I’m the technology administrator for Hope House Foundation, a nonprofit that supports adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in living independently in their own homes throughout the Hampton Roads region of Virginia.

What challenge were you trying to address with HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies?

We needed an external MSP that would partner with our internal IT team as secondary end-user support and primary support for select critical IT systems.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies upgraded, configured, and maintained firewalls at all of our locations. They also upgraded and replaced the backup of company data at all locations and installed RMM tools for our use as primary support and their use as secondary support.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies completed all upgrade replacements and installed all RMM tools. They also provided training on the use of applicable tools and completed the onboarding process and conversion to ongoing support. I feel that there is better security with their expertise managing the new firewalls. I also have better remote control and visibility over the end-user devices. For example, I now have unattended remote access to PCs anywhere in the organization.

How did HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very receptive to our needs, easy to communicate with, and kept the onboarding process on schedule. We primarily communicated via phone, email and virtual meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies’ knowledge base, ease of communication, and flexibility to change processes as needed to address issues and accommodate changes we requested were impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything went extremely well and on schedule.

I’m the director of support operations at Collins Machine Works. We’re a full-service manufacturer providing machining and fabrication solutions for the defense industry.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies to accomplish for your business?

We needed help with our GCC-High O365 migration.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies migrated our existing commercial O365 licenses to a GCC-High tenant. They also trained users, onboarded endpoints and cell phones, and migrated all data.

They were a long-term business partner and an established supplier.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $125,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2025–January 2026.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies completed the project on time and mostly on budget, all within acceptable parameters. Downtime was kept to a reasonable minimum, and all users were on-boarded within 72 hours. Additionally all locations were on-boarded concurrently within that time-frame. After the migration, we had compliance audits and regulatory checks that confirmed the project met required standards. 

How did HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We primarily communicated through video conferencing and chat. HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies delivered on time. However, they could have done better with their digital progress tracking tools.

What did you find most impressive about them?

HRCT - Hampton Roads Communication Technologies actually did what they said they were going to do in the time they were going to do it. Which doesn't seem that impressive, but if you're a seasoned procurement professional you know how much this means. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They need better progress tracking tools and better reports to customers (e.g., charts).
