Please include a summary of key deliverables.I hired Greybox Creative to assist with the redesign of my existing website.  I simply outgrew the former version and needed to maintain a professional look and landing page for my business.  I did not require a very robust website in terms of media content but I wanted it to reflect my brand and the military backgroud I bring to the table.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success? The outcome was a website that far exceeded the degree of professionalism exhibited by my former website.  Evidence of this was the fact that immediately after it went live, many people in my professional circles reached out to me to congratulate me on the new website and commented on its visible improvement from the former version.Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?Greybox was consistently proactive and moved things towards completion as quickly as I wanted them to move.  The project would have been completed much faster than it was but it was I who pumped the brakes on its final execution on account of needing to obtain compliance approval at various junctions by my overseeing firm (I am a FINRA registered advisor).  Communications were consistently fluid and response times were almost instantaneous.  Wish I could say the same for the compliance side of things lol.  Despite the fact that I placed drag on the project on account of things that needed to be cleared on my side of things, Greybox never missed a beat and handled everything on my wishlist with patience and professionalism and delivered their very best work at lightning speed. What was your primary form of communication with GreyBox Creative?Virtual MeetingEmail or Messaging AppWhat did you find most impressive or unique about this company?Greybox has a creative eye second to none.  Their work on the recent Intrepid project illustrates the caliber of work they can handle.  My project was small in comparison, and my demand level significantly lower, but nonetheless I wanted to achieve a comparable level of professionalism in my wesbite.  Vincent Fatato and his team were extremely accommodating and accessbile to me at all hours, any day and at any time via phone, Zoom. text or email. I highly recommend them and give them an enthusiastic five stars!!!Are there any areas for improvement or something GreyBox Creative could have done differently?None, I enjoyed working with them from begining to end and would not look elsewhere for future digital branding needs similar to this effort.

How did you find GreyBox Creative?Existing RelationshipWhy did you select GreyBox Creative over others?Great culture fitCompany values alignedPrevious experience with the agencyHow many teammates from GreyBox Creative were assigned to this project?2-5 EmployeesDescribe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables. Our agency engaged GreyBox to develop a logo and style guide for a client of ours, for whom we were developing a holding company name. We've worked with and engaged GreyBox numerous times before, have great respect for their visual design capabilities, and knew they'd be a perfect fit for this project, which required a quick turnaround (within 3 weeks). As always, they knocked it out of the park, overdelivering on the number of concepts they presented and nailing the design in just one round. Their deliverables included logo and style guide for the new holding company name.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?GreyBox never fails to deliver. Vincent, the agency's founder, and Remo, the firm's Creative Director, are incredibly talented branding and design professionals, and their work consistently speaks for itself. We've partnered on numerous visual design projects, most often involving logo, style guide, and other assets (presentation templates, social banners, etc.), and every engagement has been a huge success, our shared clients loving not just the work GreyBox delivers (which, honestly, is some of the best design work we've ever seen) but the way our firms interact. They're not just great designers, they're great people, easy to work with, endlessly accommodating, and focused on customer satisfaction—ours and our clients. For this particular engagement, GreyBox nailed the design for a large, billion dollar, holding company in the protective gear space. Our agency, Catchword, developed the name for the holding company (Valeron) and GreyBox handled the design work. We were all working under an extremely tight timeline (approximately 3 weeks for each of the two brand development phases) and they just completely nailed it. Every concept was more impressive than the last, making it difficult for the client to choose just one to adopt. Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?GreyBox is super easy to work with, extremely accommodating, always on time (ususally sooner), and consumate professionals. We love working with them. What was your primary form of communication with GreyBox Creative?In-Person MeetingVirtual MeetingWhat did you find most impressive or unique about this company? The two things that most impress me about GreyBox are 1) how damn talented they are and how much we love their design work (!), and 2) how they always overdeliver and contextulize their designs in so many ways so that we and our clients can really imagine how effective the designs will be in market. Every identity they develop is fleshed out fully (not just on some business card and signage mockups), put in numerous rich environments and applications, really brought to life so that we can make a really informed decision about which identity to adopt. Are there any areas for improvement or something GreyBox Creative could have done differently?Nah. GreyBox Creative is an amazing boutique firm I'd recommend to anyone for genuinely high-quality design services.

The team is awesome and easy to work with. Most of all, they have an extremely experienced, strategic, client-centric team that's enjoyable to work with. BACKGROUNDPlease describe your company and your position there.I'm a partner at Catchword, a leading naming and branding agency.OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGEFor what projects/services did your company hire GreyBox Creative, and what were your goals?Catchword has partnered with GreyBox Creative on several company branding projects in the last few years. This review will be mostly focused on the naming and visual identity creation for a cancer detection platform. Catchword developed the name and GreyBox provided the creative work establishing the visual identity system. We worked collaboratively throughout the process for this particular project as well other projects that are similar in scope. To this day, as we continue to collaborate with GreyBox Creative and consider them a trusted partner.SOLUTIONHow did you select this vendor?A few years ago, I reached out to GreyBox to discuss possible collaborations as we recognized that having a trusted design partner would be an asset to us and our clients. Their creative design expertise and process has fit like a glove for us since there is a mutual respect for what we both do. To this day, we continue to wow each other and strive to do deliver the best solutions for our clients. We are always looking to improve our combined process and the way we work together.Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.Their scope was to design a visual identity system that included logo concepts to final execution and delivery of stationery system, brand guidelines and a presentation template for use by the client’s internal sales and marketing teams. The GreyBox team was in sync with our process offering their design perspective during the tail-end of the naming process while we kept in sync throughout the creative execution process. How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?Like Catchword, GreyBox is an extremely experienced team. There were three or four people involved from the GreyBox side. Vincent Fatato, Founder/President and Remo Strada Creative Director, served as our main points of contact throughout the process presenting all key deliverables and coordinating the work on their end.RESULTS & FEEDBACKCan you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success? After completing a number of projects with GreyBox, and being involved in the creative process, we have been extremely impressed with their their team and the work they do, and we can understand why they’re one of the most sought after agencies in the design space. To see the creative process in the works, including the literally dozens of logo ideas developed during the early stages of the conceptual process, has really impressed us. Ultimately, and in every client engagement, there were more than a handful of truly compelling design concepts, the hardest part perhaps being how to choose just a few to focus on and recommend! Without question, our combined skillsets have resulted in wonderful brand solutions (naming + design) and extremely happy clients.Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.GreyBox is an extremely responsive group, all seasoned business and design professionals. They know how to engage our shared clients, guide them through the design process, and ensure everyone’s on the same page about next steps. We and our clients are always perfectly in the loop and aligned on things related to the design work. What did you find most impressive or unique about this company? The GreyBox team seems to be very much like ourselves; strategic thinkers, creative, highly responsive, client-centric, really true experts in their field. We really respect them and enjoy working together. However, perhaps most importantly, what always impresses us the most is the incredibly thoughtful, “purposeful,” and BEAUTIFUL design ideas they develop. They’re a world-class creative services agency with an incredible amount of passion and talent for what they do.Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?Nah. Hire them. They’re awesome.STAR RATINGS:Overall rating:    They're five stars all the way!Quality:    Always outstandingCost:    Extremely reasonable, especially given the quality of their workSchedule:    Always responsive and timelyWilling to refer:    I wouldn't hesitate to recommend GreyBox

Please include a summary of key deliverables.GreyBox Advertising was entrusted with the responsibility of creating a comprehensive brand manual for Tanzania Commercial Bank, aimed at establishing a strong and unified brand identity. This manual will detail both the visual and verbal elements of the bank's branding, covering essential components such as logo application, typography, and color palette, ensuring that all brand visuals maintain consistency and clarity. In addition, the scope includes defining the tone of voice and messaging framework, aligning the bank’s communications to resonate with its core values and target audience. The brand manual will serve as a strategic tool to guide internal and external stakeholders in maintaining uniformity across all marketing materials, digital platforms, and corporate communications, ultimately enhancing the bank’s presence and fostering customer trust.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?Brand Consistency Score: Track the percentage of marketing materials and communications adhering to the brand guidelines. A target score of 90-100% consistency across all channels would indicate successful adoption.Reduced Design Time: Measure the time reduced by design and marketing teams to create branded materials, as a clear and comprehensive brand manual should streamline the process.Increased Engagement on Digital Platforms: Track any rise in engagement metrics (e.g., clicks, likes, shares) on digital platforms following consistent branding, as a stronger brand identity can drive higher engagement.Audience Brand Recognition: Use surveys or social media sentiment analysis to assess whether external audiences can recognize and associate the brand’s identity with Tanzania Commercial Bank. However, there is room for improvement in terms of the manual's scope. It could be more comprehensive by including for example, a detailed guideline for both internal and external signage, offering clear direction on how the brand should be represented in physical spaces. Expanding the manual to cover signage design would ensure greater consistency across all brand touchpoints, further strengthening the brand’s visual identity.

