**The Review** — May 21, 2025

**Feedback Summary**: The client is pleased with Flower Press Interactive's work and the quality of the engagement. The team's project management is great — they always keep everything on track and stay within the set budget. What's been most impressive about the team is their in-depth experience and broad skill set.
""Flower Press Interactive’s work has been excellent.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the co-founder and CEO of LeadScorz Inc., a SaaS platform that provides services to financial services companies.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Flower Press Interactive? We were launching a new product and service: an online comparison shopping site for Medicare beneficiaries and senior citizens looking to purchase private Medicare products. We needed help with the site’s design, UX, and branding.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Flower Press Interactive has scoped the project in several phases, from the initial discovery and marketing to the actual brand messaging and website design. The team has wireframed the website and worked with us to create the UX and layout. They’ve delivered the designs to our development team. We’ve worked with their design team to further refine the site's artistic and graphic elements. The team has also helped us with the logo and brand guidelines and managed focus group interviews with a small cohort of users. The team has designed the logo and given us several options. We’ve selected a logo from those options. We’re doing further work with them on this project. The second part of the project is connecting the site they’ve built to our existing backend platform, which is a network of distribution to various insurance carriers and brokers. We’re leveraging AI on the frontend and PostgreSQL and MySQL on the backend. We’re hosting the site on AWS.Moreover, we’ve tied into a third-party platform via API to tap the database that pulls all the plan information and historical claims data. We adjudicate the consumers’ health profile and their needs. We apply historical claims data to each consumer’s health situation and insurance needs. We project their total out-of-pocket medical costs and what their insurance will pay. What is the team composition? Our main point of contact is Khaiersta, and we also work with Amy and Eric. How did you come to work with Flower Press Interactive?I searched for local design and marketing agencies that operated in the healthcare arena. I found Flower Press Interactive and met with them. Khaiersta presented herself as very professional and sharp. What is the status of this engagement? We started working together in January 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?Flower Press Interactive’s work has been excellent. More importantly, the working relationship and how they manage the project and keep us on schedule have been great. The project is only two weeks behind, which is more on us than on them. Overall, they’ve delivered as promised. How did Flower Press Interactive perform from a project management standpoint? They've been really good about organizing the project itself, providing updates and timelines, and tracking the budget. Khaiersta has been very involved and has done everything we’ve asked her to do. We have weekly meetings with them. We use GitLab for code and project management. We communicate using Slack, email, and virtual meetings. The team has facilitated setting up a Slack channel. What did you find most impressive about them? They’re a small team, but they have a good range of capabilities and an impressive relative depth of experience. Their technical designer has made the technical integration and the actual build of the site much easier. Are there any areas they could improve? No, there’s nothing I can come up with. I could have used other agencies, but it would have been hard to find someone with Khaiersta’s skill set, team, and price. The combination of those three things is rare.

"“They take our ideas and make them better than what we think they can be.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the founder of Real Work Technology Inc, a hiring platform for tradespeople.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC?We hired Flower Press to help us design and build our platform.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Initially, we came to Flower Press with our ideas and the platform we wanted. They then put together a bid for the UI/UX design phase. From there, the team built wireframes for us. To do that, they used our existing branding and logo. They suggested formats and designs based on those, and we gave our approval. They then performed initial user tests before moving into the development phase. They took the feedback from the tests and built the platform. For tools, they’ve done a lot of work on Figma. Meanwhile, our landing page is on WordPress, and they’ve built the backend platform using React Native. At present, the MVP version of the platform is launched. However, we’re going to do more things on it with Flower Press. We haven’t built a formal app yet, but they’ve created a mobile-friendly version of the web platform. What is the team composition? The team composition has changed based on the project’s phase. Early on, we had a part-time product manager, a designer, and their company’s owner. The three of them were involved in the initial design process. During the production process, we work with at least a few teammates, including software engineers. I’ve worked frequently with Matt (Engineering Lead & Senior Software Developer), Khaiersta (Founder & Product Design Lead), and Amy (Project Manager). How did you come to work with Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC?Flower Press was connected to my extended network. Their name came up from somebody  I knew, so I did some research about them and reached out to the team. I interviewed them with a couple of other companies I was looking into; ultimately, I chose them because they had been up for awards in the past. Their proposal was also the best one. How much have you invested with them? Our investment has been around $200,000–$1 million. What is the status of this engagement? We started the project in April 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? One of my advisors is a software engineer by trade, and I run Flower Press’ programs by him. The advisor tells me that the programs are solid, indicating quality work. Moreover, the Flower Press team has been truly collaborative. How did Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC perform from a project management standpoint? My interactions with the entire team have been positive. Everybody has been helpful and gives their opinions and guidance. They’re all responsive and deliver high-quality work. We’ve encountered complicated work during the project, and the team has been communicative when they run into those things. They always consult me, and their communication skills are strong throughout the process. We have weekly progress meetings via Zoom. Our teams also communicate via email. What did you find most impressive about them? They take our ideas and make them better than what we think they can be. Moreover, the design process has been fun. Are there any areas they could improve? No, there aren’t any. We’ve had a productive business collaboration.

