I'm the co-founder & COO of an independent review site for new build residential developments

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Lightflows, and what were your goals?

We had a rudimentary MVP website built in India that we needed to rebuild quickly to take to market. It was a fairly basic website with a number of straightforward databases that needed to look very slick & smart on the front end.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for agencies outside of London, and the Lightflows SEO prowess was evident - this was a key part of vision so we decided to engage with Matt & the team. Matt & the team were able to turn around a detailed quote promptly and explain the steps in simple terms to the non-technical founders. The wire frames produced were good and the roadmap was clear to see.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a kick off meeting to get the ball rolling and then regular meetings to update us on the progress. They maintain a continual level of good communication, which is reassuring. Since delivering the website, we have employed Lightflows on a retained contract to build new features, develop the databases and improve the website.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Matt - MD
	Hannah - Senior Project Manager
	Clare - Project Manager
	Nik - Designer Numerous engineers

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching the website we have grown the business considerably and managed to raise a good level of funding.. Our traffic to site has gone north of an nauula run rate of 1m unique visitors, we have generated 35,000 reviews and signed 40 clients.

Please include a summary of key deliverables. Our organization would like to build a completely new website for its business, moving away from our current websites which are very templated and event-focused and towards a more news-style, multimedia website built on a CMS-focused platform.Must-have requirements:  Easy to alter the site elements / drag & drop functionality for our team, no coding required Google Tag Manager code able to be easily implemented across the whole site The project must deliver a news-focused website with a dynamic feel and engaging design  Event website elements and branding must be migrated from our current event websites and set up as microsites with subdomains under the main website URL. Event websites still need to have key elements such as sponsor catalogues and speaker lineups  Event information and content must also be easily accessible and visible, alongside and/or integrated with the main website content  The website must be able to host multimedia content seamlessly – podcasts, videos, photos, PDFs, articles, etc. on the main content pages as well as the event microsite pages  The website must be able to host embedded Pardot forms (iframe) & YouTube videos  The “hub” part of the website must display new, dynamic content on each visit so that users are not shown the same thing(s) each time they visit  Upon visiting the site, users must be shown recommended content based on their behavioural history on the site and any profile metadata SEO optimisation for people to find event microsites directly if they have searched specifically for that event or certain keywords. This is particularly important since our clients would currently find our individual event websites directly by searching their event name, so this user journey should not be broken  Tracking engagement for reporting and analytics is essential, both for optimisation and measuring success of the project: Video plays, video completion and play-through percentages, total watch time, article reads, scroll depth, lead generation, drop offs, most effective content recommendations, ad impressions and click throughs, pop-up views and click-throughs, most engaged user segments, bounce rate, average on-page/read times, comments and likes. Metrics such as page views and unique users among others may be covered by GA4 integration, but anything above which cannot be covered by GA4 should be tracked by the site and available for us to report on All applicable CIS Benchmarks must be used and followed  All OWASP guidance should be followed for web application security including the Top Ten Training and ongoing support for our team for the new CMS platform and website

