What were your goals for this project?

To develop an attractive and functional mobile application that would have a fluid and simple flow for documenting children's learning Act as a communication tool between the early childhood service and parents where real time updates can be sent to parents via a link to their phone. To optimise time, cost and eco-efficiencies for early childhood services by minimising staff administration time, reducing ecological harm through a significant reduction in paper and printing processes and making cost efficiencies on both.

ImperoIT designed, developed and delivered an online and mobile application that allows educators to record, compile and share a progressive record of children’s learning and development under the themes of Aistear: The Early Childhood Curriculum Framework. They developed an interlinked App for parents to view their child's learning progress. ImperoIT provided all services from the design concept stage to delivery of the final product.

Feedback on our product has been excellent. It has surpassed my expectations and I am delighted with the end product which is professional, attractive and functional. My client base are impressed with the easy flow of the app and the user experience is very positive.

Excellent project management experience from ImperoIT. I received regular updates, communication was efficient and effective and all queries were responded to in a timely manner. I had the same project manager throughout the project which was extremely helpful for the continuity of information.

Our App is specialized in the care of the elderly, the elderly, young people, adolescents, pre-adolescents, the sick, the disabled and, in any person, company, residence, hospital or organization that has needs for protection, security, care, geolocation and health through of some services of the best quality, which are those offered by our Application for mobiles and tablets with Android and iOS operating system, EmergyON. 

Carer: The caregiver will be able to know at all times the position of the people they are caring for, in this case through a geolocation system which allows the caregiver from anywhere in the world and at all times, to know where the people they have selected are located. search, in this case through an interactive map that will indicate the street, position of the person (being able to zoom in and out of the map, see nearby premises, see if the person is inside any premises, exact point on the street ... a map in which you will know at all times where that person is, with infinite possibilities of visualization and protection) and the exact coordinates. 

Person cared for: At any time, from any part of the world, this person whenever connected to one or more caregivers, You will have 100% complete protection and security, given that if at any time you experience any type of emergency or incidence, just by pressing the emergency warning button of the EmergyON App, an email notification would reach your caregivers immediately , via push and via internal notification advising them that one of the caregivers is experiencing an emergency that they need help with, along with their coordinates of where the incident is located and where the incident has occurred. 

In addition, immediately, you can press the quick call button to 112, which means that, in a matter of seconds, without having to dial any number, a call to the Spanish emergency services is initiated. In this way the person is always accompanied, making them have a higher percentage of success in solving their incidence.

The team consisted of several programmers from all walks of life and absolutely professionals, graphic designers, financial experts, product creators, engineers ... that is, a team that is a gem.

At the moment I have several clients of insurers (insurtech), and also several favorable opinions of it by users.

The main objective was to develop the app. Once I told them my idea, they helped me understand all of the app’s scenarios and suggested the best solutions to implement my concept.

Raza Noorani (CEO, Impero IT Pvt. Ltd) was in a business group with my partner, so we reached out to him for some potential solutions. They provided us with a splendid way to realize our idea. After such a productive conversation, we decided to continue the project with them.

Impero IT Services Pvt. Ltd developed our mobile app for singles. People can use the app to check into locations (e.g., restaurants, etc.) and find other singles who’ve also checked in; likewise, users can easily find them, too. The app also allows users to rate places where they’ve checked in, set their favorite locations and other preferences, and then access available offers for those spots.

What was the team composition?

During the initial phase, we were in touch with the CEO of the company. Afterward, we communicated with the project manager during the development process for work updates. They also had a team of five members working in the background.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Realizing this idea has been a success in and of itself. We’re finally ready to launch our singles app, and we are excited to see people using it. As a marketing company, we plan to enroll at least 10,000 users in the next couple of months to start using the app.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager assigned to our project provided us with regular development updates. I am delighted with their development strategy and execution process. We were able to communicate seamlessly over WhatsApp, Skype, and email.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They understood the concept really well and suggested the best alternatives to my ideas, all of which were very efficient from technical perspective. For instance, when my Google Maps API billing increased, they were quick to find a solution by judiciously managing the API calls without affecting the UX. They have exceeded our expectations by developing a firm baseline for the project and inspiring confidence for the future.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They could have provided more detailed timelines so that we could better schedule the user testing. Testing an app like this requires prior planning as we have to imitate real-life scenarios, which could be better planned if anticipated properly.

I’m the founder of ledapp. We aim to save energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by implementing technology to reduce consumption and use LED bulbs.

They created an app with an energy calculation UI. The system supports variable inputs for bulb type and usage per day.

During the initial phase, we were in touch with a business analyst to define our specifications for the project. Later, their project manager coordinated with us for development processes with work updates for the frontend and backend developers.

We earned third place in the 2018 Athens Startup Awards. We’ve won contracts with two utility providers.

I’m impressed with their experience in mobile app development and optimization. Working with them was a substantial and positive experience. I will definitely go with them again for future projects.