**Feedback Summary**: GreyBox Creative delivered a cleaner and more streamlined logo, as well as a user-friendly website, so the client was very happy with their work. The team delivered work on time and on budget and was very patient along the way. Moreover, they were communicative and suggested excellent ideas.
""Vincent and his team were dynamite, from providing ideas to creating the best verbiage for the website.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I'm the co-owner of ABL & Associates.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?GreyBox Creative redeveloped our website. We were an antiquated family business, so we needed a refreshing. Our business was founded in 1978, so we were trying to get up with the new times by launching a new website with a cleaner look to achieve more brand awareness. Our website doesn't really generate business for us, so creating a new website could seem counterintuitive. People don't go to our website after looking on Google for a mechanical contractor. We already have a good reputation, and our business is more based on relationships. Thus, we wanted this website so that new clients in town who already knew us could look for us online and not find an outdated website.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?GreyBox Creative created a new website for us. Their work included adding content to the site. Still, in addition to building the new website, they rebranded our logo. One of the biggest features GreyBox Creative implemented was adding a short video, which was very creative of them. Additionally, they added a page where people can apply to work at my company. What is the team composition? The two teammates I dealt the most with were Vincent (Founder & President) and Remo (Creative Director). Remo was in charge of all the creative work behind the project, including the logo rebranding, which took us several meetings over the year. Although both of them were present at all the meetings, Remo was more of the project manager. In addition to them, there were others involved, so we dealt with a total of four people throughout the process. For example, there was someone in charge of writing the content for the site. However, I'm not sure if that person was part of their team or an external contractor. How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?I found them through a referral. How much have you invested with them? The cost of the project was $15,000.What is the status of this engagement? We started working together around November 2022, and the project was completed in April 2024. It was an over-a-year process, but it had nothing to do with GreyBox Creative. It was more on us, as we spent time providing them with information and images and having them waiting for our approval. We got very busy at times, and they were very patient with us.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?GreyBox Creative was able to redevelop our site, and we were more than pleased with the result; we were very happy with their work. Speaking about our logo, their team brought what was a 1970s–1980s logo and cleaned it up, making it look more streamlined.GreyBox Creative did the same thing to our website. They truly brought us to the forefront of what we needed. Now, our website is very easy to navigate and has a lot of information on it. We've already received great compliments on the video of our site and how well our staff is portrayed in the field as they install equipment. Overall, they did a phenomenal job.Still, it's too early to notice the benefits of this project. As mentioned, our main goal was to increase our brand awareness. However, we're still implementing the new logo. I have 50 trucks on the road, so we're in the process of changing hard hats and other equipment to reflect the new brand. How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?GreyBox Creative delivered on time and on budget, and they communicated well with us. I want to reiterate that the project delays were our fault for not responding quickly to them, so the project length had nothing to do with their work.As for communication tools, we used a combination of phone calls, emails, and virtual calls. Email exchanges represented around 70% of our communication with them. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?I can't say enough good things about Vincent and Remo. They were a solid team and answered questions along the way. We're not a tech company, so technology goes over my head. Still, they educated me on what my company needed. They also interacted with our IT person to implement signature pages for emails. Thanks to them, the project was seamless — they did a fantastic job. What did you find most impressive about them?Vincent and his team were dynamite, from providing ideas to creating the best verbiage for the website. For example, they suggested hiring a professional photographer to do site and office photo sessions, after which they incorporated the new photos on the site. Are there any areas they could improve? There was nothing GreyBox Creative could have improved on; they were solid throughout.Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?Keep the communication lines open. We had a moving target throughout the process because, although a website development project seemed simple, I didn't realize how much work it would take on our end to make the project successful. There was a lot of communication needed throughout the process so that they could accomplish our goals.

We initially set the project in stages and worked with them to come up with the concepts and core ideas behind the company. They gave us their opinion on our identity from a branding standpoint. Then, GreyBox Creative worked through every step to build out the imagery and logos. We mainly communicate via emails and phone calls. Additionally, there are some shared Google Docs to show the progress. What did you find most impressive about them?GreyBox Creative has a relatively small team, so they’re very invested. We feel that we get their full attention so we don’t get lost in the mix. **Feedback Summary**: Thanks to GreyBox Creative, the client gained a visual identity that effectively represented their organization. The client also received positive feedback from internal and external stakeholders. The team was highly creative and managed the project well, fully understanding the client’s goals.
"“They helped us position ourselves in the best way possible with the new brand for the museum’s growth.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the VP of marketing for Intrepid Museum.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative? We were rebranding the museum from our logo and mark to our creative campaigns. Our team needed to come up with a whole new look and feel that best represented the direction we were going. Given that, we hired GreyBox Creative to work in tandem with another vendor to help us realize a new visual identity for the museum. Our goals included increasing brand awareness and engagement for the museum. It had been around 20 years since we underwent a rebrand, and the museum has grown a lot since then. Given that, our main objective was to gain a visual identity, messaging, and branding that best fit what the museum was in the present day. The branding should allow the museum to reach audiences.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?GreyBox Creative worked on everything related to our visual identity, including fonts, font packages, color palettes, and more. They created a style guide that determined how we could use the assets and photography to leverage our new brand identity. Other deliverables included business cards, stationery, and other collateral for our various departments. Once we had this visual identity, GreyBox Creative helped us deliver general mission and membership campaigns as well as other campaigns on the digital, print, and social sides. Meanwhile, the other vendor primarily handled the strategic side of the project, but GreyBox Creative was involved in every step of the process. They took the lead when we focused on the aforementioned campaigns, helping us incorporate creative messaging into the assets and campaigns. What is the team composition? We mainly worked with Vincent (Founder & President), and our lead on the creative was Remo (Creative Director). They were our main points of contact, although other team members were working behind the scenes. How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative? We sent an RFP for the project and identified the GreyBox Creative team through referrals from other cultural museums that worked with them in the city. We needed an agency that was in close proximity to the museum so we could meet frequently with them and give them a better understanding of who and what we were. How much have you invested with them? Our agreement was with GreyBox Creative and the other vendor. Collectively, our investment was around $200,000–$900,000. What is the status of this engagement? The engagement lasted from November 2022–December 2023.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We launched the new brand in October 2023 alongside a website we built with another firm. Anecdotally, the brand was well-received by our partners and donors. Our internal staff and other people liked the final product, and we leveraged it for various uses right off the bat. How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?GreyBox Creative managed the project well. They were organized and good at taking our feedback and making corrections. They also gave their feedback in terms of what would work better and what was best for the brand they created. Everything was articulated well. We primarily used Zoom for our weekly meetings, although we had a couple of on-site meetings in the beginning. Some of our larger stakeholder meetings were facilitated on-site, too. Remo was the lead visionary for the creative process, and he did a great job balancing everything he was digesting. As one of the larger museums in the city, we were a complicated institution and blended many business facets. We had various departments working with grant projects and programmatic arms. In other words, we had a complicated brand, and Remo did great in understanding those components and coming up with creative approaches. Overall, the products they delivered were insightful and forward-thinking; they helped us position ourselves in the best way possible with the new brand for the museum’s growth. What did you find most impressive about them? They had highly creative teammates. I was impressed with their ability to think outside the box and provide us with options, which allowed us to see a wide variety of interpretative styles. Specifically, they did a great job at logo design and development; they also performed well in coming up with campaigns and developing copy and headlines. They took the brand they created and translated it into smart campaigns. Are there any areas they could improve? No, there weren’t any. If anything, they did a great job listening to us and working through the speed bumps we had every once in a while. That was great, considering that we had a lot of voices within our organization — they had to deal with a committee of 7–8 stakeholders from different disciplines within the museum. Do you have any advice for potential customers?Be open to GreyBox Creative and let them know if you have strong positions one way or the other. Articulate who and what your organization is. This is the most important part of the engagement — being clear about who you are will help them hone in on the best approach to your visual identity.  Moreover, be open to concepts that are vastly different from what you’re used to; this can be difficult from a client’s perspective, especially those who have been with a brand for so long. It can be hard to look at unique concepts with an open mind. My advice is to step away from your current brand and understand the purpose of the engagement. Be clear about your goals and audience, and the team will give you creative ideas.

**Feedback Summary**: GreyBox Creative delivered a brand identity that surpassed the client's expectations; stakeholders were thrilled with their outputs. The team communicated openly with the client and led progress meetings via Zoom. They provided extremely good services despite the company's relatively small budget.
""We felt the whole way along that they valued working with us." "

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the VP of Finance & Strategy for Scratch Music Group. The company is a leader in DJ performance and education services, each operating under sister brand names.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire GreyBox Creative, and what were your goals?

Scratch was looking to do a comprehensive brand re-vamp for its Scratch Events division, including a deep dive on brand identity and name, and carrying through to a new logo, visual identity, website, etc. We wanted to give life to a brand that for too long had operated in the shadows as a B2B.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

Clutch reviews were instrumental in finding an initial group of 4-5 agencies we felt could handle a comprehensive project, so that they could in-house work stretching from the identity to design ends. I vetted the final group via other online sources and their own websites, before conducting intro calls, and selecting a partner that clearly jumped out to us as the best fit.

Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.