**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to Flower Press Interactive (formerly Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC), the client now has a website that allows them to capture leads and generate e-commerce revenue. The team delivers quality work and listens well to feedback. They manage the engagement effectively and have an in-depth understanding of the client’s needs.
"“They’ve done excellent work.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the CFO of an insurance brokerage in the US. We serve five locations with insurance products such as home, auto, health, and life insurance.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC?The Flower Press team has been with us since the beginning of our business, and they’ve provided us with design services.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? Our first project is the creation of our brand and logo. They’ve created different branded images and assets for us. On top of that, they’ve built a state-of-the-art e-commerce platform for us. The platform has different  APIs that connect it to different companies and providers, allowing us to sell our products more effectively. Moreover, Flower Press maintains and troubleshoots our platform as we build new pages and functionalities. For technologies, they’ve used WordPress and React. We’ve had many other projects over the years. During these projects, we have kickoff calls where we discuss the scope of their work. Then, we send drafts and copies back and forth. If we’re creating a new branded landing page, we usually have introductory calls at the beginning of the project to discuss our needs. Then, we go back and forth across different rounds of development. Moreover, we normally get documentation from the third parties that we work with, and we hand them over to Flower Press. We conduct a kickoff call with the team, and if they have questions, they send them over in a request list via email. For the most part, our own team is the go-between for Flower Press and our third-party partners. They’re the ones exchanging documentation. For ongoing design services, we contact Flower Press every time we have a new asset that needs to be designed, such as a company-branded flyer or a new employee handbook. We reach out to them on an ad hoc basis whenever we need a branded asset. What is the team composition? For new product pages, we work with about four teammates from Flower Press. For maintenance, we only work with two teammates. How did you come to work with Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC?Our CEO went to high school with Flower Press’ CEO. We connected with her after she founded her company and had been running it for a while. Our team talked to her about what we wanted to create, and she took it from there. Our owner introduced her to the rest of the team, and we started working together. How much have you invested with them? We’ve invested between $200,000–$1 million. What is the status of this engagement? Our brand and design project was in 2012, and they built our platform in 2018. Our most recent page build was about three months ago, and they provide us with ongoing maintenance and design services.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? The website alone is an entirely new distribution channel for us, and we thank Flower Press for developing such a website for us. Because of it, we’re able to capture leads and bind businesses on several of our products — these wouldn’t have been possible without their work; our entire e-commerce revenue wouldn’t exist without the website being built. Moreover, Flower Press is a truly high-quality firm. They listen well to comments and feedback. As a result, we only have to turn comments once or twice. From there, they’re able to understand what we’re envisioning in our heads. How did Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC perform from a project management standpoint? We converse mostly on emails and Slack. A Slack channel connects our team to their team. For example, if the task is about web maintenance and development, we have a development channel with the Flower Press team. If we have an issue or a question, we can ask them on Slack, and they’re truly responsive. The Slack channel has made it easier for us to communicate and address any roadblocks or issues on time. It helps us keep on target with completion dates. Moreover, they make sure they match our hours; when we’re operating, they’re operating, too. I also appreciate that they’re sensitive to our budget. What we’re building isn’t cheap, but the fewer revisions and changes we need to make, the less expensive it becomes. Given that, Flower Press ensures they deliver the highest quality at every turn. They’re conscious of making sure they are as close to the target as possible on the first try in each of our projects.  What did you find most impressive about them?Over the years, we’ve worked with various groups for design and development, and Flower Press has been a completely different team. They’ve done excellent work. Are there any areas they could improve? This isn’t a weakness per se, but there has been some reorganization in their company as they’re growing. Sometimes, the staffing and communication fall off. We have to get used to a new team when we’re reassigned to new people. Because we’ve been with them for so long, it always takes a bit of time to readjust to any new team. To be fair, we’ve brought up this issue with their owner, and she’s addressed it right away. Ever since bringing it up, we’ve been able to keep on the cadence that we’re accustomed to, which is great. Do you have any advice for potential customers?Put in the necessary time upfront to establish a quality relationship with the Flower Press team. The sooner they understand you, your company, your brand, and your objectives, the sooner their efficiency and effectiveness will improve. A lot of people try to delegate as quickly as possible when they kick off a relationship with a new vendor, and then they become hands-off. However, what’s incredibly valuable is to invest time upfront at the beginning of the relationship. This will pay dividends in the future. You’ll get a better product and be more efficient, saving you more money in the longer run.

""Their efficiency was their strong point.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the chief medical officer at a startup medical device manufacturer in the San Francisco Bay Area.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC?We had an existing outdated website, and it was difficult to update because we had to write the code ourselves. As a result, we wanted a WordPress platform that we could easily update without having to code.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? The team developed our website and integrated the palette and fonts that we had on our previous website, and they added some photos, too. Our platform had our company’s description and product, contact form, and blog section. They also created a downloadable brochure that would allow us to collect email addresses. Overall, Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC did what we asked for.How did Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC perform from a project management standpoint? They were on budget; we only spent what we expected to pay from the estimate they gave us. We communicated through Zoom and email. Once they moved to the implementation phase, we were able to do everything through email.I’d say the only issue we had was with their timeline because our project stretched over a number of weeks. It wasn’t really a big deal for us because we weren’t in a hurry. At that time, I think they had people out of the office or they had too many projects, but the team finished our project just in time for us to launch it at a conference. What did you find most impressive about them?Their efficiency was their strong point. We had a very simple project, and they were able to do everything they promised. We didn’t have any disconnect during the engagement. Are there any areas they could improve? No, we were satisfied with their work.Do you have any advice for potential customers? At the beginning of our project, they presented a statement of work (SoW) and they stuck to it.

""We like their diverse skill set and a single point of contact for updates.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.I am a Owner of the business. I handle accounting, inventory management and marketing.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC?We hired them to complete a redesign of our website several years ago. We have since relied on them to handle ongoing updates and maintenance for the site as our business needs have changed. What were your goals for this project? We engaged Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC to update our website to improve our overall customer experience. They created our original website several years ago, and we noticed some areas for improvement. We came back to them in order to simplify information display, and to enhance the overall user experience. This work included removing unnecessary information, clearing up confusing details on our detailed 24 hours restaurant menu, and providing additional information to answer customer questions upfront. Location, hours, cost, offerings and price are what our customers are looking for. Presenting this information in a clear, and easy-to-locate fashion on desktop or mobile is essential to stop ongoing one-on-one customer service requests. Additionally, we asked Flower Press Creative Studio to optimize our website, and improve SEO for some specific keywords in the Portland area.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC?We had previous experience working with Flower Press Creative Studio on our printed menus. We chose them for the website work based on past experience.Describe the project in detail. This most recent round of revisions was specifically geared to simplify the website, and address customer questions quickly and easily. We removed unnecessary information, improved the information architecture and simplified information display. Additionally we asked for keyword optimization for some important search terms in the Portland bar and restaurant market. This was a relatively small engagement, but over the years FPCS has performed many such updates. We try to improve the website consistently. Even though it's simple, it's effective in addressing customer concerns. What was the team composition? We worked primarily with Khaiersta English, the Creative Director, and Eric Baldoni the UI Developer who executed the build. For ongoing updates these two collaborate with us to make updates as needed.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success? We have spent less time managing our website since the redesign. It is simple to ask Flower Press to handle updates when they are needed. We value the partnership. We have had many positive comments from customers and staff. It is difficult to quantify any direct impact on sales, however, we do believe having a professional online presence has helped present us well overall. How did your relationship with your partner evolve?Their project management is pretty lightweight and our needs are pretty straightforward and consistent. Generally, I make requests and they will schedule them out and respond with a quick turn around time. We expect to continue to have the same needs in the future and plan to engage TFPCS to do so.How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?Communication has been easy. When we need maintenance it is very simple to ask for changes, and they are usually done within a few days. We also benefit from occasional suggestions for changes and updates to our website, which we consider based on turn around time and budget. What did you find most impressive about this company? We like their diverse skill set and a single point of contact for updates. With just one email or phone call we have a whole team of experienced professionals at our disposal. Are there any areas for improvement? We are completely satisfied with our experience and the service that we received. What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to you?Highly recommend engaging with The Flower Press Creative Studio whether your project is large or small.