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**

**The Review** — Aug 29, 2023

**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to Lightflows, the client has tripled their bookings and customer calls. Their website now has better SEO performance and design. The team has been knowledgeable and implements a solid digital strategy. They’ve been able to challenge the client’s ideas while also delivering great results.
"“Their members know what excellence looks like, and they strive to achieve that.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the VP of marketing at Elements.cloud. We’re a software technology vendor that operates within the Salesforce community and ecosystem.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Lightflows? We hired Lightflows to redesign our website. Our team wanted to develop our brand and positioning within the ecosystem, and we needed a website that would reflect that. The Lightflows team was tasked with creating a website for communicating who we were and what we did.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Lightflows initially came up with the website’s design and strategy, helping us articulate our core values and messaging. They challenged us to think from a business point of view. Through their expertise, we honed in on content that could drive engagement within our community. This was part of modernizing our marketing efforts. Lightflows built the site’s frontend on WordPress and worked on our SEO needs.  For the website’s design, Lightflows came up with the design elements, and we picked the ones that we liked. We then came up with different website layouts and worked on colors. They came up with ideas around our color schemes. When I was ready to move forward with a specific scheme, they implemented it across the entire website. At present, we’re still working with Lightflows. We’re planning to use their support for our PPC and go-to-market strategies, which we’ve started doing in-house. Since we’re quite limited in terms of people, we’re going to use the team’s help. Moreover, they’ve set up our website on Google Analytics to review data and see how the site is performing in terms of engagement.Furthermore, we’ve also started to tweak our technologies to eliminate any holes that we might not be seeing. For instance, Lightflows has helped us use HubSpot within our website. This way, we get richer access to data and understand who is connecting with us. We know where they’re from and how often they see our page. We can then start connecting with them and have a meeting. Lightflows has also supported me on some tactical projects. For instance, when we’re hosting an event, they help me design the stand to keep it aligned with our website’s design. This way, everything comes together and has a cohesive look and feel. We continue engaging them on a retainer basis for our website and blogs. We’re constantly trying to tweak our message to connect with the right users and buyers. What is the team composition? Our team has access to three teammates from Lightflows, namely Matt (Founder & Managing Director), Nick (Lead Designer), and an account manager. The account manager hosts our meetings and works with their development team to make what we want happen. How did you come to work with Lightflows? We found the team via a recommendation. One of our founders worked with another company as an adviser, and Lightflows worked for that company. We chose them over their competitors because of their previous experience. They’d worked in the financial services industry before, so we had the confidence that they’d done something as complex as our project. How much have you invested with them? We’ve invested around $100,000. What is the status of this engagement? The project started in August 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We’ve seen an uptick in bookings and calls from customers because we now have a better website and SEO. Specifically, we’ve tripled the number of meetings we have with clients in a week. Overall, Lightflows has a firm strategy idea in place. The team has concrete knowledge and can support what they’re saying, so it’s helpful to have them. We feel we’re in good hands. How did Lightflows perform from a project management standpoint?Their project management skills have been great. They’re always trying to help us in a manner that matches our working style. For communication, we have weekly meetings in which we go through updates on what we’ve done, what we’re waiting for, and what’s happening. We use Zoom for that, and their team uses Asana to manage the engagement. For deadlines, they’ve been able to turn tasks around within 24 hours. They’ve met tight deadlines, and I truly appreciate that. What did you find most impressive about them?Lightflows truly knows their work. They’re knowledgeable and data-driven. Their members know what excellence looks like, and they strive to achieve that. Moreover, they’re not afraid to challenge us — customers aren’t always right. I have great confidence in what they’ve delivered and what they’ve been sharing with us. On top of that, they don’t mind teaching us, which is good because our team likes to learn how everything works. The Lightflows team has been good at helping us with this. Are there any areas they could improve? No, there aren’t any. Everything has been great and positive. Do you have any advice for potential customers?Be open to Lightflows’ suggestions; don’t be close-minded. Even if you have specific ideas on how things should be done, you still have to be open to the constructive feedback that might come your way. Any feedback they give comes from their knowledge and experience, and that’s why they try to challenge their clients on certain things. Simply put, trust them because they know what they’re doing. Try to listen to them instead of just telling them what to do.

**The Review** — Sep 21, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The client was happy with the app that Lightflows developed. The app has processed hundreds of valuations and increased revenue. Their UX design skills were impressive, and the team required little guidance from the client.
""They were very spontaneous and creative."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a creative director at Weybridge-IT, an IT firm.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Lightflows?

We needed help with app creation for one of our clients.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed an iOS and Android e-commerce app. It was a completely fresh innovation from the client. They’re a pawnbroker and wanted to be able to send valuations through the app. Customers can also make offers for items.

They also did online e-commerce integration with WooCommerce.

What is the team composition?

There were 3-4 people.

How did you come to work with Lightflows?

I wanted somebody local with experience in WordPress. We spoke to a number of vendors. We chose Lightflows for their knowledge, innovation, and affordable pricing.

How much have you invested with them?

Our client paid them directly, but the project cost about $25,000-$35,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from mid-2018 until February 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They were very innovative. They didn’t require much feedback from us in terms of how to make the app look good. They were very spontaneous and creative. The initial release looked great. We didn’t really need to do too much cosmetically to it. That was a very good plus.