Greybox Creative partnered with Limbic Brand Evolution, which conducted the brand identity half of the scope of work. Greybox was present as observer/shaper for this half, and then picked up at the mid-way from the output of the identity work to take over the 2nd phase, and had the task of producing: a new logo; a new core visual identity including fonts, colors, etc.;

Website templating in design form for a front page and 2 additional internal pages; applying the visual identity and key messaging from the brand hierarchy to a selection of 1-pager PDF sales collateral templates; the compilation of all the design and messaging features into a comprehensive brand guidelines document.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The design work was led by Remo, Creative Director, and the entire project was overseen and facilitated by Vincent, Founder/President.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were thrilled with the output of the work. We are a small company with no in-house marketing or branding expertise to guide us, and had little experience with a project of this nature or budget. The entire new brand identity that was delivered exceeded our expectations. Every time we pushed them to take a concept a little bit deeper, or to put a different spin on it, they nailed it.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We kept a very open line of communications. The typical cycle would be each week having the Greybox and Scratch teams meet via Zoom to go over new progress, then discussing understanding of next steps, then waiting to correspond via email until we were ready to repeat the cycle again.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive part for Scratch was the feeling like we were working with a partner who was too good for us. We thought during the initial pitch, and even at the end, that this agency was too good and too well-regarded to work with a small company on a relatively small budget. Despite that, we felt the whole way along that they valued working with us, and were happy to have us as a client/partner.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The project extended for longer than was agreed in the SOW. It was ultimately no issue for either party, but it would have been good to have better alignment of expectations between the scope and the timeline.

For what projects/services did your company hire GreyBox Creative, and what were your goals?

After working through the naming of the entity with their partners, we had to establish a visual identity for the company that captured the essence of our organization and ensure that it would represent us well during the expansion planned for the years ahead. **Feedback Summary**: The company was happy with GreyBox Creative. Stakeholders were pleased with the logo. The team delivered the project on time and were good to work with — their efficiency was a highlight of the engagement. They communicated well through emails and Teams. Overall, the project was highly successful.
"“GreyBox was easy to work with and delivered on time.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the EVP and group head of a global communications firm's corporate and biotech department. We’re in the integrated communications and PR industry.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

We had a client that needed to develop a product name; they also needed a logo developed for the new name. After hiring a naming company, we needed a company that could develop a logo quickly.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We developed the product name with our naming partner. Then, GreyBox took us through their process, interviewing us about the brand. They came back with their brief, and we provided additional feedback on it once they had drafted the logo. The team also provided a small set of branding guidelines for the application of the logo.

What is the team composition?

We worked with two people from GreyBox: Vincent (Founder & President) and Remo (Creative Director)

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

The naming company we hired recommended GreyBox to us; one of our colleagues had previously worked with the team. As a result, we decided to engage them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $25,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from June–October 2022.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

GreyBox was easy to work with and delivered on time. We liked what they did, and the end client chose the logo they created to use in the product. Overall, everyone was satisfied with the quality of their work.

How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

To communicate, we mainly used Teams and emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their efficiency was impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

GreyBox is a casual group, which is good. On the other hand, I’m used to having a little more rigor when tackling projects. I prefer a more buttoned-up style.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Brief GreyBox thoroughly and participate in their brand briefing process. That way, you’ll be absolutely sure that they have the right information going forward. On top of that, allow them to present their own work to the end client. This is helpful since they can hear the client’s feedback directly and not through another set of ears.

**Feedback Summary**: The client praises them for supporting their brand during a key development stage, and even more for quickly scaling calls and conversions beyond the break-even point. GreyBox Creative provides regular check-ins and multi-channel communication. They are an attentive and personable partner.
""If you go to them with seed, then they’ll make it into a flower, bringing to life what’s in your head." "

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and founder of Teleful. We help new homeowners see and choose from available options for cable, internet, and home security. They call my call center or put in their address online, and we give them the options in their area. Then, they can choose freely from packages pricing and providers, and we handle setup.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox

I went to them for help with our web development and design, as well as digital marketing and branding.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They’ve been with me since the beginning, walking me through the development and design of my website and branding. I was given different views of the website as they were designing it, and they let me choose from a number of logo options.

The site launched three months ago, and GreyBox is now doing digital marketing including PPC and social media marketing.

What is the team composition?

Vincent (Director of Business Development) is one of our key people, as are Remo (Creative Director), Gaelen (Head of Strategic Online Sales), and Jordan (Digital Marketing Strategist). At the height of the project, there were about 5–6 people on the calls, each dedicated to a specific part of the project.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

I heard that they were reputable through a friend who’d worked with them before. After performing due diligence on Google, I reached out to Vincent with my ideas to see where he would go. He gave me a strong vision of the site, design, logo, and marketing.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $50,000–$60,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since January 2021.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I give them a lot of credit for helping build my brand. We went live on the site three months ago — and sometimes marketing takes time to get going, but we’ve done well with Google Ads from the jump. My business needs around 3–4 sales per day to break even, and I’ve been receiving 15–20 calls per day with a good conversion rate. We’re targeting all the right people and population segments.

How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

We have biweekly calls with the marketing team to adjust campaigns if needed, and there were weekly calls while we were developing the website. GreyBox’s team is on top of everything we need. Their web development team hasn’t even stayed in touch with me since the launch.

They hit the budget right on target and have stayed with us throughout the whole process, which has put my mind at ease. Communication happens of phone calls, texts, emails, and Zoom meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re attention to detail and attention to the person stand out. GreyBox feels out what I’d like them to do and then expands upon those ideas. If you go to them with seed, then they’ll make it into a flower, bringing to life what’s in your head.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not at this time. They’ve been great thus far.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They know what they’re doing and will make your idea into the goal, even if you can’t articulate it. You want them in your corner.

**Feedback Summary**: The partner has seen an ROI in sales and their brand awareness has significantly increased. GreyBox Creative exemplifies active listening and implementation. They maintain regular communication and run a smooth process. Attentiveness and responsiveness are hallmarks of their work.
"“Their listening, application, and quality are what separates them from others.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of a nonprofit. Our mission is to advance community-based supports. The program we’re in is a consumer-directed personal assistance program. It’s a Medicaid program for consumers who are seniors or people with disabilities who have need for personal care.

They’re able to self-hire their own workers to perform those tasks for them. It creates independence, autonomy, and ultimately leads to a better quality of care and cost-effectiveness.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

Our organization had never done marketing before. I took over as CEO and wanted to get our name out through rebranding, brochures, and logo design. The objective was to market the program because we found out not many people knew about it.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

GreyBox Creative first handled a complete rebranding initiative. They created our logo and new brochure in a couple of forms; one is a pamphlet-style and another is a booklet. Their team revamped the content and visuals.

GreyBox Creative has also created some one-pagers. We get calls from potential clients and like to give them something as a takeaway. The one-pager serves as a factsheet that those potential clients can receive electronically or through the mail. It presents key facts about our organizations and what sets us apart.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

I was seeking a company that wouldn’t need a lot of back-and-forths. The less time I spend re-explaining myself through the back and forth, the better. I was looking for a company that’d ask questions at the point in time when I say something or give direction.

Then, I’d receive a draft and all the details would be pretty much there, with the exception of a couple of changes here and there. That’s what GreyBox Creative offered me. They expressed that when they give me a product, they listen and bring it to 95% of what I’d expect of a first draft.

After some searching on Google, I narrowed down five companies. I selected them because after visiting their website and seeing their testimonials and branding, they really struck me. I called each company, assessed, and made a determination of what I felt was best for our needs — and that was GreyBox Creative.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between $12,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement started around November 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

GreyBox Creative has shown great attentiveness and listening skills. Their ability to listen and then apply those requirements by producing a deliverable at first glance is above par. Additionally, the quality of their products is excellent. GreyBox Creative produces high-quality products that communicate our message to the recipient.

We’re seeing a good ROI on the marketing dollars we’ve spent. We’ve seen an uptick in clients as well as more sales. We’ve received great feedback about our branding, brochures, and logo. People are seeing us and our brand presence has definitely grown. There are more eyes on us, and we’re more noticeable now.

How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management has been excellent. We communicate through email, Zoom, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their listening, application, and quality are what separates them from others. The reason we switched to GreyBox Creative is why we’re still there today.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take the risk. Marketing is a big leap of faith because you don’t know what you’re going to get until you do. Take the leap with GreyBox Creative, and they’ll make you successful.

""We felt that we were getting the best in every area of the project because of their team."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a sales associate with the Coleman Group.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

We needed help creating a brand, building a website, and managing SEO campaigns.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

GreyBox presented three different options for our brand identity and explained their rationale behind each one. We then chose the direction in which we wanted to go, and they built out our brand identity, including logo and tagline.

Their team also created business cards, folders, note cards, listing presentation sheets, and other print collateral.

They also built our website using WordPress. Their team managed design and development. They linked the website to MLS and Google Maps API to show properties’ locations. Now, they’re in charge of our SEO campaigns and are assisting us with design for additional web and print collateral (i.e. newsletters, sign riders, email signature, etc).

What is the team composition?

