For the website development part, we needed a modern, information-rich, interactive website, that convinces students to provide their information. And it has to be built from scratch.

Eminence Technology started the project with our website development. They brought multiple mockups that attract students the most. We went for the playful and interactive mockup, then they led to creating the website in the discussed timeframe.

Next, when they introduced themselves as digital marketing experts too, we again hired them to market our training institute. They distributed the budget perfectly over organic & inorganic techniques.

The website development project consisted of one developer, one UX designer, and a technical project manager that was in touch with us. Meanwhile, in digital marketing we were in touch with one person.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

VersionQ is built from scratch and we were able to get so many registrations. The website was built in less than what was proposed in the timeline. The website was incredible, playful which became info-rich for students, and as a result, we were getting registration very easily.

On the Digital Marketing side, due to their expertise in the field, with a combination of organic and inorganic techniques, we were getting 10 registrations at least on a single day.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Skype was the preferred mode of communication between us and them. The communication was great and we used to get daily task details and digital marketing provided us weekly stats of the campaigns executed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their sheer will of making clients happy impressed us the most. They provided the best solution and gave their very valuable inputs in the marketing scope of us. The team completed the website before the timeline with flawless execution.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We were happy with their services. They care for their clients, and we don't think there are any areas for improvement.

I needed help with developing an osCommerce website after several failed relationships with other online contractors.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Eminence Technology first redeveloped our osCommerce site, fixing the mistakes of previous developers. They took care of the wireframes and technical documentation. They used phpMyAdmin and SQL to build the database, and they also integrated a third-party feature to handle payment transactions.

Since then, Eminence Technology worked on all our sites on various platforms. That includes a Simple Machines Forum (SMF) message board, a WordPress blog, and our online store.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team continues to provide support. In one case, our website was hacked during a large book promotion campaign. I sent an email to Gagen (Web Developer, Eminence Technology). He was on vacation with his family in the Pacific, but he got on our case right away, organized his team in India, and ended the crisis in 12 hours. I can’t think of an onshore company that could’ve responded that fast. Their integrity is beyond reproach.

How did Eminence Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

Whenever we have a problem, Gagen fixes it without question. He also can communicate fluently in English, which has been helpful in preventing misunderstandings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team has unquestionable integrity. They get stuff done and stand behind their work. I’m thoroughly impressed with Gagen.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If I could think of any, I would’ve dumped Eminence Technology.

Give them an opportunity to submit a bid for your project. As with any outsourced partner, start with something small before you give them something big.

Filmhauer sells digitized World War 2 film footage to universities, documentary projects, and collectors. I wanted to provide a website for them to access and purchase this footage.

What was the scope of their involvement?

It began with regular PHP programming and developing a WordPress base for the site. They also built e-commerce functionality into the website with osCommerce. Their team worked on the backend to make the website come to life. They didn’t do the graphic design, but they implemented all the graphics and plans I gave them.

Since the initial build, they’ve helped with other projects as I’ve thought of them. They helped with a newsletter system and for the Facebook page. Because we have such a large database, they created an archive for premium clients to see other films not listed on the website.

What is the team composition?

Gagan (Senior Developer, Eminence Technology) is my main point of contact. I work with three or four different programmers connected to the company.

I started working with Gagan through Upwork. Eventually, Gagan introduced me to other workers who were at the company.

We’ve invested around $25,000. I’m charged at reasonably-priced hourly rate. For large projects, they negotiate fixed prices.

The work began in 2006 and they have been working on it on a project-by-project basis for over 10 years. The projects were different lengths—some took months and others took days.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

My website wouldn’t exist without them. The backend has gotten quite complex, and I don’t have any programming experience. if something goes down, they always jump to action immediately. Everything I’ve done is through Eminence Technology, and I really do see them more as a partner. I have 100% customer satisfaction. It’s been a very positive experience.

I think they do a better job of capturing my vision than I do. I would have ideas about the project and they refined the scope based on the cost of work, profitability, and technical workarounds. For example, rather than develop a new custom functionality from scratch they’d suggest a plug in osCommerce module that would save many hours of work.

How did Eminence Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s a little disorganized, which is mostly my fault, but they get all the work done. Initially, I was hoping that we could keep track of the tasks we’d done because sometimes I’d forget what functionalities the website had. But they didn’t want to keep track of individual updates, so everything has been on the fly. There’s nothing really negative about that, though.

I’d be in contact with Gagan if I had any questions. If one programmer didn’t work out, we could switch to a different programmer with no problems.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re certainly interested in my end result and doing what I need. They help me understand the possibilities of the programming and find the best way of completing it.

No, there’s nothing I can think of.

You should go into the conversation with an open mind about what you want to accomplish. They’re really creative and technically capable.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Eminence Technology has provided Figma and Loom videos of the deliverables, demonstrating their understanding of the project. The videos have shown me the first stages of the outcome, including the coding milestones and examples of the software.

The screens we’ve seen are significantly better and more up-to-date than what we expected. The web-based software can do much more for consultants, including automation features that allow them to do more than what we currently have.

For example, the software will help consultants create service agreements and receipts in a more straightforward and modern way. 

Being able to access the software from anywhere will allow consultants to work anywhere. They no longer have to call the office for more information because everything will be at their fingertips. This will improve our income and efficiency because we won’t have to wait on or call other offices for more information, saving time and money.

We expect to achieve at least a 30% reduction in time and costs compared to current levels. We’ll measure the savings from the streamlined processes, as many of our current processes are still done manually, including data entry, file storage, file viewing, and diary management.

Eminence Technology has excellent communication and management. They respond to us promptly. We’ve faced very few challenges during the project, such as time schedules. The completion has been extended by one to two months.