There are hundreds of online valuations that have gone through. It’s another stream of revenue that comes in through the app store. There are lots of loans and interest generated for our client. There are lots of newly registered users on the e-commerce site. It’s been a very positive experience for the client overall.

How did Lightflows perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated a couple of times per week. In the beginning, we had much more communication. The innovation side of the project was very good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The UI/UX of the app was most impressive. It was thoughtfully designed and very slick. We showed them somebody else’s app as a reference, and it ended up looking far better than that. They came up with the look, feel, and functionality.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we’re happy. The initial problems weren’t their fault as the client kept changing the specifications.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a really clear idea of what you want the app to do and what your goals are. How you want the app to be tracked is important as well to make it measurable and to make sure you’re getting sales and leads through it.

## Portfolio & Awards

### 123sheets FinTech Experts Software Development
Founded by entrepreneurial accountant Peter Hamilton, 123sheets bridges the gap between bookkeeping and the HMRC filing system. After developing an in-house prototype in .NET, he turned to Lightflows to deliver quality in the software's design and front-end interface.
As they already had technology in place, we provided the 123sheets team with a component-based set of HTML templates using a CSS-compatible language that they could refer to as a digital style guide for new pages and interfaces whenever they wanted to develop the product further.
The 123sheets product is a prime example of entrepreneurial success, identifying a gap in the market and fulfilling it by creating software that satisfies the target consumer. Users of the application have left many testimonials sharing their experience, with the general sentiment surrounding ease of use.

With their big ambition to own the most loved website in the travel industry came big expectations for us to build the most advanced website for travel experts.
Collaborating closely with Expert Africa’s MD, internal marketing team and external partners, we created a comprehensive yet effortless experience, transforming decades of travel expertise into a valuable resource for adventurers.

### HomeViews Streets Mobile App Development
After the success of their first minimal viable product (MVP), the HomeViews founders asked us to help develop HomeViews Streets. While HomeViews lets you learn what it’s like to live in certain developments, HomeViews Streets tells you what it’s like to live in a particular area.
To create a seamless user experience, we built the backend on Laravel and the frontend on React Native. On the site, users evaluate a set of components – i.e. location, community and transport – to assist homebuyers in making their decisions.
With their entrepreneurial eye for finding market gaps, it was a given that HomeViews Streets would take off. The platform provides a great source of information from reliable sources – residents themselves – and greatly complements their initial product.

### Gama Aviation Custom Portal Development
With a diverse client base of high-net-worth individuals, Gama Aviation wanted a software solution that improves client relations by surfacing information and insights internally.
An in-depth discovery phase helped us design an easy-to-use, versatile system. We used various API integrations to capture data from multiple systems, real-time flight information and local data for customer convenience.
Despite the large technical and logistical considerations required, our design and UX team created a seamless experience in keeping with the high-end Gama Aviation brand whilst meeting the needs of numerous stakeholders.

### App Development for Leading Arts University UCA
When UCA (University for the Creative Arts) – one of the UK’s leading creative universities – wanted to create a virtual counterpart for its annual graduation show amid the COVID-19 pandemic, they asked Lightflows to use their technical and creative expertise to help make it happen.
With such a diverse line-up of courses, the virtual graduation needed to support a plethora of pieces. From videos to PDF files, we developed an application that could house content on a huge scale without compromising performance.
The UCA virtual graduation experience had the potential to showcase the success of its graduates to a global audience, giving the university a practical, ready-to-use alternative to an in-person show which not only would have been challenging to hold safely, but would not have as wide a global outreach.

### Brookworth Homes Luxury Developers Marketing Site
Luxury property developers Brookworth Homes approached Lightflows to help redesign and reconstruct their own online home. Previously running on Contentful and having a minimal colour scheme, we took the site from limited to limitless by transitioning to Laravel and expanding their brand palette.
To represent the exceptional living experiences they offer, our talented designers gave the brand a more luxurious feel. Our mobile-first approach also informed our development team to add several interactive features to modernise the brand experience.
Our recreation of Brookworth Homes’ online home presents a deluxe brand experience. The team are delighted with their new digital product and excited for their customers to continue to engage with the interactive elements.

