We contracted Hewit Matthews to design and build a searchable, visually appealing, user friendly database of UK university scholarships that refugee students from Ukraine, Afghanistan and other countries could use to continue their studies in the UK. They provided the initial design, full build and continue to host and support the platform today.

The site went live on time and within budget, and received great feedback from universities and students.

We recently conducted some brand consultancy on the positioning of the Gattaca Solutions brand as well as a significant brand redesign we’re yet to formally launch - we’re executing that work in the form of a distinct and separate website from the PLC site that focuses on user behvaiour and buyer decision journey - in collaboration with Hewitt Matthews.

The project remains on-going but thus far the working relationship has been incredibly productive and we're very much aligned in terms of culture and communication style. Work has been efficient and of an incredibly high standard.

Hewitt Matthews have been great, once our expectations were aligned it's been smooth sailing. They consistently deliver items on time, and hold us to account as well. Moreover, their response to our needs was prompt and attentive. Their organised, punctual, and personable approach has made working with them a smooth and efficient experience.

Their culture and warmth, they truly get what we're about and what we're trying to achieve and it is a pleasure to work with them.

We needed a partner that would hold us to account and give us a bit of tough love and guidance when we were too close to the project and I think initially, unsurprisingly with a new working relationship, they were maybe a bit hesitant to give us that tough love - we chatted about that and since they've gone above and beyond our expectations.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hewitt Matthews works on our SEO and PPC advertising. They do keyword research and organic listings. We’ve gone through the keyword research together to determine what keywords would benefit us. They also create all our ads and give us ideas on how to improve our advertising.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

After Hewitt Matthews took over our Google Ads from another agency, we saw a 22% increase in sales in the first quarter. In the second quarter, they were up by 28%. Since then, it has continued to increase. Overall, we’re happy with their work. We’ll refer them to our clients for PPC work.

How did Hewitt Matthews perform from a project management standpoint?

They do a monthly Zoom video summary of everything they’ve done without being asked. They also arrange Zoom calls to catch up. Overall, they’re always available, and communication is fantastic.

Additionally, we use GitLab for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service is outstanding; we couldn’t ask for anything better. Hewitt Matthews is an excellent company.

No, we’re very happy with them. Their prices are fair, and their communication is great.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected Hewitt Matthews as they are exceptional! We met them several years ago and their ethos and way of doing business is extremely similar and in keeping with our own.

We had an initial design meeting and subsequent meetings to discuss templates and designs. A final hand over meeting was completed with the relevant teams and subsequent contact from Hewitt Matthews is in place for any issues.

We have worked with most of the team, however, we predominantly work with their web developer Duncan!

We are currently in the process of launch, however, we have already seen benefits from the ease in which our inhouse team can now develop the website.
