Our client requested a design for his solar management system. After he was satisfied with the designs that we provided, we offered him to find a trusted partner for the actual development process. FH Solutions helped us to organize a plan for the entire project. At the beginning they shared their vision on the architecture of the application taking into consideration all the requirements from our client while using our designs. 

As a result, after the first stage of working with them, we received a structured work plan, and an architecture proposal. FH Solutions gave us an opportunity to choose whether to continue development with them or find another company. We really enjoyed this iterative and flexible approach and decided to go on with them. 

In the end they have developed a web application and an excellent cross-platform mobile app that together allow the users to manage their solar panel system and also conveniently monitor all the important metrics. In addition to that, after the launch of the application, FH Solutions helped our client with the development of a landing page for further promotion of the system. 

Everything was high-quality and according to the plan without any major unpleasant surprises. Now we are continuing our cooperation with FH Solutions. They are fixing bugs by supporting the project as well as occasionally adding new functionality.

Post every development phase, a review meeting was held to assess the work. Progress was gauged by comparing the planned objectives with the actual outcomes. The platform is now operational and serves numerous users across North America.

We reached out to FH Solutions requesting an employee based on our client's specific needs. They presented a selection of available specialists, each accompanied by their technical backgrounds and detailed CVs. After careful consideration, we selected a candidate with the required technical expertise and excellent soft skills. Following the interview process, we collaborated with this candidate through FH Solutions. 

Our partnership has continued for nearly two years, during which we've successfully hired six more professionals. This includes 3 front-end engineers, one of whom holds a lead position, one QA engineer, and 2 full-stack developers. These team members remain with us to this day. The professionals sourced by FH Solutions have played pivotal roles in our recently launched banking project, taking direct responsibility for development and testing activities. They have also made substantial contributions to several other client projects, functioning as front-end, full-stack, and mobile application developers, all of which have greatly benefited from their expertise.

We got an opportunity to design and develop a new version of web and mobile solution for one of our clients, EV charge point operator. The web side of the project was already up and running in the MVP stage by another firm, but our client was not satisfied with their efforts. We brought in FH Solutions as our remote development team to take the existing work that had already been done and build an updated version on top of it.

FH Solution’s primary task was to develop both the front-end and back-end sides of our client’s product, as well as a standalone mobile application. It was built using modern JavaScript frameworks and deployed to AWS. Mobile applications for Android and iOS were successfully uploaded to markets. I would require the use of cross-platform technologies for my future mobile applications due to the reduction of development time while maintaining high quality.

During development, FH Solutions was a bit limited in their freedom because the client insisted on using the existing version of API for communicating with charge stations. They had to learn the code, understand the underlying logic, and work with what they already had. However, their team did a fantastic job of taking that API into consideration. They developed their own backend for web and mobile components of the system, which work flawlessly with that charge station API. 

We provided FH Solutions with screens and user stories so they could learn the application and build it to the specifications. Most of the designs were already defined, but some UX work had to be done. 

For example, the checkout flow was missing a summary screen both on the web and mobile. This issue was brought up by FH Solutions after reviewing the documentation for the project. Their design team was able to create a new screen from scratch while maintaining the existing style and vision of the project. 

In the end, FH Solutions delivered the updated web application, a new mobile app for iOS and Android, as well as the backend, which tied all of them together. They are continuing to provide updates and maintenance on an ongoing basis.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After each sprint, the team conducts a demo to showcase their work. Progress is measured by comparing the scope of the sprint and the deliverables at the end of it. Currently, the app is live and enjoyed every day by thousands of users across Europe.

The project is split into two-week sprints. To date, all sprints have been completed in a timely manner. Their project managers try to ensure that each sprint is aligned with the requirements and proposed time estimates. They are polite, attentive to details, and always do their best to resolve all the difficulties.
