We hired Halo Lab to design a website, demo video, beta and public release, and 3D object manipulations.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Halo Lab designed and developed a working website with user management, account management, job history, and billing info. They used React and Three.js for design file loading, manipulation, and visualization.

We worked with two frontend engineers, one 3D specialist, and one part-time QA.

We found Halo Lab through a referral from our investors. We chose them because they were affordable and had a good reputation.

We spent between $30,000–$60,000.

We worked together from May–July 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We saw an improvement in response time and a faster 3D object loader and manipulation. The mesh selection was sped up by 70%

Halo Lab delivered on time. They used ClickUp for project management. We primarily communicated via Microsoft Teams.

I initially reached out to Halo to assist with UX/UI design for a mobile app; however, I was super impressed with their work and loved working with the team so they are now also developing the app itself.

The UX/UI designs were delivered ahead of schedule and the ongoing app development is on track too.

Halo Labs has worked on improving our React Native mobile app. We had the skeleton of an app, but they were able to do an end-to-end re-design of each of the main pages. Since then, they’ve successfully implemented around ~20 different features on our mobile app. We share a spec and design, they provide an estimate and occasionally some design options, then when completed create a PR on GitHub.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

20+ new features on our mobile app, all that have been launched to production on the App Store, that are used and loved by our users.

Their code is well-organized, easy to follow, and rarely do we have to go back-and-forth about bugs. They are also excellent communicators - carefully following threads on Slack, effectively communicating design and engineering tradeoffs, and even producing a 10m Loom video walking through a diagram.