The team's visually appealing products were well-received and operate on all target devices.BACKGROUNDPlease describe your company and your position there.I am the owner and operator of Tik Tok Restaurant and Bar, an established restaurant chain in Portland, Oregon.OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGEFor what projects/services did your company hire Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC?We hired Flower Press Creative Studio to design printed menus for the restaurant and create a custom, responsive, and informational website. What were your goals for this project? Our goal was to provide potential customers with information on location, menu items, and pricing in a simple, straightforward manner that would encourage them to select our restaurant.SOLUTIONHow did you select this vendor?A friend recommended them. Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project? After an initial meeting to discuss the project goals, I provided written consent and Flower Press handled the project management. We began with the printed menu, going through several rounds of design and revision. We created the website next with much of the same information but presented it in a clean and modern way. Flower Press recommended a local pre-press printer with an easy, reliable process for updates; each year, we send them our price changes, then they make the edits and send us the updated menus. The website effectively communicates our critical information, appears in search engine results, and works well on the target devices. Updates to the website are straightforward as well; we contact Flower Press directly for annual price changes. How was project management arranged and how effective was it?The workflow was highly effective. Tasks were accomplished efficiently and ongoing changes were completed expeditiously. What did you find most impressive about this company?I was impressed with Flower Press Creative Studio's ability to simplify a relatively complex set of tasks. **The Review** — Feb 18, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: Thorough and communicative, Flower Press Interactive (formerly Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC) successfuly built the app, earning the enterprise's business on further projects. The app doubled membership processing and helped to sell more club memberships. They think through everything, eliminating all pain-points prior to launch.
""The app has dramatically increased productivity in our offices.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I am the CFO and marketing director for Brown Bear Car Wash, a car wash enterprise that operates a chain of car washes, gas stations, and convenience stores in the Pacific Northwest.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC?We engaged Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC to build an application for signing up club members. We previously signed up members with a paper application, so we hired Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC to digitize that process for us.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Previously, an applicant had to fill in a paper application that we scanned and then the office would manually input their information into our system. They designed an application with creative elements that facilitated data collection to set up a membership, all while promoting the brand of our organization and company. The app was built for the iPad. They developed it and went through the workflow, doing lots of testing to determine how the consumer interacts with it and what their process was. The app is now going to be integrated across all our offices across the region. Finally, they’re involved with the redevelopment and redesign of our website. Our website is being redone to allow for the app to be integrated into the site. All these parts are now being integrated into a single symbiotic system. What is the team composition? Our main point of contact was Khaiersta (Founder & Creative Director, Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC). While we primarily work with her, there are three other people we interact with at Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC. Their team also cooperates with another third party company we hired. How did you come to work with Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC?After I told my IT group I wanted this app developed, they did some research. They presented me with 2–3 options, and I met with them all. I liked the feel of Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC the best, so I went with them. How much have you invested with them? We’ve spent upwards of $200,000. The app they developed was around $35,000. Now that they’re doing additional phases integrating our app and redesigning our website, we’re spending more with them. What is the status of this engagement? We began work in March 2018 and the work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?Previously, we were able to process 50–100 applicants a day. Now we’re processing 100–200 applicants with ease. The app has dramatically increased productivity in our offices as they’re no longer deciphering bad handwriting and manually inputting data. We’re also selling more club memberships as that process moves online. We’re waiting for more metrics beyond that, as we’re waiting to finish the other parts of the project. How did Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC perform from a project management standpoint? They’re really good at communication. At the beginning of the project, they provide us with a scope and we have a weekly conference call where they describe the various stages of the project and what they anticipate to accomplish that week. We also evaluate what is needed from both of our ends on the calls. What did you find most impressive about them? They’re very thorough. They try to think through all the stages of the project and find out how something will be received by an end-user and the consumer. They work through, test, and identify as many potential pinch points early on in the process in order to address and eliminate them prior to launch. Also, their design has a very natural feel. It’s user-friendly and easy to learn. Are there any areas they could improve? There were some initial bumps with Apple, but Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC jumped right in and identified what needed to be fixed to rectify the situation. I thought they did a great job, and there’s nothing I’d say they should have done differently.Do you have any advice for potential customers? The more you know about what you want while going in, the better they’ll be able to deliver and meet those needs. Part of our challenge was the constant evolution and not knowing entirely what we needed.Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC was great at modulating, adjusting, and accommodating us through that process, although it is best to skip that all together to avoid scope creep.