Our project manager’s Vincent (Founder & President) who oversees the rest of the team that includes developers, designers, and branding consultants.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

I used Clutch, another resource, and Google to search for a partner. I liked that GreyBox was smaller and experienced in the real estate industry. They also had positive reviews.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $10,000–$50,000 on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together around September 2019, and it’s ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

GreyBox listened to our ideas, learned about our team, and then created vision boards for our team and each team member. Using the vision boards, they created designs and aesthetics for the brand that highlighted our shared values and approach to our work, while letting our individual personalities also shine through. Their team was able to capture who we are and how we serve our clients. We love the look and feel of the website and all of our new print collateral.

How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re extremely responsive, answering our emails within the hour. We never wait a day for a response. The project took longer than planned, which was partially due to COVID.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Greybox is an extremely talented team of experts in creative design, branding and website development that are passionate about the results they deliver to clients. We felt that we were getting the best in every area of the project because of their team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

At times, it took extra effort for us to stay on top of communication because many different people became involved in the project.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Opt for the in-person kickoff meeting with the Greybox team. Think about the right deliverables for your company. Make sure you have the time to help oversee and input into the process to maximize the value-add the Greybox team can bring to your business.

We rely on Greybox Creative for branding our restaurants and implementing these brands across the channels we want to market to most.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They spearheaded the branding process from ideation to execution. I gave them my ideas, and they dissected the brand’s goals and value propositions. They took these foundational ideas and apply them to our logo, website, and collateral design. They’ve even conducted SEO for us.

I've known Vincent since childhood. We ran into each other literally days after I began looking for an agency.

Our restaurant has been full every day since it’s opened, and I can attribute some of our success to their efforts.

How did Greybox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They communicated brilliantly. They’re detailed, deadline-oriented, and extremely specific.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I wish I could be on top of my own game as much as they’re on theirs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

An improvement would be difficult because every aspect of the project came out swimmingly. I can’t think of how they could’ve done a better job.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a strong idea of what you want. Depending on the industry, it helps to have some clarity around your expectations. Be able to sit and passionately communicate your goals.

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a partner at a real estate company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

We’ve worked with GreyBox Creative for about seven years, but about a year ago, we needed help launching a new company.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

GreyBox Creative built a WordPress website for our new company. They also did branding and designed the logo. We were given a few logo options, and we chose the one we liked best. Similarly, they presented 2–3 website mockups, we selected the one we wanted, and we went from there.

What is the team composition?

I work with different people. Stephen (Director of Online Marketing, GreyBox Creative) operates separately from the rest of the team in his online marketing work. Gaelen (Director Web Development, GreyBox Creative) is the IT person and works on the site’s backend. Remo (Creative Director, GreyBox Creative) is the designer and has done all of our logos. Finally, if I need further coordination or we experience a challenge, I involve Vincent (Founder & President, GreyBox Creative).

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

I did a lot of research to find the right candidate to help develop my business. I also hired a second party to assist in making this selection, and the result was GreyBox Creative. The quality of their design work set them apart.

What is the status of this engagement?

My company began working with GreyBox Creative in 2013, and our partnership is ongoing. The big project they did last year lasted 4–5 months.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their work has always been highly regarded by my clients. I definitely attribute an increase in brand awareness to them.

How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very efficient in their communication; I’ve never had any issues in this regard. We talk over the phone or email depending on what’s needed. The owner gets involved as needed; if I leave him a message, he calls me back, which I appreciate. They build a relationship with their client.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed by the quality of their design work. They’ve always done fantastic work for me. Their process is smooth, straightforward, and dynamic.

Are there any areas they could improve?

GreyBox Creative delivers what they say they will, so I haven’t seen a flipside. They don’t over-promise or get involved in things they can’t manage. They’ve offered design, branding, and website development to my company, and they’ve delivered.

Any advice for potential customers?

GreyBox Creative does very well at managing the partnership, so there’s no need to advise a third-party on how to handle that. They flawlessly build client relationships.

We don’t have an in-house graphic designer, and we had a couple of projects that required design services.

**SOLUTION**

GreyBox Creative designs our complete gala suite each year. The literary gala is our largest fundraiser, and GreyBox Creative’s team designs the program book and any stationary related to the event, including the invitation suite and letterhead. They work on the designs for the gala collateral in October or November through May, when the gala takes place.

They also design the hardcopy invitations for our author evenings, a series of about 35 dinners throughout the season. We engage GreyBox Creative for this work in November or December, and the invitations go out to a large list of people at the beginning of January.

GreyBox Creative has helped other public programming teams within our organization by designing print collateral for different events. They base their designs off of our brand guidelines.

What is the team composition?

We work with two of the partners at GreyBox Creative.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

When I joined my organization, they were already working with GreyBox Creative. After reaching out to them and seeing their work, I was happy with their work. It didn’t make sense to look at other vendors because GreyBox Creative knew the organization and our work.

Their designs are beautiful. The invitations always look amazing.

How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re great to work with. There’s a lot of back and forth, and my team sends a lot of edits and changes, but they handle everything gracefully and professionally.

What did you find most impressive about them?

GreyBox Creative does great work, and they’re really nice people. They’re also great about incorporating our brand guidelines into their designs. Working with them is always a pleasure.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really. They’re great.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire GreyBox Creative?

Our goal was to freshen up our company aesthetic.

I interviewed three different agencies, and GreyBox Creative was the most impressive. They were more organized and detail-oriented than the other vendors that I considered. They were also able to work within my budget.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We started the partnership with a discovery call so that GreyBox Creative could assess my needs. After I delivered my requirements, they presented me with a budget and a detailed scope of work that was broken down into phases.

We approved their plan, and they started producing designs. They created a new logo, revamped our website, and designed graphics and decals for our trucks.

""Their team has played a major role in my success, and I would not open another business without them."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of Union Burger Bar, a high-end restaurant in Southampton, New York.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

I wanted to give my town something that it was lacking, and I needed the right branding team to help me launch my idea.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

I came into this project with a very clear understanding of what I would need from their team. I walked Vincent (Founder & President, GreyBox Creative) and Remo (Creative Director, GreyBox Creative) through my business plan, and we reached a consensus regarding the direction we were going to take. Their team provided branding services for my restaurant, and they developed a strategy to engage an affluent clientele.

What is the team composition?

I worked closely with Vincent and Remo throughout the project.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

I first learned about GreyBox Creative after running into Vincent, who is a childhood friend of mine. This happened right as I was planning to open another venue, and I brought his team on to create a full package of branding and marketing materials. This first project was a complete success, and I knew Vincent and his team would be the right branding partner for my next endeavor.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our work began in December 2018, and my restaurant opened in January 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since opening, I’ve been able to generate a very high level of revenue. I'm attracting the clients that I want, and my restaurant is regularly filled to capacity.

How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They were extremely responsive, and I was able to reach out to them via phone call, email, or text. We also held many in-person meetings and video chats, which were very helpful in terms of evaluating deliverables.

What did you find most impressive about them?

In terms of their work, the speed with which they completed the project is astonishing. Branding is typically a lengthy and complicated process, especially in the hospitality industry, where the majority of businesses fail within the first two years. Their team delivered everything I asked for in less than two months, and the quality of their work is comparable to that of a multi-billion-dollar company.

Also, the level of comfort and confidence that I’ve felt with their team has been outstanding. I’ve learned so much from them about digital marketing, specifically search engine optimization. They’ve also kept in touch since the restaurant opened, and they appear to be genuinely invested in our success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If there were an area where they could improve, I would’ve told them, but I can’t say that I found one. They were fantastic. Their team has played a major role in my success, and I would not open another business without them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a clear idea of what you’re hoping to achieve, and be willing to learn the nuances of branding and strategy. Detailed planning is essential if you want to see your project succeed. Also, if you clearly articulate your goals, their team will be able to support you effectively and push your business forward.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the managing director at a financial services company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Greybox Creative?

We needed help with numerous branding projects across our organization and products.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Greybox Creative has worked on the branding and the design of our various marketing materials. They developed an image in our marketplace that institutionalized our firm and highlighted the large infrastructure of our organization and products. They also worked on improving the quality of our print materials, such as presentation decks and one-pagers. Beyond that, they also redesigned our website that allowed us to confidently go sell our funds.

What is the team composition?

We mainly interacted with the owner and a few other designers that were experienced and lead the process.

How did you come to work with Greybox Creative?

We’d heard of their capabilities in the marketplace, so we hired them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent over $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I’ve been working with them since the 1990s.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

For some projects, we’ve seen assets more than double year over year after engaging with them. We’ve had some great successes in our partnership.

How did Greybox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly communicate with the owner and other senior staff, which allows for effective project management and information sharing. They almost always meet deadlines or let us know if there will be a delay.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understand the financial marketplace, which informs their designs and makes our partnership much better. Unlike other firms, they take the time to understand our business goals to determine the best solution. They’re also incredibly patient with us whenever we change directions or adjust our requirements.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can't name anything.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Figure out the long-term goals and milestones so that the project doesn’t change once you begin your partnership.

