What challenge were you trying to address with JetSoftPro?

They helped us build an app that helps teachers and parents teach their kids about financial literacy. It turns the house into an economy. Kids get a salary and pay rent and take out loans, and buy items from the shop. JetSoftPro did the backend of the web app. They also got my website up and running.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I had the idea coming in, but they provided me with a lot of advice at the beginning. Because I came in with an incomplete app, they fixed the bugs and provided optimization suggestions. It ended up being that we had to rewrite the code from scratch. They’ve made it so a teacher or parent can make a classroom or household respectively and children will get salaries and have bills to pay.

We had weekly calls on Skype, and they were super helpful. As things went along, I would send them bugs and mockups of what I wanted a new feature to look like. Other times, they’d come back to me with suggestions.

What is the team composition?

At any one time, it was no more than four people. We had a project manager, and then we had at least one developer, sometimes two, and three at one time.

How did you come to work with JetSoftPro?

It was word-of-mouth. I was looking for someone to help me finish the app and somebody knew Peter (Director of Business Development, JetSoftPro). We had an intro call and went from there.

We’ve spent around $20,000 so far.

We’ve been working together since December 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality has been unbelievable. I’ve had some of my developer friends do a few things here and there and even they say the code is super easy to read and work with. Figuring out where your bugs are is super easy.

How did JetSoftPro perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve worked in a timely fashion, and the communication has been excellent. We have weekly Skype calls, we’re on Slack; they continually update me. It’s been very transparent on billing, as well. I’ve never gotten a bill for a total I wasn’t expecting. They give us estimates up front, and all but once they’ve come in under budget.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The ease of working together is the best. They’re professional, with quick response times as well. They’re always willing to give feedback and suggestions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s going to be ups and downs in every project, but even when things didn’t go according to plan, they were very upfront about it and didn’t try to hide anything. We ended up switching project managers, but that was a seamless transition. We had a Skype call with the incoming and outgoing project managers so they could update each other and make sure it went well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear with what you want when you’re getting started. I made a simple mockup and a PowerPoint. If you have a vision, they’ll get it done and give you things you’ve never thought of.

For what projects/services did your company hire JetSoftPro?

We hired JetSoftPro to create our top product: a platform capable of teleporting people all around the world without boundaries, sharing experiences and full 5-senses stimuli. The main challenge was to imagine something completely new both from the user interaction point of view and development.

What were your goals for this project?

The main goal was to find a partner capable of embracing a pioneering project capable of bringing not only developers but able to react to challenges bringing ideas, suggestions, and solutions. The short term goal, moreover, was to create an MVP to show investors the infinite potentiality of the product and start building communities around the platform. The second goal is to move forward into development (mobile app, web app, etc.) to include additional business models and create our ecosystem. We didn't create, on purpose, any detailed technical specification, but, on the other side we promoted autonomy and critical thinking.

How did you select this vendor?

The selection process was managed through common contact, a person with high trust in our company, and included CEO (me), CFO and other shareholders. The selection shortlist included 5 different companies. The process started with sharing the overall idea and then moving to technical discussions and online/offline meetings with the team. The deciding factors were: the ability to identify challenges and to bring ideas and suggestions.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

The project started with 4 days meeting with the team to discuss all the project details. From UX/UI to architecture setup, and included workshops about the business model, exponential organizations, Massive Transformative Purpose, and more. During the 4 days, I tested most of the members of the team and challenge them to bring ideas (from design to features). It was a highly collaborative meeting, where the company was able to provide quick end effective feedback. We provided the overall idea about the product, while the team, in the loop with us: - created a feature workflow - created UI and UX for the project - created the backend architecture - decided and defined all technical requirements - suggested additional features - develop the product in all its aspects

The team total composition is about 15ppl with different roles: - Project manager - Designers including UI/UX - Workflow manager - Android developers - iOS developers - Backend developers - R&D team

