What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

LiftUp has provided us with great developers, and we’ve built a strong relationship with them. We’ve measured success by reviewing the team’s availability, which has been great. We’ve also reviewed the number of bugs we’ve encountered, which is very low. Overall, the team has developed features according to our specifications. 

How did LiftUp perform from a project management standpoint?

LiftUp has consistently delivered good quality work within our desired time frame. We’ve communicated with the developers via Slack and met with the team leads via Google Meet. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The LiftUp team is very professional and proactive, which sets them apart from other service providers. They constantly take the initiative to call me and make suggestions to improve our development process and delivery time. They’re very invested in our partnership and care deeply about executing high-quality work.

I’d love it if they could find more developers because we need them.

We wanted two new websites, one an inforamtion site, and one an ecommerce site to sell product. We asked |Lift-up to help and throiugh collaboration where we both got to know each others business, the end result was delivered and was exactly what we required.

We selected thsi vendor based on word of mouth. We had an inital skype meeting where we were impressed by the level of knowledge and understanding of our business once ve we discussed the projects. It was made easier by the fact a lot of LiftUp employees spoke and could write excellent English.

We agreed time frames for completion of stages of work. We started with the ecommerce site, and time scales were always met. Communication was great, with regular updates. Liftup developed a unique feature for our website. It was something that hadn't been done before but they embraced the challenge and made it happen.

Across the years we worked together we worked with approximately 5 or 6 employees, depending on skill set for a particular piece of work. However, we always had one senior point of contact.

We often made changes to the sites as the business changed, or evolved and were alwasys happy with the results.

At the time we used redmine as a tool for agreeing project work. We could both see where the project was up to, what was outstanding, any questions that needed addressing etc. We had regular skype or phone calls. Always available on email.

The way they always embraced a cahllenge. Always tried to find a fast solution for time critical events.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At the time we were very happy with all aspects of the work.

I am president of a Christian non-profit, Sammy Tippit Ministries (STM). We specialize in teaching and training leaders globally.

LiftUp created a platform for us to train leaders in the Digital Bible Institute. We wanted to create an educational platform that could cross borders and language barriers. We wanted it to be practical and would have accountability in practicing the truths that would be learned.

STM discovered them through Emanuel University in Oradea, Romania. They have done work with Emanuel, a highly respected school. We selected them because their proposed approach to the project was systematic and logical. Also, they understand cross-cultural issues that we need to deal with.

We had several interviews with their team concerning our objectives and uniqueness. They then provided a project manager. We then took steps to implement the project. We began with the big picture and kept working until we fleshed out all the details.

There were three primary persons who formed the team - the CEO, the project manager, and myself. Then there were numerous others who interacted with us as needed - everything from engineers to graphic design personnel.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

LiftUp Solutions finished the project in a timely manner, which was greatly appreciated. We had very few issues during the process. We are now in the process of launching a beta test group. Everything is in place and working as we had hoped.

We had regular communication with LiftUp throughout the process. It was a joy to work with them. We met biweekly - sometimes weekly. That enabled us to complete the project on time. I am thrilled with the consistent and thorough work.

I felt that they were invested in our success. They wanted this to work as much as we did.

I am pleased with everything they did.

The scope was to develop a hybrid, easy-to-use health consumer app for older adults. LiftUp Solutions took care of the development and also had a consulting role in the project. Key tasks and deliverables of LiftUp were:

• Development of main navigation structure.
• Voice control.
• Avatar divided into selectable body sections.
• Proposal for secure communication and data transfer.

A project manager ensured that we would get access to all needed staff resources and that everything was done to our satisfaction. A designer helped to transfer the wireframes into a modern and accessible design. The main development work was done by one very experienced senior developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since the research project is still ongoing we have no shareable outcomes yet. But we were very happy about the progress we already achieved in a very short time period. Especially the included staff developed a deep understanding of the scope of the project and our needs. Our expectations were clearly exceeded.

The project manager and developer were very easy to communicate with and provided meetings and updates whenever we asked for them within 24 hours. We had video calls, emails, and phone calls. Everything was delivered in time. The needed resources were communicated transparently.

We were impressed by the professional way they provide services and how they guide their customers with expertise. They help to bring the App concept to a higher level.

Copil Creativ - ( translated Creative Child) uses tools for children to help them develop emotional intelligence, self-confidence, food intelligence, entrepreneurial thinking, as well as create a healthy lifestyle. I am the Founder of the company.

I created a children's book with stories about empathy. I needed LiftUp’s assistance to develop an application for Android and IOS and animations in augmented reality for the book. The application would allow children to see 3D scenes where the characters from the book came to life.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I chose to work with LiftUp because I knew Marcel, the team manager. I knew that Marcel is a serious person, and I knew that if he is like that, his whole team is like that. I met the team in the first online meeting and saw that they were very creative and hardworking.

The scope of work was to create an application on Android and iOS with five 3D animations made in augmented reality, where children can see 3D scenes with Isa, Carla and Amos feeling alive, talk and laugh together, and play interactive fun minigames. The 3D experiences are enabled by scanning 5 special pages from each volume.

