123sheets FinTech Experts Software Development
Founded by entrepreneurial accountant Peter Hamilton, 123sheets bridges the gap between bookkeeping and the HMRC filing system. After developing an in-house prototype in .NET, he turned to Lightflows to deliver quality in the software's design and front-end interface.
As they already had technology in place, we provided the 123sheets team with a component-based set of HTML templates using a CSS-compatible language that they could refer to as a digital style guide for new pages and interfaces whenever they wanted to develop the product further.
The 123sheets product is a prime example of entrepreneurial success, identifying a gap in the market and fulfilling it by creating software that satisfies the target consumer. Users of the application have left many testimonials sharing their experience, with the general sentiment surrounding ease of use.

HomeViews Streets Mobile App Development
After the success of their first minimal viable product (MVP), the HomeViews founders asked us to help develop HomeViews Streets. While HomeViews lets you learn what it’s like to live in certain developments, HomeViews Streets tells you what it’s like to live in a particular area.
To create a seamless user experience, we built the backend on Laravel and the frontend on React Native. On the site, users evaluate a set of components – i.e. location, community and transport – to assist homebuyers in making their decisions.
With their entrepreneurial eye for finding market gaps, it was a given that HomeViews Streets would take off. The platform provides a great source of information from reliable sources – residents themselves – and greatly complements their initial product.

An in-depth discovery phase helped us design an easy-to-use, versatile system. We used various API integrations to capture data from multiple systems, real-time flight information and local data for customer convenience.
Despite the large technical and logistical considerations required, our design and UX team created a seamless experience in keeping with the high-end Gama Aviation brand whilst meeting the needs of numerous stakeholders.

App Development for Leading Arts University UCA
When UCA (University for the Creative Arts) – one of the UK’s leading creative universities – wanted to create a virtual counterpart for its annual graduation show amid the COVID-19 pandemic, they asked Lightflows to use their technical and creative expertise to help make it happen.
With such a diverse line-up of courses, the virtual graduation needed to support a plethora of pieces. From videos to PDF files, we developed an application that could house content on a huge scale without compromising performance.
The UCA virtual graduation experience had the potential to showcase the success of its graduates to a global audience, giving the university a practical, ready-to-use alternative to an in-person show which not only would have been challenging to hold safely, but would not have as wide a global outreach.

Brookworth Homes Luxury Developers Marketing Site
Luxury property developers Brookworth Homes approached Lightflows to help redesign and reconstruct their own online home. Previously running on Contentful and having a minimal colour scheme, we took the site from limited to limitless by transitioning to Laravel and expanding their brand palette.
To represent the exceptional living experiences they offer, our talented designers gave the brand a more luxurious feel. Our mobile-first approach also informed our development team to add several interactive features to modernise the brand experience.
Our recreation of Brookworth Homes’ online home presents a deluxe brand experience. The team are delighted with their new digital product and excited for their customers to continue to engage with the interactive elements.

Luxury Restaurant Guide Mobile App Development
After collaborating to develop their new and improved website, Luxury Restaurant Guide reached out to Lightflows to build a beautiful new app for finding excellent gourmet recommendations for eating in, dining out or at special events. As with the website, a priority for this project was to create a seamless user journey.
The app is accessible to both regular users keen to try fine dining and loyal customers subscribed to the Luxury Restaurant Club. To extend the luxury experience for its members, we made accessing membership benefits via the app as smooth as possible by optimising location technology.
With both the website and app now in full swing, Luxury Restaurant Guide is only forecasted for continued success. There’s no denying that they both ooze luxury in their design, offering and user experience, especially the app, which club members have already shown appreciation for.

By developing a clear SEO strategy, a detailed design brief and clever lead-generating tools, we delivered a beautiful new site that showcases Hallmarq’s variety of veterinary solutions and reached the US audience quickly.

Self-Learn Read and Spell App and Game Development
Self-Learn Read and Spell is a programme that aims to help severely dyslexic children learn to read and spell. Lightflows were approached to help modernise the programme.
We created the programme on Unity and re-engineered the entire backend system using Laravel Nova. As a web application framework that provides structure, Laravel Nova helps schools and teachers review pupils’ progress easily.
By transforming the platform to new technologies, we successfully created a footing that will continue to support SLRS and its users for years to come.

Prestige Pawnbrokers E-commerce App Development
As featured on Channel 4’s docuseries Posh Pawn, Prestige Pawnbrokers are an asset finance company founded by Entrepreneur James Constantinou with several locations in London and South East England. Always looking for ways to improve his business, James had an idea for a mobile app and approached Lightflows for development.
To deliver the complete FinTech experience, we allowed customers to receive valuations, book appointments and even shop via the app as they would in-store. Not only can they upload photos of possessions they would like valued, but they can shop for their favourite luxury brands, including Rolex and Chanel, among other great features.
An app that complements their website was an excellent move for Prestige Pawnbrokers, with customers enjoying the store experience in the palm of their hands. The app is available on both the Apple and Android stores and has succeeded in both formats.

HomeViews Property Tech Review Platform
How do we know what it's really like to live somewhere? The only people who know are the people who live there.
Choosing a new home is one of the biggest decisions we ever make. But, before HomeViews, there was no single place to read reviews specifically about a property, new homes or developments. So, Lightflows teamed with HomeViews to build this solution. The results have been spectacular.
HomeViews is the fastest growing property tech startup and the UK’s first independent review website for the property. Its mission is to share valuable insights about residential developments to support homebuyers in making that decision.
As the sole technology partner for HomeViews, we've built the business from MVP right through to 150,000+ monthly users.

iOS/Android E-Commerce Dev for IT Company
"They were very spontaneous and creative."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a creative director at Weybridge-IT, an IT firm.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lightflows?
We needed help with app creation for one of our clients.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed an iOS and Android e-commerce app. It was a completely fresh innovation from the client. They’re a pawnbroker and wanted to be able to send valuations through the app. Customers can also make offers for items.
They also did online e-commerce integration with WooCommerce.
What is the team composition?
There were 3-4 people.
How did you come to work with Lightflows?
I wanted somebody local with experience in WordPress. We spoke to a number of vendors. We chose Lightflows for their knowledge, innovation, and affordable pricing.
How much have you invested with them?
Our client paid them directly, but the project cost about $25,000-$35,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from mid-2018 until February 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They were very innovative. They didn’t require much feedback from us in terms of how to make the app look good. They were very spontaneous and creative. The initial release looked great. We didn’t really need to do too much cosmetically to it. That was a very good plus.
There are hundreds of online valuations that have gone through. It’s another stream of revenue that comes in through the app store. There are lots of loans and interest generated for our client. There are lots of newly registered users on the e-commerce site. It’s been a very positive experience for the client overall.
How did Lightflows perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicated a couple of times per week. In the beginning, we had much more communication. The innovation side of the project was very good.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The UI/UX of the app was most impressive. It was thoughtfully designed and very slick. We showed them somebody else’s app as a reference, and it ended up looking far better than that. They came up with the look, feel, and functionality.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we’re happy. The initial problems weren’t their fault as the client kept changing the specifications.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a really clear idea of what you want the app to do and what your goals are. How you want the app to be tracked is important as well to make it measurable and to make sure you’re getting sales and leads through it.
