The scope of work focused on modernizing our core infrastructure, communications, and security architecture by migrating from legacy on-premise systems to a cloud-first Microsoft environment. Key deliverables included email migration to Microsoft 365, transitioning from Cisco Call Manager to Microsoft Teams Phone, and moving device management from on-premise SCCM to Intune cloud MDM. Interlink also helped implement a comprehensive security framework centered on Zero Trust principles, including Windows Hello for Business, passwordless authentication, Conditional Access, token protection, and risk-based policies such as Impossible Travel detection. In addition, they supported the transition to Azure-based file services, enabling a more scalable and secure data platform. All components were delivered as part of a cohesive strategy rather than isolated projects, ensuring the environment was simplified, integrated, and aligned to modern cloud and security standards.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We consolidated multiple underutilized and poorly maintained on‑premise “premium” solutions into Microsoft-native capabilities already included in our licensing. This eliminated redundant spend, simplified our architecture, and improved overall system reliability. As a result, we achieved full cloud modernization while limiting year-over-year budget growth to under 6%. The savings and efficiency gains also directly enabled new investments in security and AI capabilities that were not previously funded.

As our environment matured, we recognized the need to evolve from primarily project-based engagements toward a more co-managed, continuous advisory model. Given how critical Microsoft now is to our identity, security, and overall architecture, having ongoing access to their deep expertise provides additional assurance and consistency. Interlink was very flexible in adapting to this shift. They were open to adjusting scope, allowing our internal team to take on more responsibility where appropriate while stepping in where specialized expertise was needed. This flexibility has strengthened the partnership rather than highlighting any gaps.

I’m the president and CEO of the Dan Beard Council, a local affiliate of the Boy Scouts of America. We’re a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that serves 12,000 families in southwest Ohio and northern Kentucky.

We’re a small organization of about 35 staff, so we’re too small to justify having an in-house IT professional. We’ve always used managed service providers (MSPs), but the one we were working with prior wasn’t meeting our expectations.

Interlink Cloud Advisors, Inc. is our MSP for all our IT needs and provides many on-site and off-site services. The team serves as fractional CIOs and advises us on technology that may be useful to increase our efficiency. They provide everything from network administration and backups to 24/7 help desk needs for our team. When we purchase new hardware or software, Interlink Cloud Advisors, Inc. is the conduit to ensure it's rolled out effectively for our organization.

We've had zero network downtime. At times, we've had to utilize backups due to failures, and the team always comes through with their backup solutions. They're a good turnkey solution for us; we view them as more than just a help desk.

Another benefit for us is Interlink Cloud Advisors, Inc.'s reputation and accreditation with Microsoft. We're Microsoft users, and they've remained cutting-edge with Microsoft Copilot and other advances. Although we haven't taken advantage of that yet, it's not because they lack expertise; they have it. They're proactive in ensuring we're aware of enhancements and tools available through Microsoft to help us become a more efficient and effective organization.

How did Interlink Cloud Advisors, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They meet our deadlines and stay on budget. No issue or ticket we've had to enter has passed what I would consider a reasonable amount of time for resolution. Although we primarily communicate via email, we also use phone calls, Zoom, and Google Meet and have in-person meetings.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Matt certainly sets the tone and walks the talk. He's proactive in identifying areas where his team could improve. I've been highly impressed by my hands-on, CEO-to-CEO relationship with him. It wasn't just him swooping in to help land the sale; he's been intentional about maintaining a relationship with us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We're likely not anywhere near Interlink Cloud Advisors, Inc.'s largest client, but we're treated like we're their most important client. This goes a long way in their vested relationship with us. As a nonprofit, Interlink Cloud Advisors, Inc. has been very supportive of us and our mission.

They've become a part of our scouting supporters, which I genuinely appreciate. We're working with charitable dollars as a nonprofit, and having vendors that reinvest through time, talent, and money back to us has been very appreciated.

Interlink Cloud Advisors, Inc. has developed strong relationships with our team members. This has really helped us as clients because being able to build relationships with people like them sets them apart from a regular help desk. It illustrates that they're a true partner, showcasing how much they value and invest in people and relationships.

Interlink Cloud Advisors, Inc. is very active and supportive of many other local nonprofits. The team is also very community-minded and charitable, which says a lot about the culture they've built. Other providers have contacted us but haven't entertained them because we're very satisfied with Interlink Cloud Advisors, Inc.
