We are a community rewards and marketing platform for coffee shops that helps drive in new and existing business, while drastically reducing the waste associated with coffee consumption.

Coffee drinkers will have access to a user-friendly mobile application that offers cash-back rewards for their business at participating locations, and additional incentives for reusing coffee merchandise such as sleeves and mugs.

We offer cafés a platform to speak with their existing and potential customers in an eco-friendly way, without negatively impacting customer experience.

This was just a concept of mine before I began working with Latitude. Their team helped me take an idea that was in my head, and bring it to life by building the mobile application, vendor UI, and admin portal from the ground up.

What were your goals for this project?

My primary goal was/is to build a completely intuitive platform that was easy to use, and did not add any complexities to customer experience (both coffee drinkers and coffee shop employees). If accomplished, then this idea can evolve into a widely used platform with endless features that can drastically reduce the use and disposal of disposal coffee sleeves and cups.

How did you select this vendor?

I had conversations with several teams that suggested they can help me with my project. I ultimately landed on Latitude because I felt comfortable that I would be able to communicate with them every day while we build this solution, and they would implement my feedback and offer suggestions in how I should approach certain hurdles.

We started with a wireframe to understand the flow of the platform from a users experience. After that we began building the primary features and functionality. With this foundation in place, we continually added and edited design and function that allowed us to get to a (nearly) finished product.

What was the team composition?

I originally worked with our account manager , Ethan. Once we began working on development, I worked with my engineer, Jay. He was my primary point of contact for the majority of this project. I was aware he may have had a team working with him, but he remained my primary contact to discuss feedback with.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

While we are not 100% complete, we are very close. The application looks amazing and is exactly how I imagined it. It took longer than I expected to get to this point, however I understand that I threw several requests / requirements out there that required additional time and detail. I think there still needs to be a little work done on design for the admin & vendor portals, but its all very close to being very well executed.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow has been very good in regards to open communication and ability to make changes necessary.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are committed to having someone work with you each and every day on your project. They stay flexible on ensuring you receive the product you came to them to build.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I think that a process in which they review each phase from the perspective of a customer and try to fix issues before I notice them and bring them to their attention could have reduced some time spent going back and forth.
