Getlocal is an ecommerce SAAS solution for travel operators and suppliers. I lead the product development for the solution and customer projects.

To deliver strong solutions as well as beautiful and functional designs.

We met the team at a conference and immediately appreciated their passion and experience in this field.

Over the years they worked with us on a number of projects, both internal projects as well as special customer projects. They delivered not only designs but also joined the development team to deliver new features and streamline the development process.

What was the team composition?

We worked with and number of their employees including developers, QA's, project managers as well as UI and UX designers.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The team of talented individuals was very hard working and dedicated. They did not rest until they had delivered a functioning solution. They were able to take on projects and lead them very proactively.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

All projects were delivered in a professional and timely manner.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their approach to the projects was more in the lines of a partnership approach, we appreciated their honesty and over time we have developed much trust and look forward to continue working with them.

None that I can think of.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am a partner for a restaurant startup based in Ukraine. We have just opened our restaurant and the novelty is that robots make the pizza. We need to use data analytics and IT systems to automate processes and improve business performance.

What challenge were you trying to address with InSpirito?

We needed to create the IT architecture for our company from scratch. It was important to control our ingredient purchasing and allow for electronic ordering. My job as the IT partner in the company was to source good developers locally in Ukraine.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I’ve asked them to create the cloud infrastructure for our business so that we can use data analytics to make important decisions around strategy and purchasing.

How did you come to work with InSpirito?

I did some online research and reached out to some local development teams. I enjoyed my conversation with the InSpirito team the best because their top guys listened carefully and were friendly and helpful.

How much have you invested with InSpirito?

The cost of the first phase of the project was about $2,500 and the second phase was about $20,000. The size will grow over time as we add more work.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in March 2017 and is ongoing. We began our discussion and project negotiation in early 2017. I think we will work with them for a long time because we plan to build mobile apps on iOS and Android next. There are also other projects in the future that we may hire InSpirito to do.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

I am very satisfied with the work of the team at InSpirito. The system that they are creating functions well and we are happy with their progress. Their senior leaders communicate with us and are helpful.

What did you find most impressive about InSpirito?

They have met all of their deadlines and there were no cost surprises. They are not a cheap provider but they are worth the money and have good quality developers.

I am the founder and CEO of a startup IT company in Switzerland.

What challenge were you trying to address with InSpirito?

One of our clients, an accounting company, wanted to develop an app. It’s a paperless solution for invoices. We used to have our own development office in Ukraine, but we decided to close it down and rely on outsourced companies instead.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

InSpirito provided native app development for iOS and Android. They also created a Java-based web portal for backend management. The solution is meant for invoice and record scanning. It allows users to add data and transfer it to the server, where accountants can double-check it before inserting it into the accounting system.

We provided some general specifications to InSpirito. We worked together in an Agile way. I was in contact with their key developers for iOS and Android, but there may have been others involved.

How did you come to work with InSpirito?

I made an online search. We did have a discussion with one other company, but we chose InSpirito because we had a good feeling about working with a young startup. After an initial email discussion, I flew to Ukraine to meet InSpirito’s team. We signed the contract, and I gave them the existing software.

How much have you invested with InSpirito?

The cost of InSpirito’s services was $20,000–$25,000. We had a fixed-price contract that worked quite well.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with InSpirito in December 2015, about 1 ½ years ago. We have an ongoing maintenance contract.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

InSpirito has a very flexible and Agile team. They are always open to changes. There were a few delays, but they were caused in part by the changes we made to the scope. The overall collaboration was very good. We would choose them again in the future.

How did InSpirito perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was no problem at all. We had weekly status meetings as well as numerous Skype calls and emails. Our project leader was always available to answer questions and implement changes. At times, she had to clarify certain things with the developers, but the feedback was always delivered immediately.

What did you find most impressive about InSpirito?

We were impressed with InSpirito’s flexibility and willingness to make changes. They were willing to develop additional features despite our fixed-price contract. I liked their Agile way of working.

Are there any areas InSpirito could improve?

I am afraid that if the key developer left InSpirito, the know-how around our product would be lost. I have considered asking InSpirito how big the company is. I want to know if they have real employees or only rely on external consultants.
