We received a website that works exactly as we needed it to and looks great too. Our employees are actually using and talking about it.

Their project management style emphasized flexibility, collaboration, and transparency. It was evident that they cared more about delivering what we needed and what would serve us well as opposed to following rigid processes. Most importantly is that they didn’t compromise on quality just to meet a deadline

First Canadian Financial Group provides life, disability, mechanical breakdown, and vehicle protection insurance products. The company primarily serves the automotive and recreational vehicle industry across Canada.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Fabled Solutions?

Fabled Solutions built a highly robust menu-selling sales tool for us. Then, they built several other web applications to fit into our suite of dealership-facing sales tools.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fabled Solutions navigated a complex system of province-specific regulatory and tax rules. They accommodated our extensive list of products and forms and the different combinations that they are offered in depending on vehicle type (Auto, RV, Powersports) or dealership location. The product gained complexity steadily over time as our business has evolved. 
Fabled Solutions has delivered the ability for each client to have a library of custom-built bundles that can be presented to clients in-house or remotely. Clients can further customize those bundles to suit individual buyer preferences, with all changes updated in real-time for buyers throughout the sales process. Clients can also customize the way bundles and products are presented or how they are accepted and declined by buyers, and the completed deal data flows seamlessly back into our system for certificate generation.

We encountered some challenges, such as a very complex regulatory and tax framework in Canada, which varies by province. A wide variety of products that can be sold in different combinations and forms depending on the client's province and the vehicle type. Regional differences in selling techniques and presentation preferences. Significant changes to our product offering over time.

We’ve worked with five teammates from Fabled Solutions.

How did you come to work with Fabled Solutions?

Our director of technology conducted an online search and interviewed various local development teams to find the one that could accommodate our needs the best. We chose Fabled Solutions because they were extremely client-focused, open, creative, and innovative. The team was excellent at understanding our problem and finding customized, elegant solutions.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Fabled Solutions in spring 2017, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project has been a success, and our clients see a significant boost in sales when utilizing the tool compared to deals where it isn’t used. The feedback has been positive. The per-deal profit is significantly higher when the tool is used, and the adoption of the tool increases annually.

Fabled Solutions is skilled at understanding a challenge and coming up with unique an ingenious solutions. They take our ideas and enhance them into more efficient and elegant designs.

How did Fabled Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Fabled Solutions has supported us when we’ve needed changes made with tight timelines and has always met deadlines. We primarily communicate via email and frequent meetings.

They followed a tailored agile methodology. They were transparent with me every step of the way. They were collaborative and flexible and responded to my needs, input, and requests. There were delays with the project but these were communicated throughout the process.
