I’m a principal marketer at Octopus Deploy, a software company. We provide Continuous Delivery, GitOps, and release orchestration solutions that help software teams automate and manage deployments across multi-cloud, Kubernetes, and hybrid environments, ensuring efficient, reliable, and compliant software delivery.

What challenge were you trying to address with Impactable?

We needed to increase brand awareness with our target audience and focus on generating demand that converted to pipeline downstream.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Impactable manages the day-to-day activities within our LinkedIn and Google Ads advertising accounts while also providing strategic guidance on account performance. Their in-house design team also helps design assets for LinkedIn ads. Specifically, the design team has helped design static image assets for LinkedIn ads that align with our brand requirements, positioning, and messaging. Impactable manages all active campaigns targeting high-intent keywords on Google Ads and broader campaigns on LinkedIn across the entire customer lifecycle — from awareness through to conversion.

We work primarily with 2 people at Impactable, but there is an extensive campaign and design team also involved in the background.

We found them through word of mouth and exposure to their founder Justin's social content. We chose them because their approach aligned with what we needed - demand and pipeline generation.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Impactable’s work has resulted in pipeline generation and a positive ROI on the budget spent to pipeline and revenue return. We’ve seen a return of approximately 10:1 against our spend. In addition, we’ve had a significant reach into our target accounts.

Impactable consistently delivers on time and is able to pivot quickly to new ideas and experiments when required to do so. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

Impactable is ready to pivot as per our needs, given that they understand the reasoning behind it. The team provides regular updates, and our campaigns have been set up. Our engagement is still ongoing, but we’ve noticed an increase in engagement and interest from our target audience since the campaigns were set up.

We chose the Impactable team based on their experience and proposed strategies to help us grow our business.

We started running Linkedin Ads in feed to a couple of different audiences to build the top of the funnel. After about a month or so we refined our targeting and UX which resulted in an increase in quality leads. This strategy complemented our DM campaigns as there was high overlap in the audiences.
