We wanted to create a simple solution for any customer, which would allow replacing a store trip and be convenient among various online shopping alternatives. Since the audience of various mobile messengers is increasing now and, in some aspects, is beginning to replace surfing in browsers, we wanted to seize this opportunity to create a new place where customers can buy the company’s products.

However, we selected them based on the following criteria; their reputation in the industry, their ability to provide quality products at competitive prices, their customer service and support, and their willingness to work with us to customize our order. We also looked at their past performance and customer feedback to ensure they were reliable and trustworthy.

Key deliverables:

• We looked for and achieved the following deliverables.
• User onboarding flow: we looked for a process to allow users comfortably start using the solution, securely provide their personal information and preferences, and create a profile for the chatbot.
• Vivid shopping experience: we needed a comprehensive selection of jewelry items with detailed product descriptions, images, and pricing information.
• Wide payment options: we wanted a secure and reliable payment system with multiple payment options.
• Various delivery options: we wanted to provide various delivery options, including different deliverers, gift wrapping, etc.
• Efficient customer service and support: we wished to build a convenient customer service process to help users with questions or problems. Technologies Python, MySQL, Magento REST API.

The project team included 4 members: two developers, one project manager, and one QA engineer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

This collaboration has been a great success. We have seen increased customer engagement as the chatbots provide an easy and convenient way for them to shop. We have also seen increased sales as customers can quickly and easily purchase items without visiting the store or website.

The customer service team has also seen fewer inquiries, as customers can get help quickly through chatbots. Overall, the project has been very successful, and we look forward to new projects with IT-Dimension.

IT-Dimension has the Agile project management style, using a mix of tools and processes to ensure timely project completion. They use a combination of tools such as Jira, Slack, and Trello to communicate and track progress.

They also use Scrum methodology to manage schedules and ensure tasks are completed on time. In addition, the vendor is very communicative and responsive, providing regular updates and feedback to ensure the project is on track.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive thing about them was their commitment to customer service, their willingness and openness to work with us to customize our order. They provided excellent customer service and were very responsive to our requests.

They also worked with us to develop a customized solution for our project, which allowed us to get exactly what we needed. They were also very knowledgeable and experienced, which gave us confidence that the project would be completed on time and to a high standard.

We are satisfied with this collaboration.

I’m the CEO and president of the BIMeta Corporation; we’re geared toward creating Autodesk applications for users.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with IT-Dimension?

We needed to develop our own custom software. Since we didn’t necessarily have those capabilities internally, we hired IT-Dimension to take the lead.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We gave them the ideas and thought processes behind what we wanted to implement, along with the key features. We worked on a documentation phase where we wrote out exactly how we wanted the software to work and then met with them after, and they sent us pieces of the code. 

We gave them existing code that another team of developers had worked on, and they jumped into that. Most of the code was developed using C# and .NET with Visual Studio, and we shared the code back and forth with GitHub. IT-Dimension predominantly worked on development, but we did exchange Adobe Photoshop images to illustrate what we wanted the end products to look like. 

The code allows users to customize it to their needs, and they can type in any kind of plug-in they want. It reads all 220 languages, so it eliminates language barriers on a technology software level. On a functionality level, it includes AutoCAD, Revit, and Odyssey Software. There is also the automatic elevation of line weight depth, so the line rates go lighter as a user moves farther away from a building. The software was launched in early 2020. 

We continue to update the software, and we’re currently working with IT-Dimension on updating our licensing management system.

We work with the head of their software development team, coders, and developers.

They were a referral; we appreciated that they wanted to ensure our software was secure, so we decided to move forward with them.

We’ve invested between $10,000–$20,000.

We started working with them in October 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We have approximately 100 downloads in about 30 countries worldwide. We still have a lot of people using it on a trial basis, but we’re looking in the next year to make another partnership with a consulting company that works worldwide. 

How did IT-Dimension perform from a project management standpoint?