As with the website, a priority for this project was to create a seamless user journey.
The app is accessible to both regular users keen to try fine dining and loyal customers subscribed to the Luxury Restaurant Club. To extend the luxury experience for its members, we made accessing membership benefits via the app as smooth as possible by optimising location technology.
With both the website and app now in full swing, Luxury Restaurant Guide is only forecasted for continued success. There’s no denying that they both ooze luxury in their design, offering and user experience, especially the app, which club members have already shown appreciation for.

To achieve these goals, we redefined Hallmarq’s SEO strategy, brand image and user experiences. We also developed a valuable, lead-generating MRI profit calculator for clients to understand how much they can save using Hallmarq’s services whilst still receiving premium quality.
By developing a clear SEO strategy, a detailed design brief and clever lead-generating tools, we delivered a beautiful new site that showcases Hallmarq’s variety of veterinary solutions and reached the US audience quickly.

### Prestige Pawnbrokers E-commerce App Development
As featured on Channel 4’s docuseries Posh Pawn, Prestige Pawnbrokers are an asset finance company founded by Entrepreneur James Constantinou with several locations in London and South East England. Always looking for ways to improve his business, James had an idea for a mobile app and approached Lightflows for development.
To deliver the complete FinTech experience, we allowed customers to receive valuations, book appointments and even shop via the app as they would in-store. Not only can they upload photos of possessions they would like valued, but they can shop for their favourite luxury brands, including Rolex and Chanel, among other great features.
An app that complements their website was an excellent move for Prestige Pawnbrokers, with customers enjoying the store experience in the palm of their hands. The app is available on both the Apple and Android stores and has succeeded in both formats.

### Luxury Marketing Site for Luxury Restaurant Guide
As *the* online destination for fine dining, Luxury Restaurant Guide needed to ensure that their product catered to every diner, old and new. Therefore, they asked Lightflows to help replenish their platform and refine their menu of services.
Putting customers at the heart of the process, we translated their large luxury guide and comprehensive membership programme into a compact, cohesive experience supported by clean, elegant branding with impactful photography and design.
The new Luxury Restaurant Guide experience was launched amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a difficult time for the entire hospitality industry. Still, initial signs were extremely positive, with the team reporting growth in traffic, page views and returning visitors.

### 67 Pall Mall TV App Development for Wine Lovers
Specialising in offering one of the world’s largest selections of fine wines, 67 Pall Mall spotted the need for a place where customers could watch and learn about their beloved beverage. So, they turned to Lightflows to help create 67 Pall Mall TV: a TV channel dedicated to sharing wine and food content.
From linear and live streaming to catch-up and on-demand, the platform supports multiple ways for members to keep up with their favourite wine connoisseurs. In developing the product, we decided to espouse the familiarity of typical streaming services – but elegantly.
Since its launch in April 2021, 67 Pall Mall TV has been a hit, with one customer sharing that it’s already their favourite channel. Our design and development efforts have contributed to the channel’s overall success, and we're excited to watch the channel mature like fine wine.

### The Supervet Documentary Marketing Site
Noel Fitzpatrick is The Supervet. His fly-on-the-wall documentary is a massive hit with pet lovers all over the globe.
To coincide with the second season of The Supervet TV Show on Channel 4, Lightflows produced an easy-to-use, content-managed website.
The show attracts many viewers per episode and the website receives massive amounts of traffic. Lightflows consulted and put in place the necessary architecture to handle the high volume of website traffic throughout the shows.

### HomeViews Property Tech Review Platform
How do we know what it's really like to live somewhere? The only people who know are the people who live there.
Choosing a new home is one of the biggest decisions we ever make. But, before HomeViews, there was no single place to read reviews specifically about a property, new homes or developments. So, Lightflows teamed with HomeViews to build this solution. The results have been spectacular.
HomeViews is the fastest growing property tech startup and the UK’s first independent review website for the property. Its mission is to share valuable insights about residential developments to support homebuyers in making that decision.
As the sole technology partner for HomeViews, we've built the business from MVP right through to 150,000+ monthly users.