We began with the printed menu, going through several rounds of design and revision. We created the website next with much of the same information but presented it in a clean and modern way. **Feedback Summary**: Site traffic continues to grow. Flower Press Interactive (formerly Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC) is responsive and sensitive to the needs of a virtual organization. They are intensely detail-oriented.
"“[They are] very responsive… The site and applications they provide are very attractive.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I am the executive director of a large site for healthcare professionals, including dentists, veterinarians, and physicians. We provide forums, applications, and services for students interested in becoming doctors.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Flower Press Creative? Our forums are open and have grown organically over 15+ years. We have about 660,000 visitors each year and have passed 18.5 million posts. In 2011, we kicked off a project to present a more professional image and to make the site compatible with both desktop and mobile displays.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? They refreshed the front page and navigation of the site and revised our logo. Responsiveness was a key factor for us, and pages had to load quickly to keep up with the traffic. As a not for profit organization, we wanted to be sure the site could sustain itself through sponsorships and advertising. That meant boosting usability and minimizing the load required to run the site. They helped most with branding and presentation for the initial project, and provide a lot of input for layouts, structures, and flow. In a recent project, they built an application cost calculator, based on our specifications. It shows an overview graphic of the application process for pre-med students. What is the team dynamic? Our primary point of contact is Khaiersta [Founder & Creative Director, Flower Press Creative], and Eric [Sr. User Interface Engineer, Flower Press Creative] provides some programming support. How did you come to work with Flower Press Creative? We had a recommendation from a partner site that we’ve since acquired. We liked their samples and hired them for the initial project. How much have you invested with them?We spent about $100,000 for the site refresh. What is the status of this engagement? We started working together around September 2011, and have worked together off and on since. The work is project-based, so we hire them when we have a need.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? As a nonprofit, we don’t have a profit margin to track, but we’ve seen a consistent increase in traffic over our site’s history. They’ve really helped us gain traffic and realize our goals. How did Flower Press Creative perform from a project management standpoint?Khaiersta is very responsive via email. Our entire organization is virtual, so most of our work happens online. We have met a couple of times in person. She’s flexible and supports our business model. We have people located all over the world, and she’s very understanding of our structure and our needs. What did you find most impressive about them? The site and applications they provide are very attractive. They’ve chosen an appropriate color palette that is evocative of the healthcare industry, but also warm and inviting. Are there any areas they could improve?Khaiersta is highly detail-oriented, sometimes down to the pixel. Her team provides a great finished product, but that orientation can slow delivery times.Do you have any advice for potential customers?Flower Press is a great partner. To get the most out of that relationship, make sure you come into the project with a clear idea of your vision.

**Feedback Summary**: Through clear communication, Flower Press Interactive (formerly Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC) spearheaded an attractive, effective website redesign. The end product satisfied requirements and prompted future engagements. The new site was successfully reimagined thanks to clear communication and a well-structured experimentation process.
""Flower Press Interactive (formerly Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC) redesigned our outdated site to make it simpler, more attractive, and malleable.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the CEO of El Centro de Libertad, or the Freedom Center. We have been providing outpatient treatment services to adults who struggle with substance abuse since 1994. Our services are located in Redwood City and San Mateo County, California.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Flower Press Creative? Our website needed updating. We wanted something both current and interactive to better allow people to learn about the agency and to encourage and enable them to make donations.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Using Wordpress, they redesigned our outdated site to make it simpler, more attractive, and adaptable. Changes had to be made without using an external provider, which was a key requirement because relying on others wasn’t ideal. The next phase of the project will involve us discussing with them ideas for driving traffic to the site to encourage donations, such as utilizing social media content. What is the team dynamic? The principal worked alongside support staff, although we did not interact with the others directly. How did you come to work with Flower Press Creative? We sought out referrals and conducted interviews. What is the status of this engagement? It began around February 2017 and it still ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? As the project is still ongoing, it is too early to estimate any concrete results, but we are satisfied with their work. How did Flower Press Creative perform from a project management standpoint? They were very professional. In particular, we appreciated their forthrightness when it came to the collaborative process. If they disagreed with our ideas or suggestions, they made sure to tell us the potential consequences and why they suggested alternate solutions. Most of our communications were over the phone, although we also used email. What did you find most impressive about them? They listen first, propose reasoned ideas, and then test them for validation. The process works very well.Advice for potential customers?Come to the table with clear requirements and expectations. Another important thing is preparedness, especially if they ask for something to help them advance the project.

**The Review** — Oct 27, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: Although the app has been pulled from the App Store due to budget concerns, the end product was successful. Flower Press Interactive (formerly Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC) provided thoughtful branding, thorough prototyping, and simplified visual design. Their versatile and logical project management was also notable.
"“Flower Press Interactive (formerly Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC) was really good at taking my ideas and turning them into something usable.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the founder and creator of an application that was in the App Store for a few months. We made the choice to discontinue it because of personal reasons.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Flower Press?I needed help in taking my mobile app idea to full development.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?I had the idea for an app and worked closely with Khaiersta [Founder/Creative Director, Flower Press Creative] in bringing it to fruition. She brought it from the idea phase to concept, then to design and processing it through the App Store. It was a fairly complicated process. The app allows users to easily connect with friends and create journeys with them through a modern process. Basically, the app allows users to invite friends to a certain place, such as a coffee shop or the beach, then makes the initial user visible for a specific period of time to the private group. The app also allows users to chat with their private group for a specific amount of time and links to different social media sites, like Facebook and Instagram. It permits users to add friends easily and pause the app if they wish to be invisible for a period of time.Khaiersta did great work with prototyping and storyboarding the app, then bringing the idea from conversations we had into an actual flow of screens. This included the entire look-and-feel, branding, concept, and logo creation. I would tell her what colors, forms, shapes, and fonts I liked, then she’d put it all together. She provided me with options to choose from, and then we would make changes based on that. She also figured out how to potentially connect with businesses in the future. We had the idea of adding Starbucks as a business where users could pre-order their drinks on their way to meet others they connected with through the app. She was able to thoroughly research that option and come up with a solution. What is the team dynamic?Khaiersta hired a team of developers for our specific app.How did you come to work with Flower Press?I worked with Khaiersta on prior projects with a previous company. I was the creative director, and was therefore in charge of many projects, including creating the brand for the entire company, along with different sub-brands within it and any new products that were launched. She has always been really great at boiling down an idea and getting it into action. I knew she’d be the person to transform my idea into a reality. I reached out to other people, but ultimately decided she was the ideal person to work with. How much have you invested with them?I spent about $130,000 USD.What is the status of this engagement? We worked together from July 2013 to October 2016. If I have any future projects, I wouldn’t hesitate to work with her.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?I liked the app, and it worked, but technology has evolved since then. It kept going over budget because the new version of iOS would come out, and we’d need to update the app, which was expensive. It was costing me too much money in order to keep it current. How did Flower Press perform from a project management standpoint? She’s a great project manager. She’s very organized, and always keeps track of progress, what needs to be done, and who’s doing what. We easily communicated on what needed to happen next. She also provided me with screen examples, then discussed with me how they could be simplified. She’s very good at providing a visual layout of what things will look like, as well as how they will flow and work within the app, which was great. If I didn’t have to spend $130,000, I would work with her again on another app. What did you find most impressive about them?I love the branding, prototyping, and visual designs. She has a really nice eye for simplifying things, which is sometimes difficult for designers. Her project management was also a strong suit. She really kept track of what needed to be done, how it needed be done, and who was going to do it. She even kept me on track. She was really good at taking my ideas and turning them into something usable. She’s easy to work with, as well as versatile. She has a way of remedying doubts clients might have about their ideas. Are there any areas they could improve? The only thing I can suggest would be for both parties to be clear about the cost of the project, which can be difficult in such a dynamic market.Do you have any advice for potential customers?Make sure to agree on a budget ahead of time. She was very good at managing the project and timeline associated with it. She does a great job, and we worked together particularly well. She’s the person to go to if a client wants their idea turned into a reality.