Project steps: I presented the team a pdf with augmented pages, how I see the interactions and then the LiftUp team came up with a timeline. They created the 3D characters, the application design, the skeleton of the application, implementing in parallel the UI and the five 3D environments. The next step was to integrate the five 3d experiences into the application, as well as the music and the voice, the dialogues and the animations. It followed the testing part and when it was finalized, The team prepared the materials for stores and online.

The book is not yet released, so I cannot talk specifically about the project results. But I can say that when I was in the testing stage, I gave the book to the children to try to play with the App, and they were delighted! The technologies used are:

The AR children's book and the App have not yet been officially launched, so I do not have specific data, however:. The application is ready to be launched in both Apple and Android application stores, allowing for a broad reach of users. The LiftUp team created a system that allows for complete customization. And because it's all in 3D, it looks just like children's real-world surroundings. The project was finalized 20% faster than the initial project timeline by a team that covered 3D art, design and user experience, programming, and project management

They are well organized, and quickly come up with a timeline for the project which they finalized earlier than expected. The communication was very smooth and every time I sent an email, a person from the team answered me as quickly as they could.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

During the collaboration, the team always tried to solve any problem that arose along the way. Not only that, but they always came up with new ideas that added value to the project. I liked working with the team because they never told me that ''it's not possible'', but always said ''We'll find a solution!''.

I’m a senior developer of CloudStuff Ltd, a SaaS company responsible for developing a product that helps connect carriers with customers in various ways, integrating with various third parties.

What challenge were you trying to address with LiftUp?

Our main challenge was finding the right resources to complete some specific deadlines related to product development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

For the last two years, LiftUp has provided us with web UI developers and QA engineers to help us with our product development. These resources collaborate with us to help us develop new features based on the documentation we provide them with and our requirements. In general terms, our requirements are for them to use design and development best practices while simultaneously making their work easy to understand for the rest of our team.

Our engagement is really simple; whenever we require a new resource, we contact Marcel (Co-Founder & CEO) directly and provide him with our requirements. Then, LiftUp sends us the candidates, and we assess them and onboard the resources needed in less than a week. The technologies we use for our product include ASP.NET Core for the backend and CSS and HTML for the frontend.

What is the team composition?

Marcel is our main point of contact. Moreover, LiftUp currently provides us with one developer and one QA engineer, but we can add resources based on our needs.

How did you come to work with LiftUp?

They were already working for us when I joined the company, so I wasn’t involved in the process. However, I believe my manager had worked with them in the past at another company.

How much have you invested with them?

We pay around €3,000 (approximately $2,900 USD) per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with LiftUp in August 2020 when I joined the company, and our engagement is ongoing. However, I don’t know how far back the relationship dates.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Having good QA and development resources has improved the dynamic within our team significantly. Additionally, LiftUp’s resources are very engaged with the rest of our team, so we’re very happy with them overall.

How did LiftUp perform from a project management standpoint?

LiftUp’s resources have delivered their work on time, and they respond to our requests very quickly. Occasionally, we have meetings with LiftUp’s managers to see how the project is progressing. We communicate via Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

LiftUp provides us with new resources very quickly, which is impressive. Sometimes, we ask for resources with very short notice, but they still turn around excellent people quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really; I’m very happy with the way they deliver. If anything, it would be great if they were less expensive.

Be clear and very detailed in what you want; it will definitely help them come up with something that suits your needs.

I’m the general manager of a SaaS platform, an online platform that helps restaurants.

What challenge were you trying to address with LiftUp?

Our website and platform were built by a previous company. When we tried to develop the Beta version of the platform, we realized that there wasn’t a lot of utility behind the code that the previous company delivered.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired LiftUp to go again through the whole database, and they found out that a lot of the key elements that we required were missing. They ended up restructuring the database, effectively saving the code. After releasing the platform’s Beta version, LiftUp then helped us migrate it from Angular to React.

We plan to outsource the maintenance of our platform to LiftUp as well.

We currently work with 7–8 people from LiftUp, including a project manager, a tech lead, two QAs, and three senior engineers.

LiftUp is well known in the Romanian market. I’ve already heard of them before this project, so I reached out to them when we were looking for another company to replace the previous one that we had hired for this project.

Our project manager is very satisfied with LiftUp’s work and the skills that they have. In terms of metrics, LiftUp has been able to successfully integrate one provider. I was happy to see how their tech lead came up with a great idea for this specific integration that saved us a lot of time and money.

How did LiftUp perform from a project management standpoint?

LiftUp has performed well in terms of project management. They’re very accommodating of scope changes, and once they get clear directions from us, they’re quick to deliver.

We use Trello, Jira, and Slack for communication and project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with LiftUp’s creativity in developing solutions. We deal with a lot of APIs, aggregators, and delivery platforms with very different tech from each other, and trying to bring all of them into a single platform has proven to be quite complex. 

Luckily, LiftUp was very creative in building the database — they were able to build something that would be a standard amongst all of these different technologies, which I think was the key to the success of our business.

It would be great if they could provide us with official monthly reports of the work that has been done.

We were able to use the product/ system earlier than expected, which was a major achievement for us. Within less than 2 months, the solution created by our partner, decreased CSV processing time by 50%, for files with up to 60 million data lines. Their team performed so well, that we decided to continue on other projects as well.

The project management was great, they were prompt in communication with any requests we had or overview of the process. They met the project deadlines, which was different from other vendors we worked with. We communicated through Skype, Jira, Paymo, and emails.
