Klientboost guided us with best practices for digital marketing.

We've been impressed by how collaborative their team is. I've worked with vendors in the past where they're not as hands-on and they're not invested in your success (aka they were just there to do a job). Klientboost does not fall into this category - they truly feel like a member of the team.

KB shifted strategies from PPC into paid social at our request, but also based on early indicators of success that weren't coming. About 4 months in, leads from LinkedIn started to come in from our ICP at a steady rate. Their iterative approach paid off.

They use Asana, feedback from our AM has always been timely and responsive. Can be a bit less so from creative or campaign managers.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their approach is consultative, there's some hustle to it as well. They are focused on what we're focused on — results.

Several times I've had AMs had challenges getting timely responses from their internal team. That needs to be addressed, could be a capacity issue.

Working together with the KB team started with onboarding which was great. We set up our specific goals and gave the KB team background on our existing social campaigns and what we wanted moving forward.

We also sent over design assets for them to use and they then created ads that we review/approve. This is still ongoing and the KB team continues to find new ways to optimize these ads and hit our goals.

The KB team is very professional, but the thing that stands out the most to me is the level of dedication they show when trying to iterate on ways to make sure we're reaching our goals.

We aren't seeing some of the results we wanted to see, but the team keeps bringing new ideas and is working to fix this.

I head up the marketing team at Clearbit. Clearbit is a Marketing Data Platform that enables teams to combine and refine data in real-time to create prospect audiences - and then easily apply that Intelligence to improve Acquisition, Conversion, and Operations across all their GTM systems.

Back in 2018, we released our free Chrome Extension, Connect. Connect was and still is, the best (free) prospecting tool for marketers, sellers, and networkers. At the time, we didn't have the bandwidth internally to devise and carry out a marketing strategy to get Connect in the hands of our audience.

We identified 5 digital marketing/demand agencies. After interviewing each of them, we chose KlientBoost based on their detailed proposal, clear understanding of our challenge, and the professionalism they demonstrated.

First, we went through a discovery phase to share the details of our challenge, our goals for the project, and the inner workings and key use cases of Clearbit Connect. Then they devised a strategy proposal, which included paid acquisition and email marketing. They also helped us polish our value propositions and ad creative.

The email campaign was very efficient, albeit low volume due to our database restrictions. They were able to achieve a 45% open rate and a 10% click rate, which exceeded expectations. The paid campaign we ran on Facebook and Instagram was extremely successful, resulting in < $1 installs.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had a weekly meeting set up with our account manager and constant communication back and forth via email. They were always quick to respond and attentive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I loved the culture at KlientBoost. Their founder and CEO, Jonathan Dane, has done an incredible job building a team of passionate, hard-working, and intelligent people.

Klientboost helped drive a lot of leads to our website. Overall we have tripled our monthly demo requests. While not all of them were attributed to specific ad clicks, it has helped drive a lot of brand awareness and SERP rankings.

Very good and effective communication. Klientboost's team is very capable and professional - they take feedback well .and work hard to implement our requests. We trust them as a knowledgeable resource to assist us with our ad strategy.

Their commitment to ensuring the best outcome for us. They work hard to make sure that their results match our expectations. They take feedback well and improve.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

It would have been nice if they had requested some additional resources and ideas from our inhouse team - it did seem like they have a specific process to follow, but would have been more effective if they had leveraged some of our in-house learnings sooner.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to KlientBoost’s efforts, our lead costs have gone down, and our cost per action has been reduced by half.

How did KlientBoost perform from a project management standpoint?

KlientBoost performs quite well. They’re very organized and share a lot of their information. We touch base weekly, so I’m happy with that.

They’re also collaborative and responsive. We communicate via email and Google Meets.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The process of working with KlientBoost has been great. They seem to know what they’re doing, and they always keep us in the loop. Additionally, they’re very transparent, which I really like.