Their in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of digital design and robust project management skills made them a reliable partner.
""We felt confident that Flower Press Interactive (formerly Flower Press Creative Studio, LLC) understood the nuances required to navigate the complex functionalities of our database.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there. We’re Modula4, a consulting agency that provides digital asset management systems.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Flower Press Creative Studio? We wanted to upgrade the interface of our online database application to ensure our clients were satisfied with usability.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? We hired Flower Press to analyze our system and provide recommendations for short-term improvements, as well as a long-term roadmap. They found a number of ways to modernize the layout, many of which we’ve already implemented. After providing initial design consultation, they built a mockup application using JavaScript. They’ve also worked on smaller projects for us in the past, providing marketing and promotion surrounding our 10th anniversary. What is the team dynamic? Our main contact was Khaiersta English [Founder & Creative Director, Flower Press], and we also worked with their JavaScript developer. How did you come to work with Flower Press Creative Studio?I hired them to do branding when working with a prior company. I’ve always found them to be reliable and cost-effective, so I recommended them when I shifted over to Module4.There are dozens of website design studios, but significantly fewer with a specific knowledge of web application design. We felt confident that Flower Press understood the nuances required to navigate the complex functionalities of our database. How much have you invested with them?Approximately $10,000.What is the status of this engagement? We started working together on smaller projects in November 2013 and completed our large-scale project in October 2015.We now have an in-house designer who continues to implement the long-term recommendations we received from Flower Press.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? Our primary goal for the redesign was to maintain our existing clients. Since working with Flower Press, our retention rate has remained at 90%. Customers were pleased that we’d invested in upgrading the interface. We were happy with their consultation, and have implemented or plan to implement most of the recommendations they provided. How did Flower Press Creative Studio perform from a project management standpoint? They were very responsive and organized. Because we run a similar business, we understood that effective project management relies partially on the client, so we were able to cooperate smoothly. What did you find most impressive about them?Aside from their project management, it also helped that Khaiersta has a deep knowledge of web design. While we had to inform her of features unique to our application, she stays up-to-date on accepted best practices. She was able to answer any questions we had, and I attribute this to the fact that she’s doing constant research in her field. Are there any areas they could improve?Cost is always a consideration, but they're still an excellent value. At the end of the day, it's really about getting deliverables on time, and they’ve never let me down.Advice for potential customers?Keep an open mind. Even if you have a particular solution in mind, Flower Press may suggest a better alternative. You don’t have to agree with their suggestions, but you may be surprised by options you hadn't considered.

The team respects the project's budget, is comprehensive in their work, meets every deadline, and communicates via Zoom.
""I don't have any critique for Flower Press Interactive because we have a satisfactory relationship.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I'm an executive at a nonprofit organization that trains new analysts and offers services to the public in psychotherapy and as a treatment center.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Flower Press Interactive? We needed a major redesign of our website.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Flower Press Interactive is working on our site's redesign, including the front page and backed development. We shared our existing website with the team to understand and work with. We've had a number of discussions in which Flower Press Interactive looked at our website and then made a proposal about what they could offer. The team has established a scope of work, and once we approved it, they provided us with an estimate of the cost. Flower Press Interactive has divided the project into two phases and completed the first. Flower Press Interactive uses WordPress as the architecture program for the new web design, the backbone platform of our existing site, which also uses Moodle. The team is working on streamlining the site's architecture. The project's second phase will consist of working with off-the-shelf learning management system (LMS) programs that can be used as plug-and-play, as well as custom work to interface the site with those plug-ins and bridge the gap to have a good custom web design. What is the team composition? We interfaced with two teammates representing the design and development team, although I don't know how many teammates are on the bigger team. How did you come to work with Flower Press Interactive?I'm a board member at another organization to which Flower Press Interactive had previously provided web design services. I went to this organization when looking for a service provider, and they recommended that I engage with Flower Press Interactive. How much have you invested with them? We've spent around $35,000 ballpark up to date. What is the status of this engagement? We've been working with Flower Press Interactive for around 14 months, starting in the spring of 2023. Our engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? Our three main success parameters are the site's functionality, aesthetics, and budget. Flower Press Interactive has met all our success parameters, and we're very pleased with the budget and functionality of the first page. The second phase's focus will be maximizing functionality and streamlining interfaces with these off-the-shelf programs. In this second phase, functionality and interfaces are the most important aspects, and we're on target with the budget. Flower Press Interactive has delivered a scope of work and proposal that is on target with our goals and has been accepted by our initial executive team. We still have to proceed with getting our membership to support the second phase's scope, but we're on track to get it done. How did Flower Press Interactive perform from a project management standpoint? We communicate via Zoom. Flower Press Interactive is a top-flight group; they're very efficient and intelligent. The team hits every deadline and is comprehensive in the work they provide to us. We're a big group of analysts, and it's hard to get us all together, but the team has been great in staying consistent and delivering all the deadlines we need. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?Amy (Project Manager) and Khaiersta (Founder & Product Design Lead) have been leading us and enormously helpful throughout the project. What did you find most impressive about them?Flower Press Interactive has understood our needs well. The team takes the time to ensure they understand what we need. Flower Press Interactive is judicious and respectful of our budget. Flower Press Interactive has delivered a product that we can afford and is aesthetically pleasing and functional. The team has worked with us efficiently, even though this isn't a familiar area for us. Are there any areas they could improve?I don't have any critique for Flower Press Interactive because we have a satisfactory relationship. Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?I recommend reaching out to Flower Press Interactive and taking the time to meet with them. The team is very good at leading customers through questions if web design isn't their expertise, just like us. I encourage anyone needing web design services to meet with Flower Press Interactive.