"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of community events at a Pre-K through 12th-grade independent school. I handle all fundraising events and efforts.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

We hired GreyBox Creative to help us create a visual identity for our annual gala. We needed all the materials to reflect the theme for the event.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

GreyBox Creative helped us form the identity for our gala. They created materials that aligned with the new theme for the event. The invitation, stationery, program, invitations, logo, and website were all designed and built by their team. Additionally, they made specific items related to the theme of journeys, which included stamps. The team gave us several options for each piece and incorporated our feedback into the visuals. They’re currently transitioning our website from an active platform to an archive.

What is the team composition?

Vincent (Founder & President, GreyBox Creative) and Remo (Creative Director, GreyBox Creative) are our main points of contact. Several people are working on the project, including designers and teammates who worked remotely.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

We were using a company for our previous galas, but we wanted to hire a more creative team. Our guidelines allowed us to move further from our typical brand, so we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to work with GreyBox Creative.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in June 2018, and it’s ongoing. We’re still in the process of making changes to our website, but the project will be complete after that.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve received great compliments from parents, board members, and invitees on this year’s materials. GreyBox Creative elevated the printed work, so our invitations were striking and matched the digital version. All of the work they created translated beautifully.

How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re extremely responsive—we primarily communicate through email and the phone. We had several calls to determine our priorities and discuss our goals. They were patient and understanding with our team. The most helpful aspect was their willingness to incorporate our feedback and ideas into their work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are a group of professionals. Their honesty and helpful nature make them a wonderful team to work with. When we were figuring out the font size and materials for the program, they were transparent about how our choices would look and if something wasn’t possible. All of our feedback is listened to, and they pay close attention to our needs.

Additionally, they provided insight into what is visually impactful and what is actually useful for our materials. In creating stationery, GreyBox Creative had an eye for what would be the best format for people to use while still finding it appealing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Based on the feedback from our co-chairs, we’d love to see even more creativity in every project. Ultimately, the entire project translates very well and they are a useful, great partner.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

In your feedback, be honest. Give them a clear timeline and have exact deadlines for when you need materials delivered.

"“I’m incredibly pleased with their work; the designs are clean and clear.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m one of the founders of a global technology services company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?
Our business had been around for nearly 10 years, so we wanted to better define our brand and execute it on our website, logo, and other materials.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?
GreyBox Creative helped define our brand strategy, which led to our website layout description. They then created five logos, and one of them immediately stood out. We selected that, and GreyBox Creative assisted us with the copyright as we registered it. Once that was clear, they built the website and made it cohesive with our new brand identity.
What is the team composition?
We had one main point of contact and also worked with a designer and a developer.
How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?
We found them online. We liked their work, so we hired them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from March 2017–September 2018. Prior to this, they sat in on brand discussions, but we hadn't engaged them yet.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m incredibly pleased with their work; the designs are clean and clear. They took our concept and effectively translated it into a great design. We just recently unveiled the new brand and site, and we’ve gotten positive feedback. It’s improved company morale and culture, which is exactly what we wanted.
How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?
They were always available and responsive, working to meet our timeline and schedule. We usually communicated via email and phone and the occasional spreadsheet. They also had an internal website where we could log in, review designs, and provide comments.
What did you find most impressive about them?
By sitting in on the initial brand discussions before we engaged them, they understood our company and our goals. As soon as we engaged them for design, this understanding was reflected in the logo and website designs they presented to us. Their design was high quality, and they were incredibly easy to communicate with. They changed anything we asked for, which showed their dedication to our project.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, but if I mentioned a problem, they would’ve gladly fixed it.

GreyBox Creative partnered well with other outside firms to work toward the project’s goal. They feature a talented collection of designers, who adjusted well to last-minute changes.
""They have a group of talented designers, and, as a whole, they work well with other firms on any given project."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the founder and president of ondemandCMO. We offer corporate branding strategies and marketing solutions.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

We were in the process of helping a client transition through a rebranding. We brought in a separate company for name generation, and we worked with GreyBox Creative for graphic design and brand identity services.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided the client with three choices for design direction, they narrowed it to one, and GreyBox created the marque and a distinguishing logo. They developed an image library and new corporate colors, and they executed the marque on sample marketing deliverables such as email blasts, advertisements, brochures, and posters.

What is the team composition?

We worked with the president and the creative director.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

I had worked with their president on previous naming projects while he managed the brand identity. I respect their work. We have graphic design capabilities in-house, but because this was a new brand, I wanted to bring on GreyBox’s more sophisticated sensibility.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

GreyBox’s contributions to this rebranding project were largely seen from February through April 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have received high praise for the newly implemented designs. The agency that was brought in for website design incorporated several of GreyBox’s elements into the digital space.

How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They adapted well to a changing scheduling and set of goals from the client.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a group of talented designers, and, as a whole, they work well with other firms on any given project.

Any advice for potential customers?

The parameters of the project should be detailed from the beginning to ensure the highest quality of work.

General Manager, Corporate Fitness Model
- Industry: Other industries

- Client size: 1-10 Employees
- Review Type: Phone Interview
- Verified

**The Review** — Mar 6, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: The web design and marketing have been successful, with the GreyBox team working hard to understand the service and how it can best be marketed to users. They were patient and happy to rework aspects as required, while always responding quickly and professionally.
"“We’ve never been disappointed by an initiative or project that GreyBox took part in.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a corporate fitness model catering to midtown firms. The business is setup as an in-house or on-site fitness facility that provides workout clothing and custom permanent lockers. I’m a general manager of the club, in charge of sales. I manage it along with another person, who is in charge of operations.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox?

We wanted to create more awareness on the general market. Historically, most of our business has come from one building and its surroundings. We were looking to reach a broader audience around our neighborhood, specifically women. Right now, we have around 1,300 members, 80% of which are men.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

GreyBox stepped in to provide a more creative approach to our goal. Generally speaking, they worked on giving our overall brand a bit of an upgrade. We were a bit plain, particularly in terms of the website, which they revamped in its entirety.
We had a face-to-face meeting with their team, they had a tour of the club and used its facilities, and they talked to our members and conducted surveys. Their research was focused on understanding our model and product—where we were and where we wanted to go, in terms of broadening our demographic and bringing the services and look of the club to a more state-of-the-art place. They determined how we could differentiate ourselves from a basic fitness center.

Besides the website, they produced some signage graphics and email templates. The main focus was on the reconstruction of our services, amenities, schedules and staffing. It was quite an undertaking, considering that we’d had the same website since 1996. They had to start from square one.

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with Vincent Fatato, their founder and president. We have also dealt with some resources based in the Philippines. Stephen Ruisi-Boccone [CMO] is our contact for any site edits and creative work.

How did you come to work with GreyBox?

We were referred to them by our sister company, which is owned by the same real estate company. We interviewed three or four companies in total, but they won us over because of the level of intimacy they provided. GreyBox was a smaller agency, and they could pay more attention to us and view see us as a significant customer.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost was between $50,000 and $100,000. We worked out a budget for website development and subsequent edits. They bill us on a case-by-case basis.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them several years ago.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I don’t have any quantifiable metrics, but, subjectively speaking, we’re happy with what they created in terms of web design and marketing. They aim to please in terms of turnaround time, responsiveness, and getting us what we want. There were numerous times when we didn’t get something right the first time, but at the end of the day, we walked away happy. There was never any ill will or frustration, even though we’ve had some challenges. One of the things I appreciate about GreyBox is that they’re personable and patient.

How did GreyBox perform from a project management standpoint?

They made an effort to remain customer service-oriented and learn as much as possible about what we do at the club, in order to help us be successful. They’re very responsive, getting back to us immediately after reaching out by phone or email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve come a long way in terms of learning our product. The fact that they use the club on a regular basis has contributed to this. They took the plunge and they loved it. Their founder is a believer and a part of the team. I don’t know him personally, but he’s a professional person. We’ve never been disappointed by an initiative or project that GreyBox took part in. They’re very proud of what they do and the deliverables show it.

We’ve dealt with other vendors around promotional items, giveaways and so on. Compared to them and based on what I’ve heard from peers in my industry, GreyBox has a fair cost.

Founding Partner, Investment Management Company

**The Review** — Jan 25, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: GreyBox created highly professional and captivating presentations that have received positive feedback from potential clients. Their approach has helped isolate the vision and goals of a startup lacking brand identity. The quality of their work exceeds expectations and their team is great to work with.
""They're professional, fun, and have expertise in all the right areas."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm a founding partner of a private equity investment platform. We're relatively new as of 2015. We now have 10 employees, most of whom left Morgan Stanley to build this new independent business.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

When we first started, we were lacking a corporate identity (i.e., a logo, marketing materials, brand guidelines, etc.). I didn't have any experience working with other creative agencies or design shops, but we wanted to hire a vendor with expertise in building an integrated system to make our firm look less like a startup. We needed help organizing our thoughts and communicating our vision to the market of institutional investors.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

GreyBox encouraged us to invest time in the process of articulating our strategy in a couple of different venues and among different people. They helped unify our voice when it comes to describing our value proposition and created pitch books, marketing materials, and a website.

