All meeting were held online, that provided fast and efficient work. At first meeting me (brand manager) and my colleague (head of online services) have started the communication with project manager of League Design, we got intro about League design company and shared our main tasks we need to solve: develop UI/UX design for two sites, one from sketch (we only had raw visual branding), other based on developed TOV and full visual identity, values and mission. 

We were presented detailed workflow and agreed about telegram as a main soft for communication all through the process. After first meeting PM send us accurate action plan from Discovery to Site on air point with all time-managements and counted price for every step. We approved a price and started working strictly to a presented plan. PM and designer in a really short terms managed to deal with discovery, but the short timing wasn't a payment for high quality information and insides. 

After that every week we had from 1 to 3 online meetings throughout which the team were introducing to us the concept, visual metaphor, archetypes, drafts in Figma, listening to our feedback and implementing our edits or politely describing to us why in terms sites developments our edits can not be done or are not actually as useful as we thought. 

Meetings were led by PM and Designer (different ones for every site as we had to develop two) from League Design and BM, head of online development, CEO and HRD from our side. Every meeting was arranged based on both side's comfortable timing and felt really productive (our head of online development even named this meeting 'his own therapy')). Work was moving rapidly and flowy, we felt heard and understood. 

After the final design presentation of our sites, we passed to developers, but we are still in touch with the League Design team due to the need to solve the appearing details in the site design based on foreign market landing and some specifics we could now only after customer testing.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Satisfied CEOs and positive feedback from customers. Next week we will be able to analyze Renee site by number of table reservations.

Every member of the company were polite and really attentive. All processes were done in time (sometimes even faster).

In the past, I’ve worked with web designers that can get carried away in their creativity and make a project take 2x as long. I’ve also had designers that weren’t very responsive when we needed them to be. That made me worried for this design, but League design was the most responsive & timely team I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve worked with over 30 freelancer teams in my career.

 They made all my worries go away since our first meeting. Everything was superbly on time and they made sure that you stayed on schedule. Responsiveness and timeliness are obviously highly rated goals within their company.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I loved their creative process. They truly know how to reach into your mind and pull out that obscure and powerful feeling that you want to bring your audience to experiencing. The cool thing about it is that it’s built INTO their process, so that anyone on their team knows how to repeat the phenomenal magic. I was also super duper impressed by how on point they were with timing, checking up, and keeping things on schedule.

They were very transparent. Sometimes, I just trusted them and didn’t need them to explain all the little details so much. It was a little bit too transparent sometimes, but it wasn’t to any extreme degree.

We were looking for an agency to help us implement a new UI for our one of our internal corporate projects. New creative concept itself was developed by in-house design team, but we needed an external vendor to work on design components and compose layouts for webpages.

During the research phase project team has interviewed several other design companies and we chose League as an agency with a great combination of professional skills, pricing and client focused approach. Reviews on Clutch and Upwork were also very impressive.

The agency did a pilot project for us and provided ideas for a new UI. Project kicked-off with a debriefing call and QA session. During the implementation stage League team was open to our feedback and shared the ideas on further improvements. After the review stage they made all necessary edits diligently and swiftly.

The project has yet to be released, but thanks to League, we were able to quickly compose all webpage layouts in Figma and collaboratively refine them. The new UI is very different from the current one: pages are much more expressive, intuitive and bold.

Their project management skills were at a high level. Our manager regularly shared updates and task statuses and arranged calls as often as necessary to get feedback from us.

We want to thank them for their loyal attitude, commitment to deadlines and excellent communication.

At the beginning of the project, we had to arrange a few extra calls to set up the workflow, but all the issues were quickly resolved. Our team is happy to cooperate with League in future.
