We engaged with Leadable to help drive revenue's in our business unit. They provide exactly what we were missing - finding qualified people in banks that needed our product. Our goal is to add $1m revenue within 12 months

They came to us firstly, then we checked around what was on offer ij the market and we backed Barry and David and the team as they came across as very sincere and credible

They can do that much better than I but basically the steps are a domain fit for purpose then direct communication with the target audience and a slow but measured building of a 'zone of comfort' that gets the prospect to open up and consider digging deeper to find out more about what we have on offer.

We are in month 4 so early days but the indications are this is now a partner not a vendor and is going to be embedded in our company for good

The way in which they operate is unique to me and I have worked in technology companies since 1986.

So far no, maybe get wins quicker but that is not realistic as our average deal is > $30k

The targeted me with their personalised approach that caught my attention. Their sales process worked on me (and I'm quite cynical) so I felt it would work on others! After meeting I felt a cultural alignment and decided to run a trial, which is working well.

Leadable follow a systematic, personalised sales approach. They research each prospect in detail before making an approach. This enables them to approach from position of knowledge and remove barriers. After a series of emails the objective is to secure a meeting with me and the prospect.

We work with David, our dedicated sales agent. Barry oversees the process.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We've had a 10% lead conversion rate from a 92% open rate on cold emails. I've had a number of positive meetings and continue to move prospects through a conversion funnel.

Very good workflow. David has been responsive, clear with his information, and persistent in his process. I genuinely feel that they care about getting results for us.

They approached us directly. We were very impressed by the quality of their outreach and felt as though we could trust them to represent our brand. We have had bad experiences with companies like this in the past so this was very important for us.

They had a very smooth and professional onboarding period which was managed very well. From the outset, we felt confident that they were on top of everything and that they put enough work into understanding our offering and the problem that we solve for our customers. New campaigns start monthly and the results have continued to improve month over month as the pipeline has been filling up.

The breakdown of the team was one of the main reasons why we chose Leadable. The breakdown of the role makes perfect sense and we have a senior account manager who is our primary point of contact, but he is being supported by a researcher and copywriter who do all of the unique personalizations.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In terms of leads generated, the first couple of months were a little slow, but the team had warned us to keep our expectations low at this stage as it was a longer-term play with the pipeline. Thankfully, we have a decent stream of quality leads flowing through each month since and it seems to be continuously improving.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Perfect. The communication on a shared Slack channel and the full transparency and visibility into everything that is happening is a big plus point.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

1. Attention to detail - We have really struggled to find external partners who we could trust to represent our brand in the way we want it to be represented, and we have no concerns here.
2. Communication and a drive to make it work. Our first campaign was not performing very well and they were very proactive in suggesting changes and testing different approaches.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The impatient side of me would love to have seen a quicker return with more leads in the first 2 months, but as mentioned before, the team were adamant about building a longer term and more sustainable approach, which has definitely paid off.

Leadable then built a core target list of companies and people within those organisations which met certain criteria before building a series of outreach email campaigns designed to connect personally with each of the people on the list. As soon as a prospect indicated any interest in a conversation/meeting that was handed over to my team to qualify and explore

Given the relatively short nature of the 3 campaigns the first 2 generated some really good engagement, click and open rates. In addition to this there were some really good profile prospects that could be directly linked to the work they did.

Good, it was a really seemless tea nation and handover between both stages of the engagement

Time invested in understanding our business as well as some excellent sales copywriting

The elements which didn’t deliver the outcomes we hoped likely wouldn’t happen again as it was an inevitable element of both business learning what worked and what didn’t. Had we been able to extend the contract further I believe we would have been able to see some much stronger results

We have only been working with Leadable for over a month and we have seen a positive monthly report with open rates and replies/interest from certain companies. We have also already had 2 meetings with businesses that Leadable found and brought to us.

Very clear and effective. A slack channel was set up for quick communication, with regular messages and updates shared. Along with a monthly report detailing aspects of the campaign in more detail.

From the start they were very thorough in understanding what we wanted to achieve and aligned themselves closely with these. They also got to know us so when speaking with potential new business they could effectively communicate our company before passing onto us.

Leadable targets contacts within companies that likely want to use the services that we require. Their team doesn’t email 10,000 people and hope for the best.

We work collaboratively to create a list of potential customers. It’s a targeted effort that requires research on the individuals, company, and organizational interests. They verify contact details before we launch a monthly campaign to the vetted set of customers. We slowly get in touch with them and encourage them to look at our product.

We have one point of contact.

How did you come to work with Leadable?

They approached our CEO by email. Their team researched our business. We recently had a decent amount of funding, and when they contacted us, they talked about that in reference to their services.

Our CEO forwarded it to me, and we both liked their approach. They seemed interested in our business, putting very salient points in the email. We figured that if they could convince us, they could work well with our customers.

We’ve spent around $20,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement with Leadable started in September 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We initially signed a three-month agreement, but we plan on continuing as long as everything is working. Right now, it’s working, and I think we’ll expand our relationship with Leadable.

I like the constant communication through Slack. We receive a nice report monthly with statistics. It goes into the different contacts, email opens, read-throughs, and more. It allows me to collate a list of possible solutions and people who will be interested in our product.

How did Leadable perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication and project management styles are excellent.

I was impressed by how they contacted us.

No, nothing springs to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Put in as much time as possible while working with them. If you give more direction during the process, you’ll get a better result back. Invest as much time as you can afford. Don’t just hand it over as a job to do.

The service provider responded on April 8th, 2025.
It was unfortunate timing for this client as these campaigns were run in the summer of 2024. It was an email-only strategy and we are the first to admit that an email-only strategy is no longer effective since Google and Microsoft cracked down on deliverability throughout 2024.

We tried many things outside of the normal process in a bid to get results for this client, but we could not get anything to work from an outbound email perspective. The client was understandably disappointed as they did not get a positive ROI.

As a result, along with a decline in response rates from prospects across all of our clients with an email-first approach, we changed our business model entirely in Q4 2024 and now focus on creative direct mail campaigns which break through the noise.