They were involved in everything from developing collateral and business cards to articulating strategy and creating presentations.

When we first started collaborating, they also designed a single page for our website as a placeholder that we've since gone back to build out with them.

What is the team composition?

Vincent Fatato [Founder and President, GreyBox Creative] was the first guy that spent a lot of time with us, scoping out the project back in 2015. We've also spent a lot of time with Remo Strada [Creative Director, GreyBox Creative], as well as Gaelen Hallenbeck [Director Online Marketing and Web Development].

Remo has worked closely with us on everything and been very thoughtful throughout the process. We're really happy with his work and value his feedback—he's a pro.

How did you come to work with GreyBox?

We found them through online research and references. We felt that many other websites were subpar. You only get on chance to launch a new firm, so it was important we chose wisely. We were willing to invest the money in a shop that was well-resourced and had experience in financial services.

We talked to 7 or 8 companies and interviewed 3 in person, spending some time with GreyBox in New York. We liked their people and the fact that they didn't just offer identity work; they could help with other projects as our business grew. They understood our vision, so we felt like they would be good long-term partners for us.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $18,000 during the first phase and the website accounted for additional $8,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've worked with them since March 2015 and continue to collaborate. The initial project was completed in July 2015.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Most people in the world of finance, particularly from Morgan Stanley where the majority of our team had been working, do presentations in PowerPoint. However, GreyBox's work in Adobe InDesign has brought our presentations to life. We've received tons of qualitative feedback from people we've marketed presentations to. Even groups who've passed on investing with us have commented on the high-quality of our presentations. They're well laid out and captivating. It's been well worth the money.

How did GreyBox perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team consistently met deadlines. Any delays were mostly due to scheduling conflicts on our end.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They've done a good job in asking us questions that have helped us internalize and isolate exactly what we want to highlight about our business.

I tell people all the time, it's been well worth the money. The quality of their work is way beyond our own capabilities—both incredibly creative and professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No.

**Feedback Summary**: The distinguishing element of working with GreyBox Creative is their intent to first listen to their clients to learn about their industry before delivering materials that match and enhance their identity. They are timely with their deliverables and are overall cost-effective.
""GreyBox was very easy to work with. They totally understood what we were about."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

Verify Financial is a new startup that is creating crowdsourced credit reviews and information from the perspective of institutional investors. I’m the director of business development.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

We had a lot of ideas of how we wanted to present ourselves to our target audience. We needed some guidance in presenting a refined, clear picture of our logo, brand, and tagline. We had good material for our pitch books which GreyBox Creative helped us refine in a more presentable format. They helped us to streamline our messaging on our website as well.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They took time to get to know our business and us personally. They asked a lot of questions. They helped us define our message, and came up with some great versions of taglines and logos. The key thing they did was to listen and understand our business and help us reflect that in our branding.

The third phase will be to put a face on our deliverable product. We now have a marketing website that’s up and running, but that will be refined further. We will plug our product into the backend of it.

What is the team dynamic?

Vincent [Founder/President, GreyBox Creative] coordinates from a business perspective. We’ve worked closely with Remo [Creative Director, GreyBox Creative] who’s wonderful. He’s very reactive, timely, and considerate. He’s a pleasure to work with overall. Gaelen [Head of Operations, GreyBox Creative] is the engineer that coordinates with our engineers.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

We had interviewed a lot of branding agencies because we knew what our product was and what we wanted to do, but we didn’t know how we wanted to put that forward to our clientele. GreyBox was very easy to work with. They totally understood what we were about. They took what we told them and came back with a solution. That wasn’t the same with other agencies we talked to. Their website was very clean and user friendly, and that’s another thing that attracted us to them.

This was my first engagement working with an outsourced firm. I’ve worked for other organizations that had in-house teams. It was a learning a process for me. GreyBox gave us some good references to call which was very nice. The process seemed to be similar with a lot of design firms, but the key thing for us was the references and the time they took with us.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $20,000 and $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them a year ago, and the work with them is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They gave us the face to take our business to the next level, so I don’t have any metrics now.

How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

The timeliness of their deliverables was very good. They were good about managing expectations. They always gave us an idea of how long tasks would take.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They took the time to learn our business so they could reflect that in our brand and corporate identity.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. I don’t have enough experience in working with others. We’re satisfied with their work.

**The Review** — Dec 6, 2016

**Feedback Summary**: The client was impressed that GreyBox Creative could take just a simple written description of a concept to create a physical logo that has already received a generous response from its viewers.
""They’re very good at discovering what the meaning of the identity should be and then translating that visually."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of Angle Park, an exhibit media developer for museum and museum-like spaces.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

We had a logo that we’d been using for 15 years. It served its purpose at the time it was created for us, but it was outdated and needed to be freshened up. We engaged GreyBox to create a new logo for us.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

GreyBox Creative piggy-backed on a process we were going through with another marketing agency. They were very good at looking at the discovery and strategy documents from that agency and interpreting them. GreyBox did so in a way that got deeper than it would have been if they had come in cold. It was great that they were good at inferring things from rather esoteric discovery documents.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

We were working with the Tronvig Group that’s also in Brooklyn. We saw that GreyBox’s portfolio was very strong and they were familiar with the process of the organization that we were working with already.

How much have you invested with GreyBox Creative?

We spent under $20,000 for the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with GreyBox in February 2016 and the project was completed in May 2016.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Every single person that knows us and has seen the logo thinks that GreyBox captured us perfectly. They solved a lot of the problems that we had because of our old logo and identity. At trade shows, the logo gets noticed and people stop to comment or ask questions. It has really been a visual upgrade for us.

How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

It was always crystal clear to us what the next steps would be and what GreyBox needed from us.  They were almost always instantly responsive. Because we were so busy, there were some halts during the project. There were a lot of moments I would redirect the scope and they responded very well to those requests. From the concepts that they showed me, I had them refine some things that didn’t end up winning in the end. They were very patient with me when they could’ve easily sent me in another direction. Any delays were on our end.

What did you find most impressive about GreyBox Creative?

They’re very good at discovering what the meaning of the identity should be and then translating that visually. They showed us quite a lot of iterations, all of which were interesting. We all agreed in the end that we chose the best of those concepts. They were able to go from the interpretation of what our brand meant in a verbal or written form all the way through to execution. Not all agencies could’ve made that jump, but GreyBox did it.

The challenge was to improve our web presence. That project eventually grew to strategic positioning of our brand and some rebranding work which included a new logo.

**SOLUTION**
How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

When I first started my company in 2013, I exchanged contact details with a number of branding and web development companies. I first approached GreyBox amongst several others back then. I had chosen a competitor at first and then I subsequently chose GreyBox after working with the competitor for a couple of years.

How much have you invested with GreyBox Creative?

Our investment is between $10,000 and $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The duration of our project with GreyBox went from February to August of 2016.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

So far I can define the success of the project as meeting my goals and needs extremely well. From a metrics standpoint, the website just recently launched and I haven't been monitoring or trying to see what the impact is in terms of traffic. What I can say is that those that have seen the site, including colleagues and business partners and clients whom I have signed since the launch, have spoken very highly of it.

What did you find most impressive about GreyBox Creative?

They were fairly intuitive. They sensed some dissonance with my strategic direction and brand at the beginning and introduced some strategy sessions that helped to refine that. They made the project much simpler. GreyBox excels at orienting on the big picture and being intuitive about our goals and helping to refine them.

Are there any areas GreyBox Creative could improve?

In terms of the product, meaning what I hired them for, the answer is no. I'm still engaged with them on other business matters.

**Feedback Summary**: GreyBox Creative offers a high cost value for their branding services as they take the time to understand their clients' organizations.
""They took the time to understand our organization and thus reflect it fully."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

PEN America is a nonprofit organization that works at the intersection of literature and human rights to protect open expression in the United States and worldwide. We champion the freedom to write, recognizing the power of the word to transform the world. Our mission is to unite writers and their allies to celebrate creative expression and defend the liberties that make it possible.

I serve as the director of communications, and recently oversaw an organization-wide rebranding.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

GreyBox came to us through the brand consulting firm we had engaged. They were commissioned with developing a new logo based on a variety of findings and priorities identified by the consultants. After the logo was established, PEN America also approached GreBox to undertake the brand roll-out, including a package of design deliverables ranging from banners to websites to slideshows to a brand guidelines handbook.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The deliverables GreyBox produced for PEN America included: a new logo for digital and print communications, a unified visual and messaging architecture including fonts and color usage, a new "skin" for PEN.org integrating new visual brand assets, a new PEN informational brochure, and templates for various foundational communications materials.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

GreyBox came to us through the brand consulting firm we had engaged. In the second phase of the project (the brand rollout) we released an RFP [request for proposal] and found GreyBox to be the best bang for our buck.

How much have you invested with GreyBox Creative?

We have spent between $10,000 and $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with GreyBox in February of 2016 and completed the project in June of the same year.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The new visual brand has been fully implemented across all digital and traditional media channels.

What did you find most impressive about GreyBox Creative?

