We are launching a new business line - bebeliso.com. For this specific project we decided to work with an established marketing professionals or agency to set up the brand, website and digital marketing activities of the e-commerce. So we decided to contract ExpandX for all that.

They offered quite professional and smooth initial process of discovering our pain points, goals and expectations which ultimately made us choose them as our services provider.

We started with the logo, branding and brand identity creation. We extensively worked with the design team of ExpandX. We are absolutely happy with the final results also with the overall process of creation of that. We started from 0 and it was not easy to begin but we were guided all the time which made the process really easy and effective. We passed through several project cycles and revisions.

Everything was planned well and executed flawlessly. We also developed a sophisticated Digital Marketing Strategy assembling all types of activities needed for the initial 2 years of operations, we did budged planning and marketing mix drilled down to the very specifics needed. We now started work on the website and the project management patterns and standards of ExpandX show again.

We work with close to 8-9 team members (design, marketing, strategy, IT and web dev teams) but all the e-mail communication wish channeled down by and managed by 1 project manager which makes it all really smooth and easy for us.

The logo and branding we have managed to form is of really high-class international quality, which was extremely important for us, starting and aiming at positioning an intentional e-commerce business. We have been also provided a very detailed brand book that we actually never thought of being set as an instrument that will allow us to coordinate and ensure equal brand presence from now onward. Definitely great value for money as well considering we did not initially go for a budged solution when selecting the vendor.

As per the digital marketing strategy developed and delivered we have to say that we are not happy we also ordered that service since during the development process we saw how many important points we have actually been missing with our other activities and it is great that we now have those well and properly aligned, planned and set in the right places.

We first work on the branding aspects of the new website which already had some foundations based on other similar projects we had in other EU countries. Once work was completed we moved on the website development services. We were given a very precise overview of the steps, status quo updates, timelines, and deliverable.

All timelines were met and the team that got engages in the work was extremely communicative and throughout in their explanations on what, why and how we process the tasks. We felt we are in secure hands. The projects had delivery cycles. After each cycle we submitted our review and comments. After re-work was processed we moved on until we got the final results set.

Once the website was completed we also moved into video marketing serves that we have to say are absolutely great! We are fascinated by the approach, creativity, professionalism, and quality of the team. We look forward to working with ExpandX in other projects of ours too!

Mainly communication was with a project manager, Ellie, that handled all processes, details and coordination among us and other team members but we also got in direct communication with design team, web development team, IT, and also video marketing team. Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The website we got converts absolutely great all the visitors we gradually attracted via all the marketing activities processed after the launch. This was the most important for us. In general the website followed all the crucial factors that the team advised on in terms of design, front-end, back-end, CMS, technical details, UX,UI and others we were not the experts on.

Same applies to the video ads created with the first pack of this services order. They convert really well when put in the ads environment and our marketing mix. Lead gen is super important for us so we are satisfied we managed to tune in the right process of attracting those with the right web assets (website, branding and video ads).

Communication was mainly via email, and when needed via Zoom. Also rarely by telephone. It was very well planned, organized and smooth. Also effective which was great.

They then developed the e-commerce website as a vehicle for the marketing strategy and finally, to save time in sample production, they advised that they could develop digital designs of my products to aid in pre-sales marketing. This has helped me to save a lot of money and time.

This was very specific as we work with leading world-wide Cybersecurity vendors. All the work was done on time and at top professional level. All minor tasks and major projects we worked on. Everything was completed in detail, after each phase there was feedback and status quo update. The new website we have is performing really well – minimalistic, fast, easy to navigate and use, engaging.

The promo videos and video ads we have received from ExpandX are indeed of a great quality too. The digital ads (all the campaigns we have run with the team) have proven to form amazing KPIs. We actually got the leads we needed out of the complex strategies built. It takes time but the team of ExpandX know how to approach sophisticated project with long-term goals.

For all the time we work together with ExpandX we were always carefully consulted with useful practices, examples and arguments that definitely help us get better decisions and have a positive impact on the business.

We haven't set up any measurement tools, and once the marketing campaign is ready, I am sure the sales will increase because of the skilled work about the brand identity and exaggerating my USPs.

We had several meetings every time they achieved a new milestone. We didn't set up weekly appointments because the outcome was obvious, and the project wasn't such big to incrementally involve feedback on a scheduled basis.

