• Permalink settings are important for how Google indexes your site to make it searchable. Changing them later can reset your rankings in Google, so this is important to do up front.
• WordPress sites come loaded with a default Admin account, which makes it easier for hackers to attempt to break-in. We delete this default account so hackers cannot exploit it.
• Deleted default plugins preloaded on WordPress Much like your phone, WordPress comes pre-loaded with plugins (which are similar to apps) from their partners. We clear these out to speed
  up your site's performance.
• Checked for WordPress updates We’ve updated to the latest version of WordPress to ensure that the latest security and feature updates are in place.
• Cleaned up WordPress dashboard WordPress fills their dashboard with a lot of unnecessary junk. We've cleaned it up to show you only the most important notifications.
• Loaded and configured Smush image compression Smush compresses the size of your
  images without sacrificing quality. This helps your website to load quicker, a key factor in getting ranked highly by Google.
• Loaded and configured Yoast SEO Yoast SEO is the #1 plugin for SEO on WordPress. It helps you to customize and tag your content in a way that'll make it rank better in search engines.
• Loaded and configured Jetpack WP Security Jetpack WP Security is an essential plugin that acts as a firewall to increase overall site security.
• Loaded and configured Really Simple SSL Really Simple SSL ensures that your site shows the secure lock icon next to your URL on people's browsers. Most browsers now block users from visiting sites without SSL security.
• Loaded and configured Redirection You'll want the ability to redirect people from one link to another (for instance, if one of your pages is outdated or broken). The Redirection plugin makes this easy and quick.
• Set up daily automatic offsite backups with Updraft Plus Updraft Plus backs up your site daily to
  your Google Drive account so that if anything happens to your site you can restore is quickly and easily.
• Set up Google Analytics so you can monitor your traffic Google Analytics is crucial for any site. It
  monitors your traffic and shows deep insights into who is visiting your website and their location.
• Set up Google Search Console for showing the terms people search to find you on Google
  Google Search Console lets you know which terms are being searched when your website appears in search results. It also lets you index or hide specific pages of your website, and shows important statistics about your search appearance.

The measurable outcomes were shared with us as the program progressed, including the necessary informational guide to how we ought to manage our website. Both a progress report and a handover report detailing all processes administered by the team have been shared. 
This was very helpful as it enabled us to understand the procedures achieved including gaining an appreciation for the technical terms especially now that we are navigating on our own.

Project Management has been excellent, meeting the deadlines and being patient in following up with us to ascertain our satisfaction with the work they have done. Options to different packages have been considered and offered, which was greatly appreciated, considering we are a human rights organization. An affordable website is exactly what we needed, and they delivered.

They render the services for free which is what attracted us to the idea as seen on social media, I was sceptical at first however seeing how they have managed to supercede our expectations it has been a pleasure working with them. 
Their work ethic, time management, and communication efficiency definitely impress us, and it's awesome that they consistently achieved the objective goals for our benefit.

Are there any areas for improvement or something The Free Website Guys could have done differently?

I appreciate the virtual engagement, but I think an in-person curated handover would also be lovely. However, I do understand that the contact limitations make it easier for them to complete the job without delays on personal modifications needed by the clients.

We needed help with creating a business website, one that we could easily update ourselves, one that doesn’t cost a fortune to use, as we just started up our small business.   They volunteered their time and knowledge to build us an amazing website, free of charge!  I particularly liked that they took the time to explain all of the options to me in a way that I could understand. 

They sent me step by step videos and instructions on how do to do steps for them to assist with building the site, making me feel like I had say in our site and that I was helping a little bit.  I would highly recommend The Free Website Guys to other businesses looking to have a website that is well built!  

I am excited to see what kind of response we get from our website!  We hope our website helps us to really take off in our business.  I can’t thank The Free Website Guys enough for everything!

I am still working on the website and most of what they've done has proven to be exactly what they said it would. They were helpful and patient through most of the process. I have a few issues but I don't think they are unresolvable. The website looks very professional and everything seems to be running quite smoothly. Once I learn more about it, I am sure it will be even smoother.

Yes, they responded promptly and addressed any concerns I had. They were patient as well as efficient.

Their efficiency impressed me, and I only had one person to deal with instead of multiple people involved. There was no confusion or misunderstandings during this process, which was only via email.

I cannot say at the moment. The only confusion I experienced was when I was purchasing the template but apart from that everything. Apart from that no, I think they handled the process of the web design just fine.

Even though, I used a DIVI themed website, there was so much scope to be able to creatively change components as I wanted to.