I’ve already given them direct feedback, so I have nothing to add.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Ensure that you have all of your documents and information set up from the beginning. They tried to do that for us and did a good job, but Google Ads and Analytics accounts require having a lot of information in advance to access them. Having everything prepared will optimize the time you spent with KlientBoost.

We are starting to see positive momentum in our CPA goal. So far we have seen a 15% reduction in our cost per lead.

When you need surgery, you seek out a specialist. For paid media, it's KlientBoost. Their depth of knowledge and experience to adjust campaigns (adding innovative techniques in an attempt to consistently improve performance) was the deciding factor.

Scope of work includes managing and continuously improving performance of our paid media across specific channels, SEO on Google and Bing, landing pages using Unbounce, performance tracking via Google Tag Manager.

We've worked with about 8 individuals within the KB organization, with interaction of those involved in each step of production. More frequent interactions are with our account manager, client success manager, and audience strategists.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our campaigns have been successful overall with significant declines in CPA. Next challenge is to get more of the "right" prospect to engage based on company size and persona, and we are shifting strategy and approach to make that happen, as well as retargeting.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have in-person meetings every other week where we review performance, strategy and ideas, plus discuss any recommended adjustments to approach. We also meet more frequently based on special projects or internal requests.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Passion and expertise for the work they do. They know what they do best and are confident in delivering above expectations. And when they don't, they have options to quickly pivot to adjust.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They could've taken our existing approach as more a placeholder and completely reinvented it, to AB test against versus using it as a foundation upon which to build. Super creative people -- would like to what they might do if we were to truly jump outside of the box. That said, we did ask them to use what we had for starters, and they listened, but knowing what they're capable of, I wish we had challenged that more.

For each platform we advertise on, they segment our audience, draft ad and landing page copy, build and optimize the landing page, and create graphics. They monitor our ads on an ongoing basis and rotate in new tests every two weeks to optimize for best performance.

I work directly with an Account Manager who oversees our day to day relationship. My team at KlientBoost also includes a paid media strategist/copywriter and a click rate optimization specialist.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We've seen an increase in inbound leads and overall lift on demo request submissions. We've also tested several initiatives to see what works best and have established new best practices moving forward. Compared to agencies we've worked with in the past, we've also seen more efficient advertising, with our Google CPM dropping below $10 for the first time.

We've had a great workflow. KlientBoost works in Asana, and it's very easy to see the status and history of the projects we're working on. I love that I can easily search for a keyword, see our performance, and understand next steps all in one platform. The KlientBoost team has also been very receptive to our communication styles, and we've both worked together to create a project flow that is effective.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I love that KlientBoost is constantly testing. Every two weeks, we rotate in a new test...and make changes and decisions based on the results. They are very knowledgeable about best practices in digital advertising and strategies that boost performance.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

It was a little overwhelming to have all of our project details in Asana when I first started working with KlientBoost. But now that I'm used to it, the project management system is very helpful.

Onboarding consisted of a couple of long-ish surveys to learn more about our businesses, ideal buyer, current messaging, products, etc. The surveys led into a kickoff call to meet the assigned team, go over the survey answers, determine a check-in cadence, and outline their process. KlientBoost started working on revamping our Google Ad campaigns and we were provided access to their project management platform which listed deliverables, timelines, status updates, and more.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We've only worked with KlientBoost for about half a year, but we've seen improvements in our engagement rates and overall lead quality. Most important, we've generated more revenue attributed to Google Ads this half-year than the whole of last year.

During the onboarding process, we determined how involved we wanted to be in the process and decision-making and our communication cadence. We settled on a bi-weekly cadence and let most of the decision-making regarding campaign details to them, as experts. We communicate primarily by email. Everyone on the team is very responsive and friendly. We have access to several dashboards that sync up to our Ads account so we can check on results at any time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their level of organization, the visibility they provide into their process and results, responsiveness, and just the general ease of working with the KlientBoost team.

No complaints so far. The KlientBoost team continues to optimize our account and any minor hiccups are always taken care of.