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

At the moment, is too early ('cause we are still developing the product) to share any metrics. But for sure, what we were able to demonstrate today to our shareholders, investors and advisors received a high level of appreciation and it is, already, able to generate additional interest from our network.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The collaboration was smooth and with reciprocal satisfaction. The team is going on to manage the project with an unexpected level of enthusiasm and autonomy. The pace of development and deliverable is even superior to our expectations, and communication is based on daily feedback on Slack and weekly meeting online. Other tools we included are Figma, GDrive, OneDrive, and more online collaboration tools. We didn't experience any language barrier.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The company has different strengths: - first of all, real Agile management as demonstrated in this difficult moment where every company should face new challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic - is capable to react faster than other vendors to changes and challenges - they're a group of young professionals with high-level expertise, competences, and ideas, and with a clear passion for their job. As a result, the quality of their deliverables are always of a high standard

There are always areas of improvement, on both sides. So far we are very satisfied with the results

I’m the CEO of a company that does collateral inspections and asset valuations for banks.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with JetSoftPro?

We have a network inspectors throughout the country who facilitate inspections and valuations. Once we received a request to inspect a business, we needed to find a local inspector to execute the task. We wanted a solution that allowed us to do inspections remotely through a video call, but all available video technology is susceptible to data connections.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

JetSoftPro built a progressive web app that allows us to take control of a person’s camera remotely. Their team used WebRTC technology to develop the product, which doesn’t need to be downloaded. With the app, we’re able to capture photos using an individual’s cell phone and receive that content for a remote location.

What is the team composition?

We worked with probably 10 people from JetSoftPro throughout the different stages of the project. We interacted with project managers and developers. People left during the engagement, so JetSoftPro brought new people on to fill those positions.

How did you come to work with JetSoftPro?

Our CTO worked with them while at another company. While six other companies bid on this project, JetSoftPro offered the best price with the most expertise, so it was a good fit.

What is the status of this engagement?

JetSoftPro started their work on this project in June 2019 and finished the project in January 2020 but we have additional projects for them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We have a high success rate with the web app. We had constraints on this project given the few hundred different variables if you take into account web browsers, cell phones, internet connections, and operating systems. Given the complexity of the project, we considered it a success if we reached above a 93% success rate and JetSoftPro got us to a 95.2% success rate.

How did JetSoftPro perform from a project management standpoint?

I don’t know how they could’ve performed better in terms of project management. We had daily meetings that benefited the process but we worked with a few different project managers. The first was excellent but left the company during the project. Then, we worked with two other project managers who didn’t fit right. We worked with one other project manager who was fantastic. I give JetSoftPro full marks for the two project managers who we liked.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their price is extremely competitive. They were big enough to give us the resources that we needed but also small enough to give us the attention that we needed. During the times when the project manager shifted, the CEO stepped in. He knew technical concepts as he was the CTO of a larger company. He managed the project until we transitioned to another project manager.

Are there any areas they could improve?

While the project went longer than quoted, JetSoftPro didn’t charge us for taking additional time, which doesn’t happen in this industry. That was a huge deal. The project was more complex than what they thought going into it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Do it. We’d refer anyone to JetSoftPro, specifically the team that we worked with because our project manager was unbelievable. We would’ve requested that the same staff stay on the project until its completion because turnover interrupts the process.

Our company needed a diverse, agile and creative designer to bounce between 10 projects. We hired two designers and ended up with one very strong consultant.

What were your goals for this project?

To support multiple illustrations, ui/ux questions, and random icons for our ongoing projects. We had project managers doing too much iconography. A professional was needed.

Jetsoft pro had the best portfolio on Dribble and Behance at the right cost. Their lead designer was educated, passionate and modern. Their representative was kind and considerate. The process of interviewing was smooth.

Describe the project in detail.

We had 10 projects and needed a designer to support tasks on ask ten. We had a navigation trucking app, tax software, hvac management software and in house projects. The designer would be assigned icon tasks, illustrations, and ui/ux changes throughout her day. The colors, style, shadows and details needed to be produced quick and modern. The designer met all expectations.