We searched the web, we found them via Clutch, we checked the reviews, did a more thorough research on the company and send them an inquiry. Then we were nicely surprised with the initial approach, the briefs and info we covered for our needs, business and marketing.

We were sent two separate questionnaires to fill in which gave us more context of what exactly we need, how to plan it and execute it. All this along with the very good communication we established with them was a definite decision factor.

The website we got is great and our clients love it. It is fast, modern, minimalist, easy to navigate and browse, have great design and content structure. We see that our clients are using it properly and stay on it more than the usual time set for that. It is also very easy for us to run it from the back end, do updates, change info when and where needed. We are quite happy with the results.

As per the digital marketing services I can say that the same standard of work and professional approach was set for this side of the project too. The team has designed very well-thought creatives, copy and delivered a year-round strategy, separated in yearly quarters each of three months periods. Estimations on reach, KPIs and goals was set.

The technical setting of the communication platforms we agreed to advertise on was delivered with extremely great know-how by ExpandX. Results which we measure at the end by number of leads generated started increasing gradually month by month and continue in that direction now.

I’m the CEO and one of the three co-founders of Innov8. I and my schoolmates followed through on the idea for this company after I got my PhD in a university in Switzerland. We’re in the automotive industry and provide niche-orientated services.

What challenge were you trying to address with ExpandX Marketing & Web?

We were dormant for a year and a half, but because of the COVID-19 situation, we’ve had more time to push our ideas forward. We’ve decided to look for a marketing and web development company that could also offer consulting services, and that’s how we ended up working with ExpandX.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We are innovating microchips that help optimize data reception for all the verticals and horizontals of car manufacturers. If stakeholders want to improve the quality of the brake system, for example, they could use our IoT solution to transmit data from the vehicle computer to a central point. Since we’re only in the research and development phase, we are working to get more investors and gain wider brand awareness.

After an initial marketing consultation with ExpandX, they sent us a proposal and we started working on the development of our website, which is still ongoing. To further establish our digital presence, we’ve also created social media pages on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. 

Their team has helped define our company’s complex mission, products, and services, and produced a video presentation that encapsulates all of these, which we use as part of our digital strategy.

We’ve since moved on to contacting potential investors and collaborators who could join our initiative and help grow our idea. We’ve also reached out to prospective clients in Germany, Bavaria, Austria, and Switzerland. 

This particular project is set for six months. At the end of July 2021, we will be revising our strategy based on how the website, social media pages, and overall digital marketing are performing.

The owner of ExpandX is my key contact. I also communicate with the project manager on a day-to-day basis, but I believe there are more people involved who cover web development and the technical aspects of our digital marketing campaigns.

At the beginning of 2021, we were looking for service providers within Switzerland but found them super expensive. We searched for other agencies in Germany, and a friend of mine recommended ExpandX. 

We approached the team with questions about how we could take on our marketing in terms of building the website, managing social media pages, and PR. I was a bit skeptical at first since I only knew them through a personal reference, but after that consultation, ExpandX presented a professional offer that made us decide to work with them.

Our current contract costs between $50,000–$200,000. This covers the one-off web development project as well as the monthly consultation and implementation services that we receive from them.

Our campaigns are still due to launch, so we don’t know yet how ExpandX’s efforts will reflect on our goals. All of our measures for success are quite subjective at the moment, but we’ve become active in the digital world, and everyone whom I’ve shown our website to has given positive feedback. Lately, we’ve also been receiving a lot of attention and interest on LinkedIn because of our posts. This, to me, is an indication that we are definitely doing the right thing. 

How did ExpandX Marketing & Web perform from a project management standpoint?

The owner of ExpadX is always there to answer any questions I might have. The team communicates superbly and gives me advice day after day. 

They push back on our ideas instead of just jumping into everything that we ask of them. I’ve found value in their suggestions when it comes to design, structure, value proposition, and how we could approach potential collaborators.

What did you find most impressive about them?

If we had gone with an agency in Switzerland, we would’ve been paying ten times the amount for far less collaboration. ExpandX, however, has been delivering world-class service for the past four months.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I can think of at the moment.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You definitely need to know what you want not just in the short-term but in the long term as well. Establish concrete goals, like how you want to be positioned in the market within a one-year time frame, or how you want to be recognized by competitors, clients, and partners. 

ExpandX will surely provide you with a strategy and a valuable digital presence, but you will find more success if you go into a project knowing what results you want to achieve. The more you give them, the more they can give back.