One of our clients required a mobile app for his library, which includes almost 3,000 books. He wanted an app to identify which books he already owned so that he could organize his collection.

 Impero IT Services Pvt. Ltd. designed and developed the entire app from scratch. They built the product for the Android platform. We didn't have to provide them with any wireframes or designs.

I don't know how many teammates worked on the backend, because I only interacted with one person. Impero IT Services Pvt. Ltd. assigned a project coordinator to interface with me.

During my search process, I used Google to find companies based in India that could develop our mobile app. I contacted a few different vendors, and Impero IT Services Pvt. Ltd. was the best option. They were much better than any of the other vendors I considered.

We worked together between March–April 2017. The project was ready to launch in about three weeks.

Impero IT Services Pvt. Ltd.’s performance from a project management standpoint was excellent. We would normally communicate with them through WhatsApp or email. They contacted us regularly.

I haven't tried any other companies, so I don't have a point of comparison. Impero IT Services Pvt. Ltd. impressed me with their extremely quick response times.

I'm the director of The Clubman App and an active community member of the Gaelic Athletic Association, an international amateur sporting and cultural organization focused primarily on promoting indigenous Gaelic games.

We hired Impero IT Services Pvt. Ltd to develop a native mobile application that integrated with Twitter APIs. 

What were your goals for this project?

Each club dedicated resources to updating their game scores on Twitter; we wanted to save human effort by automating this process. We also wanted to remove human error and eliminate formatting mistakes while allowing anyone to tweet accurate game scores in real time. 

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We found them online, where their reviews seemed decent. We sent them an inquiry, and they replied promptly. After discussing the problem, they researched Twitter APIs and responded quickly with possible options. Their quote was reasonable and their communication was professional. 

Describe the project in detail.

Using our unique template, the app dynamically creates tweets and pushes them to all our followers. It effectively manages time calculations, player replacement, goal updates, fouls, and half-times. They also created universal formats for each of these events. The interface has intuitive graphics, so all our users need to do is click.

What was the team composition?

We dealt primarily with our project manager and client communicator. We had one UI/UX designer, one Android and one iOS developer, and one backend developer who specialized in .NET. We also had a tester who provided QA.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The results were better than we expected. Most of our clubs now use this app to update their followers with live scores. We had more than 600 downloads. Since club managers only use the app, that's a great figure. Overall feedback is positive, so we achieved what we needed.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We communicated using WhatsApp. Our project manager was always available, and we never had problems because of the time difference. Their team promptly implemented the necessary updates, especially when we needed to make urgent changes after releasing the app.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed by their professionalism, cost, and transparency. Their rates were unbeatable; they built an app for just 30% of what local companies charged. They also gave us the entire source code after the final payment, as per their standard practice. That was impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Twitter disabled our API because of the large number of automated tweets originating from our platform. It took three days to convince them that the tweets weren't spam. It would have been great if Impero IT Services Pvt. Ltd had anticipated this issue. However, I'm not sure if that was their fault.

We’re a company that provides software to individuals and organizations that facilitates sports player development and training at a young age.

What challenge were you trying to address with Impero IT Services?

We needed assistance executing on our idea and creating apps for iOS and Android.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Impero built native apps for iOS and Android that allow coaches of all different sports to assess players and teach fundamental skills. They created the platform so a coach can input a result in the most user-friendly way possible. That information is then stored on the back-end, which I have access to, and all that information is collated. The granular information is gathered into thousands and thousands of players, and you can get real data from it. It's a native app.

What is the team composition?

I liaised mainly with our project manager, Raja. We worked very well together. He was almost always available and would pass me off to another manager on the rare occasions he wasn’t. In those circumstances, the new contact was completely up-to-date on our project. Altogether, their team was about 10 people.

How did you come to work with Impero IT Services?

We were unhappy with a previous vendor in Ireland, and pricing for outsourced development in the area is extremely expensive. We looked at offshore companies for a less expensive, more reliable option. I contacted a few different companies and was very happy with Impero. Their portfolio, staff, and cost structure made them a very reasonable option. I've been dealing with them for a good while now, and they're very honest. They consistently follow through on their promises and stand by their initial quote. They're very flexible, and I couldn't rate them higher.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent £15,000–£20,000 ($18,500–$24,700).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2017, and the project ended in December.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since launching the apps, we have about 5,000 downloads. Coaches use the app for a large number of players, and we have about 10,000 players registered with the app so far. We’re measuring the amount of player/coach engagement and looking to expand as we move forward.

How did Impero IT Services perform from a project management standpoint?

The communication was stellar, and they were consistently available when we needed them. They were honest, friendly, and forthright with any concerns that came up. We’ve worked with companies in the past that don’t value transparency, and Impero was a refreshing change of pace.