We have 30 workers spit into 10 teams. This designer worked with the entire organization.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our trucking navigation client told us it was the best designed system in the US. Our tax software client told us the illustrations were going to modernize his brand. Our internal website is so fresh and modern teams like Monday.com have adapted the style.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Perfect. The designer is a pleasure to work with. Great communication skills and all around good person. The team loves the results and working with her. Couldn't ask for more.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The company is really easy to communicate with and is very flexible to the time change. Their offices stay open late to support our end customers.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The first designer we had needed a little more schooling on standard practices of symbols and grids to pass the system to other designers properly. We were so happy with our lead designer that this was not too big of an issue.

Good Xamarin skills are hard to find and expensive, so we hired JetSoftPro for our Xamarin projects.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to meet and exceed client needs by offering fast turnarounds and innovative features.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

JetsoftPro performed a smaller job as part of an evaluation through Upwork. I was so impressed with their work that I started requesting more and more jobs through them.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They mostly provide Xamarin support, implementing new, complicated features for mobile apps. They also work on Laravel projects.

One job was the implementation of features in a work safety app. They implemented a new camera feature that allowed for overlays of prompters for the user, recording timestamps, and ability to pause and record.

What was the team composition?

We have a team of about three developers that assist with both implementation and design.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

They are now the only company I outsource overflow to. Their value is to question the requirements when they see a better way of achieving something.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management is predominately through Aftersow Technology, but development is completed as a team. Communication via Slack and schedule management are easy—I request something to be done to schedule and it. Task management is completed via Kanban boards in Trello, and work is regularly pushed to BitBucket, so I knew everything they’re doing and am able to provide feedback quickly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their skillset is broad. If there is a problem, they have the staff to help. They question the project requirements and help provide the best way to get something done. 

Are there any areas for improvement?

Irene (Account Manager, JetSoftPro) is fantastic. When she’s not there, life is a little harder. But that is less an area of improvement and more a compliment. Sometimes communication can be difficult with the developers. A more structured requirement gathering exercise would possibly help with this, but, personally, I like to be able to give vague requirements and somehow get the result I’m after.

Our clients requested we develop mobile apps that run on their .NET backend for the organizers of fishing competitions. Unfortunately, the backend was low-quality, and we didn’t have any .NET developers on staff. We needed to find a partner to help us rebuild it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They redeveloped the website with .NET, HTML, and CSS. Our client wants to develop another app based on the existing backend, so we plan to continue working with JetSoftPro.

We chose JetSoftPro from among eight companies after they sent their quotes and showed us examples of their work. They also impressed me with their experience and flexibility in a technical interview we did to ensure their developers understood the task.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app had some issues during the first competition after release, but JetSoftPro’s developers were available to fix it over the weekend. The website’s code was nearly non-functional, but they came in, understood the logic, and developed new features. They did a great job and have great technical skills.

How did JetSoftPro perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate with the developers by phone and Skype, and they’re always available to respond in a few minutes. Their communication is perfect and flexible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m happy with how we work together and the deliverables they create.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I worked with a great developer in the beginning, but when the site had issues, they suggested another resource work on it because the original was busy with another project. It took time to help the new resource understand what I needed to do, so I recommend having a developer who knows the project fix any bugs.

They helped us build some software features that had to work across multiple products and platforms. We integrated them with our in-house developers to provide additional support with Angular development utilizing AWS infrastructure. They worked with the AWS API gateway to build out API calls.

They helped accelerate the development of a software feature by several quarters and ensured that it integrated seamlessly with our product. On top of that, their management also mentored members of our team on how to maximize the utility of the remote developers. They helped us understand the procedures to use and how to set up the technical architecture. It was very comprehensive and showed that they really understood the whole process of handling a project.

We asked them to work on our Jira board, and they did well at integrating with our process. The communication was good overall.