They "got" PEN America. They took the time to understand our organization and thus reflect it fully.

Are there any areas GreyBox Creative could improve?

GreyBox is an excellent firm, but they do not choose the best partners. We were less impressed by their promotional items vendor and the branding consulting firm they are associated with.

**Feedback Summary**: The client is extremely impressed with GreyBox's work. The brand identity created by GreyBox Creative has enabled the client to better compete with larger more established competitors.
""Anything that slowed down the project was always my fault. GreyBox Creative was incredibly responsive."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

Inline Realty is a commercial real estate company. Our primary focus is on national retail tenants like The Gap and Nike. We help them find locations, predominantly in the New York City boroughs, also including Connecticut and New Jersey. We also work on a series of real estate development projects.

I am the senior vice president of operations for the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

Many small, independent brokerage houses like ours have a minimal web presence. We were starting from scratch and had no web presence at all.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

GreyBox Creative designed our website from the ground up, handling everything from the logo to web design, as well as making our website functional. GreyBox has helped us with updates ever since and handled backend elements as well.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

We were referred to them by colleagues, for whom GreyBox handled web design and development from scratch. We looked at a number of other companies, but it was an easy decision to make. We loved GreyBox's work.

How much have you invested with GreyBox Creative?

The cost of our project with GreyBox was between $10,000 and $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with GreyBox Creative in September 2012. The website and logo design took 4 months, and it was launched in January 2013. I reach out to GreyBox one a month for maintenance, and we're also about to embark on another project for making our website mobile-ready.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

We're a small shop, but some of the companies that we compete with are extraordinarily large. Our marketing budget cannot compare, but our goal was to make our web presence completely seamless to someone trying to decide between us and a bigger firm. This is what we've achieved with GreyBox's help. Our website is comparable to other real estate brokerage firms' working in the same space. Without this presence, our business would have definitely hurt. We appear exactly as our clients want us to appear.

How did GreyBox Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

Anything that slowed down the project was always my fault. GreyBox was incredibly responsive. Design and development is not my area of expertise, so we rely heavily on GreyBox. They've been incredibly responsive and never made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. I can give GreyBox any task and have it translated for me.

What did you find most impressive about GreyBox Creative?

First and foremost, GreyBox is incredibly responsive. Whether it's a simple question or a far more complex issue that requires more time on their part, I always hear right back from GreyBox, which wasn't the case for other technology providers which we've used. GreyBox's team is incredibly smart and talented, and they've been fantastic partners.

Are there any areas GreyBox Creative could improve?

No. GreyBox was always a pleasure to work with. They can take any idea which I present and make it better. GreyBox is by far the most consistent company that I've worked with.

What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with GreyBox Creative?

I advise any clients to get an idea of what they want and to let GreyBox present what can be done. If I would have trusted the process more in the beginning, it would have saved us some time.

**Feedback Summary**: The website designed by GreyBox won the Forbes 2002 “Best of the Web” award in the B2B category. They implemented every item and every feature. Where other firms just do as they’re told, GreyBox asserted themselves to offer insight on what would and wouldn’t work in the market.

""GreyBox Creative helped guide me in making efficient development choices based on a solid understanding of my ultimate objective.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your organization.

We're a leading online provider of comprehensive analyses of private investments in public equity and equity-linked securities executed by public companies.

What is your role at the company?

I am the founder, president, and chief executive officer.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What business challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

We needed help in branding a de novo [from the beginning] startup providing online financial research.

**SOLUTION**
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

GreyBox handled all aspects of the branding, including creating a corporate image, developing a website, and producing marketing brochures and business cards.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

We explored several web development and corporate imaging groups and decided to work with GreyBox because of my high comfort level with their comprehensive service offerings.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

We have spent something more than $200,000 working with GreyBox.

What is the status of this engagement?

I don't recall the specific dates. There was a slight delay in launching the website based on my desire to rework some elements. Overall, GreyBox's adherence to agreed upon timelines was excellent.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

The website for the online research service – PrivateRaise.com – was successfully launched. The site was awarded the "Best of the Web" designation in the business-to-business category by Forbes magazine in 2002. PrivateRaise was acquired by DealFlow Analytics in 2008 and was subsequently acquired by The Deal in 2013.

What distinguishes GreyBox Creative from other providers?

I very much appreciated their willingness to work through my development "wish list" in a cost-effective manner. GreyBox Creative helped guide me in making efficient development choices based on a solid understanding of my ultimate objective. In contrast, I had discussed similar matters with other providers in which their typical response was just to do what they were told rather that fully discussing options and alternatives the way GreyBox did.

In hindsight, are there areas in which they could improve or things you might do differently?

Overall, it was an excellent experience – certainly not a perfect experience, but there were no issues that would rise to the level of constructive criticism. I would just encourage GreyBox to continue making every effort to understand fully the overall objectives of their clients, as they did with us, so that they can efficiently and bring to bear their deep and varied experience fully.

**Feedback Summary**: GreyBox Creative implemented visually appealing, state-of-the-art design to make the website feel more interactive. Despite some miscommunication about backend development, GreyBox offered a strong solution. They focused on writing strong content to tell the brand’s story.

""GreyBox was able to put a very current, modern, and relevant spin on our case studies."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your organization.

LMCA is a 30-year old brand extension licensing agency. We take large consumer brands, primarily iconic legacy, or heritage brands, and we move them into new distribution channels by way of licensing. If a company has an opportunity to be in another business, they can leverage the equity that's in their brand to rent their brand out to someone who is already in that business.

What is your position?

I am the chief marketing officer.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What business challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

We're a 30-year old company that really hadn't spent any time, effort, or energy on marketing. The challenge was to create a more updated, relevant, and current approach to marketing.

**SOLUTION**
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

We started talking to GreyBox about a website design project, but ended up also asking them to redesign our logo because we were unhappy with the work we received from other agencies. We wound up using their design to kickoff a new look and feel for our online presence.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

We compared about five different agencies, some were referred to us and others we found on our own. After considering reputation, location, approach, and cost, we liked GreyBox. We were concerned that GreyBox may be too focused on the print aspect, but they actually have a deep understanding and focus on the design aspect, which wound up serving us really well.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

The cost was between $10,000 and $50,000.

What was the timeline of this engagement?

The timeline was between September 2015 and January 2016.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

We are getting a lot of web traffic because we have a new website and a new design. The results speak for themselves. Our previous website was purely text with very little visual appeal. GreyBox was able to put a very current, modern, and relevant spin on our case studies to a point where they tell a good story.

What distinguishes GreyBox Creative from other providers?

I've worked with a bunch of different web design agencies and GreyBox Creative's approach was pleasantly different in that they are copy-first rather than design-first. They figure out what you want to say and then make the design fit that and instead of the other way around. It made a lot of sense, and the results speak for themselves. It's a fantastic website that they were able to design for us.

Is there anything GreyBox Creative could have improved or done differently?

They probably could have had stronger communication surrounding what goes into the backend design. The time between approving the design and launching the website took much longer than we thought and probably a little longer than they thought, too. However, the good thing is that we now have a back-end system that anyone in the company can use because of the level of customization.

""They're always super-responsive, and their creativity is unparalleled.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your organization.

My company is called Investment Professionals for Charity. We host three events a year to raise money that we then distribute to smaller charities.

What is your position?

I'm an administrator. I help coordinate and manage two of the three events.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What business challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

We send more than 6,000 electronic invitations for our events, so I needed something creative that would both draw people's attention and help manage RSVPs.

**SOLUTION**
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

GreyBox's creativity is unparalleled. They're amazing. It was very hard to choose a layout because they have such a variety of designs. They've set a standard for the two events that I manage, now people look forward to seeing the invitation we send out.

They provided end-to-end support that included designing the electronic invitation, hosting, and designing the web page, mailing print invitations, and managing the RSVPs.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

I worked at a large private equity firm in New York, who had used them in the past. I was looking for an upgrade from what I was doing and somebody in the marketing department there suggested I give them a shot. I had an initial phone call and really liked the vibe that I got from them. They were nice. After seeing their work the first year, I was sold.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

I would say the $10,000 to $20,000 range is my overall spend.

What is the length of this engagement?

They've done this for me for five years.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

I get a lot of positive feedback every year on GreyBox's invites. Even people who aren't able to attend will write back and complement the creativity of the package that they received.

What distinguishes GreyBox Creative from other providers?

Well, one, they're just nice people. I enjoy working with them not only because they do a great job, but because I like everyone on the GreyBox Creative team, both as business partners and as individuals. They're always super-responsive, and their creativity is unparalleled. In comparison to other invitations I've received and other projects that I have been a part of, GreyBox has the highest quality and does the best job.

Is there anything GreyBox Creative could have improved or done differently?

No. I wouldn't change a single thing.

**Feedback Summary**: Aside from higher credibility on Google, the new website delivered compelling results: Traffic, click-through rates, and lead conversions all increased. GreyBox Creative prioritized client satisfaction. Their expertise is not SEO, so they no longer provide that service.

""In terms of branding, graphic design, and Web design they are some of the best I've ever worked with.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your organization.

