I’m the sales/marketing manager at Alco Products. We’re a family owned and operated home improvement company servicing the Washington D.C. metro area.

KlientBoost is responsible for managing all my PPC campaigns across various platforms, including Google, Bing, and Yahoo. They also create and test new landing pages, along with writing ad copy and managing bids/spend.

What was the team composition?

Mitchell (Director of Agency Development, KlientBoost) is my account manager and handles most of the day-to-day bidding optimizations. Tyler (Lead Designer, KlientBoost) creates the landing pages for my specific account. There are other people on the team too, but I don’t have much interaction with them.

Can you share any statistics or metrics that speak to the quality of their work and impact of the engagement?

KlientBoost has helped increase the number of leads I receive through PPC as well as lower my cost per acquisition (CPA), which is awesome.

How did the KlientBoost perform from a project management standpoint?

I have a very open line of communication with Mitchell and can access him whenever I need. Changes are executed when needed and reports are delivered when requested. I can't ask for anything more.

What impresses you about the KlientBoost?

In the past, I’ve had trouble communicating with other agencies. While I’m nowhere near an industry expert, I do have some idea of what I am doing when it comes to PPC. Whenever I asked questions of my old firms, they either couldn’t answer them or I would feel like I was bothering them. KlientBoost not only does a great job running my account, but of keeping me up to date about what they’re doing and why they make certain changes.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I want to work with them to figure out how counteract the downturn in business my industry experiences in the winter, especially through creative ads/pages.

We onboarded a couple of new e-commerce advertisers who were looking to run performance-based campaigns, but before doing so, we had to figure out what the KPIs were going to be to acquire new customers. Ultimately, there was work to be done on the landing pages supporting both paid search and SMM.

We worked with a project manager/strategist, who helped facilitate the launch of the new pages, and had a campaign manager assigned to us. They helped us work through creative concepts and open up new audiences for various customer personas.

We were able to lower acquisition costs via the play we created for these clients.

Their strategies include multiple platforms, including Google. Every week, we receive a report and have a phone call to discuss their progress. They also produce a quarterly report featuring an overview of the strategies that did and did not work well.

It's obvious that KlientBoost invests in their team, because my account manager and team attend many conferences and classes to keep up with the always evolving world of digital marketing. We benefit from their continuous education, but we never feel like we’re the guinea pig for an unproven idea. Strategy and execution are always data-driven.

As a small startup, we lacked the engineering and design resources to create landing and sign-up pages, but KB stepped up and created beautiful, on-brand pages. They’ve been able to reduce our cost per conversion by over 70%, help us with additional conversion tracking, and ensure that there’s no more waste occurring. Now that we’re set up on their software, Kite, we get alerts if anything outside the norm happens.

It was simple and to the point. Their reporting is focused on our goals, and I can see they constantly prioritize things based on my feedback.

Our immediate turnaround in performance. They were smart to set expectations, but I didn't expect them to drastically hit our goals so fast.

Keep taking feedback and challenge your clients. I feel like they're a little too quick to say yes, even if my ideas aren't the best.
