BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the founder of an emerging startup. We’re a data-driven digital marketing business with a consumer-facing mobile app.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Latitude Technolabs Private Limited?

We needed to hire an external resource to help us design and build our mobile app, as well as bring it to market.

What were your goals for this project?

We also wanted a partner that could handle incremental improvements and maintenance.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We solicited offers from several vendors on Upwork. We chose Latitude Technolabs Private Limited because of their professionalism and mobile app portfolio.

Describe the project in detail.

Before engaging a vendor, we only had sketches and storyboards of the app. Latitude Technolabs Private Limited is responsible for taking our mobile app from an idea to the App Store. They handle storyboards, screen design, app functionality & flow, and troubleshooting.

What was the team composition?

We work with a business manager, a project manager, and 1–2 developers. The number of developers fluctuates depending on project demands.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Latitude Technolabs Private Limited has been an instrumental partner in the development of our app, helping us release almost 20 updates. The PushCart app is now one of the top five results for a popular keyword on the App Store.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Together we've established a robust process to develop and iterate incremental updates to the app. Latitude Technolabs Private Limited is very transparent and communicates well. We use a combination of MeisterTask and Slack to manage ongoing deliverables.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their work speaks for itself. The app regularly receives compliments from users on its appearance and function. Latitude Technolabs Private Limited delivered an incredible product.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Occasionally, there are errors in some deliverables. The team corrects them quickly and will work around-the-clock to ensure minimal disruption to the app.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CEO of Fran Harris Enterprises, LLC, a business & marketing organization that helps companies increase their revenues through monetizing, systemizing and celebritizing their brands.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Latitude Technolabs Private Limited?

Mobile App Development for crowdfunding, fundraising.

What were your goals for this project?

App development

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Previous experience working with him on a different mobile app.

Describe the project in detail.

Give Black is a crowdfunding and fundraising app that allows users to donate or contribute to black-owned or black-benefiting businesses.

What was the team composition?

I do not know.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Jay is a high touch communicator who does a great job of documenting the project from concept to LIVE status in the app stores. He is a great problem solver and critical thinker who helped us deal with challenges that arose through the entire process, including Apple's initial rejection of our app. He made necessary changes to help us get it approved.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective. High communication throughout the process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They do great work - and care about their customers.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I don't know if this is an area of improvement but one thing we realized throughout the process is that we needed to have more than one point of contact in case our PM got sick or left the company, etc. So, I would recommend providing multiple back up contacts within the company so the process and development don't get stalled or interrupted by illness or death.

The app's development is on schedule, and it has received very positive feedback on design and usability so far. The team from Latitude Technolabs Private Limited was flexible and communicative, taking criticism well and incorporating feedback into further iterations of the project.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

We are a community rewards and marketing platform for coffee shops that helps drive in new and existing business, while drastically reducing the waste associated with coffee consumption.

Coffee drinkers will have access to a user-friendly mobile application that offers cash-back rewards for their business at participating locations, and additional incentives for reusing coffee merchandise such as sleeves and mugs.

We offer cafés a platform to speak with their existing and potential customers in an eco-friendly way, without negatively impacting customer experience.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Latitude Technolabs Private Limited?

This was just a concept of mine before I began working with Latitude. Their team helped me take an idea that was in my head, and bring it to life by building the mobile application, vendor UI, and admin portal from the ground up.

What were your goals for this project?

My primary goal was/is to build a completely intuitive platform that was easy to use, and did not add any complexities to customer experience (both coffee drinkers and coffee shop employees). If accomplished, then this idea can evolve into a widely used platform with endless features that can drastically reduce the use and disposal of disposal coffee sleeves and cups.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I had conversations with several teams that suggested they can help me with my project. I ultimately landed on Latitude because I felt comfortable that I would be able to communicate with them every day while we build this solution, and they would implement my feedback and offer suggestions in how I should approach certain hurdles.

Describe the project in detail.

We started with a wireframe to understand the flow of the platform from a users experience. After that we began building the primary features and functionality. With this foundation in place, we continually added and edited design and function that allowed us to get to a (nearly) finished product.

What was the team composition?

I originally worked with our account manager , Ethan. Once we began working on development, I worked with my engineer, Jay. He was my primary point of contact for the majority of this project. I was aware he may have had a team working with him, but he remained my primary contact to discuss feedback with.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

While we are not 100% complete, we are very close. The application looks amazing and is exactly how I imagined it. It took longer than I expected to get to this point, however I understand that I threw several requests / requirements out there that required additional time and detail. I think there still needs to be a little work done on design for the admin & vendor portals, but its all very close to being very well executed.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow has been very good in regards to open communication and ability to make changes necessary.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are committed to having someone work with you each and every day on your project. They stay flexible on ensuring you receive the product you came to them to build.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I think that a process in which they review each phase from the perspective of a customer and try to fix issues before I notice them and bring them to their attention could have reduced some time spent going back and forth.