If there are any problems, IT-Dimension solves them quickly and normally gets back to us within a week. Everything is delivered on time, and if anything goes outside of the budget, we know it's for our benefit. We primarily communicate via Skype, WhatsApp, and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their biggest strength by far is that there is not a single test that they don’t know about. They are so well-rounded that there’s not really anything they can’t do. We were impressed that they were able to jump into someone else’s code and move it forward for us. Everyone we worked with was incredible. They’re a top-notch company, and it’s been an absolute pleasure working with them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing we can come up with. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as thorough as you can and give them the big picture first before breaking everything down into small details. Give them documentation and discuss everything. Also, remember that you might have to pivot and be flexible in your approach. They’ll be able to give you everything you want, but it might take a little bit of time to get there.

I'm the IT Admin of Cycliq, an Australian electronics manufacturer offering the best road bicycle camera + light combo on the market.

IT-Dimension were contracted to develop the CycliqPlus Desktop and mobile phone app so our customers could easily manage the settings on their Fly devices, with an option to edit and share their recorded footage to popular online video sharing platforms.

Unfortunately a previous staff member selected IT-Dimension as this vendor, that said given the opportunity I would choose this vendor due to the following factors:

• punctual points of contact (Skype and company Teams)
• innovation when delivering software solutions (i.e. thinking outside the box)
• flexibility of resourcing based on demand and/or billing constraints (i.e. new product launch or reduced spend)

Cycliq required a development partner with experience developing cross-platform apps and specialised working knowledge in:

• OAuth 2.0 As the CycliqPlus app ecosystem evolves to keep pace with competitors and changing customer demands new development skills have been required, IT-Dimension have been able to continue satisfying our demands improving our applications.

There were 2-3 people in the core team, including a project manager, developers would come and go depending on current project needs (i.e. Windows development vs Mac or Android development tasks).

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have been able to release major application updates ahead of new product launches every time. Minor application updates address known issues or improve the application experience reducing customer support demands. Assigning development tasks to IT-Dimension has meant I can better allocate my own resourcing to improve IT operations at Cycliq.

We communicate using the company Teams, tasks are allocated to IT-Dimensions developers in the company Jira board with task notes and where possible screenshots/mockups. IT-Dimension developers move the tasks to In progress when development begins and then QA when a given task is ready for review.

IT-Dimension team members are punctual, reliable and easy to work with. If clarification of a task is required the company Teams Channel is used to raise questions and/or alternate solutions, this significantly reduces rework by changing the scope of tasks on the go rather than waiting on unfit solutions which has been the case with other vendors.

Over time it has been realised that IT-Dimension is a great ongoing development partner for the Windows, Mac, Android and iOS platforms and this very happy relationship continues. Thanks IT-Dimension!

The initial aim of this project was to provide to our clients on line statuses of their parking lot and ability to communicate with the service team in much faster and better way. With time the project became also a significant every day tool to our technicians, so basically we had developed one app with 2 main functionalities.

We searched on line for a company which specialized in mobile app development including backend to support it, after reviewing few companies we had decided to move forward with IT-Dimension due to their vast knowledge at that area, personal excellent chemistry and prices which we could afford.

We started with daily meetings to ensure we on the same page regarding expected outcome, design and input data from our DB. Following that we had prepared MRD\FRD with specific priorities. They had started to work immediately and we had in couple of days first Beta version which we had tested in sandbox mode till final approval. Both Android\IOS versions had been publicly launched once the entire scope of each phase was successfully completed.

A project manager was assigned to be our main point of contact, most of the communication between both companies passed through him and he lead the internal team to provide state of the art product. Both backend\frontend developers worked on that project, assumable 2 frontend and 1 backend developers.

This project, as for our needs, not possible to measure with real numbers but we had achieved several things:

1. Our clients become more happy and comfortable with our main product
2. Malfunction had been solved in much faster way without clients even notice it - proactive approach
3. It provided our company innovative image among the industry

It was amazing cooperation, after the first phase of daily meetings via Skype, we had switched to on demand meetings where we discussed outcomes and timelines. The work was done in tight schedule and always on time.

The ability to learn and move fast in new area where they didn't have previous experience, obviously they are very experienced in coding but in our case lots of new things had to be imbedded into the app such as: NFC, DVR API's etc.. , also their commitment to the projects success and on time deliverables is extrude Nery.

I don't see anything they should do differently, it's a great company to work with and also great and fun people to work with.