### Building an AI-powered privacy policy tool
The Challenge
In today’s business environment, it is incredibly difficult to assess and manage privacy regulatory risks. Businesses are faced with ever-changing laws, differing regulations, and high consumer expectations regarding the protection of personal data. The data privacy landscape is hurtling towards an inflection point. More than ever, companies need tools to navigate increasingly complex privacy requirements. In the United States, 13 states have passed their own privacy regulations, eight of them in 2023 alone. Globally, 17 countries passed new privacy laws between February 2021 and March 2023, coinciding with record-breaking fines. The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) related fines grew 50% from 2022 to 2023.

The Outcome
The Common Sense Privacy Wizard and Dashboard is an enterprise software suite that uses the power of AI to offer companies a simple, cost-effective way to understand their privacy choices and manage risk. The Wizard guides users through a series of questions to help gather information about their business practices and create draft privacy policies and labels for the App Store and Play Store. The system offers an upgrade to a Privacy Dashboard, which evaluates privacy practices and identifies actionable insights and potential gaps in adherence to best practices and emerging regulations. Building on foundational IP from Common Sense Media, the nation’s leading child advocacy nonprofit organization, the platform boasts the most extensive repository of privacy evaluations worldwide.

### Optimizing a biotech firm website
The Challenge
Applied Stem Cell is a biotechnology company specializing in genome editing, iPSC technologies, and advanced cell therapy research. With a broad catalog of research tools, kits, and services designed for academic and biopharma researchers, the website faced usability challenges common to complex scientific e-commerce platforms. Purchase flows and product access were not fully streamlined, and the user experience was inconsistent across pages, particularly between informational content and commerce workflows. The site also required updated technical maintenance, as outdated plugins and WooCommerce dependencies created security and performance concerns. In addition, the complex product taxonomy made it difficult for researchers to easily navigate and compare highly technical offerings without clear UX cues. The business required more than routine maintenance; it needed thoughtful UX enhancements to drive conversion, reinforce trust, and provide clarity for sophisticated scientific buyers.
The Outcome
Researching and implementing solutions to these challenges has delivered measurable benefits across the platform. Researchers and buyers now experience clearer, more intuitive navigation and product discovery, making it easier to find and evaluate relevant tools and services. Ongoing plugin updates and WooCommerce health checks have reduced technical friction, resulting in fewer errors and a more secure, reliable storefront environment. Simplified e-commerce workflows have lowered cognitive load and increased conversion potential by making product acquisition more straightforward. Additionally, better alignment between informational content and product experiences has strengthened Applied Stem Cell’s brand positioning within the competitive biotech research market. Ongoing work will continue to support the company’s growth and evolving business needs.

### Refining a mission-critical delivery portal
The Challenge
A Salesforce Consulting Partner serving the building materials and construction industries engaged Flower Press to modernize a community portal for a well-known construction brand. The portal is used daily by customers to access order and delivery information, making reliability and clarity essential.
Over time, the portal had become increasingly difficult to manage and scale. It relied heavily on legacy Aura components and custom-built elements, complicating maintenance and limiting meaningful usability improvements. The underlying data hierarchy lacked clarity, and stakeholders needed a stronger design direction to move forward confidently into development.
Flower Press had originally helped build the community more than five years earlier. This redesign created a strategic opportunity to modernize the experience using the Salesforce Lightning Design System and align the platform with current Experience Cloud UX standards.
The Outcome
The redesigned Experience Cloud portal delivered a significantly cleaner, more intuitive experience for end users while providing stakeholders with the clarity and confidence needed to move seamlessly into implementation. Flower Press delivered a fully Lightning-aligned design system that eliminated legacy custom components, improved maintainability, and established a scalable foundation for future growth.
The streamlined information architecture and enhanced search capabilities reduced friction in day-to-day portal use, making order and delivery information easier to access. As a result, the client reports fewer customer service inquiries related to usability confusion.
The project was delivered on time with clear, consistent communication throughout. Potential risks were identified early, and collaboration remained proactive and efficient across virtual meetings and digital workflows.

### Optimizing a biomedical website
The Challenge
GenoBioTX, a biotechnology company, needed a website refresh to better differentiate itself from competitors and make it easier for customers to discover and understand its products. The existing site lacked visual impact and had a content structure that made it difficult for users to navigate efficiently.
The Outcome
As a first phase of the redesign, Flower Press Interactive reimagined the homepage and top-level pages, streamlining content and enhancing visual appeal. The team incorporated custom-designed icons and imagery, working within GenoBioTX’s existing brand guidelines to create a more cohesive and compelling user experience.
Our Approach
The project began with a collaborative discovery phase, where Flower Press designers met with key stakeholders to clarify the vision, goals, and functional needs of the redesigned site. From there, the team created a series of wireframes to restructure and prioritize content, focusing on usability and clarity. These wireframes were assembled into an interactive prototype for review and feedback.
Once the structure was approved, the visual design phase began. Designers layered in color, typography, custom iconography, and imagery, striking a balance between scientific credibility and visual approachability. Developers then translated the final designs into a fully responsive WordPress theme, building custom components as needed to support the new layout and features.
Ongoing Growth
With the refreshed homepage and key pages in place, GenoBioTX now has a stronger foundation to support growth, customer engagement, and product visibility. Flower Press Interactive looks forward to continuing the partnership by extending the updated design system across the rest of the website—further optimizing performance, consistency, and user experience.

