Functioning software! You click on things and it does what it's supposed to.

This is a highly research-intensive project, meaning we solve novel problems on a daily basis. There are no deadlines. But we've always been very happy with the rate of progress, and communication is excellent. Achhar absorbs requirements and rewrites them to include specific solutions such as formulae and data structure. Aligning objectives has always been very easy, and rework is minimal. This is one of the best-communicating providers I've ever worked with.

Curiosity. Our macro solution for this project was theoretical; Achhar digested our objectives and did immense amounts of research to design solutions. He's always seemed authentically interested in what we're building.

We hired Eminence to fill a specific role on our team, areas where we're not so strong ourselves. I'm completely happy with how they've filled that role.

We needed an integration between our access control system and our scheduling system. Until this was completed we had to do this manually which was not only error prone but also very time consuming. This was unsustainable and limited the growth of our company.

I was recommended them by my website developer who I have used for many years. The responsiveness and value for money were also deciding factors.

Eminence Technology developed a bespoke database to allow the integration between two very different third party software systems. The work involved the capture of information from the scheduling software and ensure it was received by the access control system.

This means that when an appointment is scheduled/ cancelled/ rescheduled this action is accurately captured to allow the correct door of our therapy rooms to open (and lock) at the correct time and for the correct person. This is not simple and many different factors are involved. After extensive testing we are now live and it works brilliantly.

Three people worked with me initially and then two core people carried on throughout the project. This was to develop the software and to manage the project.

As a result of this integration work we save on average 3 hours' work/day and human error is now no longer a concern. Throughout the project the team stuck close to the deliverables and never waivered in their hard work to make it happen.

Sometimes I wished he could have spotted earlier some design bugs that were pretty clear, but nothing that didn't get fixed promptly after letting him know.

Eminence is an integral part of all phases of our product development life cycle including prototyping, analysis, development, Q/A, deployment and on-going maintenance. Key deliverables include design and code artifacts. Multiple tech stacks are in use depending on the product lines. Some of the technologies used are: Angular, PHP, .Net Core, ElasticSearch, SQL (MySQL, MSSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB) etc.

Typical outcomes are deliverables that get deployed for new product release, version updates, Maintenance releases, and prototypes. Generally the outcomes are positive.

Agile, responsive and generally timely. Various communication and collaboration tools are in the mix including Rallydev, SLACK, shared docs etc.

Eminence Technology has been flexible and timely.

Everyone can continue to improve. making additional investments in communication (language etc.) would probably be beneficial for its growth.

Having the developer as the main contact has been helping us discuss things in detail with no waste of time. He has been very prompt and hardworking. Sudeep regularly sends us his work summary and graphics of his work done.

Communication can be sometimes challenging when working remotely, especially from overseas, but with video call and other modern technologies, the challenge has been alleviated.

We've expanded on the scope for over a year now, but the main idea was to build out a member-side integration and a directory. The directory included an easy sign-up process and payment features (which span multiple plugins). This was all built on WordPress.

We were able to implement everything we wanted to implement, and all our metrics increase from the outcome.

We used Upwork to communicate as well as a running document with a backlog of fixes/updates. We have met regularly to discuss the updates needed and get on the same page.

Things seem to be implemented perfectly when we are able to jump on a call and talk through the exact fix/update needed. Writing it out without any additional discussion sometimes requires follow-ups.

I used an online freelancer website (Upwork) to advertise the job. I received over 30+ replies, interviewed 5 people, and then hired Eminence Technology after the interviews. They seemed to know exactly what I wanted to achieve.

Eminence Technology took the new product announcement and approached various different online resources to obtain backlinks to the client's product listing. We were looking for links from guest posts, social bookmarking, classified ads, imaging sharing, product listing, search engine submissions, and directory submission web sites.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It is a hard one to quantify but we were looking for external links over a period of up to 8 weeks after the new product announcement and would indicate to the main site where the product was listed that there were activities taking place off their platform. To this end, the product we worked on has remained popular and sales are consistently good.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very good, we used the freelancer website but also used skype and used Google Docs to share work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Very thorough and patient. Made suggestions about how to improve the job in order to achieve the results we wanted.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes but we discussed these whilst the job was still ongoing, we changed the way we worked on this project and have made decisions about how we would work together in the future.

Eminence Technology started the project with our website development. They brought multiple mockups that attract students the most. We went for the playful and interactive mockup, then they led to creating the website in the discussed timeframe.

Next, when they introduced themselves as digital marketing experts too, we again hired them to market our training institute. They distributed the budget perfectly over organic & inorganic techniques.

The website development project consisted of one developer, one UX designer, and a technical project manager that was in touch with us. Meanwhile, in digital marketing we were in touch with one person.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

VersionQ is built from scratch and we were able to get so many registrations. The website was built in less than what was proposed in the timeline. The website was incredible, playful which became info-rich for students, and as a result, we were getting registration very easily.

On the Digital Marketing side, due to their expertise in the field, with a combination of organic and inorganic techniques, we were getting 10 registrations at least on a single day.

Skype was the preferred mode of communication between us and them. The communication was great and we used to get daily task details and digital marketing provided us weekly stats of the campaigns executed.

I’m the founder and president of Knowledge Mountain Media. We’re an auxiliary sales branch of the Knowledge Mountain Church of Perpetual Genesis and distribute religious pamphlets and written materials.

I needed help with developing an osCommerce website after several failed relationships with other online contractors.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Eminence Technology first redeveloped our osCommerce site, fixing the mistakes of previous developers. They took care of the wireframes and technical documentation. They used phpMyAdmin and SQL to build the database, and they also integrated a third-party feature to handle payment transactions.

Since then, Eminence Technology worked on all our sites on various platforms. That includes a Simple Machines Forum (SMF) message board, a WordPress blog, and our online store.

The team continues to provide support. In one case, our website was hacked during a large book promotion campaign. I sent an email to Gagen (Web Developer, Eminence Technology). He was on vacation with his family in the Pacific, but he got on our case right away, organized his team in India, and ended the crisis in 12 hours. I can’t think of an onshore company that could’ve responded that fast. Their integrity is beyond reproach.

How did Eminence Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

Whenever we have a problem, Gagen fixes it without question. He also can communicate fluently in English, which has been helpful in preventing misunderstandings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team has unquestionable integrity. They get stuff done and stand behind their work. I’m thoroughly impressed with Gagen.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If I could think of any, I would’ve dumped Eminence Technology.

Give them an opportunity to submit a bid for your project. As with any outsourced partner, start with something small before you give them something big.