What did you find most impressive about them?

My in-house staff had nothing but compliments for them throughout the project. I was impressed by how well they collaborated because you often see friction between developers. It doesn’t feel like there’s any negative competitiveness. They’ve really helped us accelerate our timeline, and our team is eager to keep working with them.

There are always things that can go better. We don’t ask them to be experts at everything we do. After the first project, they got up to speed and understood our product better, which opened up the range of work they could do for us.

They were very thorough and organized, providing excellent documentation of their work. They also stuck to deadlines and stayed in touch with us throughout the engagement, holding weekly meetings over Skype.

I can't think of anything; I was very happy with their work overall. They might have made some minor spelling mistakes, but nothing worth worrying about.

I am the CTO for Ursus Holdings. We are a multi-group organization, but at our core level, we are a hedge fund company. We manage money to buy, sell, and maintain loans.

We needed assistance with the design and development of multiple applications associated with our hedge fund.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Primarily, JetSoftPro designed and developed a few apps involved in our business operative processes. These various systems help us analyze, change, and interact with large amounts of data related to our hedge fund. The team continues to provide development for some of our ongoing projects.

So far, we’ve completed a few projects over the course of our engagement. One of the team’s projects was design work for our website. They used style sheets and themes to improve the user interface and freshen up its aesthetic elements. JetSoftPro also worked on our complex document management system. With this tool, we can upload documents, list them, then present them on the frontend of the site. The system has comprehensive search and filter capabilities to help users as they explore, process, and update files. On another project, the team helped us load data into our internal pricing model system. We can run models that produce clear results and use various dials to tweak and update the data.

Both the document management system and the pricing model tool use .NET Core for the backend, the management system uses Angular for the frontend, while the pricing tool uses ReactJS. JetSoftPro integrates each platform with third-party APIs and external vendors and clients. Additionally, they helped us in the DevOps space. The team developed a system that allowed us to create Docker containers and maintain a continuous build and deployment process within our cloud environment.

The team varies based on our workload. We always have a project manager and there are anywhere between two and five additional representatives.

How did you come to work with JetSoftPro?

I was working with a different development company on a project in the past. We were creating a piece of technology and outsourced some of the work to JetSoftPro, who we found through an internet search. They successfully delivered what we needed.

Following some bad experiences with other vendors, I began looking for a new development partner. I was searching for a team that not only had the right skill set, but could help us grow as a company. Having only been in the industry for about five years, we needed a reliable company that would openly provide guidance, suggestions, and corrections as part of our relationship. Based on the positive experience with JetSoftPro in the past, we chose to partner with them.

We started working together in May 2017 and the partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

JetSoftPro meets project deadlines about 90% of the time. Their coding is neat and contains minimal bugs. The team’s valuable solutions and suggestions improve the quality of each product. Every developer on their team is different, but on average, I give them high marks.

How did JetSoftPro perform from a project management standpoint?

We manage the project on our end, the JetSoftPro team is primarily responsible for finding and giving us the resources. We use VSTS and follow two-week scrum releases. The process includes task assignments, timeline tracking, and recording any bugs or issues. All of the team members that have been assigned to our project do thorough research before creating a solution. They run all of their ideas by me prior to implementing them. We have a transparent management style, so if they feel that a task falls outside their range of capabilities, they will let us know beforehand to avoid delays in the development process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really appreciate their ability to find appropriate resources in a timely manner. Everyone on their team is skilled, smart, and resourceful. They don’t just write code, they think through projects to make sure they find the best solution. Sometimes, and at no additional charge, the developers will spend extra time researching something new that they think could improve the original plan. They provide all of these services for a very reasonable price.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would appreciate more control over the turnover in our team composition. We started out with two great developers, but lost them both for different reasons.

Any advice for potential customers?

I recommend clients be very clear on how many resources they need and for what technologies. With this information, JetSoftPro will assign the right team with the right talents.
