Please describe your company and your position there.

I am Technology Lead at ParallelDots, Inc. We are primarily an AI company building products across several verticals like Healthcare, Market Research etc. We are a team of 50-100 employees passionate to build products having applied implementation of deep learning/machine learning.

For what projects/services did your company hire GSV SYSTEMS LLP?

GSV Systems has helped us plan our network architecture, procuring quality devices and provided continuous support to set up the backbone of our IT infrastructure. It helped us focus our product development as our network and security were taken care by them.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to setup a network infrastructure having multiple ISPs, wanted the best routing to support 50-100 concurrent users, that would be like 200 devices, VPN access for securely connecting remote users, connecting our office network to AWS, GCP through secure tunnels.

How did you select this vendor?

The planning, quality of devices and support provided them has been excellent. The engineers are highly qualified professionals having state of the art skills and certifications like CCIE & JNCIE. Cloud Certifications like MCP's & AWS Certified Architect makes them a perfect fit the cloud management and consultant as well. The have the expertise across premise, cloud deployments as well as hybrid cloud. So it's a one-stop solution for us.

Describe the project in detail.

Once we selected this vendor, we had to set up an initial infrastructure for 20 users. As our team size increased and the company grew the requirement also changed, but the devices suggested by them were very scalable and we didn't have to buy new ones.

They have been very versatile to meet our needs which are changing every quarter. Going forward they helped us secure our infrastructure with the best practices and setup secure access for our remote users, cloud connectivity and deployment.

What was the team composition?

Initially there is a team having a lead which comes and does the setup of all the network infrastructure (hardware + software) and gives you everything up and running. Going forward you are provided an account manager who is your go to guy. They have an excellent ticketing system, where you drop a mail and instantly a person is assigned to help you out.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are primarily a tech startup focussing on AI products. GSV systems had provided us the peace of mind to focus on our product development as all network related things are taken care of by their team.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The collaboration was excellent. Once you contact them, you would be explained everything in detail. You can take your time to decide things. Once you are ready and are in onboarding phase they will setup everything with your continuous consultation and requirement. They have very good suggestions to your problems. Once onboarded, they provide you continuous and very satisfactory support.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive part is they have always have an excellent solution based on your requirements and budget. The people there are very helpful and prompt to fix your issues.

Are there any areas for improvement?

A biweekly/monthly newsletter describing latest tech and hardware, security solutions would be very helpful. You get know the cutting edge research that's going on these areas and what could be suitable for you in future.

I'm an independent project manager and service delivery manager. I offer my services to various companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with GSV SYSTEMS LLP?

We hired them to help convert a client’s telephone from their legacy system to a state-of-the-art Cisco platform. They also helped support that platform after the migration.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They did project work within predefined changes, and we leveraged their close contacts with Cisco. They executed everything remotely and provided first- second- and third-line support. They did implementation engineering, support engineering, troubleshooting, and reporting on their work and the performance of the infrastructure.

What is the team composition?

We work with a team of up to twelve members. At the time, they had account managers, but I mostly interfaced with the owner.

How did you come to work with GSV SYSTEMS LLP?

A close colleague recommended them. We used them first for a contract with an Australian client, and have since worked with them directly.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent in the region of $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in the second quarter of 2014 and wrapped up a major project at the end of 2015 or the beginning of 2016. They continued to support the client after I was released from the project, and we still work together intermittently.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our clients were very satisfied. GSV responded to problems within the expected time, and they gave us good feedback. There was some client prejudice against offshore resources, but they overcame that.

How did GSV SYSTEMS LLP perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed to the requirements and the timeline. The client changed the scope frequently, but GSV accommodated all those changes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Larger companies in India often can't keep the most ambitious or talented technical workers. GSV engages skilled resources that leave larger firms, which leads to a highly-qualified team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything they could do differently. Their English is good, but some of their team members speak with heavy accents, which can create a bit of a language barrier over the phone. They're very good at working remotely, but it would be helpful to work with them on-site.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Treat them as you do your internal team. They are an excellent technical firm, and they work at a higher level than you might expect. They charge much lower rates than their counterparts in western countries with the same level of expertise.