### Opportunities for trades workers
The Challenge
Real Work, a start-up that focuses on connecting workers in the trades with those who hire them, needed a marketing site to promote and serve as an entry point to their product. It needed to be easy to navigate and visually compelling while maintaining a different look from the web application. It also needed to be easily updated by stakeholders and include a blog component that the Real Work team would manage.

The Outcome
The Real Work website is built for people to access and become familiar with the Real Work app. It clearly labels sections for different user types and seamlessly leads them into the web app. A built-in blog section, FAQs, and contact forms give users additional information about Real Work.

### Building a hiring platform for the trades
The Challenge
Real Work, a start-up that focuses on connecting workers in the trades with those who hire them, needed a platform that would serve both workers and employers. The construction and service industries need more skilled labor and it’s impacting their ability to get work done. The Real Work web application needed to include license and certification information from multiple states, and be built to scale. Employers needed to be able to customize and post job opportunities and workers needed to be able to add licenses and additional resume information to their profiles.
The Outcome
The Real Work web app is built for people in the trades and those who employ them. On the worker side, users can receive notifications about licenses about to expire and new jobs that may match their skill set, and customize their profile to reflect their work preferences and experience. Employers can post job openings, review candidates, and find the skilled workers they need. Both sides of the Real Work are simple to navigate and make connections through the platform.

### Designing a restaurant discovery tool
The Challenge
Food is at the center of our culture. Free time is limited. For people who value positive experiences while dining out, available tools for finding the right restaurant can be hit or miss. One can ask friends for recommendations, browse websites or randomly choose. For people who travel, or eat out frequently, remembering places they enjoyed or places recommended by friends can be challenging. This process often leads to needless repetition. Once people find a place they enjoy or a dish they like, they tend to visit the same places and order the same things repeatedly. This pattern creates a missed opportunity to experience and explore the world of food fully. SparkEatz believes there is a better way to bring people together around food with less wasted time and frustration.
The Outcome
SparkEatz is an app for finding and celebrating “the very best of food.” It’s a journal; it’s a social network; it’s a time saver. SparkEatz is a platform that allows users to bookmark restaurants they enjoy or want to try. Users can rate the restaurant, specific dishes, and experiences. Reviews can be straightforward or more detailed. When photos are included, SparkEatz feels like a memory book. The ratings and reviews allow users to recall their opinions about restaurants and dishes and keep track of future places to try. SparkEatz Discover also enables users to share experiences with others and view community ratings for restaurants and dishes. Unlike Foursquare or TripAdvisor, a user’s own opinion is at the center of SparkEatz. This information considered in context with one’s own opinions will allow users to make informed dining decisions and enjoy “the very best of food.”

### Streamlining car wash site operations
The Site Operations App is an enterprise application, built for iOS using React Native. The system allows onsite management to submit and track incidents and build peace of mind for their customers.
Case study: https://www.theflowerpress.net/work/brown-bear-site-ops-mobile-app

### Simplifying wash club enrollments
Streamlining enrollment into a popular Unlimited Wash Club
The Challenge
Car Wash Enterprises, Inc. has over 60 Brown Bear Car Wash locations in the Pacific Northwest. Their popular Unlimited Wash Club allows customers to get unlimited tunnel washes at any location for a fixed fee. Due to multiple internal systems lacking integration, enrollment in the Unlimited Wash Club had been a cumbersome process involving paper enrollment forms, fax machines, and full-time data entry staff entering customer data by hand into a CRM system. This process was slow and expensive, and with growing popularity, the volume made it unsustainable.
The Outcome
The Brown Bear Wash Club App is a fully integrated enterprise application, built for iOS using React Native. The system looks up customers by email, identifies the club they are attempting to activate and collects relevant information within the app. Entries are automatically submitted to a centralized CRM system, which starts the club immediately. The process takes just a few minutes and eliminates previous difficulties such as delays, difficult-to-read handwriting, and human error. The app doubled membership processing and helped to sell more club memberships.

### Enabling AI-powered movie recommendations
The Challenge
Family movie nights have historically been a cherished way to unite loved ones. However, the landscape has become increasingly complicated by competing individual devices, a plethora of streaming services, and the challenges of group decision-making. With 95% of US households accessing multiple streaming services and 88% struggling to find content that satisfies everyone, the simple joy of coming together for a movie can feel out of reach. Is there a solution that can restore this family tradition?
The Outcome
Watch Party AI is an app that simplifies content selection and group decision-making for family movie nights. Watch Party AI generates tailored movie recommendations across various streaming platforms by allowing each participant to input their mood and preferences. Each family member can select their favorites. The app addresses conflicting preferences by merging individual tastes into hybrid suggestions. Watch Party AI employs an intelligent tournament-style voting process, making the selection journey quick and enjoyable. Once a title is chosen, the app will guide users on how to watch it—whether through subscription, rental, or purchase. This solution enhances the movie selection experience and reinforces family bonds through shared cinematic experiences.

### Inspiring young female athletes
The Challenge
Young female athletes today are navigating pressures amplified by social media: comparison, self-doubt, and conflicting advice. Many struggle to find authentic guidance rooted in lived experience. At the same time, female college athletes face their own challenges. Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities are limited, making it difficult to expand their visibility and profit from their expertise.
SheSports set out to bridge this gap by creating a space where young girls could access real, relatable mentorship, while athletes could grow their voice and expand their reach.
The Outcome
SheSports became the first platform where the users themselves drive the conversation. Girls and parents can submit their own questions on topics ranging from body image and balancing academics with athletics to training, friendships, and leadership. Female college athletes then respond directly with honest, actionable advice in written or video posts. These posts are available for other SheSports users to view, allowing the community to benefit from each answered question.
The result is a supportive and interactive experience that stands out from those on social media. Girls gain authentic mentorship from role models they admire, athletes expand their visibility and NIL potential, and parents feel confident knowing the community is safe thanks to thoughtful built-in moderation. Together, these elements create a trusted space designed to inspire confidence, connection, and growth.

