some time for me to adjust to it. This wasn’t Logicwind’s problem and they were happy to work around my (somewhat idiosyncratic) development patterns. Having a primary point of contact at Logicwind really helped to tie down the management of the project and keep everything on track. Sometimes code needed to be tidied up and refactored to make it easier to read and understand.

Loop is a mobile application that allows users to split expenses, borrow, lend, request and share money with their friends. Loop assists the user in contacting friends, keeping track of the amounts, reminding everyone when payments are due and handling all the payments within the app when it's time to settle up. I am the CEO and Co-Founder of Loop. I am in charge of key business decisions for the Loop platform, in areas like product, marketing, people and investors

For what projects/services did your company hire Logicwind, and what were your goals?

Logicwind was hired as our technology partner for overall backend and mobile app development. Their team served as an extended product-tech team for us, assisting in the development of our mobile app solution. After the initial launch, the Logicwind team was also instrumental in reimagining Loop's UX and UI and enhancing it based on the users' feedback. The discussions with Logicwind aided in shaping the product's roadmap as well as determining the business and market viability. Our initial goal was to create a user-friendly, secure, scalable app, take it market quickly so we could gather feedback and then enhance / iterate the product to demonstrate product-market fit to our investors

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We reached out to a few IT firms and had multiple meetings to gauge the technological capabilities, quality of work, cost, and most importantly the attitude towards the development approach. What we liked most about our discussion with Nachiket was the logical advice and genuine suggestions he presented about shaping the product. From day 1, his suggestion was to keep the product as simple as possible. He shared our vision of taking the product to market as soon as possible in order to learn from real users' feedback

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The initial scope and key deliverables were the mobile app frontend and backend, APIs, QA and setup of the server infrastructure for Loop. Logicwind were involved in all aspects and key decisions concerning the product’s roadmaps, user flows, functionalities, and overall development. Technologies used: Flutter, node.js, AWS, Figma (for design), ClickUp (for task management and monitoring)

We started with 3 people from Logicwind's. We then grew to a team of 9 people: 5 developers (2 seniors and 3 juniors), 1 QA engineer, 2 designers, and one Business Analyst. We intend to expand further after the next round of funding

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We launched the product on time: in February 2022 We launched version 2 on time: in June 2022 We constantly enhanced version 2 with fortnightly releases since June 2022 Every release was delivered within budget We have had only 1 outage for a couple of hours since go-live

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We managed the project using the Agile methodology. Our CTO led the engagement with Logicwind, with a very structured and effective approach: weekly sprint planning, weekly retrospectives and daily stand-up calls. As a CEO, I attended a weekly Technology Board meeting where all key Technology aspects and progress of the business were discussed. The CTO and I also had a weekly sync-up call with Logicwind's CEO. Google Meet, Slack and ClickUp were our tools for communication, documentation, query resolution and coordination. As a group, Loop and Logicwind shared the same plans, objectives and milestones and - collectively - we all delivered on schedule and with quality

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Two things: First, Nachiket understands start-ups and he knows the ups and downs of the start up world. Days of extreme frustration followed by days of extreme high. Nachiket has seen it many times. Once he believes in the proposition, he takes the long view and is able to resolve any problem very pragmatically. At times, he can act as an advisor, even when you do not expect it. On a more practical level, the team at Logicwind execute the tasks in line with our requirements; however, they are also very proactive and give us suggestions on alternatives, best practices and help us finding the best solution for a feature, functionality or technical challenge

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

After 12 months of work together, the team is stable and the team members know each other and work effectively together. At the beginning, when we were starting to work together, some resources were not as effective as they could have been. They have been replaced and the issues have been solved. That process could have been faster: the methods we were using to identify upfront the correct skillset needed, evaluating performance quickly and swapping people whose skills were not in line with requirements....that process could have been better at the beginning of the project. They've certainly improved after the initial period.

Digital tech service providers are meant to deliver solutions that allow for businesses or individuals to take their minds off the mazy complexities of making technology work for them.

It's in that regard, that Logicwind really stands out. Being a Singapore based startup with limited resources, I was in a quandary having worked with vendors that were overpromising and overcharging, but severely underdelivering. For various reasons they were not providing solutions that were a match for my business needs but trying at every step to slap 'add on' charges to the bill.

And so it becomes imperative to have a tech platform that works well, has design features that enhances the user experience, helps drive your business ideas to fruition and most of all, ACCELERATES THE GROWTH OF THE BUSINESS.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

1) Imrprovement and enhancement of website fucntionality

1) Items were delivered within reasonable time frames. 
2) Communication could have been better in a few aspects. 
3) Overall customer experience was good but has room for improvement. 
4) Developers displayed keen understanding of the tedch problems involved and worked very hard to provide solutions where there seemingly none.
5) My business needs were accounted for and the workflow was targeted at ensuring that the platform was ready to fulfill those needs.

In these key aspects, Logicwind has done very well to deliver. In my specific situation they had to find solutions to work around the problems and limits that come with a legacy platform. And despite it being challenging they found clever and innovative solutions that made it work.

They have room for improvement in certain areas but I'm giving 5 stars because they have displayed the skill and determination to solve complex problems, do it at a reasonable cost and expend extra time and effort to make it possible. So whether you're a SME or a bigger business entity or even an individual seeking out tech solutions. Overall, we highly recommend their services.
