We ahd our first meeting and after that we were offered a couple of designed sites were we could choose from. The following step were a couple of meetings so that their team could understand our market and the type of business we are in. The technologies used WordPress, Figma, and timedoctor.

A project manager was our main contact which in each and very step was of great support and had the patience to explian in detail what was required from our side so that the project led to success.

After launching the site we saw an increase in our trafic and our clients were happy with our updated site.

We had a lot of meetings with the project management so that they make sure that they deliver the infromation on the site re our educational service company correctly. We were also updated with the timeframes and what was need next if any input was requested from our side.

At the launching of the site there were some bugs which were imediately and effectly fixed.

We were using tools such as Figma, Confluence. Our project manager compiled planning graphs and provided us with hourly reports from Time Doctor.

According to our design references they presented few design concepts. We choose what we like and what do not like. During next week they prepared the first page to approve concept. We are very demanding to design tasks. To our surprise, we were satisfied with GoodFace design from the first glance.

We started our collaboration from idea of our product only. We had about 2 or 3 session of describing with Guys from Goodface agency. They only asked questions and noted our ideas. And then in several days they got to us a prototype. And from those day we had started active phase of the creation our future product. After that we created and approved plan of the development based on prototype. During more than 2 months we had weekly meetings with demo new pages and design elements. When we made some remarks - on the next iteration we got next part of design and improvements of previous part. Fantastic result! We finished all iterations according to plan. It was the coordinated work of two teams.

We had a series of discovery meetings to discuss our goals and objectives. Goodface agency conducted an analysis of industry competitors and the trends of the niche. They plunged into our working atmosphere, and found out how we live, how our target audience thinks, what is important for them and what is not. The obtained information helped to develop an understandable and convenient site structure.

At the second stage, we started developing a visual style, which had determined the visual part of the future site (colors, fonts, etc). When we approve the style, they started to create the design of all pages of the future website. At the same time, they developed a detailed technical task for programmers.

During all the work on the project, as well as after transferring it to programmers for development, they prompted, advised, helped us. When the frontend part was finished, they did the design QA and shared a list of recommendations for improvement.

They are real professionals. It was easy and pleasant to work with them. It’s good when the performer understands you. We had many meets, also we talked through Telegram and Skype, using webcams.

During all the work on the project, they were advising us. Goodface conveyed the importance of UX. They had written extended technical task for programmers because we haven’t competencies in this. Also, they did the design QA after the frontend part was finished, for programmers implemented all ideas correctly.

The work progressed quickly without any difficulty. Everything was done on time and qualitatively.

Thanks to our project with Goodface, we received an organic increase in guests in the restaurant, as we started to place all our activities / events on the main page of the site, which became much more convenient for people. And also, thanks to the correct recommendations from the Goodface team, we finally translated our entire page into English, which allowed us to attract foreign audiences / guests of the capital.

I’m the product manager at Genesis, one of the largest IT companies in Ukraine. We work in the health and fitness industry, creating websites and intending to build mobile apps for fitness and meal planning. I’m responsible for product development and performance.

What challenge were you trying to address with Goodface agency?

Before we hired full-time developers in-house, we tried to create the product remotely. We were looking for an agency to create a website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They were in charge of design, concept development, and full improvements for our website. We’re not working on an app yet. The website is built on WordPress. Our original goal was to find and customize an algorithm that creates a personalized diet and meal plan for users. They advised us that a solution like this did not currently exist, so they ended up creating several sophisticated features from scratch. 

The technology they're developing relies on several formulas to yield personalized meal plans for individuals. We're also working on an SMS function that will help us deliver the meal plans to our customers. This is our main priority now as opposed to the website development.

When we were choosing between them and other agencies, other vendors asserted that this level of personalization in a project would be incredibly expensive or even impossible. We started working together in April 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

At first, we were working on a rough design and development upon request. I’m responsible for metrics. So, when I analyze data and I see the bottlenecks or opportunities, I create technical tasks for them.

They have experience in the conversion improvement, which helps us come to mutual solutions. There were several occasions where we significantly improved conversion and became more profitable due to their suggestions.

How did Goodface agency perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is quite good. I can’t blame them when we don’t meet the deadlines. The deadlines that we don't meet result from changes in our priorities. For instance, if there's an urgent task related to another part of the project that comes up, we might postpone a deadline.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They both execute on our directions and come to us with their own solutions. If I describe a problem, they will come in a few days with a few hypotheses, trying to bring forward an optimal solution. They work very deeply on our problems.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Within my expertise, I can't find many things for them to improve. The only issues we experienced resulted from us neglecting to take notes on the conditions decided upon in early meetings. We had to negotiate a couple of times in the past because of that. We don’t have this problem now because we know each other very well. Our team understands what to when to rely on them, and when we shouldn’t.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re very responsible, strictly respecting everyone's time. It’s natural to respect such a partner. They often come with solutions that we didn’t describe properly, but they did it for us.