### Connecting girls with female college athletes
The Challenge
SheSports, a new platform to connect young athletes with women competing in college sports, needed a marketing site to promote and serve as an entry point to their product. The goal was to build an easy-to-navigate and visually compelling website that tied in design elements from the app. The SheSports team needed to be able to update and add content as needed.
The Outcome
The SheSports website is visually appealing to its targeted audience of young women. It showcases the SheSports app and how it works, and offers a simple path to download it and create an account. The website also serves as a platform to share featured athlete profiles and SheSports sponsors and partners. A simple admin makes it easy to keep content fresh and up-to-date.
Our Approach
Flower Press Interactive designers used colors and typography that complemented the SheSports app. They created icons to represent topics and sports and designed a dynamic website that feels fresh and youthful. Engineers then built the design using a WordPress block editor that is simple to maintain, including forms to create an account and contact support, and a platform for future blog posts.
Ongoing Growth
SheSports is emerging as a unique opportunity for young women in sports to connect with their role models. Flower Press Interactive is honored to work alongside SheSports as it extends its message of positivity to more of the country.

### Supporting mental conditioning for athletes
The Challenge
Student-athletes face growing pressure balancing home, school, and sports. They need an accessible and engaging way to improve their self-knowledge and, ultimately, their athletic progress and performance. Coaches require better methods to connect with their teams and tailor their training to individual needs. As a retired professional athlete, the founder of Before the Field wanted to create an engaging and easy way to meet these challenges.
The Outcome
Before the Field is a platform that supports athletes' development on and off the field by giving them the tools to understand who they are. The app allows students to share the context of their performance and growth as human beings with the people most important to them on their journey, including coaches who can use this information to customize their training methods.

### Compiling resources for aspiring doctors
The Challenge
The path to becoming a physician is long and complex. Students move from pre-med to residency with limited access to structured, trustworthy guidance and must rely instead on fragmented tools and informal advice. Doctors historically have had to search across multiple platforms for the resources and connections they need to grow early in their careers. A lack of community and consolidated information was negatively impacting young physicians’ progress.
The Outcome
Flower Press Interactive was engaged to help solve the problem of disconnected online resources for medical students and early doctors. Flower Press researched and created several platforms that work together to fill this gap, resulting in forums that hold deep institutional knowledge, calculators and selection tools, and residency review functions. The outcome is a support network community platform, where aspiring physicians can learn from those who have already navigated the path.

### Enabling economic and agricultural analysis
The Challenge
World Perspectives, Inc. has a growing audience of professionals who rely on its economic and agricultural analysis. As a leader in its field, the organization needed a platform that could communicate the value of its research while supporting a flexible subscription model.
The site needed to educate prospective users, convert them to subscribers, and provide seamless access to paid content. Internal authors also needed a reliable way to publish daily articles and distribute newsletters without technical overhead.
The Outcome
The platform clearly separates subscriber and non-subscriber experiences, guiding users toward subscription at the right moments without disrupting access to available content.
Since launching the original site in 2017, we have continued to refine both the interface and underlying system. The addition of Filament CMS expanded content control, while Stripe integration supports subscriptions, renewals, and payment management.
The result is a platform that supports both corporate subscriptions and individual user preferences, with straightforward account management.
Our Approach
We worked with stakeholders and end-users to understand how content is created, shared, and used across the organization. World Perspectives serves a specialized audience, including economists, investors, researchers, agricultural organizations, and import and export professionals. Customers range from government agencies like the USDA to private sector organizations, all relying on timely, relevant insights.
Content is organized into publications, typically purchased at the company level, with individuals tailoring what they receive based on regions and commodities. We designed the system to support this structure while keeping the experience clear and intuitive.
We simplified internal workflows so authors can publish articles and newsletters quickly through a streamlined admin experience.

### Designing AI-powered Medicare shopping
The Challenge
Shopping for Medicare insurance can be challenging. Existing websites provide generalized and incomplete plan recommendations, leaving shoppers with a lack of clarity and unwanted sales calls. Medicare Shopper aims to empower users by providing clear, personalized plan recommendations and only connecting them with agents licensed to sell their chosen plan. To achieve this, Medicare Shopper needed to create a seamless way to connect users with agents for private Medicare insurance. To provide personalized recommendations, they required a system to connect to an existing API that matches users with similar customer profiles, suggests suitable plans, and estimates total out-of-pocket costs.
The Outcome
Flower Press Interactive partnered with Medicare Shopper’s in-house development team to design a user-friendly web app that simplifies the process. The platform guides users through a structured questionnaire and integrates with the API to generate tailored plan suggestions. Thoughtful UX design, clear copy, and large, accessible buttons ensure ease of use for a wide audience. A fresh color palette and custom icons make the design fresh and help Medicare Shopper stand out from similar tools.
Our Approach
Medicare Shopper engaged Flower Press Interactive to work with their in-house development team for the visual and user experience (UX) design. Flower Press met with stakeholders to determine requirements and learn about design preferences. Next, FP designed a logo and color palette that reflect Medicare Shopper’s mission. Then, Flower Press prototyped key features and conducted multiple user interviews to test the language and flow of the questionnaire. After refinement, Flower Press built the interface for the screens within React and worked with Medicare Shopper developers to launch the product.

### Simplifying a fast and accurate diagnostic test
The Challenge
Uh-Oh Labs has been in the personalized diagnostic testing market for many years. Their diagnostic tests use the Loop-de-LoopTM platform, enabling simplicity, speed, and lower costs while providing accurate, lab-grade results. In 2021, Uh-Oh Labs was awarded a contract from the National Institutes of Health RDAx Initiative to commercialize its test. Their mobile app, which connected to their proprietary testing instrument via Bluetooth, was in a proof-of-concept stage and needed a complete overhaul to improve workflow and usability for both point-of-care and home environments.
The Outcome
Uh-Oh Labs Dx Pro and Dx Home are apps for iOS that allow individuals to run quick and accurate diagnostic tests, whether in a healthcare setting or at home. This platform helps keep communities safe. The apps received EUA approval in early 2022. It connects with the UOL Instrument using Bluetooth and allows one or more tests to be performed simultaneously. Results are delivered to the Dx app within 40 minutes with clear and specific information. The UOL Instrument is low-cost, and the app is free. The Dx Pro system is a good option for companies, schools, institutions, and clinics to offer quick and reliable diagnostic testing, while the Dx Home app supports users in home environments.
