At Megeno we personalise preventive health using novel diagnostic and data science technologies. We believe that true prevention is built upon latest science and needs to be data-driven and evidence-based. That is why our value chain is based on genome source – clearance – storage – utility. clearGene is the first solution of this kind in Europe that retrieves private individual's genome data from the data hosts. We particularly chose InCrys for their reputation and they proved to be a professional service provider from the outset.

For what projects/services did your company hire InCrys, and what were your goals?

We needed help to develop our healthcare platform under some time pressure to launch it as quickly as possible. The basic source code was established by a different vendor and was not yet up to the task of being used in high standard production environnement.

How did you select InCrys and what were the deciding factors?

We chose InCrys because of their expertise in product development services and their software development expertise in general. They are very professional and honest about who they are, which is one of the things that made them stand out from other development companies.

Developing and maintaining our product at a certain level of quality and stability for web and mobile. InCrys brought our clearGene platform from proof-of-principle to a stable staging level. There are minor details we are still working on, but it is almost complete. InCrys’s team advised and successfully lead the way from beginning to end through analysing and advising on technical requirements and considerations up until the development of the solution.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

InCrys' team is composed of a wide range of qualified technical people in Java, AWS, Angular, QA, UX, DevOps, Spring and Tomcat, who are very well organized by their Project Manager. Over the past year, we appreciated their proactive approach and ability to suggest improvements. For accelerated project timelines which require skilled resources, InCrys is a partner that always delivered on time.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

In terms of quality of work, we are very satisfied with what InCrys delivered. Our involved team members enjoyed working with InCrys’s team despite all the hassle that came with the parallel ongoing Corona epidemic. Both Megeno's and InCrys' teams managed to get to the level of collaboration that satisfies both sides. They became an integrated team very quickly and developed amazing features that perform under the highest performance and demand requirements possible. Quality and commitment have been the cornerstones throughout these months of collaboration.

The InCrys team was quick to adapt to any tools we were using. They immediately tried to blend in as if they were members of the actual internal working teams. This was the highlight of the engagement; their team never felt like an external group. We have regular meetings to track progress and determine next steps, as they are really dedicated, eager to solve problems, and positive about their work. I appreciate their reactivity and collaborative approach.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

InCrys is the name we would recommend to every company seeking a committed IT services provider, as they are the people who know how a profitable business partnership must work. Personally, I have only positive impressions from working with them. InCrys’s professional and knowledgeable staff has the willingness to endeavor best efforts to ensure project success. Every aspect of development is always handled with consideration and care. We are most impressed with the high quality of the deliverables.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There’s always room for improvement but I don’t have anything specific in mind. I hope that they continue to grow and fulfil their vision of becoming a top global “boutique” IT services partner that offers the right balance of standardized and customized solutions, and which is knowledgeable of both legacy and modern/cloud worlds.

Herold is a media company based in Austria that provides lead generation marketing for small and medium-sized companies. As the CIO, I’m responsible for IT and investments.

What challenge were you trying to address with InCrys?

We needed to produce and bring products to market more quickly. I needed highly skilled and scalable partners to support us during the development process.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They mainly supply us with Java development specialists, who work on many different applications and frameworks. InCrys also provides our entire testing team and conducts all testing for our existing legacy systems, as well as for any new application or service that we provide.

What is the team composition?

InCrys supplies a fully integrated, dedicated team that works to support my staff, provide development resources, and manage projects. For special projects, they have also provided a business analyst on an as-needed basis. Right now, there are seven people on their team. We’ll have nine in February.

How did you come to work with InCrys?

I found them through my own contacts. They gave us the best offer in terms of scalability, employee quality, and interest in our business model and our needs.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2017 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

At one point, my entire test team left the company. Within three weeks, InCrys had supplied us with three colleagues who filled the gap. They fulfilled our technical testing needs, but also fit in seamlessly with our company culture and worked well with their onsite colleagues.

How did InCrys perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m pleased with their communication. We use Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.

They’re transparent and very open about what they can and cannot do. If they fail, they let me know.

Clearly explain your technical and business needs, then listen to their recommendations. They typically make good suggestions, since they’re very transparent about their strengths and weaknesses.