We're a real estate brokerage firm located in Hawaii. We also have a real estate development and property management arm of the company.

What is your position and responsibilities?

I'm the managing partner, meaning I'm involved with all areas of the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What business challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

We were trying to grow our company. We started as a small brokerage firm, and we were trying to increase that business as well as take advantage of other areas of real estate industry. To that end, we purchased another small firm, and started trying to grow our services.

We wanted a new identity to represent this new era of the company's development. The main assistance we required was with our website, which was very antiquated, but we needed help with other aspects of our marketing as well.

**SOLUTION**
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

It involved branding, Web design and development and, once the website was up, they did SEO [search engine optimization] and paid search as well.

The work started with just them redesigning our website but, as they did that, it opened our eyes to all the ways our brand was ill-defined.

They also took on some heavy back-end development work. A real estate website, like ours has an analysis system and multiple listing systems that need to feed data to multiple websites, so it requires some sophisticated technology.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

A former colleague who I worked with at a previous job recommended them. Before coming to Hawaii, I worked for Estée Lauder in New York and one of my contacts from there recommended them. He gave us a range of options he thought might be a good fit, based on quality and price. GreyBox was kind of in the middle of the range, but they fit exactly what we needed. The main reason we chose GreyBox was they fit exactly what we were looking for, in terms of their specialties and our needs. Every company has areas they specialize in, and to me GreyBox excels at the visual design aspect of marketing. In terms of branding, graphic design, and Web design they are some of the best I've ever worked with. Their development and SEO [search engine optimization] work is good, but a little weaker. However, we were more concerned with the design aspects, so it was just a great fit.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

If you would put it all together, we've spent in the range of $250,000 to $300,000 in 12 months. This ended up being a lot more than we thought we were going to pay. That's because we, as a client, expanded the scope and asking for a lot more.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

I don't know the numbers off the top of my head. Traffic increased, definitely, the click-through rate increased, and the leads conversion increased. The time spent on the page doubled, if I'm not mistaken. What is perhaps more important, but is also less tangible, is the fact that their work has increased our credibility and authority, not only in Google, but also in the market at large.

What distinguishes GreyBox Creative from other providers?

They're a relatively small company, and one thing I liked is I never felt like I got lost in the shuffle. I was always dealing with their senior management, and I think that ensured things were done well and quickly.

In hindsight, are there areas in which they could improve, or things you might do differently?

The SEO is not their emphasis but, on the other hand, it's a business decision on their end. We ended up getting another company to handle those services for us.

Rather than just doing as they’re told, GreyBox works to understand the needs and personalities of the users and build accordingly. Their continued success has led to ongoing work.

""GreyBox Creative tries to understand the personality of the user, and what type of feel we're looking to create for a particular site.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your organization.

We are a custom software development company.

What is your position and responsibilities?

I'm president and co-owner of the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What business challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

Our firm's expertise is in backend development work. We partnered with GreyBox to build graphics design for websites. For these projects, we build the backend systems and then look to GreyBox to provide frontend design work.

**SOLUTION**
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

Graphic design for websites has comprised the majority of their work for us.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

We originally met at a networking event, and I had them put together some visualization sketches for one of our customers at the time. I think that's basically when our venture started. We had talked to a number of different design firms, and their response was the one that we went with.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

The projects have ranged from small tasks, costing less than $10,000, to larger tasks for some of our enterprise clients that have been more than $100,000.

What is the timeline of this engagement?

We have done a few projects together, and the most recent one is wrapping up right now [July 2015]. It was actually for our own company website, which we had GreyBox do all the design work for. We got it live yesterday. The timeline for most of their projects has generally been anywhere between three and six months.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

I think they have a very good eye towards making things visually attractive and usable. It's a nice combination of the core graphic designs skills coupled with the knack for incorporating practical application in terms of UI/UX [user interface/user experience] skills. We've been very pleased with the results, and I think our clients have been as well.

Is there one thing you really enjoy about your experience working with GreyBox Creative?

One thing I like is that GreyBox Creative tries to understand the personality of the user, and what type of feel we're looking to create for a particular site. Other firms sometimes take a vision somebody may give them and just run with it without a whole lot of input.

In hindsight, are there areas in which they could improve, or things you might do differently?

No. Everything has been very smooth. We wouldn't continue to work with them if that wasn't the case.

**Feedback Summary**: GreyBox’s monthly reports reveal the impact of their efforts; their success earned them ongoing marketing work. The team contributes a wealth of understanding in the financial marketing world to create a brand that is recognizable as a finance firm but unique from the competition.

""GreyBox has a lot of experience with branding in the financial industry.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your organization.

We're a small fund administrator and broker providing services to hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, fund of funds, family offices, and the like. We are headquartered in San Francisco, but have offices in New York, Halifax, and Singapore.

What is your position?

I'm the director of our somewhat limited (in terms of staff) marketing department.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What business challenge were you trying to address with GreyBox Creative?

There were two major challenges. One is that we had just merged with another firm, and we were going through a significant rebranding exercise. The other challenge was that the senior management of our firm had never given much thought to marketing. In their mind, investment firms didn't really need marketing. If your firm made money, you got new clients. They thought it was that simple. Part of the challenge was just educating and informing them about what marketing is these days, how it operates, and why it's important.

**SOLUTION**
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

The scope was a total corporate rebranding – a new logo and corporate identity work. We also needed a fully redesigned website. We have an internal technology partner who developed the website, but GreyBox did all of the graphic design work for it. There was also a digital marketing component of the project as well, which is ongoing.

How did you come to work with GreyBox Creative?

We received three or four bids on the project. Someone who had come from the company we merged with had used GreyBox for a small project and threw them into the mix. I set up a meeting with them, and their artwork really grabbed my attention, their attention to detail on the design styles. They were very fresh, and that was appealing to me.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

The brand and identity work was around $15,000 to $16,000. Then, the Web design work has been between $35,000 and $60,000, depending on what we're doing.

What is the status of this engagement?

The branding work happened between March 2014 and April 2014. The Web design work has been a longer-term engagement and is still ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What are the results of the project, are there any statistics or metrics you can share?

The results have been very positive. Quantitatively, of course, we track everything. From an online perspective, GreyBox does monthly reporting for me, so I'm able to give good attribution for leads converted to sales from marketing activity. So, that's very helpful and important. It's not as easy as if everything was automated, or if you're using a marketing automation platform or something like that, but it's decent. I've been very happy with that.

In terms of feedback from senior management, the designs and the aesthetics of our marketing, they could not be more pleased, which means I could not be more pleased.

What distinguishes GreyBox Creative from other providers?

GreyBox has a wealth of experience with branding companies in the financial industry. This experience gave them a ready access to our business and allowed them to position us in a way that was both familiar to our customers but still differentiated us from our competitors. They do have other clients across other businesses, but it's nice that they understand our industry really well. The people on their team understood the nature of broker-dealers and the requirements that the SEC [Securities and Exchange Commission] has and that there are certain things we can't say in our advertising. I would say that was a bonus.

The other bonus for me was that they have people in other parts of the world, so things can get done overnight. The gentleman I worked with on digital space in Singapore, he seems to be on all the time. That's really helpful to me because changes can be made overnight and, by morning, I can present a new version.

In hindsight, are there areas in which they could improve, or things you might do differently?

I really can't think of anything.

""They've always delivered exactly what we wanted.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company.

We're an investment firm that raises capital for alternative fund managers.

What is your role and responsibilities?

I'm a partner in the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What were some of the challenges you faced prior to your work with GreyBox Creative?

While I have internal IT and marketing teams capable of handling this type of work, I've found that they tend to deliver the same type of work every time. By working with GreyBox, we're trying to get a fresh look in our marketing schemes.

What was the scope of your work with GreyBox Creative?

The work itself has ranged from the creation of professional marketing materials, including one-pagers, monthly reports, pitch books, and collateral materials all the way to full website design. I've only had positive experiences working with GreyBox.

**SOLUTION**
What was your process for selecting GreyBox Creative?

I've actually worked with GreyBox Creative for the past 15 years on a number of different projects with at least four different companies, ranging from small hedge funds to Morgan Stanley. I continue to go back to them because of the consistency of the work that they deliver as well as their knowledge of financial services marketing.

Can you give a sense of the size of the initiative?

It's ranged from small projects that are less than $5,000 to enterprise projects that have cost over $100,000.

When was the project completed?

It's difficult to speak about timelines since the work has been during the course of years. However, I've always been very satisfied with their timeliness.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What were the results of the project?

I've only had positive experiences working with GreyBox, whether it's work they've completed on their own or projects where we've brought GreyBox Creative in to collaborate with our marketing department. They've always delivered exactly what we wanted.

What differentiates GreyBox Creative from others?

I think they're great at taking their time, really understanding exactly what you're trying to accomplish and delivering creative ideas that still fit the conservative financial industry. Lastly, it's their integrity and honesty. They're just real people.

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or something that you might do differently?

Nothing comes to mind. Earlier in the relationship, I think at times they struggled to deliver on time; however, as they've grown that has stopped being a problem.