They also took time to understand the details of our project, even before we formally agreed to bring them on. They were meticulous and provided substantive input on the app’s usability/functionality. I felt that they understood my goals and trusted them to build apps that reflected them. Communication was mainly through WhatsApp, Skype, email. I used TestFlight for testing the apps on my end.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We really appreciated their honesty, friendliness, and attention to detail from the start of the project. They're genuinely nice people and they’re very good at their jobs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind.

I'd say just give them a call. Their appeal is very self-explanatory. They’re very professional and they stand out from their competitors. Get them on the phone, connect with them, and you'll see the difference.

I’m the acting CEO and sole founder of Payfrit, a restaurant and hospitality app. We bring the table ordering capabilities of a tablet like Ziosk to the customer's mobile device. Our first live version is now set to launch after spending about two years on development.

I needed a company that could execute on my ideas and my vision for Payfrit. This included mobile app development, web development, and backend management.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I initially sent out an RFP to over 60 companies I personally sourced online and out of 15 suitable responses, Impero’s stood apart from the rest. They communicated very effectively right from the first email. Raza’s (Business Development Manager, Impero IT Services) understanding of and enthusiasm for the project actually led him to create a proof of concept (POC) demo on Android before they were even awarded the project. After seeing his initial response and how well he understood our long-term goals, it was immediately obvious that they were qualified to take on the project.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

Impero oversaw frontend and backend development of two Android apps, one iOS app, and an ASP.NET web framework. They also integrated with various third-party APIs including AWS.

What was the team composition?

Raza led the team and a senior iOS developer served as second in command. There was also a team of about six developers that worked on the project. I communicated with all of them as needed.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We’ve gotten great feedback on the App Store and the Google Play Store from both restaurant customers and end users alike. The layout is consistent with what we envisioned.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

I primarily communicated directly with Raza and he liaised with the rest of the team, as they weren't as well-versed in English. The engagement has been very smooth. Effective communication has been one of our strongest working points.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Despite a significant time difference, they’ve communicated effectively and worked collaboratively.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

I would love if they were to open a local office!

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

Cloud Pixel is a cloud-based digital signage provider. We give our customers a way to install and manage their digital signs directly from the cloud. They can have five or 200 different locations and they’ll be able to push content to those screens directly from the cloud. I’m one of the founders. I focus mainly on solutions architecture for new clients.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Impero?

We had a Windows and Android player, but we didn’t have a player that would work on iOS devices, yet. A lot of our customers want iPads by the register so that their customers can pay for the product, look at the other products that are available, and take surveys.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The interface of the application was pretty minimal. The on-screen display is managed by the control panel of our web-based app, which was pre-existing. It’s an empty screen and you push the content to it. Our main concern was that we didn’t want to make any changes in our existing system; we wanted the new player to work exactly like the old player. We wanted to run it as a background service that would make sure the application is open all the time. If it crashes, it automatically opens again.

It’s the same idea as the Android OS. The onscreen keyboard comes up automatically when you touch the screen. We’ve had problems in the past with different devices and different OSs but they addressed that. We want the iOS app to communicate with our servers the same way the other devices communicate and be able to get the updates within seconds. As soon as the content is downloaded, it’s cached so even if you lose Internet connection with the server, the player should continue to play the same way.

Impero was given the existing code, and they worked with our lead developer to complete the app.

What is the team dynamic?

I worked with Raza [Noorani, Owner, Impero IT Services] and one developer.

How did you come to work with Impero?

I found them online. I emailed 5–6 companies and Impero was the first to call us back and give us references. They did a lot of discovery to find out how the product needed to be made, and we liked what we saw.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $12,000–$15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March 2016, and the project was completed in June 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had it in the App Store and then we pulled it out. We have one client that is currently using the product. The business we were going after was a major store chain, and we didn’t end up getting that business. We’re focusing on the healthcare industry now, and once we’re done with that, we’ll go back to the retailers to try to sell it to them. We have Windows, iOS, Android, and Chrome OS players available now.

How did Impero perform from a project management standpoint?

I really liked working with them. Raza gets things done. He was very professional, and I liked working with him. They were very good with the timelines. They are nine hours ahead of us. When I woke up in the morning, there was always something waiting for me. They were either asking questions or wanting my feedback. We used email to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I liked was they were always a step ahead of us. I’ve worked with a lot of developers and usually, they get sidetracked. They’re thinking about new features that have nothing to do with the current requirements, but Impero was really focused. I also liked the fact that I would get up in the morning, and Raza would have communicated with me during the night to keep me updated.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish they were a little cheaper from a business point of view.

I also wish they offered more services. I’ve asked them for new technologies, but they don’t have the right personnel to do other projects I’ve given them. I wish in the near future they would expand their team a little bit. We were looking for cross platform dev work similar to Electron (which includes JavaScript, HTML, CSS applications) that they can compile and run on Windows, Mac, and Linux. There are a lot of those cross-platform programs that they don’t have the personnel for.
